Strange - oledb data source preview shows results, but running results in 0 records

So I have this as a command of a OLEDB source, and the preview shows a sample result set. Mappings are correct, builds with no errors etc. Works fine in SSMS. However, when I run this Dataflow task in SSIS, I get NOTHING. Huh?
Here is the query

I think the data source has been opened by others you can make sure that the data file has been in closed state.

After I configured subscriptions with many monitors, error alerts appear at SCOM(scom 2012 r2) console in active alert page.
I googled it and found some topics at TechNet but I could not figure it out. Alert description is shown below

As I understand, this issue occurs and remains after I configure a subscription with too many rules and/or monitors( i.e al available rule and/or monitor of a management pack).
After I had deleted those subscription with many rule/monitor, this issue was resolved.

Hi, We recently started getting these errors a couple times a day. There are 12 of them in total. We also have exactly 12 subscriptions. Does this indicate some db issue causing all of these
to fail?

ODBC data sources not showing up in datasource selection list

when I go to change datasources for a report, newly created ODBC connections do not show up. I noticed they are all in the odbc.ini file and listed under ODBC in the machine directory/software folder in the registry but not under the current user/software/odbc registry folder. Where does Business Objects/Crystal reports cache this information?

OK, then how do I set up a connection pool for a SQL Server database? At some point, I have to configure a connection pool. In the Call Interface dropdown, isn't ODBC the proper choice? Then, in the Data Source name dropdown, I should get some entries, right?

Oracle Data Source not showing proposal fields

Hi, I need to create a DB Connect - Oracle Data Source. I go to the table / view matchcode, and I find the view we created for this data source, and in Proposal it doesn't bring any fields. I press the refresh button, and nothing happens.
Any idea what this could be??

HI
Change the data in the Flat file for Date field in the format YYYYMMDD. Then try viewing the Preview.
If it still shows error message like your system format does not match, Check the System date format, you can check in SU01-->defaults tab, change the data in the flat file with your system format and check.

Change Data Source not showing tables (in the taget drop down) that begin with "SYSTEM"

I am trying to change the data source to a database table that is named someschema.SYSTEM_XXX_XXX but none of my tables that are named SYSTEM_....... are in the combo box list of the taget tables (Change Data Source) dialog. I have tried this on several database with the same results. Are you filtering out tables that begin with system ?

This issue has been resolved in the latest hot fix for CR4E. Data source activated in RSA5 but error in RSA3

Hi,
I have activated data source 0CRM_OPPT_H in transaction RSA5 in our CRM system and can view this in RSA6. However when I run the extractor checker RSA3, the system generates error ( "Errors occurred during the extraction Message no. RJ012").
Upon debugging I found that this is caused by not having entry in table SMOXHEAD_S for this data source.
Also when I go to transaction BWA1 I am not able to display this data source. Other master data sources that I activated earlier are working fine. Its the transaction data source 0CRM_OPPT_H or 0CRM_OPPT_I that are having issue.
Please let me know any other steps that I may not be doing after activating the Business content data source in CRM system using transaction RSA5.

Thanks again for your super fast reply. This really solved my issue.
However for may days I have been trying to understand this BWA transaction ( BWA1 and BWA5) and figured out some fact( Like BWA5 puts the same entry of smxhead table to snmxhead_s table to make the whole thing work, Also we can extend the mapping in the BWA1 to include additional custom object with out the badi coding( is it possible?) .
But this area still is a mystery and I would like to have a comprehensive article on this adapter layer and BDOC relationship. Is this possible for you to help here.

How are you trying to edit?
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Capture and Save SQL Command that Ran in OLEDB Data Source

My company is using SSIS to occasionally generate a file that is then being loaded into a transactional system. At this point, things are not fully automated; the SQL query that is used for the data source is manually altered, SSIS is run, and the
file is uploaded to the other system. Every time the SSIS package runs, a log entry is created with summary information.
I'm wondering: is it possible to capture the SQL command that runs in the data source, and save it with the log entry as part of the package run? This would provide an accurate historical record of what filters were applied to the data that was loaded
to the transactional system.
Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

You can schedule this query to run in 2-3 second and can capture the T-SQL and insert into a table.

