Standard Report Customization
Hi All,
I am wanted to Customization for existed oracle standard Report(VAT Sales Report).I just want to add 4 more fields.
So that i have increase the "Main section width and hight" While i am trying to expand the Main frame i am getting the error follow
"REP-1212: Object 'Body' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object ''."
Please can any one help me?
Or please tell me the prerequisite setups for the rdf to customize it.

REP-1212: Object '<object name1>' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object '<object name2>'.
Cause:
The possible causes of this error include the following:
Case 1: An object is not fully enclosed by the page. That is, the object extends beyond the page boundary.
Case 2: A repeating frame that forms a matrix is one or more layers above a repeating frame that it contains. In a matrix layout, repeating frames must be below repeating frames that they contain.
Action: You can take the following actions to correct this error:
If Case 1: Move or resize the object so that it does not extend outside the page boundary. Alternatively, increase the page size in the Report Property Inspector.
If Case 2: Using Arrange--\>Send to Back, Arrange--\>Bring to Front, Arrange--\>Move Backward, and Arrange--\>Move Forward, arrange your repeating frames such that, in terms of layers, the following is true: repeating frames are below repeating frames that they contain and down repeating frames are below across repeating frames.

Is there an Oracle-recommended tool to customize eBS standard reports?
Hi,
a few days ago a collegue of mine dropped in and asked for a tool to customize eBusinessSuite (R12) standard reports. He came along with XXBA_PO_STANDARD_XSLFO.xsl (which is a mix of XSL and FO) and asked me if I could modify the position of some tables and if I knew a WYSIWYG editor that he could do the same without learning XSL and all the stuff.
First thing was not too complicated but the second: I spent some hours to find a tool on the internet, but I didnot find a way to do that on an existing report using the big ones (XMLSpy, Stylus Studio), and I neither found another tool to archive this.
Any hints or recommendations are appreciated.

Customize standard report using BI Publisher.
Hi,
There is one standard concurrent program 'Send Separate Remittance Advices’ whose executable type is 'Java Concurrent program'.
I want to customize the standard report and implement in BI Publisher tool that allows specific output formats to be designed.
How to do this using BI publisher tool?
If some new query or fields required for custom report then how to add the query or fields as the standard program executable type is 'Java Concurrent program'.
Please help me out in this.

I am working on Send Separate Remittance Advice program in R12.
As per our requirement we need to add some new field in Send Separate Remittance Advice program.
So I have extended the XML in 'iby_fd_extract_ext_pub' package.
The extended XML is working fine if I'll run the Send Separate Remittance Advice program automatically through payment process request.
If Send Separate Remittance Advice program run manually by selecting Payment Instruction Id and Remittance Advice format then whatever extension I have done to add new field is not appearing in XML.
Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Need help with customizing standard reports in Fusion Applications

I have requirement to customize 'Asset Transfer Report' in Oracle Fusion.
This report is a BI Publisher report and Data Model lies in folder '/Share Folders/Financials/Fixed Assets/Tracking/Data Model' and report lies in folder '/Share Folders/Financials/Fixed Assets/Tracking'.
Steps which i have completed
I am trying to customize this report, i followed the below steps
Step 1:-
Copied Data Model into '/Shared Folder/Custom/Financials/Fixed Assets/Tracking/Data Model' and report into '/Shared Folder/Custom/Financials/Fixed Assets/Tracking/'
Step 2:-

Now when i navigate to schedule process, when i click Schedule New Process Button in the list of values i can see the job which i created. When i submit the job is completing with error.
When i open the xml file, file is blank and no data is available in the file.

This is the first time i am working with the BI Publisher reports and fusion applications.
My requirement is to add few columns to the standard report with out loosing the functionality.
I was not aware that there is two ways of doing this, i was always copying data model and report to a new folder and trying to create a new job for the report.
As mentioned in the document 7.2.1.4 Using the Customize Feature , i clicked on the more button on my report but i do not see the customize option. Do i need to have any specific role for this to appear in the menu? Please kindly let me know.
Also i see below limitations while customizing report
Limitations
Following are limitations of the Customize report option:
The Customize option is only available through direct access to the BI Publisher server using the /xmlpserver URL (for example:http://hostname.com:7001/xmlpserver). The Customize option is not available through the /analytics URL used to access Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition.
The Customize option is available only for reports. The Customize option is not available for data models, style templates, or sub templates.To customize data models, style templates or sub templates and insulate them from potential changes from patching: Make a copy of the data model, style template, or sub-template and either rename it or place it in a custom folder. Ensure that you update any reports to point to the customized data model, style template, or sub template.
My requirement is to add few additional columns which needs Data Model to be modified, Can i copy the data model to the custom folder and do my modifications and point this data model in the report(as mentioned in the point 2 in the limitations)? In that case, will the original report submission works?

Which extra field do you want to add or see? Without specifying the field, it is difficult for one to tell you precisely whether you need a custom field or just change the layout to get the standard one.
There are so many fields which exists but are not displayed when you execute 2KEE. You need to change the layout selections to your preference.
Nonetheless, if the field you want to add does not already exist, then yes you can do customization. Is there a customization requirement? No. But remember, you are making changes to SAP Standard program which will no longer be supported by SAP should in the case an issue arise in the future related to this very program.
Have your abaper add the said field in the program or why not just create a query to pull the report?

thats a tough one, the PO generation is a bit restrictive to say the least when it comes to customizing. It sounds like you have worked out how to get your own template in there to render the PO.
On the data front, all I can think of is to customize and replace the seeded PO view with one that incorporates your extra data.
Or, get into the page customization world and write your own extract and format concurrent program/procedure and then hook it onto the buttons where you want to launch it.
You might have more luch, response wise from the EBS PO forum.

