Hello All,
Can you all suggest me how to customize my standard sales order so that i can determine storage location on sales order level?
Where exactly i need to put screen exit?

Hi,
Default storage location determination is not possible at order item level through configuration.
Please use the following User Exit:
MV45AFZB USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMIN.

Please help me in solving this problem, actually we have created a PO by referring a Sales Order PR with Acc cat-> 'X' and Item Cat-->'S', now the user wants to Change the Storage loc, but the storage loc is grayed out that is non editable, i want to know whether this is a standard functionally of thirdparty PO with item category 'S' or else any configurational changes need to be done. for your information the PO is manual PO, I searched all over the scn i could not able to find it plz if this question is already posted plz let me know the link of the question .
Thanks in advanceYes. It is a standard behavior. You can't use the storage location field for item category S.
Its because, the material will direct goes to delivery address location instead of storage location.
Normally, system will not accept storage location for the PO line item which has the item category S.
If you want to keep the storage location for your reporting purpose, then you can use the storage location field as per your requirement.
Go to path OLME-Purchase Order-Define Screen Layout at Document Level. Double click on PT5F field selection group.
then double click on Basic Data, Item.
Then make the storage location as per your requirement (Optional or required).
Then you can able to enter or change the storage location in ME21N or ME22N.
But remember, it will not effect at the time of MIGO. -
Storage Location at Sales Order level
Hi Experts,
I have an issue here. In our system, the storage location is determined at sales order level and for that a code is written in the exit MV45AFZZ.
In the normal sales order, the storage location is determined as expected but when the return sales order is created taking the reference from the original sales order, for one type of material the storage location in the return sales order is same as the reference sales order (as required) but for one other type of material the storage location in the sales order is not same as in the reference sales order but some other storage location.
Could you pls help in finding the possible reasons for the same.

As you may be aware through standard settings, storage location in sale order will not be fetched automatically and as you said above, with an exit, it is fetched into sale order. Hence, you need study that exit again as to why it is triggering a different plant when a return order is created.

we are using sales order stock in a specific storage location. Is it possible to filter it out of the stock/requirements-list (MD04). I saw filters in customizing but don't know what to select.

New Storage location - Old Sales orders
Hi experts
We have created 2 new storage locations and moved materials into them. This has given us a problem regarding our sales orders where the item lines point to the old storage locating and not the new. Is there a smart way to change open sales orders so they point to the new location or do we only have the hard way, and do this manually for each open item line ?

ATP check at sales order by storage location
Can I do an ATP check against a plant/storage location level during sales order entry? Basically, for a particular plant, if I have 2 storage location with the following quantities:
0010 = 100ea
0020 = 150ea
Can I create a sales order for 110ea, specify the storage location 0010, and have the ATP come back as saying that I will be 10ea short?Hi Sandip,
I think this is Standard SAP, you can put Storage location in sales order and then ATP will check only in that storage location.
You dont need any special configuration for this. The only thing to be careful is what other documents like PO, Delivery you are using for considering in ATP.
Otherwise if a storage location is mentioned in the sales order ATP will happen only in that storage location.

Storage Location Error duing GR of Subcontarct for The Sales Order Stock.

Is there any settings to avoid individual entry of Storage Location field for the child components during the Goods Receipt from Subcontractor for the Sales Order Stock.
As per SAP standard , I have created Separate storage location for Sales order stock components as the Stock provided to vendor . While receiving the header component , System showing error to enter storage location for all the BOM component s . My Requirement is , Storage location should come automatically for the child component while receiving the Header Component.

He's right, the posting is not a bug.
In case of MTO scenario, if components are managed in the sales order / project stock system withdraw them from storage location.

The subcontracting orders are account-assigned to a sales order or a WBS element. Thus, the components are not transferred (using a transfer posting) to the "stock of material provided to vendor" but are directly withdrawn from the sales order stock or the project stock at the time of the goods receipt.
Since the components are not transferred to the "stock of material provided to vendor", we recommend that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor. This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the sales order stocks and project stocks.

Confirmed quantity in sales order
Hi,
For sales order deilivery, check is performed at three levels:
Plant level, storage location level, batch level.
The settings are maintained in OVL3 and OVZP.
I tried to change the settings in OVL3 for storage location..
I maintained a storage location for a plant corresponding to a storage condition.
This is the way it behaves:
Eg : Total stock : 3500
Stock in S1 : 2000
Stock in S2 : 1500
No storage location maintained while creating delivery (VA02) in all the following cases.
Case1: Order quantity 2009, Storage location in OVL3 is S1.
Confirmed Qty : 2000
Case2: Order quantity 2009, Storage location in OVL3 is S2
Confirmed Qty : 0.00
Case3: Order quantity 2009, No Storage location maintained in OVL3
Confirmed Qty: 2000
Means it always picks up the qty to be confirmed from one storage location (S1) if it is either maintained or left blank in OVL3.
If another storage location S2 is maintained in OVL3, then confirmed Qty is 0.00. It does not confirm the qty w.r.t the stock available in s.loc S2.
I am unable to figure out the reason for this.
Kindly provide your inputs.

