Stock difference in MCHB & MARD

Hi,
I am seeing stock differnce between MCHB & MARD table. For a particular MM/plant, the stock does not show in MCHB but there are few stocks showing in MARD & MARC tables. All our stocks are batch managed.
i checked there was nothing in transit for this particular MM.
Can any one help me how this occurs or give some idea for fix
Thanks in advance
Sakthi.K

in which fields of MARC and MARD do you see the stock?
Do you find movements for this quantity in MB51? does the movements really have a batch number? what movement types do they have?
if the material is directly received into subcontracting stock without beeing first in your own storage location, then MCHB does not get an entry

  • MCHB,MARD - Stock available at plant level and storage location level

    Hi ,
How to determine how much stock available at Storage location level and Plant level. (Lot is not maintained).
In MCHB-Stock at lot level is shown.
In MARD-Stock at Storage Location level is shown lncluding
the stock maintaned at the lot level.
If i want to know the stock which is not maintained in Lot, i.e, Stocks directly maintained at Storage location / Plant.
Do I need to subtract the MCHB Value from MARD Value ?
Is there any other way available to find the stocks which is not maintained at lot level.
    Regards
    Prasath

    Hi prashant,
What do u mean by stock maintained at SL level without batch level.  Do u mean that some materials are subjected to batch management and some or not?
If that is the case, for all batch managed materials, u can see the stock at batch level and also same is summed up at SL level.  But still what ever u are getting from MARD table isstock at SL level only.
If u have activated batch management for any material, it will always be shown at lot level also.
    hope this clarfifies query

  • Need advise to calculate stock difference (Theoric values vs real values)

I know there is a transaction named MI20
This transaction is able to give me the needed info... except it gives me the info un units. Meaning, if a box of certain product has 12 SKU and we have 12 boxes, the result window shows 144 SKU.
This is not a bad thing... except for the fact that the company does not only want to see the SKU but they want to see the boxes. If there are 145 SKU of the same product in stock, they want the result window to show it like this:
Item: <ItemName>, Boxes: 12, Units: 1 (This is a rough example)
Now... I don't think it is a good idea to touch the standard code, so I decided to create a new (and simplified) transaction that asks only the parameters they want, they agreed to this and so I started... but stopped almost right away.
"Why?" you might ask. Well, I don't know the tables I sould read to determine a difference in stock between what's supposed to be and what really is.
My common sense tells me the actual stock is somehow introduced to the system with some document. But where? Which table(s)?
Also, how can I calculate the theoric values ? Initial stock (date of implementation) minus sales, plus purchases? That's what common sense tells me but... also tells me that is only going to be slower as time passes by, not to mention I don't know where to look into (again).
After the people who implemented SAP left, we were left adrift. No data dictionary, no ABAP training, no language refference manual, no nothing :s
I don't want source code to be written here... but I'm kinda desperate, I tried to understand the standard code of the MI20 but I get lost. I'm reading the RM07IDIF report and while I can see some tables there, I can't ger a grip on what's happening >___<
What would you say is a good starting point or course of action? (Don't say "Get formal ABAP trainning"... that's not going to happen, my boss haven't even pressed the buttons to get a book from the SAP store ;_;)
I know the ISEG, MARA, T!58 tables play a role in the whole movie (How, that's still a mistery I have to unveil).I  I've also noticed some structures that (to my understanding) are used mostly to store partial results.
I know this question is very vague and even might look like "Do the work for me", but believe me, I'm not looking for source code to copy paste. I'm trying to understand the system and the relation between the tables in order to start coding.
Thanx in advance for your help and understanding : /

  • Unrestricted stock difference - Batch wise and Plant wise in MMBE

    Dear All,
When checked in MMBE transaction - Stock quantity difference.
    For Ex.
    - at Plant level it showing Qty - 1000
    - When we count batch wise available unrestricted showing - 1400
What is the reason?? Did any one get this type of issue earlier. Please reply.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

    Thank you.
Solved, problem not with the UOM, But with material transfers and reversals.
Material stock transferred to Dummy cost center before batch classification and returned the same quantity with 202 - not to unrestricted, but direct to batches.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

  • Correcting stock difference

Stock transfer is between two plants via two step process. There is a difference in the MB5t & MMBE report, after the stock transfer being done. Is there any program to clear the differences between these two reports?

if you did two step   sto, then stock issued from supplying plant through PGI, then at supplying plant stock is immediately the same will reflected at MMBE. but it is not received by receving plant. so the stock is still in TRANSIT. this refects at MB5t.
MMBE - stock overview MMBE did not show stok in transit

