SRM Account Assignment - Change in PO after Invoice

Experts,
I am currently running and SRM 5.0 system using extended classic.
Sometimes, it is necessary to change the account assignment on a PO after a partial invoice has posted so that the new account assignment will be applied to future invoices.  This is allowed in ECC, but the fields are grayed-out and unchangeable in SRM.  Any ideas on how to correct this?
Thanks,
Kris

Hello Kris!
Unfortunately, this is a standard behaviour from SRM. Cost assignment changes are allowed or not if this is customizable in the beckend.
If you like to change account assignment, follow-on documents mus be cancelled firstly.

    Hi,Guru's
    am new this forum,
while creating Invoice am getting this error as " Error in A/c Determination ",and by checking the A/c det.Analysis it'ssaying that
    " 10     125     Accruals condition: The second G/L account is missing "
I entered the G/L account numbers for both ERB & ERU ,eventhough Iam getting this error.
Can any one solve my problem.
    CRG

Ensure that in VKOA the said G/L Accounts are maintained.  This being a rebate process, in VKOA, in the last column also, you should assign a provisional G/L Account which seems to be missing.

  • SRM PO error-Account assignment cannot be changed after goods/invoice receipt

    Hi,
The SRM PO throws account assignment error in system (SRM7.2).
Scenario: Shopping cart is created and SRM PO is sent to backend system and GR is also posted. The purchaser is now trying to change any data like, value, currency etc and the system throws account assignment error.
The issue is system throws account assignment error for any change in other parameters but actually nothing is changed in account assignement part. This error is the backend error but not sure what can be done to stop this error.
Need guidance from experts whomever came across this type of issue.
    Thank you
    swathi

    Hi,
We started experiencing the ME 458 error last year when SAP introduced some new edits in BAPI_PO_CHANGE.
It's triggered when the SRM account assignment (CO and FM) fields do not match the ERP PO account fields.
SRM function B470_ACCSERV_CHECKACCASSIGNMT calls ERP function BBP4X_CODINGBLOCK_CHECK_47A.
In our case this only happened for material POs, services do not have this problem.
There are numerous OSS notes out there for this problem, some are for MM and others for SRM.
    Hope this helps.

  • Account assignment not updated in SRM's shopping cart when changes are made in ERP's PO - Classic Scenario

    Hello!
A customer has classic scenario and creates shopping carts using only cost center as account assignments in SRM.
When the PO is created in ERP's backend, sometimes a purchaser changes the account assignment to Asset("A").
The account assignment changed in ERP is not reflecting in the shopping cart and the result is that the requester can not make a goods receipt in SRM because the account assignment does not match the PO.
Does anybody knows what shall be done so the account assignment in SRM is updated according to ERP?
    Shall I use BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Karin

    Hi Karin,
As Mithun rightly said, the changes made to the PO will not be reflected in the SC not just in Classic but in Extended Classic Scenario as well.
We create a Confirmation against a PO and not against SC, so it is not necessary that the SC needs to be updated.
Is the system allowing the creation of the Confirmation or is the error coming up when the confirmation is being posted on the backend system?
Can you check the SLG1 in SRM for the error that it is triggering when the PO is changed?
    Regards

  • Multiple account assignment in invoicing plan

We are using Invoicing plan and activated multiple account assignment in the "account assignment category config". in ECC 6.0
Following are the scenarios and issues.
    1. An invoice is posted through MRIS (Invoicing Plan Settlement) with one account assignment only.--- the systems posts the invoices correctly.
    2. Change account assignment to multiple lines .e.g. two GL accounts with 60% and 40% -- Upon running MRIS, The system posts invoices 80% and 20%.
    3. Continue next period with MRIS, and the system posts correctly i.e 60% and 40% as per PO .
    4. If the account assignment is not changed there after, the system posts correctly.
We  found in the debug mode the system calculates the split by way of taking into account the values in the PO history, and the previous items in the invoicing plan.
Is there any way we can achive the desired split account after the first invoice is posted with single account assignmetn?
p.s. If we split the account assignment prior to the first invoice is posted, there is no issue.

