Stuck on blinking white light no access

Hola
En el 2013 compre un disco WDMC de 3 TB y primero funcionó bien pero despues empezo a tener el problema de quedarse pasmado y prender el led en blanco "blinking white light", contacte a soporte técnico y esto fue lo que me dijeron:
Dear Gregorio Castaneda,
Thank you for contacting Western Digital Customer Service and Support.
Try to do a reset in the disk, pressing the RESET button in the back of the network disk for 4 seconds, after the reset the data do not get lost only the user name and password changes back to user name "admin"; without password or with the password: "password", the name of the drive changes back to WD My Cloud and the IP configuration changes back to automatic DHCP.
If you have any other questions or concerns please respond to this email and we will be happy to assist you.
Sincerely,

Claro que eso no funciono por que el problema esta en el firmware.
He logrado que funcione mi disco (a medias) deshabilitando las siguientes funciones:
1. Deshabilitar "Acceso Remoto"
2. Deshabilitar "Unidad en reposo"
3. Deshabilitar "Servicio DLNA"

Saludos.

  • I'm getting blinking white light and the TV shows a graphic that is the ATV box and HDMI cable. I changed the HDMI cable with the same result.. What gives?

Blinking white light HDMI graphic on TV... That's it, nothing else. What can I do?

The ATV is telling you it needs to be plugged into your computer and restored through iTunes.
Here is the Apple support page.
    Hope this helps.

  • MacPro3,1 (2008) gets a blinking white light but sometimes does start up, what's going on?

    Hello,
I've got a MacPro3,1 (2008 model) that up until 3 days ago was working fine.
I haven't moved the Mac from its physical location, haven't installed any new hardware or even connected any new devices to it but upon restarting I now get a blinking white LED light and no video.
So I looked around the forums and most results pointed towards bad ram, since I've got 16GB of ram 8 dimms 2GB each it took a while to reseat them all properly but even after reseating them I still get the same issue. A calmly blinking white LED light of the power button (1sec interval).
The odd thing is that none of the riser cards show any of the usual red lights that would turn on if the ram was faulty/not set properly, and then once I force the computer to turn off holding the power button and turn it on again, sometimes the Mac will start up again (not all the time, it may take 3-5 tries).
Does anyone have a clue on why this would always happen when restarting/starting the Mac but that it would then take a force shutdown and a few tries and then starts up again?
Also, during the startup (when it does startup) the Mac won't accept any keyboard input (to try bring up the hardware test or go into the boot manager or even resetting the PRAM by holding ALT+SHIFT+R+P is not possible).

The following table lists the new tones and their meaning:
    Tone(s)
    Description
    1 tone, a 5-second pause, repeat
    No RAM installed
    3 successive tones, a 5-second pause, 3 successive tones
RAM does not pass data integrity check
1 long tone when holding down the power button
Firmware upgrade in process. SeeAbout firmware updates for Intel-based Macs for more details.
3 long tones, 3 short tones, 3 long tones
Firmware restoration from CD in process. See About the Firmware Restoration CD (Intel-based Macs) for more details.
The iMac from this article tends to sound tones, The Mac Pro just flashes the light. The information conveyed is the same.

  • What to do when ps4 has blinking white light?

Ok I turned my ps4 on last night, the watchdogs disc had been in there so selected to play it and nothing happened! I could not navigate the menu, everything froze, so tried ejecting the disc and it just beeped. I tried pressing the on off button on console then it just went to flashing white light continuously! I tried pressing the button again, disc eject, nothing! In the end I cut the power! Turned console back on, rebuilt database and then was greeted by message saying don't cut power before shutdown, but what the heck was I supposed to do?

    Thank you! YOU ARE AWESOME

  • HT4362 How do I fix my Apple TV, it doesn't work after 2013 upgrade. I only have a blinking white light . What is bricking?

How do i fix my Apple TV after the sept 2013 upgrade?  Can I get it back to the way it was?  I shouldn't have to buy a USB cord for it apple did this to my applet tv not me!

No you shouldn't have to buy a USB to microUSB cable I agree, it should have been in the box.
Unfortunately though that's what you need.
Personally I would take it to a nearby Apple store, if you don;t have one contact support and complain.

