Stock Determination process with examples

Hi all
I am working for the first time on Stock determination
I have created Stock det group G001
Created Rule R001
And assigned both(Stock det Header) to Plant 1000
Next in stock determination item table i have defined that
Special stock indicator - F store loc 001 has priority 1
and K Store loc 1 has priority 2
After that i have attached the rule to Inventory management application -to Mov type 201
After that i have assigned the in material master in MRP2 view
Now for that material i have carried out consignment cycle and the Goods are at consignment Vendor in MMBE let us say 100 is at Consignment vendor and 10 at company's own stock.
Can anybody throw some light How stock determination will work in this case
Thanks and regards
shailesh

Stock determination has to be enetered on "Plant data / stor.2" view (MARC-EPRIO)
Based on your settings, when you post GI via mvt 201, system should determine (automatically). FIRST goods from your own stock. If there's no own stock, THEN system should determine the goods from customer consignment.
Why don't you try it in your system?

  • Stock Transfer process with message SPED

    Hi guys,
I am trying to set up a stock transfer process, with a cross company purchase order that generates an outbound delivery which output message, SPED, generates the replenishment delivery through its internal process (standard program /SPE/STO_ID_PROCESSING, routine STO_ID_CREATION).
It works fine as long as I do not pack the output delivery item.
But when I pack the item the message processing results in error VL059 'You canot add this item to the delivery'.
Please note that the packaging material is not managed in stock and that the warehouse is not managed per HU.
As no OSS Note seemed relevant, I tried with:
    - Delivery type, setting the 'Generation of Delivery Items for HU Packaging Materials' flag;
    - Delivery type, canceling 'Item Requirement' routine;
    - Item category determination, filling all possible entry... ;
    - Copy control, from delivery default order type to replenishment delivery with packaging item category;
    - Packaging material type, changing "Indicator: Generate Delivery Items".
If you have any suggestion (maybe a combination of the above!) please help!
    Thanks,
    GR

    Hi MdZ and thanks.
When the packaging material type is not set in customizing as a delivery item (if this is what you mean) I get exactly the same error.
I tried to create a purchase order for the packaging itself and - after proper customizing - it did work.
But still get the problem packing my outbound delivery item...
If you mean something else please tell me.
I read the FAQ, but find no useful information.

  • Intra company stock transfer process with movement type 351 & 641

    Hi Experts!!!,
I would like to know is it possible to have Intra company stock transfer process (Plant to Plant within same company code) setup done for with delivery and without delivery for same plant.
I am expecting process the setup as below for same supplying and receiving plant.
    1. STO - 351 - 101
    2. STO - Delivery - 641- 101.
    Thanks in advance!!!
    Regards,
    Sopan Patil

You can do it by assigning another STO document type.
Eg. 'UB' with delivery and 'ZUB' without delivery process.

  • Stock in transit to the Original Stock( STO process with Billing)

    HI All ,
Here is an Issue on Stock Transport Order with Billing
A STO (Purchase Order) Is raised Which consist of 6 line Items.
VL10B is Done and Outbond Delivery no generated.
With this Outbond Delivery no PGI is done for All Line items.
Goods Receipt is Done(RECIEVED quantity will be in Quality Inspection Stock).
So through T.code QA32  the End User had done
    a) Accepeted 5 line  Item and 1 line Item he had sent as" Return to Vendor".
Note: ALL Items in this STO process are Exiceable Items.
Because of this Return to Vendor of 1 item in QA32 a material document is generated with
Movement type 122 and 1 Item is found in  material is Transit in recieving plant .
    But now The User wants:
a)To cancel the Material Doc generated with movement type 122 and
b)To bring back the Line Item1(Return to Vendor ) STOCK  back to the "Receiving Plant"

    Hi,
Since your 122 was created from QA, I don't think you can cancel this document in MIGO.
You may have to perform 101 to receipt from stock in transit again.
    Phyllis.

