Hi,
In the workarea the field of status control icon is showing Red/green/yellow that is ok but when i am modifying the internal table from this work area then text(Red or green something...) is coming insted of status Icon.
So how to modify internal table from this workarea so that i can display icon in my table control's internal table ?Your input is highly appreciated..
Thanx

  • Add change Icon in the Table Control tool bar.

    Hi Abapers,
I need to add "change" icon in the table control. I added it but when I click on it is not working.
My requirement is that when I run my custom report, all the fields should be shown is in display mode. Then when I click on the "change" icon, all fields should be enabled for change.
I have already referred to the standard progs BCALV_* but it does not have the "change" icon.
plz give me any reference prg or sample code.
    Thanks
    Nani.

    Hi Nani,
Track the function code of change icon in user command. if it is clicked then put a flag eq X.
check that flag in PBO, if it is eq X then screen-input = 1 or vice versa.
    try this code:
    in PBO:
    LOOP AT SCREEN
    IF WS_EDIT = 'X'
    SCREEN-INPUT = 1
    ELSE
    SCREEN-INPUT = 0
    ENDIF
    MODIFY SCREEN
    ENDLOOP
    Hope it will work fine

  • How to display internal table content to table control

    hi experts
I am very new to dialog programming
I have the Internal table in a report program containing data that needs to be displayed in table  control.
Can you explain in step by step.
         Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Rajaram

    Hi Raja
Dialog-driven programs, or any program started using a transaction code, are known as SAP transactions, or just transactions. The term "transaction" is used in several different contexts in the IT world. In OLTP (Online Transaction Processing), where several users are working in one system in dialog mode, the term "transaction" stands for a user request. In conjunction with database updates, it means a change in state in the database.
Programs with type M can only be started using a transaction code, in which an initial screen is defined. Programs with type 1 can be started either using a transaction code, or by entering the program name in one of the transactions SE38 or SA38. Screens call dialog modules in the associated ABAP program from their flow logic. Type M programs serve principally as containers for dialog modules, and are therefore known as module pools. Type 1 programs, or function modules can also switch to dialog mode by calling screens using the CALL SCREEN statement. The program code of the corresponding executable program or function pool must then contain the corresponding dialog modules.
Programs that are partially or wholly dialog-driven cannot be executed in the background. They are therefore sometimes referred to as dialog programs.
    <u><b>Transaction code</b></u>
The transaction code starts a screen sequence. You create transaction codes in the Repository Browser in the ABAP Workbench or using Transaction SE93. A transaction code is linked to an ABAP program and an initial screen. As well as using a transaction code, you can start a screen sequence from any ABAP program using the CALL SCREEN statement.
    <u><b>Screens</b></u>
Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by one or more screens. These screens consist of a screen mask and its flow logic. Since the flow logic influences the program flow, screens are sometimes referred to as "dynamic programs". You create screens using the Screen Painter in the ABAP Workbench. Each screen belongs to an ABAP program.
The screen has a layout that determines the positions of input/output fields and other graphical elements such as checkboxes and radio buttons. The flow logic consists of two parts:
Process Before Output (PBO). This defines the processing that takes place before the screen is displayed.
Process After Input (PAI). This defines the processing that takes place after the user has chosen a function on the screen.
All of the screens that you call within an ABAP program must belong to that program. The screens belonging to a program are numbered. For each screen, the system stores the number of the screen which is normally displayed next. This screen sequence can be either linear or cyclic. From within a screen chain, you can even call another screen chain and, after processing it, return to the original chain. You can also override the statically-defined next screen from within the dialog modules of the ABAP program.
    <u><b>GUI status</b></u>
Each screen has a GUI status. This controls the menu bars, standard toolbar, and application toolbar, with which the user can choose functions in the application. Like screens, GUI statuses are independent components of an ABAP program. You create them in the ABAP Workbench using the Menu Painter.
    <b><u>ABAP Program</u></b>
Each screen and GUI status in the R/3 System belongs to one ABAP program. The ABAP program contains the dialog modules that are called by the screen flow logic, and also process the user input from the GUI status. ABAP programs that use screens are also known as dialog programs. In a module pool (type M program); the first processing block to be called is always a dialog module. However, you can also use screens in other ABAP programs, such as executable programs or function modules. The first processing block is then called differently; for example, by the runtime environment or a procedure call. The screen sequence is then started using the CALL SCREEN statement.
Dialog modules are split into PBO modules and PAI modules. Dialog modules called in the PBO event are used to prepare the screen, for example by setting context-specific field contents or by suppressing fields from the display that are not needed. Dialog modules called in the PAI event are used to check the user input and to trigger appropriate dialog steps, such as the update task.
<b><u>Passing Data Between ABAP Programs and Screens</u></b>
How are fields from ABAP programs displayed on the screen? And how is user input on the screen passed back to the ABAP program? Unlike in list programming, you cannot write field data to the screen using the WRITE statement. Instead, the system transfers the data by comparing the names of screen fields with the names of the ABAP fields in the program. If it finds a pair of matching names, the data is transferred between the screen and the ABAP program. This happens immediately before and immediately after displaying the screen.
    <u><b>
    Field Attributes</b></u>
For all screen fields of a dialog screen, field attributes are defined in the Screen Painter. If a field name in the screen corresponds to the name of an ABAP Dictionary field, the system automatically establishes a reference between these two fields. Thus, a large number of field attributes for the screen are automatically copied from the ABAP Dictionary. The field attributes together with data element and domain of the assigned Dictionary field form the basis for the standard functions the screen executes in a dialog (automatic format check for screen fields, automatic value range check, online help, and so on).
    <u><b>Error Dialogs</b></u>
Another task of the screen processor is to conduct error dialogs. Checking the input data is carried out either automatically using check tables of the ABAP Dictionary or by the ABAP program itself. The screen processor includes the error message into the received screen and returns the screen to the user. The message may be context-sensitive, that is, the system replaces placeholders in the message text with current field contents. In addition, only fields whose contents is related to the error and for which a correction may solve the error can accept input. See also Messages on Screens.
    <b>
    <u>Data Consistency</b></u>
To keep data consistent within complex applications, ABAP offers techniques for optimizing database updates that operate independent of the underlying database and correspond to the special requests of dialog programming. See also Programming Database Updates.

