Strange code

I'm finally getting the hang of this, but since updating to
the current Paypal button extension in DW I'm getting strange code
inseted on my pages....
<input type="hidden" name="mrb"
value="R-3WH47588B4505740X">
<input type="hidden" name="pal" value="ANNSXSLJLYR2A">
Found this in the code on my Paypal buttons. What is it, and
what does it do? How did it get there? Can I or should I delete
this?
This is another case, I'm sure, where the new is probably an
improvement, but the learning curve is high.

account or
items youre selling.

  • MIDP 2.0 reference Implementation Strange code

    I' ve found a strange code in the http/Protocol.java of the Reference MIDP 2.0 Implementation.
    Line 139 in the static initializer.
    prop = Configuration.getProperty(
                                "com.sun.midp.io.http.max_persistent_connections");
            if (prop != null) {
                try {
                    temp = Integer.parseInt(prop);
                    if (temp <= 0) { //!!!!
                        maxNumberOfPersistentConnections = temp;
                } catch (NumberFormatException nfe) {
                    // keep the default
            }Can somebody explain me, why it looks so? It must be ">".
    Additionally, it looks like WTK22 emulator don't understands the property.

    No ideas?

  • Strange "code" in the Comments field when playing songs

    When I play some songs (probably 80% of my archive) iTunes generate some strange code in the Comments field. This is quite annoying, since I use the field to write additional info about the song, artist, location, whatever.
    Examples of such codes:
    " 00000244 00000000 000010B3 00000000 00022325 00000000 000057AD 00000000 00004E37 00000000"
    " 0000014C 00000151 00000551 00000580 0001119E 0001119E 00003C73 0000379B 0001D4D7 0001D4D7"
    and so on...
    How can I stop this generation of random numbers and letters in the comments field?
    null

    Ick.... Well, maybe you're right. I also turned off "let itunes keep things organized" at about the same time. Between turning off sound check, itunes organizing, and the WMP settings, I have never seen it happen again.
    I still think it was WMP, as I only open WMP rarely to listen to web clips and I noticed it had happened to some tracks I had not played in itunes for years, and it happened right after that WMP update. I'd had the sound check and itunes organization thing on for years.
    One thing we can agree on, it was totally random. No rhyme or reason to it, and I even noticed that it didn't even affect all the tracks on some albums.
    I just turned sound check back on, only on my Mac, because that is just my backup copy of files. We'll see if it hits again.
    edit-(it's determining sound volume on x of 393, weird, I have over 27000 tracks in my library)

  • Why when I open the output.txt file, is strange code there, not 3.1

    i almost copy the example from "think in java book" chapter 11
    however, the result "output.txt file" when opened by notepad of windows xp, always only very strange code inside, not what i want
    do i need open the file, before i want to write?
    or i use a wrong api again?
    or the java code norm is very difference from ms windows?
    thanks
    import java.util.Random;
    import java.io.*;
    class CreatRandomFile
         public static void main(String args[])throws IOException
              File fileOutput=new File("output.txt");
              DataOutputStream out2=
                   new DataOutputStream(
                        new BufferedOutputStream(
                             new FileOutputStream(fileOutput)));
              out2.writeDouble(3.1);
              out2.close();
         }//end main
    }//end class

    There are basically two ways of IO:
    a) human readable format;
    b) machine readable format;
    What you've just done is writing a double value in machine readable
    format to a file. Some folks call it 'binary format'. I bet your file is eight
    byes long. A DataOutputStream writes data in machine readable
    format. You need a PrintStream instead if you (a being human I suppose)
    want to be able to read the contents of that file.

  • Strange codes during POST

    Z77A-G45
    i7 3770
    Corsair HX650
    12GB Geil
    GTX 460
    I'm having this strange codes during POST, by this order: 99 B4 A2 C5. They change fast and the boot is fast too. What do they mean? My computer is working fine (as far as I know) but I'd like to know what those codes are.

