SPA 112/122 FW 1.1.0 (011) provisioning problem

I have problem with provisionig Cisco SPA 112/122 after upgrade FW to 1.1.0 (011).
Is there any solution or just we should not use this FW?
We use provisioning by entering url to
Profile Rule: http://prov.802.cz/prov.xml
set short times and Submit, but nothing happens :-(
After downgrade FW to 1.0.1 (022) provisionign work with no problem.

We have identified some provisioning issues and those are fixed in the upcoming release which should be out on cisco.com in the next 2 weeks. Thank you.

Force/lock rtp ports in SPA 112/122.

Hi,
I hope someone can help me. I am looking for a setting inside the Cisco/Linksys spa 112/122 which can force the rtp source port to be the same on the sip provider - is that possible? When the spa 112/122 connects to the sip provider is the port number from the box is 16384(standard range 16384-16482 inside the spa) but on the sip provider will respons with eg. port 36741.

Before you proceed to add the line shown below, I'm guessing you're unable to access and PING 172.20.16.8 once you've successfully VPN in, am I right? If yes, which groupname and username did you use? Lastly, did you use IPSEC VPN Client or WebVPN?

SPA 112 PROBLEM WITH SIMULTANEOUS CALLS

HELLO,I HAVE A PROBLEM IN THE ATA SPA 112 ABOUT SIMLUTANEOUS CALLS. The ata has 2 lines,when a call falls in line 1, the call on line 2 falls at the same time...and when I'm on line 1 and I recevive a call on line 2 the call in line 1 becomes mute and then drops.I didn' have these problems with the old pap2t .
Can you please help me to solve this problem ? Do I have to change something in the configuration ? Thanks,Mario

I had found out about the timing problem in the meantime, but did not find a way to mark this thread as solved.
There are two timing values: one is the PSTN answer delay, and the other one the PSTN ring timeout.
It seems that ring timeout should be longer than ring time + ring pause. As long as this conndition is not met. the dial plan is not even considered

Cisco SPA 112 outbound call issue.

Firstly, i applogize if i havent posted this in the correct section but this was my best educated guess.
Recently upgraded to a Cisco SPA 112 which works fine.. but only for a few days,
then If i try to call a number i get the dial tone but the number fails to
connect & all i hear is silence. If i hang up the phone to retry it fails to
disconnect correctly and i get no dial tone for several minutes. After leaving the phone
hungup for a few mins the dail tone returns but the same problem is still present.
A hard/soft reset of the 112 fixes the issue temporarily, but reoccures again withinn a few days.
Running Sipgate on lines 1 and 2 on Virgin media UK ISP.

Gabriel, I have an FTP running on my sat receiver which i will attempt to use to catch the log, but as for the the "sipgate registration", when i loose conection my ata reports its still registered & the sipgate URL, isnt in real time as far as i can tell.
My ata would have normally shown its fault since my first post 6 days ago, but unfortunately a recent power cut has reset my testing period back to 1 day.

We are using Cisco SPA 112 adapter and it is having 2 lines,I configured both of the lines.
There is no issue in line 1 but line 2 is automatically went to disable mode.After that i have to manually enabled that option.
Please help me to fix this issue

Updating spa 112 with firmware 1.0.2 (006)

I recently purchased a spa 112 and configured for the VoIP offered by my ISP. It work more or less fine but I would like to update to the latest firmware to have access to call display and other options.
The update process mentioned specifying a path where the new firmware is saved in the Phone Adapter Configuration Utility under the administration "tab". In my case, all that shows up on the left hand side is the quick setup option. This is true regardless of the actual tab selected.
It looks like I have an older hardware (1.0.0) and firmware 1.0.2 (006) version. Could someone direct me to the procedure to update to a newer firmware?

I had exactly the same problem. My original firmware was as well 1.0.2 and I wanted to upgrade to 1.3.3. However changing the browser didn't work (IE 8, IE 11, Firefox, Chromium, Safari).
Instead I used the following direct upgrade link:
http:///Upgrade_run.asp;session_id=
where has to be replaced by the generated ID after login (see address bar).
Example:

SPA 112 and 122 returns 486 Busy Here while line is idle

Hi all,
I am running on an issue where the SPA112 (and also ran into the same on an SPA122) returns a "486 Busy Here" on the INVITE request even though the line is idle.
I tried a soft reboot and even upgraded it to 1.3.2 but still no luck. Nothing much coming from the debug and since it is not the first time this happens, I would like to see if others ran into this and what was done to recover from it.
I am asking my customer to unplug the ATA and wait a minute. I'll see if that fixes the issue.

