SSRS Cross Tab Report Expression for Count IF

This first column expression # of Project uses expression =COUNT(Fields!orbus_desginid.Value, "orbus_designersidname") (counts by row group). For the third column, i need to do the same thing but add an if statement. Count by Design Name If
Project Stage="Y". How can I do this?

Hi Nicole_CRM,
Based on my understanding, you want to sum the [field_est.rev] when the value of [Project Stage] equal to "Y", right?
If that is a case, you can specify the expression like below:
=Sum(IIF(Fields!Project Stage.Value="Y",Fields!field_est.rev.Value,nothing))
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
Best regards,

  • How to count number of columns in cross-tab report

    I have created a cross-tab report and have managed to get the data out as below:
                 Jan     Feb     Mar....(display of months will auto expand) Avg/Mo  Total
    UserA     4          3        4                                                                         11
    UserB     6          1        1                                                                          8
    UserC     5          5        5                                                                         15
    Total       15        9        10                                                                        33
    I want to insert a calculated column (Avg/Mo) into the cross-tab report based on the formula: Total/Number of Months. I used this calculation formula  for Avg.Mo column:
    (GridValueAt(CurrentRowIndex, CurrentColumnIndex+1, CurrentSummaryIndex)/GetNumColumns)
    However, I get the wrong average since GetNumColumns count the total number of columns including the column of Avg/Mo and Total.
    How do i get the number of columns, excluding the Avg/Mo calculated column and Total column?
    PS: I can't use hardcode since the number of months/columns will auto expand the months progress...

    ok managed to solve this by slightly changing the formula:
    GridValueAt(CurrentRowIndex, CurrentColumnIndex+1, CurrentSummaryIndex)/(GetNumColumns-2)

  • Cross tab reports in application express

    Hi,
    Can a cross tab report be generated with the help of Oracle Application Express?
    Lavina

    Lavina - you can cheat and create a very simple report like this:
    Use a PL/SQL dynamic region. Within your PL/SQL, query the database to get the data in rows rather than columns (which is normally much easier and allows the number of items to be dynamic) and set a cursor on the result.
    Start an HTML TABLE block, loop through the cursor once for each column of the resultset and output each row as a table column (i.e. 'sideways', with td tags rather than tr tags, or th tags for the first). You can also put in CSS formatting etc., then close off the table at the end. The idea here is that you build up an HTML table with your data in the cells, and pass it back to the browser using an htp.p() call.
    It's a bit crude, and you don't get any of the APEX stuff that goes with the report, but it's OK for very simple reports. We use this technique for creating reports that show the data that was used to generate charts.

  • Cross tab report's -one column display total counts of previous financial year, one column current financial year

    Hi
    I'm using CR XI. I'm attempting to create  a cross-tab report where:
               Added       Total
    AF         12            23
    F            15           30
    CO         18           50
    Where AF etc is the categoty of items, Added is the total count of previous finanical year(e.g. 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2007), Total is the total account of current finanical year.
    The count is based on created_date field(e.g. ITD.DTE -- ITD is the table, DTE is the field).
    Although I can at the moment only display the value correctly in "Added"  column, if I tried to display the Total column, the two columns always have the same value.
    How could I achieve the above desired results by using fomula? I would appreciate it very much if anyone could help me with this?
    Thanks in advance
    JS

    Create 2 formulas, 1 for the previous year and 1 for current, similar to the following;
    1) if date({Orders.Order Date}) in date(2003,07,01) to date(2004,06,30) then 1 else 0
    2) if date({Orders.Order Date}) in date(2004,07,01) to date(2005,06,30) then 1 else 0
    Add both of these formulas as the summarized fields in the crosstab

