Stop a coldfusion request

This is what I'm looking for.. example:
2 users log in.. both pull reports... User 2 pulls the report
and waits, but user 1 gets impatient and closes the browser halfway
through the request being completed. I'm guessing I will have to
use sessions here, but how do I kill or abort user 1's request
using CF?

You don't at least not easily. The browser does not inform
the server
that it has been closed. Part of that 'stateless' nature of
the HTTP
protocol.
You could theoretically use JavaScript to send a request to
inform the
sever the page has been closed possible using AJAX to keep it
behind the
scenes. But this is not very reliable.

  • Error on server - printing stopped - Very First request to print any report

    vs2010 sp2
    CR13 sp1
CR12 developed reports requested in app with no mods
I'm getting there but I can't get the very first print request honored regardless of
size to print on the very first request but will print when re-requested.
A very large detailed report (+300 pages) errors as well.  The running time is
over 1 hour from rendering to print.  The printing starts to spool but errors.
I've caching, sessions to keep the large report alive.
I have also increased timeout on the server.
    Thanks,
    Isaac

    Is is a website/web app
I found the following which makes sense in relation to initial prints etc.
Can you or someone tell me where to make this change in II6
which we are using on the sql server 2000 box (initially I was was told it was 2003)
ActiveX printing fails in the .NET web form viewer when IIS GZip Compression is in use. As a result, the following error message appears:
"A Communication Error Occurred. Printing will be stopped".
    Cause
This is a known issue with Crystal Reports .NET. This issue has been assigned Track ID ADAPT00459349. At time of writing, there are no file updates to resolve this issue.
    Resolution
To work around this issue, do one of the two suggestions offered below:
Disable compression for the following mime types:
    application/x-eor (end of report)
    application/x-ack (acknowledgement of printing finishing)
    application/x-epf (encapsulated page format)
    -OR-
Use HTTPZip instead of GZip for compression.
    Thanks,
    Isaac

  • How do I set a default to never allow access to my contacts and stop the popup requests on every website?

Since last few Nightly updates, I am getting one or more (one site had 5 domains) popup requests similar to "Allow ad.doubleclick.net to access your contacts? [] Don't ask for this site again. Allow access Don't allow access .... This is getting really annoying. If you are going to add this capability to Firefox, please add a default config setting to always deny access and stop the popups.

It is in the process of being disabled. It will likely be some time next week before the code will be reverted.

  • TM Backups not stopping after reaching requested space

My TM doesn't seem to know when to stop backing up anymore. For example, the latest backup has requested 19.18 GB, but it's still cranking along after backing up 31 GB and climbing. I have to stop the backups manually or it just keeps writing, never finishing.
This keeps happening even after a restart of the iMac. Disk verify and repair found no problems on the TM disk. It is a 1TB WD USB drive that I've been using successfully for over a year, with about 325 GB still available.
I am getting a lot of USBF timeout messages while TM is running. I have switched to different USB ports with the drive, and even switched to another similar WD drive, but the timeout messages persist. Could there be a problem with the USB bus itself? How would I check for this?
Thanks for any ideas you might have on what I should try next.

It may be a directory problem on your internal HD. Try verifying it. If that shows problems, you'll have to boot from your OSX Install disc to repair. Post back if you need to do that but aren't sure how.

Especially with WDs, that's often a problem with the built-in sleep or "spin down" feature -- it doesn't spin back up quickly enough. Sometimes it's a sign the disk is beginning to fail, as if a bearing is getting sticky.
Try removing the check from the +Put the hard disk(s) to sleep . . .+ option in System Preferences > Energy Saver temporarily. Some external drives respond to that setting, some don't, but if that stops the problem, at least you know it's the drive.

  • Services stopped responding to requests after several updates

This week all services on a G5 dual 1.8Mhz tower stopped responding. Unfortunately, I cannot find a trigger event for this though perhaps it is related to recent updates.
The services that stopped responding include bonjour, ssh, remote desktop/management, web server, and any services residing on an Airport Express (printing, AirTunes). Even ICMP pings will not respond.
All outbound connectivity works properly and I can access all the services locally.
On the surface it looks like a firewall problem, but no changes were made there and even with the FW set to "Accept all incoming connections", nothing gets through.
Using tcpdump, I can see the remote computers trying to access the services, but there is no response.
Also, during bootup, print jobs that were stalled because the printer on the Airport Express couldn't be found actually print and for s short time the system responds to pings, then stops.
There are lots of errors in the console at startup including the "SHAuthorizationRight" error (see below):

It took a couple days to figure this out, but I have answered my own question.
The problem was a security policy installed by a Check Point VPN1 connection to a particular remote site. Their policy turned off all local access on my G5. After deleting the site from VPN1 all services became available.
This really is a CheckPoint problem because I could not find any way to change the security policy to "unrestricted".

