Stopping Creation of PO

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement to stop the creation of a local PO from a shopping cart.
It's SRM 5.0 and consider the case of catalog. It creates a PO when no approval is required.
I want to find out the point at which creation of PO starts in the SC ordering event.
Let me know if anybody is having any clue.
Regards
Amitabh

Hi
For this you need to make manual modifications..
Why you want to stop Local SRM PO ? What is the detailed requirement ?

Re: How to create PO's directly in SRM without shopping carts?
<u>SPRO Path</u>
SPRO -> SRM Server ->Cross Application Basic settings -> Define Objects in Backend System(Purch reqs, Reservations...........................)
In classical scenario, On approval, the system creates the follow-on document in a particular backend system based on the information you entered in Customizing for SRM Server. Depending on availability of the item or service you require, and on the settings you have entered in Customizing, this follow-on document may be a:
-> Purchase order
-> Purchase requisition
-> Reservation
for detail see the link
<u>https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/srm/technical+scenarios&</u>
There is an icon for link, which will give you details of setting possible in different scenario.
Do let me know.

  • Stop creation of reservations against the sales order

    Hi
I have a situation here can any body help me out?
For a single material there are two types of sales orders like export and local sales.
Now as the sales orders are large enough and can deliver over the six month or more.
This sales order creates large quantity reservation and due to this other sales order not confirmed although stock is available.
Now we want to stop creation of reservations against the sales order as well as availability check in sales order (availably check may be able to by pass using item category).
But we still want reservation against other production orders.(where the material as BOM component)

    Hi,
    check below options
    1. You can maintain Reason for rejection
2.. you can maintain BN in sales order schedule line category
Let's wait other experts to answer this

  • Is there a way to stop creation of invoice that refers delivery items with

    Dear Friends
I have items in delivery with qty 0 ( this is required for IDOC processing )
The Invoice was also created with 0 qty  with refrerence to the Delivery,
is there a way to stop creation of invoice that refers delivery items with zero qty.

    Hi,
Check the copy control settings in t.code VTFL.
Go to item details. Check the field routine assigned in copying requirements.
Copy this routine in t.code VOFM and add further logic to check quantity is not equal to zero, then this new routine in the copying requirements field. Check with ABAP'er.

  • Stop Creation of reservation while creating process orders....

    Hi All,
THe requirement is to stop creation of reservations on creation of process order.
have done the configuration in order type dependent parameters to stop creation of reservations on creation of process order.
After this configuration the reservations have stopped appearing in the MMBE for components although there are reservation created.
The above case appears only when i am creating process orders manually through transaction COR1....But when process orders are created by converting Plann order then in this case although the order type is same there are reservations visible in the MMBE transaction for the components.
Request you to please guide through the reason for creation of reservations when a process order is created by converting a plan order.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi All,
We are using the planning strategy 40 where in we produce only when the sales order is received.
For a material we are using SPK as stock transfer from other plant.
The requirement for this material is triggered due to 1)dependent reservation(as this component is used as a component to manufacture other material 2)Sales requirement for this material.
On MRP the requirement is transferred to the supplying plant and we receive the stock in our plant.
Now this stock is the total of requirement generated to fulfill the sales requirement and the consumption requirement. We cannot differentiate which stock was called in for sales order and which for fulfilling the production requirement of the superior material.
Whenever a production order for the superior material is created reservation for this material are created because of which the stock will not be available for creation of deliveries for sales orders.(This is because of the av checking rule)
Is there a way to differentiate these stocks.
We thought about creating MRP areas to manage the requirements differently but this will lead to creation storage locations and thus affect our global template.
Thus we thought of blocking of creation of reservations......this we thought as all the materials are already available by the time the process order is created so there is no point in creating reservations for the same.
Let m know if you need any further information .......Help me providing a proper solution to the issue.
    Thanks in advance

  • Company user - how to stop creation of groups??

    Hi all,
I am using the standard company user feature for enabling the approval of the new user registrations in the portal.
I have set "ume.tpd.companies = 1" , i.e. One company option. This will enable the approval process for the new user registrations.
But this will create a new group for every new company name which a new user gives while registering. For example, if user A is registering who is from XYZ company-then this will create a new group named "SA_XYZ" in the portal and add user A to that new group and if there is already a group existing with that name, then it will add him to that group to that group directly.
My problem is that I dont want this group creation to happen. Is there any way of stopping this creation of groups, but still have the approval process in place.
If any one has worked on this earlier, please help me in this.
    Regards,
    Narahari

    I have found the solution,
I have used the user exit RV60AFZC and put a check in there to see if for the returns sales order delviery is created and  Post goods receipt is done for the same.
This check works at the time of using VF01 transaction.
If no post goods receipt is done it will give an error message.

  • How to permanently stop creation of .DS_Store files on desktop?

