Split with Attachments

Dear All,
I would thank you for any help in the following issue.
I have split in a process which split the flow of the process to go to 3 users for approvals and each user can add attachments before it submit. The issue is that after the 3 users submit the form what is shown in the step after the split is only the attachment of the last person who submit if he have attachments and the rest of the attachments are lost.
How can i resolve this issue any body can help please?

Hi Ziad
As far as I'm aware, there is no implicit way to solve this problem.
The best was I can think of to solve this problem is:
- Store the attachments for each of the branches in the split as a separate List variable. (You must be using Livecycle 7.2 in order for this option to be available in the User QPAC.)
- Following the split, have a QPAC that merges all the documents from all the branches into a single combined list.
We would be happy to develop this "Merge" QPAC for you, if you're intersted. Please contact [email protected] to discuss further.

    Hi Raghava
    Thanks for the response.
The approach you suggest works for form data (although it can be quite tedious to merge the data using SetValue).
However, attachments are not stored as form data, they're stored by the Form Manager application inside the database.
We've written a QPAC called ListMerge, which will allow you to merge the attachments from a series of User steps, and present them to a new user.
If anyone monitoring this thread is interested in this QPAC, please email [email protected]

  • Exch2013 - OWA Message with Attachments Error

    Greetings,
This morning I worked on an issue with an email that has 5 attachments sent to multiple people in my organization. The type of attachments include one .docx file (830 KB) along with four .mp4 files (21MB total). When this email is viewed in OWA for all recipients
besides one, they can view the email and attachments without issue. On one particular mailbox I see the email in the Inbox but when I select it I get "Error: Your request can't be completed right now. Please try again later."
If I forward the same email to this user I get the same error again. If I break the email into two emails, splitting the attachments up, three on one email and two on the other email, it comes through correctly.
My mind goes to some type of send/receive limit on the user but when I check the limits on the user account, and on the database, I have no limits set. Also all users are on the same database so that wouldn't support that idea.
Can someone explain to me what could cause an email to show correctly on all recipients for this email but for one recipient they receive that error?
    Thanks,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Just one user cannot open big size attachment in OWA, it seems an issue on the specific user side.
Please let the specific user change to another computer and Browser for testing.
    Thanks

  • Can not view (some) emails with attachments

There has already been some discussion about individuals getting the "This message has not been downloaded from the server" error.
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=4983643
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I am using GMail and am having problems reading (some) emails with attachments. I can read the first several lines through the preview view, but can not open (some) emails without getting the "This message has not been downloaded from the server" error.
The problem appears to be completely random. The problem occurs sometimes after I open the email on my computer, and other times it occurs before I open the email on my computer. And sometimes opening the email on my computer does not cause any problem opening the email on my phone.
I have seen this problem on two different phones now and have re-created the email accounts on both phone several times. But the problems keeps (eventually) appearing--for some, but not all emails.
     PowerBook G4, Macintosh 512K     iPod nano (2nd Gen 8GB), iPhone (8GB)

So, I think things are actually sending/downloading and it's just taking time and the iphone is defaulting to the error message.
I don't think that's the case. I have several week-old messages on my iPhone (each under 300k) that still say "The message has not been downloaded from the server."
I've been connected to wifi for over an hour now, so that's plenty of time to downloaded these few small emails. I can read the "preview" of the message from the Inbox screen, but when I click on the message itself, I get the error.
And, those messages with the attachments that I was able to open this morning? I can no longer open them now. Very, very frustrating.

  • Problem with attachments and antivirus.scanners

    Hi!
Problem is: Sending any attachment from Tiger (10.4.8) mail, all attachments are removed by a virus scanner at receiving end:
This message was modified by F-Secure Anti-Virus E-Mail Scanning.
Tried Windows friendly, text only, repair permissions, sending under other isp etc. no help.
If this same message with same attachment is send from next mac with Panther, it is received ok.
Receiving company is big and wont alter their virus-scanners and the problem clearly lies in Tiger.

  • Why do I have trouble with attachments being stripped when sending email via Earthlink Webmail using Firefox?

I recently built a new computer running Win 8.1. However, I have had trouble sending and receiving attachments with Earthlink Webmail on Firefox. I sometimes cannot see attachments to emails I receive, although the size of the file indicates they are there. When I try to send an email with attachments, the browser contacts Earthlink, and then the message reappears, but the attachments have been stripped. If I hit Send again, the message goes, but without the attachments. If I re-attach the attachments and hit send, they are again stripped. I contacted Earthlink support, and they told me it is a problem with Firefox. I then tried IE and was able to send the attachments without a problem.
I would really appreciate any help as Firefox is my browser of choice.

