Status of Outbound Delivery in case of batch split

Hi All,
I have a query regarding the status updation of outbound delivery in case of a batch split.
I have a delivery with 10 qty of batch managed material and is distributed from ERP to EWM. As per standard SAP, the following 2 options exist to carry out a batch split in EWM
1. Create batch sub items in the Outbound delivery Order
2. To adopt quantities pertaining to multiple batches during WT creation from the 'Stock can be removed' tab.
We are using the second option as per business requirement. The process is working fine if i create & confirm multiple WT's at one shot i.e in this case i created one WT for 5 qty with batch-1 & one more WT for balance 5 qty with batch-2 & confirmed both the tasks. System created 2 batch sub items automatically when WT's are confirmed & the header status of 'picking' got updated as 'completed'.
However the problem is when i create only 1 WT for partial quantity. For eg. in this case i created onle WT for 5 qty of batch-1 & confirmed the task. System created 1 batch sub item for 5 qty & also updated the 'picking' status in header to completed. My understanding is that since entire delivery quantity is yet to be picked, the picking status at header must be 'partially completed' & not 'completed'.
I have checked the status profile & have status types DER & DPI active. Does this require any config in the status profile OR Is there any other way in which i can achieve this functionality ( i.e. Header status must be 'partially completed' untill entire delivery quantity is picked.)
Would be glad if you can share your thoughts on this.
Regards,
Smitha Pai.

Thank you for your kind reply.

  • Error message for over delivery quantity in case of batch split.

    Hi All,
System is throwing error message if I try to to enter delivery quantity more than target quantity(order quantity) in case of standard process which is ok but in case of batch split when split line created (9000001 for line 10) and if go to item level in line item 900001 and enter delivery quantity more than target quantity system is giving only information message, still line item 10 is giving error message but line 9000001 giving only information message, user want this to be a error massege as well. Delivery item category for all the line items is same and status B is assigned to over delivery in item category. Is there any standard way of achieving this or do we need any modification, if yes then what user exit need to use.
I searched alot about this in last three days but found only one thread which is unanswered, please provide your valuable suggestions. If this problem is discussed already and solved please provide me the link to that thread as I could't find any.

    Hi
Still line item 10 is giving error message but line 9000001 giving only information message, user want this to be a error massage as well.
I think it you can possible to change the Information message as Warning message.
Please  go to SE91 put the Message Class XX (Ex:V1) there And in No. field enter the message number (Ex: If message no V1293 enter the number as 293)
    AND
    go for
where used in then select only Program >ok then Program will come select the Program > double click, you will l find the message with the Description.
Now with help of ABAP with just comment on these both the messages. Afterwards you will get the Error message.
    Hope this will helps you

  • How to update the status of Outbound IDOC in case of error

I want to know about how to update the status of Outbound IDOC in case of error.
I am using message control functionality here.

    HI,
If u r using the standard message and basic type
u can do it in the FM attached to the basic and message type. There u need to write ur own message instead of standard SAP message..chek if there r any userexits available in the FM..where u can overwrite ur own message ..
If u r using the Zmessage and Zbasic type
then u need to declare an internal table of EDIDS structure and then append ur message to the internal table..
    idoc_status-docnum   = idoc_contrl-docnum.
      idoc_status-msgty    = <message type>
      idoc_status-msgid    = message-id.

  • Gross Wt & Net Wt not copied from delivery to invoice in batch split

    Hi Frnds,
We are appling a manual Header Frieght condition Type (HD00) to a delivery with batch split.
In the delivery this value(HD00) is splitted between line items based on Gross weight. But when we create the invoice for this delivery, the batch split line items do not have gross weight and net weight, and thus there is no value for HD00 in invoice.
Please provide us any pointers if you have encountered any such issue...
    Many thanks in advance...
    Regards,
    Karthick C

    Hi Karthick
This is expected in case of Batch split scenario, because in the sales order there is no batch split and in delivery there is batch split.
You create invoice w.r. to delivery, But in copy control, you have  mentioned the price source as Order only.
Also the child items in the batch split are not relevant for billing and hence , if you see the item category of the child item in VOV7, u can see that it is not relevant for billing. Hence the value of the invoice having the line items alone will also be zero.
However the parent item will have gross weight and net weight in the screen.
If you maintain the price source as Order and Delivery, there is a possibility that you can get HD00 in invoice. The billing quantity in this case in copy control shoudl be either G or H. Based on this value, you can get either one invoice for both parent and child items or two different invoices one for parent and another for child items.

  • Delivery Item Category for Batch Split

    Dear All,
    Referring to Stock Transfer Order
    ME21N --> VL10I --> Vl02N --> PGI --> MIGO
During delivery we select multiple batches through Batch Split.
In my Development server the system determines Item Cat as NLN (NLNORMCHSP = NLN)
In my Quality server the system determines Item Cat as ULN (NLNORMCHSP = ULN)
The setting for Both Item cat is same Except NLN is marked for Error during over delivery.
Pls suggest me which one is appropriate.