  • Closing stock difference

    Dear All,
We are getting some difference between MB5B and MB51 Reports.
    MB5B:
    (1) Closing stock of Semifinished & Finished Goods as on 30 Nov 2008
    is 9112.420 MT (Metric Tonne)
    MB51:
    (2) Production during the month of december 2008 is 8324.612 MT
    (3) Despatch During the month of December 2008 is 10009.500 MT
    (4) Closing Stock=(1) + (2) -(3)
    =9112.420 + 8324.612 - 10009.500
    =7427.532
    (5) However now if we check the Closing stock as on 31.12.2008 for the
Semifinished & Finished in MB5B is 7605.960 MT
    We are getting a difference of = (5) - (4)
    = 7605.960 - 7427.532
    =178.478 MT
Please suggest for analysing Production which mov type has to be considered
And for Despatch which mov type has to be considered
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Honyal

    Hi,
The movement types are as follows :
    Production / Purchase : 101
    Quality Posting : 321
Return to Pord order / Purchase order : 102
    Delivery : 601
    Return Delivery : 602
Stock transfer from Plnt to Plant : 641
Return stock transfer movt : 642.
Now use the above movt tyoes and compare between teh reports.

  • Stock differences in MM03

    Hi MM experts,
Within MMBE for a purchased part, we show a stock of 24,000. However, when I look in MM03 on the Accounting 1 tab, I get a negative stock of -20,000.
    Can anyone explain the difference.
    Thanks for your help.
    Mike

Check Inventory management & physical inventory -> Goods issue/transfer posting -> Allow negative stocks.(OMJ1)
If negetive stock is allowed in your system.
In MB52 and MMBE check the selection criteria carefully.

  • Stock differences

    hello everone
can anyone one explain what could if the possible reasons in the following conditions:
    a) if SAP IM stock > NON_SAP WM
    b) if  NON_SAP WM >  SAP IM stock
pls explain in terms of delivery, PO receipts,?
    tks in advance.

    Hi,
There are several movements that can increase / decrease your stock level in SAP. In order to be able to define them we should know your processes.
Genreealy GR are realized by mvt 101 (but you can use e.g. 103, 501, 561, etc), GI are realized by mvt 601 (but here you can use several other 313, 201, 261, etc).
You can do inventories via 7* movement types.
If you have differences you should know which goods are affected. If you know the material numbers you should check goods movements only for these materials > check in which period the difference between SAP and non-SP system came to existence.
E.g. if you have difference for materialA, and your two system has been in use from 01/01/2005 > you can check goods movement from 01/01/2005 to 01/012006 in both system > if difference came into existence in this period check movements from 01/01/2005 to 01/06/2005 > etc
You don't need to concentrate on movement types > just give the material number, organisational levels, time period as selection criteria in MB51 > run the report > summarize all goods movement independently from the mvt.
Do the same for non-SAP system > compare the two
Hopefully you understand what I think of.

  • Stock difference between WM and IM

    Dear all
I have an issue which relate to stock discrepancy between WM and IM.
the situation is in WM record in booking, we have A product in storage type B. but in IM booking it didn't have.
in fact , we didn't have that product A in warehouse, that mean the WM booking is not correct either.
I tried to make stock counting which move A from storage type B to 999. and put the zero mark in LI11n. now the difference quantity is sitting in storage type 999.
but now how should I move the differnce from storage type 999?
your promopt reply will be highly appreciated.
    b.r
    elly

I have a kind of goose skin if I read that one moves stock to 999.
If you do the standard phyiscal inventory, then you clear differences in WM with LI20. this automatically gets the difference to 999. No manual move needed.
and finally you clear the 999 with MM using LI21.
But I still do not really know your situation.
LX23 creates inventory in MM if WM stock is bigger than MM stock.
But if the stock is then equal but wrong in MM and WM, you have to count it again and post the differences with LI20 and LI21.

  • Stock difference between MMBE and YMB5B

There is a difference of 300 nos between the stock in MB5B and MMBE. Then i found that the same quantity is shown as blocked stock under FNPR category in MMBE.

Can someone help me to find that blocked stock and release it.

    Dear,

  • Cant  create TO, stock differences

    Hi All,
There is a problem with stocks. The users were trying to do a bin to bin transfer, but it gives error that there is not sufficient material. Warehouse is HU managed. So, I looked into HU history and it shows that they brought the stock in the warehouse by doing 712 movement which created an inbound delivery and goods receipt. Then somehow it created Goods issue material document with movement 711. So, now the problem is at IM level (MMBE) the stock is gone, but WM (LS24) shows full stock at bin level. How would that happen?
    Thanks

    Hi Tushar,
Please run transaction LX02 for the warehouse you are investigating. You should see that the total stock in the WH doesn't differ from the IM stock.
    Please confirm it
I guess you have negative stock in one of your interim storage type (9**). Please check it. If it is so, please move (LT01 / LT10) the relevant quant (that has the same characteristics and is in normal bin) to the appropriate interim storage type and the + and - quant will result in 0.
    Hopefully.
Please also check in LB10 whether you have unprocessed TR...if yes, instead of creating TO by LT01 / LT10 you can move the quant by processing that TR.
    Regards,
    Csaba