Ever since attempting to use .ds_store on Terminal to find hidden iTunes files, the system will not stop creating .DS_Store files on the desktop. I've tried using the defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true command, to no avail. I'm relatively new to using Terminal, so if someone could offer any tips, that would be good. The file creation is more of an annoyance than a real problem, but I want to know how to stop it, since there is no info on this in other places. Thanks! ~ Eva

The DSDontWriteNetworkStores command only prevents creation on shared network drives.
.DS_Store files are always created locally (unless using something like TotalFinder to prevent that)
The reason you now see them on the Desktop is likely because during the process to track down iTunes files you enabled the option to "see" hidden files - issue the following command in Terminal to "undo" that:
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles false
If you want the change to be immediate (rather than after logging out & back in or rebooting) then simply "restart" the Finder app, again in Terminal:
    killall Finder

  • Strategy 82----How to stop creation of New Production Order

    Hi All,
My client is facing problem with the material which having Strategy 82- Assembly to Order,  As when they make a sales order  , w,.r.t that a Production order is made automatically by system,. User complete the production process and deliver this material , now when ever the Sales user change "Credit Block: in that particular sales order again a New production order created to this sales order, How to control his creation of new Production order? As if new production Order create it brakes the link between Sales order and the previous Production order which is already in delivered status.
Your Prompt response will be appreciated.

    HI ,
I am closing this thread , as I know how to got a control on trhis, As of behaviour, startegy 82 says every time u change in sales order it will create a new Production order during saving, if the previous order is not been in ONLY REL status.   So the only option to control this is in S.O ,change the Item category to "CN" i.e NO MRP when if required there has been any modification to S .O.  In std SAP system item catageory has to be congiured , in SPRO SALES we can do the necessary settings.

  • Stop creation of TMP files

Lately, when I work in Dreamweaver it seems to be generating some sort of temporary files in the root folder. A new file is created every 15 minutes or so independently of what I'm doing, each with and a random name and a TMP extension, like so - MFC2D43.tmp
They build up quickly, so every once in a while I have to stop what I'm doing and delete them manually. It's very disruptive. Please help.

It's already deselected. And as I have mentioned before, the files are created independently of what I do (saving, previewing, etc.).
Now that I think about it, it doesn't happen on my other machine. The only difference between the two is that this one also has Contribute. Could that be the problem? I found this when searching for TMP files - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WScbb6b82af5544594822510a94ae8d65-7f31a .html

  • Need to stop creation of second popup until first popup is completed

    Hi All,
I have a popup window in a WD component that display a PDF report. It works perfectly. However, I just received a new requirement to create another popup window immediately prior to the PDF report popup window which will allow the users to answer a Yes/No question which will change the content of the PDF. I thought that this would be a simple request and created another window for this new popup and preceded the call to create the PDF popup window with a call to create and open the new popup window. The problem now is that when I run the WD Application, both popups are created and opened at the same time with the first popup behind the second popup.  I do not want the second popup to be created and opened until the user selects Yes/No on the first popup window.
Does anyone have an idea how to accomplish this?
    Thanks,
    Gregg

  • How do I stop creation of multiple folders and files while importing CD

I am such a dinosaur. All I want to do is load some CD's and play them on my computer. iTunes starts automatically, and, dispite my settings, it does not get track names before starting process. Further, although my settings are to the contrary, it creates folders and subfolders, and I don't want any. When I start the CD, iTunes goes through the long process as if each track were being saved, but if I eject CD, it is not saved. If I save it, iTunes goes through the whole long process again, and if I don't click "do not replace", I end up with duplicates of each track - just the track number in one folder, and track number with name in another folder. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Getting tracks names automatically doesn't always work first attempt. Making folders during ripping process is normal for iTunes. Set iTunes not to rip CDs when inserted, then when you are ready to rip you can start process. This lets you get the album info added before ripping.

  • Avoiding creation of reservation during creation of production order

    Dear gurus,
when we create a production order for a semifinshed material there are reservations created for the raw material used to produce the semifinished material ,what if I what to avoid the creation of material reservation .
I have tried out with setting in opl8 wherein we specify the creation of reservation on release of production order or on creation or never but it is not working otu please if u can help me out.
I what to create manual reservation for production orders......Is it possible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
.As long as , you have BOM components are in stock  , system will generate reservation for them when you create Production order  where as if any of the component is not available in the stock then it will generate PR based on the material master set up because when you are creating production order or creating planned order through MRP , system performs material availablity check in the back ground and generate either reservation or PR automatically .
Secondly, you can not create Manual Reservation  , See the Std SAP message .Message no. M7 126
You entered an order whose category only permits automatic reservations. The following order categories do not allow manual reservations:
    10 PP production order
    20 network
    30 maintenance order
    40 batch order (process manufacturing)
    50 inspection lot.
So conclusion is you can't stop creation of reseravtion .Curious to know why you do not want reservation for PO ?
    Hope this is clear

    Posting Goods Issue
I need to make some checks regarding customer license expiration and if checks fail, I need to stop Creation of Delivery and Posting Goods Issue.

In the delivery you can use userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE to make your checks and send an error message to the user in case they fail.
You can find this user exit (form routine) in include MV50AFZ1.
    Hope that helps,
