Stop Premiere Elements from downloading

I use a cellular Internet connection and pay per MB
Every time I open Premiere Elements it uses 25 MB
Updating is disabled but it has not stopped Premiere Elements
This does not happen with Photoshop Elements
This does not happen with any other application
All application Updating is disabled
I do Manual Updates for everything
I have a Wireless Watcher that shows every byte used
I have tested this with every application
This only happens with Premiere Elements
Just to be sure I disabled all Adobe applications
It does not download anything, Just uses up 25 MB each time
How can I stop Premiere Elements from using up my MB

In Preferences you can choose to not be notified about updates.
However there is no option not to check for updates.
So that is what is happening, it is always checking for updates.
There should be a option to disable checking for updates.
I disabled updates in Adobe Reader X and Flash Player and
it does not check for updates for those.
I check manually for updates because of my connection but
mainly because when there is a update available I will go to the source
and download the update and install it myself which is the better way.
I will look for a way to disable the automatic checking for updates by
Premiere Elements and if not found I will contact Adobe as you suggested.

Since you have a new install of OSX, you may be missing Stuffit Expander, needed to expand downloads encrypted/archived in a Stuffit format. That problem confronted me with a new machine running OSX 10.6; a download and install of Stuffit Expander fixed it.

Have downloaded PRE 12 zip 7. when I click link and run for PRE 12 64 exe, I get the following warning message:

Yes, understand 2 file requirement. Both in same folder, I understand.
In the Akamai download page, they are in this order:

With request to download in order given.
You advise the reverse order for download.
To further explain my posting:
Using Akamai page, with file links in order given above:
I clicked 7z link and opted for "open", rather than "save".
It downloaded in 40 minutes; about 1.17 Gb.
A security scan ran. Adobe reader opened to say it couldn't open file. I closed reader.
Then, I clicked exe link and opted for "run", rather than "save".
exe wasn't looking like running, and got the warning message:
Understand that downloads can be found in download folder, and extraction default is to desktop.
Even if exe wasn't acting, expected the 7z file in download folder, or extracted folder on desktop (prior experience).
But there was no sign of a large file, or folder (~ 1.17 Gb) anywhere on computer.
Went to Adobe chat.
Could give info on links and file types associated, but, obviously, couldn't identify on computer target location, or give path, or destination of 2 required files.
exe wasn't downloading, and 7z, though went through download, using about a gig of data, was nowhere to be seen.
Chat techs came and went, asking for 2 files in a destination folder, file names, and path.
Obviously, in circumstances, none of this existed.
Techs seemed busy, and think, maybe, the situation didn't conform to the questions they asked on it, so went to community, and posted.
You replied.
At that point was downloading again, on Akamai page, with the above link order, but using "save" for both 7z and exe.
In turn, each completed, a security check ran briefly, Adobe reader didn't open, and both files were found in download folder.
On Akamai page, option, then, given to "run" exe, and was taken.
Extraction to desktop followed, and installation, serial number entered, was to C:Program files.
With tech chat on Premiere elements, and previously, Photoshop elements, no one mentioned to turn off antivirus, or firewall.
I do acknowledge that there are instances where this is recommended. I'm new to 8.1 and still sussing procedures.
Here, I didn't disable antivirus and firewall.
Download-extract-install seemed to be, and seems, ok. Still to thoroughly check program through though.
The disappearance of the first 7z download is still puzzling.

And, what is your computer operating system, Windows 32 bit or 64 bit or Mac 64 bit Processor?
Let us start assuming that your computer operating system is Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
Then you need 2 files for the installation
First, File, PremiereElements_12_LS25_win64.exe (about 1.5 MB)
and then
Second File, PremiereElements_12_LS26.win64.7z (about 1.2 GB)
And, you should be doing these downloads with antivirus and firewalls disabled.
Do you click on the lst file first and then on the 2nd one?
Do you have a purchased serial number or are you trying to obtain the Premiere Elements 12 Windows tryout
at this time?

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.

You can download the trial for Premiere Elements 11 at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=premiere_elements&loc=us. Once you have it downloaded you can run the installer and enter your serial number for Premiere Elements. This is assuming you are referring to Premiere Elements 11?

Getting a message, "A problem has stopped PS Elements from working correctly."

I just installed PSE11 on my new Windows 8 computer. (I had previously run it on my old computer with Windows 7). The icon flickers when I open PSE11 and then I get a message, "A problem has stopped Photoshop Elements from working correctly. Windows will notify you if there is a solution to the problem." Well Thank you for everyone's help. I contacted the service provider, who uses google to support their email. If anyone else has this problem....with google supported email here is the solution.
Go to your email account
click settings
click "settings" (again) under the settings button
click "forwarding and POP/IMAP"
under POP download click "enable POP for mail that arrives from now on"
save changes
Then go to your iphone
erase your email account
re-install your email account
now only new emails should show up on your phone, all your past emails will be saved at the server.