    1. Not sure how to send an email in a private browsing window... I use Earthlink Web Mail and I cannot find anything on that site about private browsing window.
    2. Have not tried this yet, but will when I get a chance.
    3. Not sure. My old computer ran XP. Never had the problem with it. Right now, it is not connected to the internet, so can't check it.
    4. I neglected to mention... I did try IE and it worked fine.
I do have Norton 360 installed, but it was not a problem on the XP machine.
Thanks for your response. I have been so busy lately that I just now picked up your response. I have not had time t to try anything else.
As far as the file type, I was trying to send pdf files. Have not tried other file types.
Earthlink limits messages (and attachments) to 20 MB. The files were less than 3 MB.

Is there a way to create a PDF from outlook e-mail that does not embed the attachment? better, is there a way to convert the e-mail with attachement (not embeded) as pdf pages?
    - Problem: I have 1400 e-mails with attachments that need to be converted into pdf and the attachments cannot be embeded.
System: PC Windows 7 using Acrobat X Prof. - Thank you!

    Hi ,
There is an option of embedding index for faster search while converting email to a PDF .
However I am not sure that will serve your purpose or not .
I would recommend you to get in touch with Microsoft support as well .
Meanwhile I'll work on it and get back to you in case I get a desired solution .

I'm using OS 10.6.8 and Mail 4.5. When I receive mails with attachments which are visible the save button doesn't work. And some contacts occasionally have problems opening files sent by me using Mail too. This was never a problem on pre-Intel Mac. A real Mac **** up ! Any ideas ?

Can you drag and drop the attachments visible in the email to the Desktop OK or does that fail ?
Re the sending: Are these recipients on Mac's or PC's as the file type could be an issue, if on Mac's then try setting the Mail Preferences Composing setting to Plain Text not Rich Text and see if that improves things.

  • Receiver file adapter with attachments.

    Hi
I would like to pass a file receiver an attachment from a proxy. I have seen bits and pieces with attachments. I have read that its similar to the mail adapter.
    In the module
    localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean
    module configuration:
    Parameter Name: swap.keyName
    Parameter Value: payload-name
Has anyone succeeded and would you explain the details?
    Thanks in advance
    Ian

    Hi,
As far as I know, receiver file adapters do not supprt attachments.
You can use the payloadSwapBean to swap the attachment and the actual proxy payload and then send it to the file adapter.
Don't think it will be possible to send both the attachment and the payload to the receiver  file adapter though.

  • How do I save mail in rich/plain text with attachments?

I installed Mavericks last night and see (as I expected) that the save mail with attachments in rich text or plain text function in Mail is still broken, as it was with Mountain Lion for the whole of its life, even through updates. Anyone know how to fix this if Apple won't?

    Hi,
Currently we send emal notifications as html format by default. but you can change it as plain tex or rich text when you forward or reply the email.
OR you can use this form to "vote" on popular feature requests, or to add a new one of your own:

  • Email with attachments QPAC: setting "From" using process data doesn't work

    Hi,
I trying to set the "From" in the Email with attachments QPAC from a process variable, let's call it "mailagent", which is of type xs:string.
So I use a set value QPAC, which sets the "mailagent" variable to "[email protected]". The workflow then continous with the Email QPAC.
Which stalls and throws the following exception:
javax.mail.MessagingException: 501 Syntax error, parameters in command "MAIL FROM:<{$/process_data/@mailagent$}>" unrecognized or missing
Hrm. I thought, I had already used the Email QPAC this way.
Is there some kind of magic to apply to the Email with attachments QPAC in order for it to accept process data in the "From"?
    Steve

Yes, I'm sure, it worked for us to. But it obviously no longer does.
Yes, "mailagent" definitely is a variable of type string, though it's of type
xs:string. I'm no longer able to create variables, which don't feature the
xs namespace. Which is quite confusing as I've got absolutely no idea, what the
    xs is used for.
We are using LiveCycle Workflow 7.2.1, the Email QPAC is 7.0.2. Is this the latest version?

  • SOAP Receiver adapter with attachments not working

    Hello,
I have a simple synchronous scenario like this; ABAP proxy with attachments to SOAP with attachments.
The SOAP receiver adapter has been configured with the parameters 'Do not Use SOAP envelope' and 'Keep attachments'. We create our own SOAP envelope with custom SOAP headers, so that's the reason for the 'Do not use SOAP envelope' setting.
When we test the scenario with an attachment then we get a timeout from PI. However, when we test the same scenario without any attachment then no errors occur.
The external webservice has also been tested with SOAP UI and it works fine.
Do you have any clues what the problem can be? What are we still missing in the configuration?
We did try with the adapter modules such as PayloadSwapBean and the Message TransformBean, so far without success...
    Many thanks.
    Roberto

    Hi Stefan,
The attachments are not really big, around 150KB.
According to the other party (Oracle Service Bus) no messages with attachments have been received. In fact it seems like those messages never leave the PI server. SOAP requests without attachments are processed successfully.
    Thanks
    Roberto