  • How Goods Issu happens in the Stock transfer process with outbound delivery

    Hi,
Can you please explain me how the goods issue happens in the Stock transfer scenario with outbound delivery?
can we use VL02n for goods issue for single delivery doc(Delivery type-RL).
Can we use the transaction VL23 for collective processing of goods issue for stock transfers.
    Thanks

    Hi Anil,
->You can use VL02N transaction to do PGI for the outbound delivery in the Stock transfer scenario.
-->But you have mentioned that delivery type is RL -is this returns delivery
Normally NL delivery will be used in STO(Rplenishment
    delivery)
-->You can use VL06G transaction for collective PGI
The transaction VL23 for delivery schdule in the back ground
I hope it will help you,

  • Stock determination with multiple storage locations

    Dear Friends,
Kindly suggest how to do the following configuration in Stock
    Determination.
    The scenario is
For example Unrestricted Stock existing for material " X":
    Plant 4000: 10 Qty
    Sloc1 -- 6 qty
    Sloc2 -- 4 qty
There is sales order (only plant is specified in Sales Order, No sloc) for 7 Pcs when the stock determination process is carried out it is showing the stock available is 10 qty. But when they make the PGI it is picking only 6, ie., from SLOC1, but it is not picking the balance 1 qty from SLOC2 even
    though the material is available.
The same problem exists for Production order also.
    Thanks,
    Regards.
    Krishnan.

    Hi Hari...
Make sure you have maintained the priority for sorting & the item table for the same.
Also in the No.Splits ( number of splits ) give a maximum possible value like 999.
The problem happening in ur case is, i think this fiels in blank in configuration . So system is stoping the quantity spliting, which will look for the series of S.Locns till the target quantity is reached.
    Reward points if useful/solved.
    Thanks

  • Website for MM flow With Examples..

    Dear guru's
Wish a very happy new year 2008.
Can anybody send me the website related to SAP-MM (a to z process) with examples.
Please send some other usefull websites links related to SAP-MM .
I m interested to learn from strong basics in SAP-MM.so pls help me....
    Thanks and regards
    sap-mm

    hi,
    First understand the process flow.
1.u r purchase manager means that u purchase 1000MT PP material ,this is ur aim
now u get some information from vendor side (like how much Mt?quality, deleivery time etc)
fine,u got 10 vendor list then now select best vendor among the list.
once vendor choosen then send purchase order to that vendor
(how much material and cost and tax all information)
after one week u will get goods from vendor.
u can check the raw material quality is ok or not ok?
finally u accept the goods againt ur po
after 3 days  u will get invoice from ur vendor.
check the invoice amount then pay amt to vendor.
so this is normal procedure for purchase process flow.but depends upon the concern some infromation added.
the same flow , we will follow the sap.
once normal flow clear then come to sap side
    best of luck
    regards

  • Stock determination finds deleted storage location

    Hello gurus,
we are using stock determination in MIGO for goods receipts to automatically determine the correct storage location for delivered goods.
Now we deleted one storage location and moved all materials stored there to another one.
But still, for certain materials, the stock determination gives the old location. Then, when we try to post the receipt, there is (of course) an error because the storage location has been deleted.
We use only one very simple stock determination strategy with just one item:
Special stock indicator: F (unrestricted-use stock)
    Priority indicator: 1
Any ideas, why the old location could be found?
    Thanks
    Alicia

    Hi Jürgen,
no, I did not remove that item, because it was not even there in the first place.
As I wrote in my OP, there is only one item with
Special stock indicator: F (unrestricted-use stock)
    Priority indicator: 1
    The storage location is blank!
I never used stock determination before and I know it is normally used for goods issue only, but in this system, there definately is an button called "stock determination" in MIGO for goods receipts. And when I click on it, the system determines a storage location where the material is stored. This works perfectly, except for the materials with blocked locations.

  • Third party process with Valuated sales order stock

    Hi All,
We have third party sales order process with valuated sales order stock. The problem is that in the theird party PR which is triggered directly from the sales order it determines a stock account which is assigned to the BSX key in OBYC.
But since this is third party processing as per my understanding a consumption account assigned to key GBB-VAX (since account assignmnt category is X) should get determined, so that when the GR is done against the PO a consumption posting is done in the background.
I am not able to understand if the system is determining the stock account due to the fact that it is valuated sales order stock and if so, what should happen after GR. Should we have a stock created for the material which is physically directly delivered to the customer?
    Regards,
    V S

    Hi,
Check GBB-VKA which is defined in OME9 for your ''E'' Account Assignment Category that SAP will debit upon GR posting
Also check "X" GBB-VAX and the G/L account assignment in OBYC
The posting on GR should be debit KBS -Credit GR-IR

  • MDM Data Manager step-by-step process with an example

    Hi All,
I recently started reading MDM. I am clear with MDM-Console concepts. But I have problem with MDM Data Manager. I am confused with data entries in qualified tables, work flows(using microsoft studio), Matching mode- rules(High treshold, low threshold) etc.. I read material posted in forums- but still I am not clear.
I need a step-by-step process for data entries with *examples*. A good example which covers all Data Manager concepts. PDF's with screen shots, videos any thing would help.
Please help me......It would be of great help.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Suchir