Usually stock in plant level only gets determined in sales order level. this is because , storage location will not be automatically detemined in the sales order level.
i.e, if the delivering plant has 3500, it will get determined irrespective of the storage location as storage location level stock is not considered.
In your case, if you are finding this on any client server, check whether any exit is used because
there is a exit 'USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION' which is used to automatically trigger storage location in sales order level, so that in this case storage location stock is relevant.
Check and revert back.

Sales order item quantity is not copied to delivery order quantity

i am trying to make a delivery order w.r.t. sales order which have 10 quantity for a certian material. when i create it, all the data on sales order is copied to the delivery order automatically EXCEPT the material quantity which was 10. it was working perfect and i dont know what mistake i made. is there any way out?

While creating delivery, r u getting the following error..
An item with no delivery quantity is not permitted. Item will be deleted.
If so, you are maintainig picking location determination for that particular plant and shipping point combination.
i.e.,
in OVL3 , for ur plant , Shipping point, Storage condition(Taken from Material master- Plant/Stor1 View)
you will be maintaining some storage location.
But for that storage location, you do not maintain a stock..
If you specify the storage location in sale order, the error won't come..
Otherwise add stock to the storage location assigned in OVL3..
It'll work..
I have also got the same error..

Automatic Determination Of Storage Loc Based On Batch In Delivery or SO
Dear SD Experts,
We have multiple storage locations within a plant and the same material may exist in different batches within multiple storage locations.
Our Batch Search Stragey is Based On Expiry Date.
We have a requirement where we donot want to enter the storage location in Sales order creation.
But during the delivery creation process the system should be able to determine storage location(s) for the item based on different batches. And create separate line items or split on the delivery (based upon multiple storage locations) If the entire sales order line item quantity is not available in a single batch with a single storage location.

when u can install the stock for particular material for based on *migo*, its ok, when migo is happen, batch tab its comes, it or automatic batch creation, system creates batch number number , its comes , deferent batch comes, so material comes deferent

when u enter for delivery line item comes based on line item storage location it comes automatically, delivery quantity also its comes, ofter u will do the batch detemation, first u clik batch split ofter system soes pop up screen , ofter click batch determination, in this times system soes based on material batachs can soes and quantity , also u pick ur quntity batch, and click on copy icon , so system copy the batchs and delivry line , cheek picking line item will batch spilt. ofter line item of batch spilt u can enter quntity , and do ur process,

Sale Order change BAPI - Storage loc not updated
Hi Everybody,
Iam using "BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE", to change the sale order items.
First iam calling above bapi with switch B, for new pricing & then second time for material change.
When i change any material number, it is getting updated correctly.
But the storage location, even though iam passing in the bapi it is not updated, & is blank - updation flag is also passed.
When i execute sale order change again it is updated - ie, for any material change for first bapi call, storage loc is not updated - for 2nd bapi call storage loc is updation - for same input in both the cases.
Is there any way to update the storage loc is first call of sales order change bapi.
Below is the parameters iam passing in bapi :

I have created a sales order with single line item of 100 Qty,
Now i want to create single delivery with two different line item with different STORAGE LOCATION as per the availabiliy criteri with those different storage location of the same or different palnt.
i had tried to create single delivery by manually putting second line item with different storage location,but i want this to be automatic by the system.

Yes its possible only if the plant is the same.
But storage location needs to be enter in the order manually. if you have different storage locations for the items in the order and system will allow you to create a single delivery.

Sales Order ATP should exclude the stock of a particular st. loc
Hi,
At Sale order creation, ATP check should exclude a particular Sto Location,
Suppose we have Sto Loc 001, 002, 003, 004 & 005, we want to reserve some stock for the next year, so we identify one storage location say 005 and move some stocks to this storage location. Now when the sales people are creating Sales order, the ATP check should exculde stocks from this Storage Location (the stocks in this sto loc should not be considered in ATP).
But for all other purpose like MRP this should be visible. We want the stock to be in unrestricted area in this Sto Loc.
Request you all to propose a feasible solution either through User exit or some configuration.

that you use to exclude storage locations from material requirements planning at plant level.
If you do not set this indicator, stock, requirements, and receipts are included in MRP at plant level.
Use
You can exclude storage locations from MRP at plant level in one of two ways:
By excluding storage location stock from MRP
If storage location stock is excluded from MRP at plant level, no receipts for this storage location will be created in the planning run.
By planning storage location stock separately
If storage location stock is planned separately, the storage location is replenished with goods if the stock falls below the reorder point.
Has any one tried this and does this meets the requirement.