    Those are simply POST sequence checkdown codes as it progresses to the boot of the OS stage. If it stops on one of them, then it helps to troubleshoot what the problem might be.
    Look this up on the Web searches, it should show up so you can download it.

  • Strange code instead of text

    Hi everyone,
    My Mac recently had to be restored from Time machine after failing to boot and saying it had errors in the disk utility mode.
    Time machine restoration seems to have all worked fine with one exception:
    Whenever one of the little boxes that normally asks you a question and requires you to click on a button to make a choice - instead of the text asking the question (such as 'Do you want to replace files' etc - it now just has some weird codes such as 'PW32' 'CP4' 'PW3' below:
    The top of the finder window also looks like this, with codes starting 'TL' shown below.
    Any ideas if I can fix this?

    Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal.
    When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
    If there's no improvement, see below.
    If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance. You can skip this step if you don't care about the data that hasn't been backed up.
    Reinstall the OS.* Your data should be unaffected unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
    If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
    If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
    *The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • Strange code for standard characters...

    Hi, sorry for the newbie question...
    I'm still working in GoLive CS2 and I'm predominantly a WYSIWYG user. I've started using a third party MP3 player (wimpy) and that's made me have to get into some coding... but when I look at a lot of my pages, I see that simple refs like: "http//:www.mysite.com/mp3s/homepage/rolling.mp3" are being written out as: http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emysite%2Ecom%2Fmp3s%2Fhomepage%5Fbutton%2Frolling%2Emp3.
    I'd be very grateful if someone with a bigger brain than me could clue me in on why this is happening...
    Many thanks in advance.

    Thank you both for your help. I guess what I was getting at, is that as a non-coder, I find it hard to sift through the hundreds of references to MP3s in the code to make changes and corrections.
    If I want to change a reference to a file called "Frolic.mp3" it's hard to do when the ref is %2FFrolic%2Emp3
    I was just hoping that there was some way of having the character set be referenced apples to apples.
    Which is probably why I never became a programmer... :-(

  • Inherited some strange code - connect by level

    Hello, I've recently read about how "connect by level" can be used to display parent-child relationships but I have inherited this code that appears to use that phrase in a different way.
    This is the SQL
    select trunc(dt) createdate, 230 eventcode, 1 isholiday
    from (
    select (trunc(to_date('10/7/2010','mm/dd/yyyy')) + level) dt from dual
    connect by level<= 120
    where to_char(dt,'dy') in ('sat','sun')
    and dt between to_date('10/7/2010','mm/dd/yyyy') and to_date('10/14/2010','mm/dd/yyyy')
    This code is supposed to be identifying weekend days between a start and end time with an event code (230) and it seems to work unless I use a weekend date (10/9/2010 or 10/10/2010) as the start time. I also dont understand where the value 120 came from.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    CONNECT BY is often used to display recursive parent-child relatioships.
    When "LEVEL <= x" is the only CONNECT BY condition, then it's not really doing that; it's just using the recursive power of CONNECT BY to do something else, such as generate the numbers from 1 to 120, or, in this case, generate the 120 dates after a given date. The result set of such a sub-qeury is typically used as a table later in the query, and it's called a Counter Table , because LEVEL is used to count from 1 to x.
    This is the SQL
    select trunc(dt) createdate, 230 eventcode, 1 isholiday
    from (
    select (trunc(to_date('10/7/2010','mm/dd/yyyy')) + level) dt from dual
    connect by level<= 120
    where to_char(dt,'dy') in ('sat','sun')
    and dt between to_date('10/7/2010','mm/dd/yyyy') and to_date('10/14/2010','mm/dd/yyyy')
    This code is supposed to be identifying weekend days between a start and end time with an event code (230) and it seems to work unless I use a weekend date (10/9/2010 or 10/10/2010) as the start time. LEVEL starts at 1, and increases, so, by adding LEVEL to the given date, the dates generated will all be after the given date.
    Usually people want to generate dates on or after a given date, so they subtract 1 from LEVEL.
    I also dont understand where the value 120 came from. That makes two of us.
    My guess is that someone thought the query would be used for periods of a week or two, as specified in the BETWEEN condition. The programmer may have thought "I probably won't need to generate more than 14 days, but maybe somebody will want a whole month, so I'll make it count up to 31. Aw, heck, I'll make it 120, then they can do a whole quarter, or more."
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.Here's how I would write that query:
    WITH     all_dates     AS
         SELECT     first_date + LEVEL - 1     AS dt
         FROM     (
                   SELECT     TO_DATE ( '10/07/2010'
                             , 'MM/DD/YYYY'
                             )          AS first_date
                   ,     TO_DATE ( '10/14/2010'
                             , 'MM/DD/YYYY'
                             )          AS last_date
                   FROM    dual
         CONNECT BY     LEVEL <= 1 + last_date - first_date
    SELECT     dt
    ,     230     AS eventcode
    ,     1     AS isweekend
    FROM     all_dates
    WHERE     TO_CHAR ( dt
              , 'Dy'
              , 'NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE=ENGLISH'
              )      IN ('Sat', 'Sun')
    ;The first_date parameter only has to be hard-coded once, and that date is included in the results.
    Notice the CONNECT BY clause is now gererating only the rows it might need, not some arbitrary number of rows, most of which will probably be eliminated by a WHERE clause later on. The use of first_date and last_date makes the code self-documenting, but there's no reason you can't add claifying comments as well.