If you are having an issue with your purchase, you should be able to go to the iTunes Store app, tap on More and then Downloads. Then you should be able to swipe from right to left to delete it. Then you can try to download it again from the Music app. If you are still unable to download your track, the report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Premiere Elements 11 Download video from youtube.

The image was small so I dragged it to make it bigger.
I trimmed it and it plays fine. But after rendering it is jittery. Please help.

Unless there has been recent changes, YouTube agreement does not permit for downloads (ripping) of its videos, except as otherwise stipulated or in the case when you are downloading video that you personally uploaded to YouTube in the first place.
When I lost the original file that I had uploaded to YouTube, I was able to download from YouTube itself a .mp4 version of it with excellent quality for use in Premiere Elements or elsewhere.

Premiere Elements 11 Download interupted

While installing Premiere Elements 11 from disc to my Windows 8 computer, my toddler turned off the power supply. When I have rebooted my computer the icon appears on my start screen, but when I go to open it it says there is a problem and I must uninsatll and re-install the product. However, it won't let me uninstall it.
It comes up with the error message 'Error Applying Transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid'. I cannot seem to resolve this problem.
I have tried restoring my computer but it won't let me do that either. It says 'system restore failed while scanning the file system on the drive C. The drive might be corrupt. Try chddsk. Unspeicified error during system restore (0 x 81000204).
I've tried Chkdsk and nothing comes up.
I have tried the adobe CS5 cleaner tool which runs but doesn't seem to do anything.
I have downloaded the Adobe support advisor which comes up with error 'A resatart is pending. Bootstrapper error has occurred.' It then says to restart the systeme which does nothing.
Please!! Can anyone help me?

I've managed to restore my computer to before the date I installed Premiere Elements by temporarily deactivating my Anti virus and the Adobe Premiere Elements has gone. However, I'm now trying to re-install it and it is coming up with the eror of failing to Install Shared Technologies.
I've then followed the troubleshoot tip on Shared Technolgies which told me to use Adobe Support Advisor. This came up with two issues;
cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred.

Why does Adobe Premiere Elements 11 download my videos to my computer so slowly?

Hey guys, I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements 11, for quite some time, and I noticed that its download speed is as slow as a turtle. I know it is not my download speed, because when I download files from the internet, or games, it goes as fast as anything. Just so you have more information, I will tell you have my recording/uploading process goes. First, I record the video (Using Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture). Then, I would send it to my video encoder. (Microsoft Expression Encoder 4). I would then encode the video, and send that output file to Adobe Premiere Elements 11 for further editing and to download it to my computer. Now, everything up to this point takes maybe 30 minutes. But when I get to Adobe, it takes more less 3 hours (give or take a few minutes). Finally, after all that waiting, I upload it to Youtube, which takes about an hour or so. My problem is Adobe is taking far to much time to install/download the video. And as a result of that, I can only put out about a video a day. Is there any way to speed that up, or should I just get a new editing software? All feedback, and help is greatly appreciated.

The typical ways to introduce media into Premiere Elements 11 is via AddMedia which puts the source media into Project Assets and from there you drag the contents to the Timeline Expert view edit.
These would be your choices.
You say that you used Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 and a picture from Photoshop Elements 11.
Given that you are doing screen captures with Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 and you have a photo from Photoshop Elements 11, but how are you introducing them into Premiere Elements 11? At the same time that we are looking into the how, we need to look into the what, especially for the screen captures. The video and audio formats and file extension among other things are important to the Premiere Elements workflow.
So, again I would ask you to offer answers to what I had asked
I am assuming that you are talking about the time it takes for the video to import into Project Assets for you to drag to the Timeline. Are you observing any indexing and/or conforming going on (bar at bottom right of Expert view interface) during this 3 hour await time?
Among other things, what are you using for Add Media and to get to Project Assets? And, the usual drill, what are the properties of your source media, including size and duration, video and audio compression, file extension, etc.? By comparison what is the size and duration of those Internet games et al. that seem to be transferring to your expectations?
Is this one of those issues where "it never worked before" or "it worked before but not now" specific to Adobe files of the size and duration and properties that you are focusing on?
I see the answers to all of the above as expediting the matter to get your concerns addressed.

Premiere Elements 12 Download not working

I downloaded Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 12 from Amazon. The Photoshop portion of the download works great, but the Premiere Elements portion doesn't show up as downloaded. I've tried the set-up and it says it needs the 64-bit version; I've tried the adobe set-up, and it only downloads the Photoshop portion. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Premiere Elements 9 - Download still available?

Premiere Elements 9 - need to move it from one computer to another. I do not have a CD. I understand the deactivation process, and I have the serial number, but I cannot find a location to download it for the computer I need to move it onto. All current download pages/links seem to be going to version 11, but I just need to keep my version 9. Is there a downloadable version of Premier Elements 9 still out there? Thanks