  • OData - Stop sending bad requests

    Hi experts,
i'm facing some issues in my application when sending a bad request or using an non implemented feature ( e.g trying to create a entity using oData without specifying a key, action which fails ).
Each time I am sending a well-formed request of the same type ( POST for POST , etc ), the "bad request" seems to be sent again.
I wonder if there is a way to destroy bad requests or prevent them to be sent again.
    Thanks for your help,
    Best regards,
    Marc

Call the support number.   Ask for the billing department.  Explain the situation. Ask for a return box or the nearest location where you can return it.  Return the box.  Be sure to get a receipt.  Once the box is returned, you should get no more bills.  It is your responsibility to return the box.
When you call support, be polite and explain your problem.
Stay on it until you get results.
    P.S.  Threats never work!!!!

  • How to stop a CANCELLATION REQUESTED?

Hi, I was trying to get a desktop tower and thought I brought the wrong one at first and canceled it, finding out it was the right one I had 2nd thoughts about buying it so I tried to get a cancellation on it but I realized I actually want the item, So can I get someone to help me stop the cancellation? Thank you.

    Hi 917LANG,
I'm sorry you didn't learn you had the correct item until after you had canceled your order. There is no way to reinstate a canceled order; the only option is to place a new one.

  • How do I stop Mail from requesting passwords on more than 120 accounts every time it runs? Unbelievably tedious and frustrating!

I've made sure that Mail has unlimited access to Keychain entries, but it still demands Keychain passwords for accounts every time the Mail app runs.
I've tried everything I can think of — and I'm frankly fed up with the utter lack of response from Apple. They've obviously abandoned the Mail app.

    Have you seen this message?

  • How can I stop firefox from requesting me to verify or change my password when I log into Monster?

Whenever I log into my Monster account the first thing that pops up is do you want to change your password? Change Dont Change. I have to click on one of the boxes before this will go away. It is very annoying and I would like to have it removed.

The site may be using JavaScript to make changes to the password field that cause Firefox to display the update dialog.

  • How do I stop the endless requests to continue a trial of a product I have been paying for for ages?

I have had my fill of this problem, and I am now at my wits' end. If there were any alternatives to Adobe, I'd be switching. I paid over $1000 for CS5 nearly 3 years ago, and when I upgraded to CS6, the subscription service was all that was available. I am using a PC with Windows 7, and ever since the upgrade to Photoshop CS6 in Creative Cloud, Adobe has relentlessly and ceaselessly harassed me with pop-ups everytime I open PS asking me if I wish to continue my Creative Cloud Free Trial (this, despite their debiting my credit card $9.99/month for my subscription to the vary same). I usually close these notices and continue with my work, but every so often, I am required to log in to Adobe and register my already registered software before I am allowed to use PS. Once I do this, I go back to the usual annoying pop-ups, but at least I'm allowed to work by my Adobe overlords.
Does anyone out there know how to get Adobe to leave you alone????

  • Coldfusion service stops responding

We have a BIG problem on our Coldfusion production server.
Today is stopped responding on requests. It has been more and
    more frequent lately.
    Server info:
    ColdFusion MX
    Version: 7,0,1,116466
    Edition: Standard
    Operating System: Windows 2003
    Java Version: 1.4.2_05
Usually we can’t find anything in the log files but
    today we did get this:
    Component Prog ID: 3[ODBC][Env 2fc1978]
    Method Name: IDispenserDriver::CreateResource
    Process Name: w3wp.exe
    Exception: C0000005
    Address: 0x7C8224B2
    Call Stack:
    + 0x7c8224b2
    + 0x40280006
    Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.1830,
faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address
    0x000224b2.
Any idea’s? Any one that would know how to
    debug/monitor this?
    Morten

That sounds like a problem with IIS, rather than ColdFusion.
In which log did you find this error - in the system event log?
One thing that might help, install the IIS Diagnostics
    Toolkit (iisdiag):
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9BFA49BC-376B-4A54-95AA-73C915670 6E7&displaylang=en
You can use the debugger to capture detailed crash dumps and
run analysis reports that can usually point you to the source of
    the problem.
Another thought, I've heard of people running into issues
with Windows 2003 server where the OS itself is at Service Pack 1
(or 2), and IIS was installed from an older binary (e.g...the
original Windows 2003 installation CD). That can sometimes create
strange IIS issues, as described here:
    http://www.coldfusionusers.com/blog/index.php/2006/05/18/recent-troubles-with-iis-60-coldf usion-mx7/
    Best of luck with it.

I gave my working account admin abilities in the system preferences. logged out and back in. Run the command line "sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash" as Topher Kessler suggested. Now my own password was accepted (before this ine and the admins accounts one failed). No there is no annoying request for the admin passowrd when sending a file to trash. changed my work account for no admintrative in the system prefs and logged out and in.
    Problem solved.