  • How to display a table control in a report

    hi
how to display a table control in a report

create a screen in your report.

  • How to display a table data on Screen having a Table control

    Hi ,
I am new to ABAP.I would like to display a table data (Eg: ZDemo) on a screen at run time.I have defined a Table control in screen. Now I want to populate data from ZDemo to table control. How can I do that? Please help moving forward in this regard.

    Hi Gayatri,
After creating table control do the following steps.
    1. In the flow logic section write the following code:
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    MODULE STATUS_0200.
LOOP AT I_LIKP WITH CONTROL LIKP_DATA CURSOR LIKP_DATA-CURRENT_LINE.
      MODULE ASSIGN_DATA.
    ENDLOOP.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0200.
    LOOP AT I_LIKP.
    ENDLOOP.
I_LIKP is the internal table which is used to display table data in the table control.
    2. In Process Before Output, in the module STATUS_0200 write the following code:
      DESCRIBE TABLE I_LIKP LINES FILL.
      LIKP_DATA-LINES = FILL.
In Process After Input, in the module USER_COMMAND_0200 write the following code:
      CASE SY-UCOMM.
       WHEN 'LIPS'.
READ TABLE I_LIKP WITH KEY MARK = 'X'.
        SELECT VBELN
               POSNR
               WERKS
               LGORT
               FROM LIPS
               INTO TABLE I_LIPS
               WHERE VBELN = I_LIKP-VBELN.
        IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
         CALL SCREEN 200.
        ENDIF.
       WHEN 'BACK'.
        SET SCREEN 200.
      ENDCASE.
In Process Before Output and in the module ASSIGN_DATA which is there inside the loop write the following code:
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING I_LIKP TO LIKP.
So, Totally your flow logic code should be like this.
    TABLES: LIKP, LIPS.
DATA: BEGIN OF I_LIKP OCCURS 0,
           VBELN LIKE LIKP-VBELN,
           ERNAM LIKE LIKP-ERNAM,
           ERZET LIKE LIKP-ERZET,
           ERDAT LIKE LIKP-ERDAT,
           MARK  TYPE C VALUE 'X',
          END OF I_LIKP,
          BEGIN OF I_LIPS OCCURS 0,
           VBELN LIKE LIPS-VBELN,
           POSNR LIKE LIPS-POSNR,
           WERKS LIKE LIPS-WERKS,
           LGORT LIKE LIPS-LGORT,
          END OF I_LIPS,
          FILL TYPE I.
CONTROLS: LIKP_DATA TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN 200,
LIPS_DATA TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN 300.
DATA: COLS LIKE LINE OF LIKP_DATA-COLS.
    *&      Module  USER_COMMAND_0100  INPUT
          text
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100 INPUT.
    CASE SY-UCOMM.
      WHEN 'LIKP'.
       SELECT VBELN
              ERNAM
              ERZET
              ERDAT
              FROM LIKP
              INTO TABLE I_LIKP
              WHERE VBELN = LIKP-VBELN.
       IF I_LIKP[] IS INITIAL.
         CALL SCREEN 200.
       ENDIF.
      WHEN 'EXIT'.
       LEAVE PROGRAM.
    ENDCASE.
    ENDMODULE.                 " USER_COMMAND_0100  INPUT
    *&      Module  assign_data  OUTPUT
          text
    MODULE ASSIGN_DATA OUTPUT.
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING I_LIKP TO LIKP.
    ENDMODULE.                 " assign_data  OUTPUT
    *&      Module  STATUS_0200  OUTPUT
          text
    MODULE STATUS_0200 OUTPUT.
      DESCRIBE TABLE I_LIKP LINES FILL.
      LIKP_DATA-LINES = FILL.