  • Update Order status after Outbound delivery picking

    Hi All,
I have a problem in partial BOM deliveries using Idocs.
We are using IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY to update the picking quantity and the delivery quantity of BOM.
My problem here is, it is updating only the second item of the  BOM, but not its parent and the other children which belongs to the BOM.
However, doing the same operation manually via VL02N, when we change the delivery quantity of the parent BOM material every item of the BOM is updated in the delivery.
I tried implementing the BADI   LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC and updating the picking quantity using the function module WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE_2/SD_DELIVERY_UPDATE_PICKING_1, but it is updating the picking quantity of the second item twice.
Please throw me some thoughts of fixing this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

If your wearhouse management is active, then you need to create transfer order. If you don;t want to create transfer order, remove the wearhouse settings for the material in material master.
    award if it helps

  • Problem with batch in outbound delivery

Hi gurues...I´m newby in SD and I have the followin problem.
I confirm an outbound delivery that need a batch, without the batch.
Obviously I can´t post goods receipt, but when i do the shipment,
it creates the bill but it don´t post goods receipt because it says that i need a batch in the position. How can i do to avoid that the shipment creates the billing without the batch??????.....

    Jorge,
Here I am giving you more idea batch determination so that it will be more easy for you to correct the isue as you are new.
On batch determination, the whole process, how it is determined automatically in the order.
    1)     Normally we use batch determination at delivery level, because at the time of order material may or may not be created. For this material should be configured with batch and batch determination should be checked in sales views of material.
    2)     A2) Batch Determination during order Creation.
For this you need to maintain Classes d for you Material. Depending on the Manufacturing process you can define the characteristics for your material.
Ex: Purity for Medicines, Resistance for Electric Items.
You need to create a class (You might have to create a new class type) which incorporates the characteristic.
First Create the Characteristic Using Ct04 and then using Cl02 create the Class including this characteristic.
Then in your material master Classification View Enter this class.
Then Create a Batch for the particular plant and Stor Loc using MSC1N.Give the value of the characteristics in this batch.
Then go to SPRO ->Logistics General ->Batch Management and maintain the Condition Technique (Procedure, Strategy Types and assignment to sales docs etc).
Then Create the Batch Determination Record using VCH1.

  • How to set block to Outbound delivery?

    Hello Dear Experts,
We are creating sales order and creating outbound delivery
for that order. This delivery will be distributed (via automatically generated iDoc type DELVRY03) to NONSAP(warehouse management).
The problem is that the "Distribution status" in Outbound Delivery (LIKP-VLSTK) doesn't set automatically to the "Distributed" after IDoc generation (we need this flag to prevent the "Post Goods issue" before receiving the confirmation from foreign system).
    Questions:
    1. Are there any ways to set this status manually via BAPi functions?
    2. How can I block delivery not changing this status?
    3. Is it possible to change this status manually in dB?
    Regards,
    Alexander.

  • Picking Outbound Delivery

    Hi Experts,
I have created Batch Split via BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE.
Now I have to pick the delivery item quanties and change the Ovrll Pick Status to either 'B' - Partially Picked or 'C' Completely Picked.
I read from the forum that I can leverage WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE. I tried for Batch Split item and I have not been able to go through it successfully.
    Eg:
    Delivery           Item              Batch             Qty      UOM
    80001200           30                                     2         EA
    80001200       900001          000000144        1         EA
The second delivery item is the batch split of the first item and it is partially picked.
Could anyone let me know the parameters to be passed to update the picking for the above scenario?
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to update storage location & batch split on delivery items?

Any idea how to perform the following using a BAPI or function call with regards to updating a Delivery (VL02/VL02N)?
    1) Enter or update a storage location on a delivery item?
    2) Batch split a delivery item to give multiple batch    numbers. For example if delivery item is '101' then    after batch split additional delivery items with batch number assigned will appear as '900001', '900002', '900003', etc Entering a single batch number is straight forward and can be done using WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE/_2
Do not wish to use BDC or call transaction. Any help appreciated.

    hi sailatha..
im doing BDC for VL01N transaction.. how can i pass multiple storage locations for picking quantity..  my requirement is  if the material is not there in the specified storage location it should search in the other storage locations for delivery.

    this is urgent requirement..

  • Batch split in invoice...

    hi all,
a material is sent to the customer from two batches. in delivery, i am using batch split. while creating invoice, 3 items are formed for one material. is there a way to combine these three items into one?

    Dear Freind,
you mean to say that you do not want to show the batches there in the billing docment.
    Go to Copy Control VTFL,
There in the item level (For your said Item/s categories)
there is a column Data VBRK/VBRP.
Use the option 901 : Which is User modifiable.
Asker your abaper to write a routine in the T-code VOFM for 901.
The Logic would be from the delivery feilds should check in this way.
    LIPS-POSNR      LIPS-MATNR  quantity
if    LIPS-CHARG (batch number)  of     LIPS-MATNR  (material)
is same then invoice would be generated of the consolidated LIPS-MATNR  quantity.
Revert in case of any problem.