  • How to understand this strange code?

    Hi,everyone
    When I analysing the petstore source code ,I find it very difficult to understand the following code,who can help me?please send email to [email protected]
    thank you!
    public XMLFilter setup(XMLReader reader) throws PopulateException {
    return new XMLDBHandler(reader, rootTag, XML_INVENTORY) {
    public void update() throws PopulateException {}
    public void create() throws PopulateException {
    createInventory(getValue(XML_ID), getValue(XML_QUANTITY, 0));
    return;
    }

    This function is returning an anonymous class.
    This new class is constructed and defined on the fly in this code.

  • Strange Code Sample without method name

    I have come across this code sample in a test. I answered that, it gives compile errors, coz theres a block of code without any method name, which prints "nothing".
    But I tried to compile and run it, which put me in surprise. It compiled and executed. I did not understand how it worked and whats the concept behind this.
    Can anyone dig into details or share knowledge if already know this.
    Heres the code:
    public class Test1
         public static void main(String args[]){
              new Test1();
              System.out.println("main...");
              new Test1("2222");
         Test1(){
              System.out.println("in constr 1");
         Test1(String s){
              System.out.println("in constr 2 :" + s);
              System.out.println("nothing...");
         static{
              System.out.println("static...");
    }

    >      {
              System.out.println("nothing...");
         static{
              System.out.println("static...");
         }Those are initializer blocks; The static block is executed when the
    class has been loaded; the first block is executed just before a
    constructor for that class is called.

  • Strange code to me   :  )

    Hi!
    I came across this code and In this code, a part I've never seen used in this way before ......... " - idealSize"
    Is this "loading" the "().getLength() " ??
    public class LimitOutFile {
        /** Creates a new instance of LimitOutFile */
        public LimitOutFile() {
            final int idealSize = 10000;
            final int maxExcess = 8000;
            int excess = AddRFSwitchMain.jTextArea1.getDocument().getLength() - idealSize;
              if (excess >= maxExcess) {
                  AddRFSwitchMain.jTextArea1.replaceRange("", 0, excess);
                  System.out.println("DELETED SOME OUTPUT !!!");
    }can someone enlighten me on this usage?
    Thanks!

    It's getting the document, then getting that document's text, then getting that text's length, then subtracting ideal size from that.
    "Excess is length minus ideal size."