    ENDMODULE.                 " STATUS_0200  OUTPUT
    *&      Module  USER_COMMAND_0200  INPUT
          text
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0200 INPUT.
      CASE SY-UCOMM.
       WHEN 'LIPS'.
READ TABLE I_LIKP WITH KEY MARK = 'X'.
        SELECT VBELN
               POSNR
               WERKS
               LGORT
               FROM LIPS
               INTO TABLE I_LIPS
               WHERE VBELN = I_LIKP-VBELN.
        IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
         CALL SCREEN 200.
        ENDIF.
       WHEN 'BACK'.
        SET SCREEN 200.
      ENDCASE.
    ENDMODULE.                 " USER_COMMAND_0200  INPUT
Save and Activate the program along with the screen in which you have included table control.
    Hope this will help you.

  • How to control the display of table control

    hi,
If I dont find any entry in the internal table to be displayed in table control then I should not display the blank table in the screen.
I tried using if not itab[] is initial in PBO but there(PBO) 'if' is not recognised and it gives syntax error.
Even if I tried to put the code of table control 'loop at itab[] into wa_tab contrl....'this part in a module and there to put the If condition it gives error to put where after wa_tab.
    Thanks,
    mohan

    hi,
As i told i had put the if part in the module but then it is the error with syntax check of table control as shown below
    PBO
    module pbo_100.
loop at itab into wa with contril Tc cursor tc-lines.
    endloop
    pai
    module pai_100
but here if i create a new module in PBO say module check_table and put the code for table control as
    if not itab is initial
loop at itab into wa with contril Tc cursor tc-lines.
    endloop
    endif.
then here error comed with syntax of loop at itab into wa has to be 'where' condition.
So the problem is i dont want to display the table control in 1st but after some input on the screen then only the table control is to be displayed .
Let me know if this is clear.
    thanks,
    mohan

  • Performing check and potential update for status control table

    Cheers Experts,
I searched in the forum, but I didn't find an answer.
    I'm working on a 3.0B BW system.
After updating from PSA to an ODS, in the log I see the following line:
"Performing check and potential update for status control table" and double clicking on it, it says:
If data is loaded into an InfoCube, or existing data is edited (aggregated/compressed/deleted/got from a DataMart), then there is a change in  the potential reportability of the data , or the possibility of deleting data by request, or of aggregating or compressing.
This status of each one of these Cubes is stored in a status table, that is updated when there is any change to the status of a request in the Cube.
The system now analyzes the requests in the Cube and compares the calculated status with the status table.
If deviations from the status table arise then you are given the option of adjusting the status table.
    I have 2 questions:
    1) What is BW doing, mainly because I'm working on an ODS and not an Infocube?
    2) What can I do to reduce its execution time, since it lasts several minutes?
    Thanks and greetings.
    Roberto

Roberto, did you ever find an answer to your question?  We also are experiencing long runtimes during this particular process running 3.x deltas from ODS to ODS and cubes.