  • Unable to get cells for the columns which have no data in cross-tab report

    Hi friends,
    I am developing a cross-tab report.
    Let's take an example to explain the problem.
    Here is the XML file i am using
      <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    - <!--  Generated by Oracle Reports version 6.0.8.11.3
      -->
    - <MODULE1>
    - <LIST_G_SCHEMECODE>
    - <G_SCHEMECODE>
      <SCHEMECODE>171091</SCHEMECODE>
      <AMOUNT>0</AMOUNT>
      <ASSET_TYPE>Govt Guarantee</ASSET_TYPE>
      <MARGIN>0</MARGIN>
      <AMOUNT_SECURED>0</AMOUNT_SECURED>
      <VALUE_OF_SECURITY>0</VALUE_OF_SECURITY>
      </G_SCHEMECODE>
    - <G_SCHEMECODE>
      <SCHEMECODE>171091</SCHEMECODE>
      <AMOUNT>0</AMOUNT>
      <ASSET_TYPE>Loans To Govt</ASSET_TYPE>
      <MARGIN>0</MARGIN>
      <AMOUNT_SECURED>0</AMOUNT_SECURED>
      <VALUE_OF_SECURITY>0</VALUE_OF_SECURITY>
      </G_SCHEMECODE>
    - <G_SCHEMECODE>
      <SCHEMECODE>171093</SCHEMECODE>
      <AMOUNT>0</AMOUNT>
      <ASSET_TYPE>Govt Guarantee</ASSET_TYPE>
      <MARGIN>120</MARGIN>
      <AMOUNT_SECURED>0</AMOUNT_SECURED>
      <VALUE_OF_SECURITY>0</VALUE_OF_SECURITY>
      </G_SCHEMECODE>
    - <G_SCHEMECODE>
      <SCHEMECODE>171093</SCHEMECODE>
      <AMOUNT>0</AMOUNT>
      <ASSET_TYPE>Loans To Govt</ASSET_TYPE>
      <MARGIN>0</MARGIN>
      <AMOUNT_SECURED>0</AMOUNT_SECURED>
      <VALUE_OF_SECURITY>0</VALUE_OF_SECURITY>
      </G_SCHEMECODE>
    - <G_SCHEMECODE>
      <SCHEMECODE>*171095*</SCHEMECODE>
      <AMOUNT>0</AMOUNT>
      <ASSET_TYPE>Govt Guarantee</ASSET_TYPE>
      <MARGIN>100</MARGIN>
      <AMOUNT_SECURED>0</AMOUNT_SECURED>
      <VALUE_OF_SECURITY>0</VALUE_OF_SECURITY>
      </G_SCHEMECODE>
      </LIST_G_SCHEMECODE>
      </MODULE1>Now I want SCHEMECODE in rows and ASSET_TYPE in columns.
    And the each ASSET_TYPE column is to be divided into 2 sub-columns (MARGIN,AMOUNT_SECURED).
    I am able to achevie this.
    The problem is that ,for the schemecode 171095, since there is no data for ASSET_TYPE "Loans To Govt",no cells are generated for this SCHEMECODE and ASSET TYPE.
    But the requirement is to generate blank cells.
    If needed i will send the template at xml files also.

    try this, there must be simpler one i guess...
    1. take a form field, and make its type as number. Paste the below one <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',2)?>
    2. now take a table with as below,
    A l B |
    C l D1 l D2 l E1 l E2 l
    observe that i. A, C are in one column
    ii. cell B is on top of D1, D2
    iii. we have no cell on top of E1 and E2 cells
    iv. 'l' represents the wall of the cell :)
    A: <?horizontal-break-table:1?> SCHEMECODE
    B: <?for-each-group@column:G_SCHEMECODE;ASSET_TYPE?> <?ASSET_TYPE?> <?end for-each?>
    C: <?for-each-group:G_SCHEMECODE;SCHEMECODE?> <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',2)?> <?SCHEMECODE?>
    D1: <?for-each-group@cell:current-group();ASSET_TYPE?> <?MARGIN?> <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1')-1)?>
    D2: <?AMOUNT_SECURED?> <?end for-each?> <?end for-each?>
    E1: <?for-each@column:xdoxslt:foreach_number($_XDOCTX,1,xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1'),1)?>
    E2: <?END FOR-EACH?>
    3. If you are confused gimme your email id, i will pass the template. But you should add credits to me.. :)