    Hi Suchir ,
MDM 5.5 has 4 MDM clients to perform 4 main functionality on the MDM master records.
    - Console- This is where all the Administrative work is performed
    - Data Manager- This is where the actual maintainence work is done on the master data like consolidation deduplication etc.
    - Import manager- Thsi is from where the source matser records are taken into MDM repoistory
    - Syndicator- This is from where teh consolidated master data is send back to the target systems.
MDM Data Manager is the heart of MDM
The activities that can be performed in the MDM Data manager are:
    - Data Consolidation
    - Data Validation
    - Data Deduplication
    - Data Assignment
    - Data Governanace
    etc......
    Qualified Table:
    - Qulaified tables are used to store relational records where one field value is determining the other field or fields value.
    - Qualified tables are maintained in Console and can be viewed in Data Manager
    - Qualified Table are viewed under a separate section in Data Manager in the right hand side.
    - Qualified table has Non qualifiers and Qualifiers.
    - Non qualifiers can be seen in the  Qualified table and in the linking Qualified field
    - Qualifiers can be seen separately under the Qualified section in the data manager
Kindly refer the below link to know more on this:

    Workflows
    - Workflows are designed in MDM for Governanace
    - You can create the MDM workflow using the MS Visio 2003 stencils in the MDM Data manager in the record mode under the workflow table
    - The saved workflow in DM can then be executed either mnaully or automatically based on teh trigger actions
    - The trigger action for teh MDM wf are record Add,Update,Import,Manual
Kindly refer the below link to know more on this:

    Matching Mode
    - This mode is exclusively for Master data deduplication
    - We need to create Rules,Strategies,Transformation in MDM data manager in teh record mode
    - Then you need to run these strategies on the selected records
    - Based on your score and threshold set in the strategy MDM will identify duplicate records
    - This score will be seen in teh Matching mode
    - Colour coding is used along with scores to find out dupliactes
    - Green - 100%dupliacte Blue- 50?% Red- No duplicate

  • Explain SD PROCESS WITH AN EXAMPLE

    HI
PLEASE TELL ME THE SD PROCESS WITH AN EXAMPLES
    ADV. THANKS TO ALL

    Hi
    SD Process Flow:
Sales Order --> Delivery (Create Delivery, Picking, packing & PGI) --> Billing
    Normal Sales Order Configuration Cycle:-
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
    Schedule Line:
    1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
    Step 2:
    IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
    1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
    Step 3:
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
    1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
    3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.
Note: Ensure that Copy Control settings are done
Sales Order to Sales Order (QT --> OR): VTAA
Sales Order to Delivery (OR --> LF): VTLA
Sales Order to Billing (OR --> F1): VTFA
    Delivery to Billing(LF --> F2): VTFL
Billing to Sales Order (F2 --> RE): VTAF
The configuration differs from scenario to scenario & requirement of the client.

  • Background stock determination fails to process Cogi records

We are in a process to Reprocess the COGI records which have been Backflushed through
    DI u2013Backflush.
But It is found that system fails to process the records. giving the message u201C0 goods movements have been successfully executedu201D.
Stock is available for the material to process.
As per my assumption if the stock is available for the material then system has to populate correct store location and valuation type as per the priorities available in stock determination group and should process the records in COGI.

  • Stock determination with Valuation type in WM

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We have activated Split Valuation . There are two Valuation type for material FREMD_HALB for extern procument and EIGEN_HALB for in house production. Warehouse Managment is active.
We have stocks in our WM Storage Location 10 pc For EIGEN_HALB and 10 PC for FREMD_HALB
If we want to sale 5 pc form this material, we would first consume from FREMD_EIGEN Stock. Stock determination has been set correctly .
    Plant              SDG             STDR
    ZEKU     ZEKU     ZEKU
Sp                 Plant    Priority indicator  Valuation type
    F     ZEKU     1     FREMD_HALB
    F     ZEKU     2     EIGEN_HALB
and Stock determination rule has been assigned.
But  when we create a transport order by delivery It is always suggested by the system EIGEN_HALB Stock.
I have looked oss note and found OSS Note 365570 - Stock determination in LE-WM Note 365570
OSS NOTE says as Solution   u201EFor stock determination in Warehouse Management, the system does not take any pipeline stocks or valuation types into account.u201C
I would like to ask if there is a solution for this?
Should I use  USER EXIT. If yes, can you give us the user exit name??
    Thanks in Advance.
    Best Regards,
    Emre

    Hi Jürgen,
Yes , I have tried WM Batch determination but it doesnt work.
I will try to implement a user exit.
    Thanks a lot!