Just to close on this topic, I actually suspect the customer to have activated the DND (*78) by mistake since we have *98 to get to voicemail.
Unfortunately, the unit got replaced so can't confirm but looks like a reasonable explanation and behavior since you don't want DND state to change on unit reboot and even firmware upgrade.

Where is the NTP setup in the web GUI on SPA 112 ?

It used to be in the System tab, and used the time zone and DST settings in the Regional Tab.
I bought this device recently and I cant find in the GUI the NTP settings

Security update 2011-011 caused problems for Wacom tablet

I have Wacom Bamboo Fun (model CTE-650) tablet, which have since worked well after every passed "security updates". However, after I installed new Security update 2011-011, it started to act weird. I can move pen pointer on screen, but cannot select anything and can't move windows etc..
I checked the disk, verified and repair permissions, and also tried to install most recent Wacom tablet driver but nothing have helped so far. Does anyone experienced this? Any solutions..?

I too have problem with my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet (in this case the CTE-450). It acts as normal mouse, it does not map to the screen coordinates, only to up. down, left right movement.
When I open the Tablet preference pane, it tells me it does not detect any tablet. I restarted, and nothing. I reinstalled the latest driver (Driver 5.2.4-4(RC) for OS X 10.6, 10.5 & 10.4 (PPC & Intel) from 15 Feb 2011) and still does not work.

Is there a way to download the 2 User Definable Ringtones on the SPA 50x and 303 family by provisioning?
I know, there is a way to townload by Browser and a corresponding URL. But i am searching a way to do this by provisioning.

You can discover it by yourself. Download a ring by browser, then look at actual phone's XML configuration (http://ip-phone-address/admin/spacfg.xml). If you will found the URL of downloaded ring tones here, then you discovered the appropriate tag at the same time. If no URL here, then it seems not to be possible to do via provisioning.

MBP 011 Bootup Problems

Hey guys,
Got an issue with my new MacBook pro. It won't boot. I was having trouble with it in OS X so went on to boot camp and changed it to boot in Windows 7. Now when I try turn it on it makes that 'sound' on the gray screen then shuts down and tries again. Its just a big circle.
Any ideas?
Honestly, I'm so bored of it. It constantly crashes, doesn't work on various WiFi, doesn't 'just work'. I just want to get it in working (as close to wrking as OS X can get) order so I can put it on eBay and never have to deal with Mac again.

I don't think you're an Apple hater and frankly I wouldn't care if you were. I think you have mucked up your MacBook Pro and wont take the time to deal with it systematically. Good luck with Windows.

SPA112 firmware upgrade from 1.0.1 to 1.2.1 kills the SPA

I took a brand-new, unconfigured SPA112 out of the box, plugged it into DHCP-enabled network, noted it was running v1.0.1 firmware and attempted a firmware upgrade to 1.2.1 via the web management utility.
After reporting a successful upgrade there was no further response from the SPA112 to HTTP requests, neither was there any response to pings. ARP requests are responded to successfully. The IVR works (as well as the IVR ever works) until I selected to perform a factory reboot at which point the IVR stopped responding as well. Holding the reset button for 20sec does nothing useful. It's dead, Jim.
I've had this experience on another SPA112 as well under similar circumstances although there is nothing in the Release Notes for v1.2.1 to say that such an upgrade does not work.
My questions:
1)Is there any way of recovering these devices or do I need to send them back to Cisco?
2) How am I supposed to perform such a firmware upgrade?

I tried upgrading the firmware upgrade from v1.0.1 to v 1.2.1 and I had the same problem. The device just stopped responding. I tried that in a lab and I figured out what exactly to do when you get in to a problem like that. So lets start off once again.
Snce SPA112 must get an IP first through a DHCP on WAN port. Connect the SPA 112 device according to the instructins told in this article till the step 3.

Once you access the web GUI of SPA112 follow the contents of the following article and upgrade the firmware

In your case I believe the window got stucked at the point when it says "The upgrade is successful" and then there was no further response to HTTP requests.
Restart the device and see if it works or not. If it does not then log in to the router web GUI and navigate to the ARP table and see what are the VLAN assigned to the IP address.
NOTE: Both the router and SPA should be in the same VLAN. This way only the device will respond to the HTTP requests. If they are in a different VLAN's, navigate to the VLAN and disable the LAN memberships. For example there are two VLAN ID 1 and 100. Disable the LAN ports for the ID 100 and only enable it for 1.
Navigate to the ARP table again and refresh it. Both the IP addresses should be in the same VLAN. If yes. Access the SPA112 with an IP address assigned to it again and navigate to Administration > Firmware Upgrade. You will see the firmware of the device has been upgraded.
(optional) Upgrade the firmware again. This time, it will go through and the device will restart.
