Hi,
I thought I would hijack the thread since the OP seems to have gone missing, and I'm having the same issue, and have taken the same steps to correct it - to no avail.
Itunes does NOT appear to be crashing at the same song/album. Rather, when I connect my ipod Video, it crashes before it can even begin syncing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Error Message: EventType : BEX   P1 : iTunes.exe --- iTunes Crashes!!

    Hi,
    Please help with this seemingly unfixable issue:
    When I go to synch my iPod (30 GB/Video), iTunes crashes and shutsdown and I get an error message with this this string:
    EventType : BEX P1 : iTunes.exe P2 : 9.2.0.61 P3 : 4c18061b
    P4 : iTunes.dll P5 : 9.2.0.61 P6 : 4c1805f8 P7 : 0004be7e
    P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000
    My attempts to fix have been, and none of these worked:
    1. Run FULL Virus Scan
    2. Run FULL Adaware Scan
    3. Run FULL Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Scan
    4. Apple Tech Suppor Recommended I uninstall (in this order) iTunes, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Service, Bonjour, Application to Apple Support. After this I went in to my Registery and deleted any iTunes/iPod/Apple files. I did the same in Windows Explorer (Application Data and Program Files). I also did a Registery scan (Uniblue Reg. Cleaner Software).
    5. Shutting down all programs running.
    6. "Restoring" my iPod
    When I start to synch my iPod after about 100 songs an (Windows) iTunes Error message pops up and crashes.
    Please help if you can and if you actually know how to fix this!

  • Error message: Windows\prefetch\Firefox.exe-06188867.pf is corrupted and unusable. What do I do ?

    The error message suggests that I run 'chkdsk' utility, but something prevents this from runnning. I tried re-installing Firefox, but did not uninstall first. Is this the best approach ? AND .. Most important .. If uninstall, and re-install, Will I lose my bookmarks ?

    Hello rickcanham, it is not important because it is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prefetcher prefetch file], go from START > Run > type '''prefetch''' and delete the file (and if you want any file in the prefetch folder, actually do it from time to time it is where windows prefetches data when the system starts), then try to restart firefox.
    If you select to unistall firefox do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.

    Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

  • WinProducer2 start error, won't run with nVidia Capture drivers

    I'm not having a good experience with the bundled WinProducer2 that came with my MX440VT8x-128.
    If I have either of the versions of the nVidia capture-drivers that came on the card's CD (that's v. 1.16 or 1.18)  installed, or the 1.22 version from nVidia's website (as of 2-20-03),  and then try to start WinProducer, I get the same start-error every time:
    "WinProducer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows....need to restart program...an error log is being generated."
    If I look at the Dr. Watson log, it says WinProducer 2 generated  "Exception Violation c00005."
    If I uninstall the nVidia capture-drivers, WinProducer2 opens right up just fine, but, of course, with no capture capability.
    I downloaded and tried (after uninstalling v.2) WinProducer3 from InterVideo's website yesterday (2/20/03), with the exact same results!   ???
    Anybody else having this problem?
    This is under Win2k, w/SP2,  then added SP3, with no improvement.

    After I made the original post, I tried a lot more things that didn't help:
    I booted in safe mode and tried it but PSP gave an error message that it wouldn't run with the screen resolution that low (800x600); so it did try to run. So I booted normally and set the screen rez to 800x600 manually, then tried to run PSP and got the same error message.
    I did a clean boot with all start-up programs and all services disabled; PSP still wouldn't run.
    I disabled my anti-virus and PSP still wouldn't run.
    Disabled my video card in the device manager and booted with my on-board video; PSP still wouldn't run.
    There's never an error message as long as the screen rez is high enough; when I try to run it, it looks like it's starting to run but nothing ever happens.

