number of rows in date file is 847055. there can be more rows in near future for that .dat file.
when i execute above - it takes 12mins... is it ok ??
please give ur comment!

I can load 3 million rows with direct path load in well under 1 minute.
I guess there are several factors involved in performance where SQL*Loader is concerned.
e.g.
1. is the data residing on the server and SQL*Loader being run from the server? If so, it should be fast. If the data however resides on a client machine and SQL*Loader is being run from the client then you will have network delay for all the data being sent over the network. Even worse if the data resides on a networked drive and SQL*Loader is being run from a client as the data has to be fetched over the network, to be sent back over the network to the database server.
2. What is the hardware spec of the server? Obviously the more powerful the server, the faster disks it has etc. the faster the data can be loaded.
3. You're loading data conditionally to split it into different tables. That will add a slight overhead to the processing.
etc.

  • How deep can a package be? any performance issue?

    Hi experts,
Is there any performance issue if I create deep path to a class for the sake of a well organized classes?
    com.mycompany.mydivision.projectA.forms.news.headlines;
    com.mycompany.mydivision.projectA.forms.news.events;
    com.mycompany.mydivision.projectA.dao.calendar.events;
    or
    a.b.c.d.e.f.g.h.i.j.k.l;??????
    any reading materials on this?
    Thanks

I don't know what the limit on deepness is, but there shouldn't be any performance issues. All the classes are loaded when your program starts, so the JVM doesn't need to traverse through all those directories each time you reference one of the classes.

  • Are there any known issues with Adobe Edge Animate and Yosemite? Experiencing performance issues since upgrading OS

Are there any known issues with Adobe Edge Animate and Yosemite? Experiencing performance issues since upgrading OS. Animation I was working on that had been performing in browser fine suddenly stopped working, and was not related to any action I had done at that point. Also was working in it today and program stopped responding to key board short cut commands.

I am having a whole slew of odd interface problems with a fresh 2014.1.1 on a fresh macbook pro with latest Yosemite. Program locks up, cursor selections don't show, things disappear. I have a mac mini also and the program runs fine on it. Is there possibly something related to the solid state hard drive in new macs?

  • Are there any compatibility issues with Sonos and Airport extreme??

are there any compatibility issues with Sonos and Airport extreme??

Sonos uses its own priopietory wireless protocol SonosNet to distribute audio data among all its products, thus it should not affect other network devices which use standard WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n protocol at all though they may share the same radio channel for wirless signaling.
On my dual-band (5 GHz / 2.4 GHz) Airport Extreme staion, I select the option "802.11n Only (5GHz) - 802.11n (2.4GHz)" and turn on "Use wide channels" in Wireless configuration in order to use only 802.11n protocol and more radio channels to achieve maximum wireless bandwidth of 400 Mbps. This bandwidth is necessary for quick Time Machine backup to NAS connected to the Airport Extreme station through Ethernet cable. So my iMac and MacBook Pro always connected to the Airport Extreme through 5 GHz radio channel with 802.11n protocol whereas my iPhone 4S always connected through 2.4 GHz radio channel with the same protocol.
In my living room Sonos ZP-90 (same as new CONNECT model) zone player is connected to Airport Extreme directly through Ethernet cable (recommended by Sonos) and Sonos S5 (same as new PLAY:5 model) zone player in bedroom is connected wirelessly through SonosNet protocol to the ZP-90 zone player in living room.
These devices are in operation simutaneouly most of the time. Music is playing through the Sonos ZP90/S5 zone players througout the day, I am streaming viedo through Internet (fibre broadband 25 Mbps) on my MacBook Pro in bedroom or iMac in living room or reading news on my iPhone. So far so good and have no encounter any interference problem for about three years. Further more bandwidth for 802.11n protocol does not seem to be affected at all.
In fact with a low power Fujitsu USB drive (2.5" / 500 GB, designed for notebook) plug into USB port of Airport Extreme, it can be used as NAS drive for Sonos music distribution system without any problem. Just transfer all files from Music folder in my home directory on iMac into this NAS drive and set it up as music source in "Manage > Music Library Settings" in Sonos Controller for Mac application will do. Though the same drive can be served as Time Machine's backup disk as well, an independent full-fledged NAS drive for Sonos and Time Machine backup is better long-term solution for reliability and performance. With the NAS configured as sole music source, you do not need to keep any computer powered on all the time in order to play music through the Sonos system.

Are there any performance concerns when referencing an image located in a central location (example application server)?

    Hi
Should not be an issue at all - we are only going to be limited by the network bandwidth

  • Are there any known issues when using PSE 13 after installing Apple's recent 10.10.3 Combo update for Yosemite?

I've had Yosemite for some time and bought/installed PSE 13 afterwards.
In the last few days I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3.
As a PSE 13 novice I've been working my way through "Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 - Classroom in a Book". Working through the exercises I've found my iMac is sometimes taking longer to process the functions I'm using than prior ro the 10.10.3 upgrade. E.g., using the Healing Brush tools, Straighten Tool etc.
I've struggled with Apple's upgrade and had to re-install my machine from a previous Time Machine Backup and so I was wondering:-
Are there any known issues with PSE 13 post 10.10.3 upgrade?
Are there things I should be concerned about in the future before accepting an OS X upgrade?
    Thanks,
    Andy

No, no known issues. However it's a good idea to always delete preferences after OS X system updates.

Thanks, Flex harUI, for the direction in regards to isolating build changes. That aside (still working on it), can you offer any direction in regards to my original question on SDK and AIR compatibility? I'm specifically looking for a version compatibility mapping or anything that definitively states, "Flex SDK x.y.z works with the following versions of AIR". This information is crucial for us in order to more specifically plan our own roadmap built upon these two frameworks as we consider both existing installations of our software and future distributions.

Can I host the package or just insert the link?

hello Fernando, there shouldn't be any issue with that, but for details please refer to Mozilla's trademark policy at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/foundation/trademarks/policy/ - especially the part about software distribution & linking.

Are there any known issues running MAC OS X 10.8.5 on my IMAC and MAC OS X 10.6.8 on my MAC Server?

To answer the obvious question. No. None that I've seen. But it may depend on what you mean exactly?
Connecting to file sharing service - None that I've seen
Connecting to Open Directory (assuming proper configuration) - None that I've seen
Using the Server's Mail Service (assuming proper configuration) - None that I've seen
I can say the same about anything else the Server may or may not be offering.

    Axel,
I'm afraid a new SSD won't be different from your bad USB stick. I had similar issues over USB with both a (no-brand) stick and TWO 64gb Kingston SSDNow's (running Kubuntu 12.04 with Kernel 3.11, ia_64): it all runs exceptionally well (wanna know how it feels like booting in 5 sec?) for a few days - then suddenly you find yourself facing that dreaded (initramfs) prompt. You ask yourself: why? Did I upgrade grub lately? Did I upgrade the Kernel? I don't recall so. Ok, let's fix this... insert favorite live cd, boot, fsck...what???? THOUSANDS of errors??? Hundreds of files and directories corrupted, and the system is unusable - Reinstall everything from scratch onto another drive.
Rinse and repeat: did this 3 times. Then I found this analysis:
    http://lkcl.net/reports/ssd_analysis.html
I also suspect USB power interrupts more abruptly than SATA power, at shutdown - basically aggravating any power interruption damages. So now I'm going to:
    - buy an Intel S3500!
    - add commit=1 to my mount options in /etc/fstab
    - edit shutdown procedure to add a 5-10 sec pause after unmounting drives.
    Just my two cents.