    try this, there must be simpler one i guess...
    1. take a form field, and make its type as number. Paste the below one <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',2)?>
    2. now take a table with as below,
    A l B |
    C l D1 l D2 l E1 l E2 l
    observe that i. A, C are in one column
    ii. cell B is on top of D1, D2
    iii. we have no cell on top of E1 and E2 cells
    iv. 'l' represents the wall of the cell :)
    A: <?horizontal-break-table:1?> SCHEMECODE
    B: <?for-each-group@column:G_SCHEMECODE;ASSET_TYPE?> <?ASSET_TYPE?> <?end for-each?>
    C: <?for-each-group:G_SCHEMECODE;SCHEMECODE?> <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',2)?> <?SCHEMECODE?>
    D1: <?for-each-group@cell:current-group();ASSET_TYPE?> <?MARGIN?> <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1')-1)?>
    D2: <?AMOUNT_SECURED?> <?end for-each?> <?end for-each?>
    E1: <?for-each@column:xdoxslt:foreach_number($_XDOCTX,1,xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1'),1)?>
    E2: <?END FOR-EACH?>

  • Cross tab report-dyanamic columns for months and quarterly sum

    Hi all,
    I work on report creation in BI Publisher.I need to display values in a cross tab report in a way that it shows data for 3 months and then a column for its quarterly sum.
    For ex:-
    Market --Jan       Feb    Mar    Q1_sum Apr May Jun Q2_sum ---------------like wise for n months
    Market1 100 --80 --30 -- 210 --10 -- 80 --90 --210
    Market2 120 --90 --40 --250 --100 --70 --30 --200
    Market3 130 --70 --60 --260 --140 -- 0 --40 --180 ('--' just to maintain indentation)
    The values of number of months( date range) and the names of market are derived dyanamically .
    The code from my sql query presently shows months-range (Jan ,feb,mar..), Quarterly sum to be displayed, Market names etc as child elements in multiple occurences main Query set.
    <Main Query>
    <Market>abc</Market>
    <Region>abc</Region>
    <Months-Range>abc</Months-Range>
    <Quarterly_sum>abc</Quarterly_sum>
    <Main Query>
    <Main Query>
    </Main Query>
    Please guide me on code in rtf template for the same.
    Thanks

    Do u have time dim in your metadata??
    If not,

    After that in fact table by using the (ago/todate) function ....pull the respective columns to pivot table columns section(date column) and measures col in measures section and enable the grand total in columns section so that it will show grand total for every quarter

  • Help with formatting for Cross Tab Report Crystal 2008

    This is probably a simple question.  I have a cross tab report that displays sales by month for a period of 6 months.  These sales columns are formatted to be numbers with no decimals.  In addition to these columns, I have inserted columns that display the percentage up/down in sales over the previous month.  If I try to format the percentage columns, it changes every column to then display "##,##.##%" when I need to keep the sales columns at "##,###" with no decimal or percentage sign.
    1.  Is there a way to change the formatting of some of the columns but not all in a cross tab report?
    2.  If not, can I add a function that would change these in the calculation formula of the calculated member?
    I tried to add "%" but it wants it to return a number.
    Here is the current code:
    //The calculation formula is used in place of the summaries in Calculated Members.
    // This calculation formula must return a/an Number value.
    If GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex-3,CurrentSummaryIndex) = 0 then 0 else
    ((GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex-1,CurrentSummaryIndex) -
    GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex-3,CurrentSummaryIndex)) /
    GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex-3,CurrentSummaryIndex)) * 100
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Tobi

    Carl,
    Thank you for your help.  I did try your method but still couldn't get it to ignore the fact that it wanted a number.  I changed my approach a litte and managed to solve the problem.  Here is the method that I chose which managed to solve the problem.  If this is a poor way to solve it, please let me know as I am always open for new ways.
    Format Field > Number Tab > Customize > Currency  Symbol Tab
    Checked Enable Currency Symbol Fixed, changed  currency symbol to %.  This is the same thing that I did before which changes it for all columns.
    Beside Enable Currency checkbox, I added this formula:
    // This conditional formatting formula must return one of the following Currency Symbol Constants:
    // crNoCurrencySymbol
    // crFixedCurrencySymbol
    // crFloatingCurrencySymbol
    If GridRowColumnValue("InvoiceLine.TxnDate") = Date(0,0,0) then
        crFixedCurrencySymbol
    else
        crNoCurrencySymbol
    My added columns have a null date field so they take the currency format.  My other columns do not so they do not take the formatting.
    Thanks again for the help.