    B.K.
I need the user exit in the SES no in the PO.
    Thanks,

  • Invoice transport costs with multiple account assignment

    Hello Gurus,
    My problem is the following:
    1) I create two sales orders with the same forwarding agent "A"
    2) I create the two deliveries with the forwarding agent "A"
    3) I create a transport for those two deliveries and the same forwarding agent A
    4) I create the shipment cost for that transport.
So now we have the situation:
    2 orders --> 2 deliveries --> 1 transport --> 1 shipment cost
when i go to transaction MIRO and I enter the delivery note number I get one line item with the total transport cost.
If I click on the option "Multiple account assignment" I get a breakdown of all the amounts but I can not see which costs refers to which delivery.
My question is: Is there any way I can link the amount to the delivery number or at least to identify which cost is linked to which delivery number?
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Miguel

gr non valuated is done in case ur procuring the material for direct consumption so at the time of gr no posting to accounts occur but at the time of invoice recipet the system debits the g/l account and crdits the vendor account
this multiple account ***. is also necessary to mark with gr non valuated and gr check box so that u can change the account assignment at the time of invoice and that acc. assg. should also be changebale in backend .

  • Partial invoice indicator for multiple account assignment case

In ECC, the partial invoice indicator field (TWRKZ) has to be set when there are multiple account assignments for an item. But this field is not available in SRM account assignment section. So in SRM, when a PO is created with multiple account assignments for an item and transferred to ECC, error ("06"/"437") would be displayed -
Distr. ind. and partial invoice ind. must be set for multi acct. assgt
Has anyone of you encountered such issue? Of course we can add this field in SRM PO Accounting as a custom field and map it later when transferring the PO to ECC, but it seems to be an obvious gap between SRM PO and ECC PO, wouldn't you think?
    Thanks.

    Hi! Thanks in advance!
Did you find the solution for this issue!!

  • Account assignment category cannot be changed for limit items

    HI all,
I am getting same error in RZ20
Instance POXXXXX of object type PurchaseOrder cou ld not be changed
Purchase order still contains faulty items
Account assignment category cannot be changed for limit items
PO is created with service item and it is in backend.
When it is changed it is giving error. User is added contract no# on change version.
Could you please share the solution...

sometimes sap throws unwanted error messages. these are example notes
415346  ME21n, ME456 when filling the account assignment type
411883  ME21N, ME456 when filling the account assignment category
403537  PO from PReq with different account assignment type: E456
Using Transaction ME21N,you create a purchase order for external service and add a new item by copying a request for quotation. If the request for quotation does not have a plant, when you enter the assignment category, the system displays error message ME456 "Account assignment category cannot be changed for limit items". Also there is no account assignment change involved.

  • Invoice verification for blanket PO with account assignment category U (un

    Hi all
While doing miro when i am doing invoice verification for blanket PO with account assignment category U (unknown) system is not allowing me to enter the GL it is disable, wat can be the possible reason
    Regards
    shailesh

    Hi Shailesh,
As you have maintained the account assignment category as U the account assignment tab will not be available. If you want to enter a GL account then use the Account assignments K or F or X.
Else if you want to use U in PO then you can give the GL account and other account assignment details only in the Invoice verification.

  • Automatic change of G/L account with change of material group in PO

    Experts,
we're facing an issue with the change of the G/L account in a PO after the material group has been changed. We're creating purchase requisitions from SRM (account assignment type K) with material group and G/L account. Starting to create the PO with ME21N from PR we want to change the material group. After the change we still have the original G/L account.
Valuation class and account assignment is defined correctly and if we create a manual PO the correct values are used. What do we need to change so that the G/L account is directly changed with the change of the material group?
    Thanks
    Hubert

    Hi Hubert,
I am assuming that you are not using the material master  and trying to default the G/L account using the material group.
Can you check whether the valuation class assign in this config for the respective material group are same.
Purchasing> Material Master > Entry Aids of items without a material Master.
System should default the G/L account if you maintain different valuation class in material group with the respective G/L define in OBYC.
Secondly, Please check the Account assign categories configuration for the account  modification.
Purchasing > Account assignment > Maintain Account assignment Categories.
    Cheers!

  • How to grey out the Account Assignment Group Fld  in Billing Doc Line Item

    Hi SD Guru's
    I have a small doubt.
I have maintained account assignment group in material master. Now when i create an order , the account assignment group gets picked from material master into this sales order.
Now i go to VF01 for doing the invoicing.
Now i can still go to billing document line item against the material and change its account assignment group before raising the invoice. When i change this field, i can still post to accounts.
I want to know is there any way in which we can restrict the way in which this field is greyed out and is made non-editable, so that only correct entries with account assignment group maintained in material master are posted.
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Ravi

    Hi,
Sandeep can you please give me step by step process of using SHD0 in this case.
Now if i apply this to transaction VF01 and VF02, would it apply for all billing document types? I dont want that, i want it to work for a specific billing type
    Kind Regards
    Ravi