Foreground job - Standard report - Time out error
Hi,
I have a standard SAP report which is executed from portal and the report is failing in the foreground with a time out error. As there is time set for foreground process and probably the volume of the report is big which is not good enough to execute in the foreground time frame.
The customer wants to run it only in the foreground and does not want to schedule in the background and the reason being he wants to do some customization on the columns when the report is displayed back on the portal screen.
Now my question is there any other option to get the requirement and increasing the foreground time is ruled out by Basis team.
I was thinking if I can use a wrapper report on the standard report and include SAPGUI_PROGRESS_INDICATOR to keep the connection between the dialog and the presentation server going without dis-connecting. Is this a better option and I am not sure if it will work ?
Please let me know if any one else has resolved such issues earlier.

Though it is not advisable to change max run time... if need you you consult with your basis and you can change run time dynamically in your program and reset to original. I agree even CL_gui_timer class wont help.

SAP standard report to show Inter Company transactions
Basically, we have two companies that are buying and selling between each other. One of the companies is a subsidery of the other. So, the parent(x) can sell or buy from it's sub(Y) and visa versa. At the end of the period, we need to consolidate both companies for reporting purposes, therefore there will be elimination entries which should be identified.
I need an SAP standard report to show these transactions which might still be sitting on each other books unsoldDear :
We are using ECC 6 SAP version and we have the t code FBU3 for displaying all inter company transactions. Have you done necessary configuration in OBYF. You can display all related inter company transactions through FBU3.
Your 2nd query corresponds to same credit control area that was assigned to two company codes. In order extend credit limit for a customer who is extended on two company codes which have same credit area. It is not possible you distinguish credit limit for a customer who is extended on two company codes having same credit control areas. CCA is defined at organization structure level and for the distinction you will have to define new credit control area in customization at
enterprise level i-e
Enterprise Structure.... Definition.... Financial accounting....define credit control area
Assignment.....Assign credit control area to co code
Do necessary customization for SD module
and then in credit management for AR you will have to assign the credit control area to company codes i-e
Account Recv/A/c Payable.....Credit Management.... Assign permitted CCA to Co code
. This is the only way to to segregate customer credit limit for two company codes. Please revert in case of any confusion.

Pls Help.I would guess that you have increased the report width beyond the number of characters specified by the print style in the application. If the report started as 'landscape', then try using 'landwide'.

Standard Report for Project System
Hello,
Is there a standrard report that i can find that will report by cost center the direct and indirect hours worked by an employee for a period Monthly and Year to Date.
I am also working on a stadnrad report KSB1 and i want to add a new field to the layout that is not existint in there. What report is KSB1 is it a report writer report that i can modify or will it be an ABABP customization.

I think you are looking for transaction CATC.
You only can add those fields to the layout that are offered. KSB1 is a standard report that you rather not modify. Best you take a copy and change the copy to a Z. ABAP would be required.

I don't think SAP has standard reports for all the books you have mentioned. SAP has some line item reports like FBL1N - Vendors, FBL3N - General Ledger Accounts, FBL5N - Customers and depending on your needs you will have to customize these reports. Like for example, if you want to see receipts journal you will use FBL3N and include only those GL Accounts which are responsible for receipts and similarly for disbursements.
But, there is a functionality called cash journal which if you implement will get some of your reporting needs. I have never worked on cash journal, but know it is out there.
As far as sales journal is considered, see if you can use transactions SDO1, VA05.
Also check transaction SAP1 which gives SAP Standard reports. Maybe there is some report that helps you.

Filter standard reports based on user login
Hi All,
Is there any way to filter standard form reports (not PLD), based on the user currently logged in. for example, if user 'sales1' has logged in, he should be able to see the sales report(say sales analysis) for the documents made by him only. there does not seem to have any access on the query being passed to this report. so even customization does not seem to be the solution. kindly help if any one knows a better way or a way at all.

Before posting, I had already searched in SAP B1 forum and there , for a similar problem, it was advised to use SDK so I posted here.
I knew, SDK seems to be the way. but, again, As I wrote, I wanted to know, whether there exists a way to filter the standard reports based on the user login. I don't want authorization or setting rights, sort of things.
but, suppose If user A wants to see the sales documents reports then, he should be able to see the reports of the documents made by him only. so we will have to filter the records based on the Usersign field in marketing documents' tables but, I am clueless on, where should I give this filter. and I am afraid there is no way to do that. make your own reports and block the access of system reports.Pls right back if U have more to say.

Increase Font Size in Standard Report
I need to Increase the font size on a standard report,
i changed in the layout editor and nothing is happening when i run the report on the applications. What ever size i change i get printed with only one size and type.
how can this be acheived ? plz advice..

Please check thw SRW. option, through this you can also change the font size, is your report is running in Character mode, if it is running in PDF format then with SRW. facilities you can change the text size.

Customizing root folder for our custom and standard reports
Hi Experts,
We are planning to have customizing root folder for our custom and standard reports,
I have couple of questions to do this customization.
1) How do we setup root folder as default instead XA or SSA for all the users?
2) What are the implications on Spend adviser reports, we will not customize spend adviser, planning to use standard SPD?
3) Do we have any developments required or setup at visual Admin level?
Someone can guide me what would be the pros and cons along with above concerns? Your reply will be highly appreciated.