  • Row Headers in Cross Tab Report -Crystal Report XI

    I am trying to create a cross tab report. The report has 4 rows and the columns get generated based on the value of a database field.
    I have 2 questions
    Question 1 : I want the rows to have headers. I insert text objects in the report and when I run the report in crystal, the headers are displaying as required. But when I export to excel, the headers are displayed after the data. How can I create row headers and get them exported to excel as row headers.
    Question 2: I am creating the column based on a database field. The field is of text data type. The sorting for this filed is 1. abc ,10. abc , 11.abc , 2.abc , 3.abc ; etc where abc is a text string. How can I sort the columns so that the columns appear as 1.abc, 2.abc, 3.abc etc.
    I tried using the specified order sorting, but when I check the list of values that it creates to select the values, it is truncating the values. I can only see part of the values from the database.
    Please Help!!!

    I don't have Crystal in front of me so I will try to do this from memory.  If you right click on a report object, there is option on one of the tabs (I think it is General) that says Display String with a corresponding X button.  If you click on that, then you can enter a text expression that overrides the actual value of the report object.
    In your case, if you want to add a static header text to the row data, you could try something like the following:
    if Gender = "M"
         then "Mr. " + CurrentFieldValue
         else "Ms. " + CurrentFieldValue
    where Gender is a field object in the report and CurrentFieldValue is the data object specified for rows in the cross-tab.
    If you wanted to put header on the previous line, you could try something like this:
    "Account ID" + chr(13) + CurrentFieldValue
    where CurrentFieldValue is the account ID string.
    Fuskie
    Who expects this looks nothing like your actual report but hopefully it works as an example...

  • Discover group problem with cross tab report

    Hi, I'm working on a cross tab report in discoverer 4i and I'm having a problem with two of the colums. I'm doing a count on one field but because they are called something different they are being shown as two seperate columns rather than 1.
    I have one called 101 -AVG and another called 101-AVG. My condition pulls every result back that starts with 101 in the table. So because in the table the values are different it breaks the count into totals for 101 -AVG and 101-AVG.
    Is there some way I can group these results together into one field?
    thanks,
    Ian

    Pitson,
    better to ask this question in the BI Publisher Forum than here in the Oracle Reports Forum:

  • Cross Tab Report Summaries

    I have a cross tab report with a row for loan type and another row for Investor Name.  The columns are for loan disbursements by month.  The summaries are for the loan count for loan type, loan count as a % of loan type, sum of loan amount for loan type and sum of loan amount as a % of loan type.  The monthly numbers and % are correct, as well as the final column for the totals.
    The total number of loans and total sum of the loan amounts in the total row at the end of each loan type are also correct, but I want the % of loan count and % of loan amount in this row to be based on the total count of all loans on the report, not just the % of the loans in that particular loan type.
    Can someone tell me how to modify the % count summary and % sum summary just on the total row printing for the loan type?

    Hi Diann,
    Try to use the display string by right clicking on total field>format Field>Common tab-->Display string
    and write the formula like
    currentfieldvalue/count(field)

  • Cross Tab Report totals

    I built a cross tab report using the wizard from BI pub plug-in. It is selecting counts of employees by building that are Male, Female and Total (see below). My XML data has all 3 counts in it (Male, Female,Total) so I just selected them for the BI report. The only issue I have is the grand totals that show on the far right. I need it to only total the "male" and "female" totals (instead of all 3). This is making the numbers doubled in the total.
    It is using this in the cell and I am wondering if there is a way to only let it total specific columns
    <?./T1?>
    Building1____________________Building2___________________Total
    Female___Male___Totals_______Female_____Male_____Total___
    1_______5______6___________4_________2_______6_______24
    Thanks.

    Look at the Total Wizard. You should be able select the right options to have totals at different level of the data. Also give us an example what you want to achieve.