OBIEE - Filter SQL Expression Not Working At All - Shows SQL But Not Result

Im at my wits end for this
I have a report where I am using a filter with a simple SQL expression
cast ( timestampadd(SQL_TSI_YEAR, -1, Cast(Cast(DATE '@{pv_as_of_date}{2013-04-01}' AS CHAR) AS TIMESTAMP) ) as DATE)So an end user may input a date and this is passed into the filter via a variable
pv_as_of_date
This is defaulted to 2013-04-01
I want to subtract 1 year to make the end result
2012-04-01
When I run the report I am seeing two issues
1) When displaying the filter at the bottom, I see the full SQL code. Shouldnt this show the date returned? In this case shouldnt the filter show 2012-04-01?
2) The filter does not even work which is my bigger problem
I tested the above code in a column and I KNOW that the date is being returned as expected
But when I use the same SQL code in the filter then it doesnt work
Am I missing some special button some where to enable SQL expressions?

So I was able to find an option "Protect Filter" that seemed to make a bit of difference and I got the date part working after using the above corrected code (thanks)
But now I want to add in the rest of my filter conditions and it does not seem to be liking it

Reg: Infotype 0015 data is not showing in payroll run

I have an issue as below:
I have an employee where IT 0001 Contract field is: Hourly paid employee is maintained,
and IT - Wage(Basic salary - hourly) amount 100 SD.
When i maintain custom wage in IT and in Number/units field as 5 HOURS.
Now when i run payroll and check in CRT Table, system has to show the amount of hours maintained in IT but it is showing only hours.
Calculation has to happen as per below
Based on IT 0001 Contract field as hourly paid employee and also IT 0008 Basic salary- Hourly wage amount, system has to multiply hours maintained in IT and show the amount.
Wage amount DESIGNED * 5 hours = 500 SD , should be shown under amount column.
Please advise me why amount is not showing in CRT Table.

Prints with wrong font and drops letters. Preview shows font correctly.

I'm having problems printing some pdfs in Leopard. The preview shows correctly but the resulting printout is in the wrong font and has missing letters. Specifically every time there are two 'f' in sequence they get left out.
Printing the same files on Tiger or even (Sigh) Windows yield the correct result. I've tested this with 3 printers (OKI C5800, Canon iR5000 and Canon iR C2620N). All with the same result.
The pdf in question were created with LaTeX.
Has anybody experienced something similar? What could be wrong?
I can provide the sample .pdf file if necessary.

After upgrading to Leopard, I was having trouble with my Samsung printer (ML-2150). Samsung hasn't upgraded the driver since OS 10.3, and it doesn't seem likely that they will ever do it. I found that the Linux-Foundation has an open source driver, which is compatible with a lot of printers. I downloaded the three components, and my Samsung is working perfectly now.

Data source doesn't show porper data while flat file data loading

Hi Experts,
I am trying to load data from flat file for info object 0GL_ACCOUNT. I have created an application component and data source.
My question is after loading text data in the corresponding data source, it shows only few characters of the actual data.
For Ex. in my original data i have G/L account name "Comp Hardware Purchase" but after loading into the data source it shows only "Comp Hardwa".
I want to show the whole name "Comp Hardware Purchase ". I know there is some text length problem but i couldn't find it. What steps i need to follow?
Please help.

HI Niranjan,
Go to your data source and check whether the field and infoobject are having the same lenght. If the infoobject lenght is less than your field lenght wihc is coming from Flat file then such issue occur.
Search for your flatfile datasource and and doubel clik on the datasource and check the fileds tabs, there you will have the mapping or you can also check your Transfer or Update rules of the target.

5508 pair show "Down" as data sources for Netflow

I've setup my 5508s to monitor and export netflow to Cisco Prime Infrastructure but no data populates in the expected tabs. When I check Admin-> Data Sources they show up as "down", while other netflow exporters (ASA1000s I used to test) show as "up". I verified in the WLC CLI that they are exporting flows. Thoughts?
WLC show flow exporter stat:

you will encounter moving forward. You will likely want to make the 5508 the
primary controller with an eye on moving away from the 4400 at some point