  • Error in Bex Analyzer including the filter button command in Callback macro

    Hello,
    I have the following problem with the function filter button in the Bex Analyzer included in the callback macro:
    Because of using 2 hierarchies in the filter the setting drill down to level 2 in the query gives no right output in the Bex Analyzer. The drill down level 2 is not shown. SAP recommends the include of a filter button to solve this problem. With a filter button in the sheet the problem was solved.
    But after including the filter button command in the callback macro I get an error in MS Excel.
    The callback macro starts, the filter was set by the user and the data was refreshed. Because of the refreshing of the filter the callback function the callback function starts several times. After setting the filter the first time, the following macro avoids the several starting of the set filter function:
    Sub CallBack(ParamArray varname())
    On Error GoTo err_handler
       Dim lRange As Range
       Set lRange = varname(1)
    'Filter entfernend/delete filter
    Dim ZeichenFilter As Long
    ZeichenFilter = Len(Sheet4.Cells(41, 3).Value)
    Dim Filter1 As String, Filter2 As String
    Filter1 = Left(Sheet4.Cells(28, 3), ZeichenFilter)
    Filter2 = Left(Sheet4.Cells(41, 3).Value, ZeichenFilter)
    If Filter1 <> Filter2 And Filter2 <> "" Then
        onAction = True
        onAction = False
    End If
    'Filter setzen mit einmaligem durchlaufen/set filter and run one time
    If onAction = False Then
        onAction = True
        Call Sheet4.BUTTON_55_Click
        onAction = False
    End If
    exit_handler:
        Exit Sub
    err_handler:
        MsgBox Err.Description, vbOKOnly, "Error in " & " setMusterSub"
        Resume exit_handler
    End Sub
    After the filter was set the callback macro starts the second time. Then the Bex Analyzer erros with the sandglass. The working on VBA is possible, but not the working with Bex Analyer . Values in Excel weren’t shown.
    How can I avoid this error?

    Once I am adding VAR_VALUE_1 to the static parameters, the system generates two messages error:
    Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    System error in program SAPLRRS2 and form GET_SID-1

  • JWS Start - Error Message Pop Up on Windows XP

    Hello,
    On Windows XP my web start app when it starts up (or is first installed as in picture below) always pops up an error message box with no further information.
    [XP Error Dialog|http://www.broughty.com/images/JWSOnXPError.PNG]
    http://www.broughty.com/images/JWSOnXPError.PNG
    If I press ok the JWS app goes ahead and works fine and as expected - so it is more of an annoyance than a showstopper. I would like to understand what causes it though.
    This only happens on XP - not on Windows 7. The Windows Event logs don't indicate any issues and no errors are displayed in the Java Console (which is to be expected as I think this error dialog is not anything to do with JWS directly but more to do with XP).
    Anyone else seen this?
    Cheers
    Mat
    Edited by: matbroughty on Dec 16, 2011 12:21 PM

    It is always Java 1.6 and above - have tried it on varying versions of 1.6 and XP. The attached logs are from a Windows XP mode on Windows 7, but it is the same on all the XP pc's I have tried.
    Attached is trace and log file up until the point that the error box appears, i.e. I have not clicked ok on the error yet.
    http://www.broughty.com/jws/javaws5811518457866209976.trace
    http://www.broughty.com/jws/javaws8177868955463083390.log
    Doesn't seem to be any report of any error?
    Both a javaw.exe and a javaws.exe process are started. If I kill the javaw.exe process then the error dialog dissapears, but then the jws app just hangs and the javaws.exe process eventually just dies as well.
    It looks like it is a Java problem, not specifically a JWS one.
    All very odd. I will try and build a simple 'Hello World' JWS app and see if I get the same issue.
    The example above I am using:
    java version "1.6.0_30"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_30-b12)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.5-b03, mixed mode, sharing)

  • Recurring iTunes problem; won't start/errors

    There is a recurring problem with iTunes version 7.7. It has also occurred on versions from 7.4 through 7.6. Upgrading to iTunes 7.7 results in a no-start for iTunes. No errors or messages. It shows up in processes. If all Apple software is removed and registries edited, then re-install results in iTunes not starting with error like "App failed to start because SCARDDLG.dll cound not be found". This is Smart Card service (which I dont' use but iTunes wants). If Smart Card services are installed/started, iTunes will still not start (but no fatal error msg. or any messages at all).
    I have removed/reinstalled several times. I have been through the MS methods for crypto services, edg.log rename, etc. It has still not helped. At this point I may have to resort to the same method when iTunes 7.4 gave this same problem. Get rid of all your APple software and re-install 7.3 from one of the retro software sites, i.e. oldapps.com. It also means you can forget about using your iPhone and many other newer Apple devices.
    I would have thought that since this problem has been around for at least 4 versions and many users won't buy Apple products like iPhones since they can't use them on systems that won't run Apple software, that maybe this would be motivation for Apple to fix the problem and/or publish a solution. BTW; I am running Trend Micro and yes, ports and web addresses are configured for proper access.

    There is a solution here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1661935

    Before I received your response, I tried something that seems to have worked. I used Chrome to go to the Firefox website and downloaded Firefox (without uninstalling it first) and went through the installation process again. For some reason, this worked, even though I already had the latest version of Firefox, and I can now open Firefox successfully.
    If it stops working again, I will try your suggestion. In the meantime, thank you much!