  • Field Status control for fields at Account assignment level .

    Hi All ,
I have to take care of enabling / disabling / hiding / making fields mandatory  for some of the standard and custom fields for SC and PO depending on the Account assignment value .
I am not sure how to go about this .
I think this has to do something with the field status control .
SPRO -> IMG -> SRM sever -> cross application basic settings -> extension and field control ( personalization ) -> Configure control for fields of substructure .
I think i have to define some dyn class and also methods .
But not sure how to move ahead , how to declare class / methods , which super class to use , how will i get the req parameters for the methods , ...
Will appreciate a lot if somebody can guide me on this .
    Regards,
    Ambar Patil.

    Hi ,
Check in SPRO for SRM -> Extensions and Field Control (Personalization) -> Configure Field Control.
The metadata configuration for enabling disabling actions/fields in SRM can be checked from the tables
This contains the data for all the business objects
Check in SM30 the following views:
    /SAPSRM/V_MDA_HD for Header actions
    /SAPSRM/V_MDA_IT for Item Actions
    /SAPSRM/V_MDF_HD for header fields
    /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IT fir IT fields.
You can customize your logic for enabling diabling the actions or fields by maintaining the entries in the corresponding customer views for this data
    for e.g.
    /SAPSRM/V_MDF_HC for header customer fields
    /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IC for item customer fields
You need to maintain field enabled, disabled ,required based on your requirement.

    Neeraj

  • CATS-Time Entry Plant/Status/Control Key

    Hi All,
We have a situation when we enter time in Cross application time sheets under an Activity type & Network We get the following error message:
May i know why and where could be this error and how I can resolve it.
Check: Plant/Status/Control Key  This is the error I get
Steps Done: Went to CAT2>> For a person entered Activity Type and Network & Time>> Hit Enter  and I get above error.
    Thanks in advance for help
    Gopi

CN27 is for collective confirmation. In your earlier post you had mentioned that you are getting the error while using CATS. Check the status of the activity for which the confirmation is being entered. Run transaction CN22, enter the network number and click on the activity icon (green rectangle). Now check the system status of this activity. If it is closed it wont allow you to post any confirmations. Get in touch with your PS consultant if you face any issue in doing whats mentioned above.
Next time when you post a query be sure that you are aware about the details of the issue. This will help in addressing the issue properly.

  • Does material status control MRP running?

    Hi experts
May I just check if material status could conrol the MRP running?  LIke we setup some parts as Y0- obsolete. but we found it still could generate Pr or Plan order....
So does material status control the MRP running? Could we let obsolete part not run by MRP?
    Thanks
    Alice

    Hi,
In addition to Mr.Brahmankar mentioned ways, you can exclude material from MRP run by selecting Procurement Type as No Procurement in MRP-2 View in Material Master.
Also you can select X-plant / Plant specific Material status as :
01     Blocked for procment/whse to block materila from MRP run.
    Hope this helps.
    Revert if any doubt.

  • Display an icon in a table column

    Hi,
can i display an icon in a table column ? How
do I have to handle that ?
    Thank you...
    Claus

    Hi Claus,
You can use the following as table cell editor:
    1. Image -- just displays plain image
    2. Caption -- dislays image along with text or image only (or text only).
    3. LinkToAction -- same as caption, however provides you a way to have something like "onClick" action.

  • Remove status "control recipe created"

    Hi
I have a problem with a process order, this was canceled after confirmation and now i can't change to Tecnically complete because the status "Control Recipe Created" i can't remove. I verify the message status on CO54 and i don't have pending to be sent..
    How i can correct this?

    Hi,
First send the control recipe to process control system through CO53. then delete the PI sheet as per the procedure mentioned below. Once done you can  change the status of process order to TECO..