  • Just a SIMPLE query: No blinking/pausing white light when asleep?

    Hello all.
Just got my new Intel iMac, very cool. I've set the mac to Display Sleep only and no HD sleep, when the screen goes black, there is no blinking white light at the lower right corner of the iMac, unlike my 1st gen G5 version.
How would I know then for sure, that my iMac is asleep and not shut down?
    Thanks and cheers

It would have been nice, if the black Apple for example would glow slightly, but no. There is no way of knowing it, other than pressing some key on keyboard. If it wakes up... Oops, it was sleeping. If it doesn't, then it is shut down (or otherwise unwilling to co-operate with you).
I wonder, if this really is some environmental issue. Powering off your computer uses less electricity? If so, that is good, because climate change has struck again: Another christmas in a row without snow here in southern Finland...

  • ATV 2 stopped working. The connections are good, the remote is paired and working, but the menus come and go off sporadically, and the white light just blinks continuously.

I bought ATV 2 about two weeks ago.  The setup was easy and I set up my Home Sharing, screensavers, and I was watching Netflix within about 20 minutes.  I had a good week of no trouble and enjoyed the device immensely.  I updated the software when prompted and continued to watch movies and play music.  Then something happened: in the middle of viewing, ATV 2 stopped working, the screen went blank, and the little white light started blinking slowly.  When this happens, the ATV manual "troubleshooting" section merely says, "Apple TV is having problems."  ***?  Strangely, it would come on and act fine for a few moments as if nothing happended (for only a minute or two), then click off again.
I attempted to RESET the device by using the Down/Menu combo -- nothing -- the white light blinks really fast but still no picture on the TV (just the Apple logo); I unplugged it and plugged it back in -- no fix; then, I RESTORED the device and had to re-enter Apple and Netflix account info, passwords, set up shared photo folders, etc.  Afterwards, it worked.  I watched movies right where I left off and went on with life until a few days ago when I wanted to finish a movie... The movie was going fine - no problems at all - until ATV 2 stopped working again!
So, the remote works [it is paired and sends commands as it should], the HDMI connection to HDTV is fine, the stereo receiver connection is fine (for audio, using an optical cable).  But the only thing on the TV is the Apple logo.  Resetting ATV 2 doesn't work; and I could restore it again but that seems like a HUGE waste of time, and something I am not prepared to do each time I want to use the device.
What could be the cause?  Wireless interferrence, software/update flaws, need for firmware, or malfunctioning hardware?   ATV 2 is a $100 paperweight until I get answers.

After some sleuthing online, reading a compilation of Q&As here, and visiting the local Apple Store, I think the problem and "solution" may be found in HOW my ATV2 is connected to my stereo.  For some reason that I have not figured out, when the RECEIVER either switches from one setting to another, it somehow disrupts the ATV.
The ORDER of how you turn ATV on and off is key.  If you start with everything OFF (ATV, HDTV, stereo Receiver), then turn on the receiver, then turn the HDTV, put the TV to the input setting that is connected to the ATV, THEN turn on the ATV by hitting the Play button on the remote.
Note: The ATV light may come on once the HDTV is turned on and put to the correct setting, but you will not see a picture on your TV yet.
You should be up and running on ATV (without having to reset, unplug or restore). Apparently, I was using my universal remote that essentially turned everything (HDTV, Onkyo Receiver and, by extension, the ATV) on at the same time, confusing ATV and causing that evil blinking white light.  The ATV connection was lost.
When you are done with ATV, you must put ATV to sleep FIRST... each time. The command is on the main menu, to the far right, at the bottom [Sleep Now].  Once you press Sleep Now, the ATV will go off.  THEN you can turn your receiver/HDTV off (or to whatever other setting you want for watching regular tv, music, etc.).  I was simply switching my HDTV and Receiver 'away' from ATV when I was done... But I would return to a blinking light and no ATV.  The solution above is a work-around that seems to do the trick.
The thing Apple needs to fix is to make the "Sleep Now" command a simple process on the remote so you don't have to back out of everything you were watching to get to the main menu for the Sleep Now command. Or in the next update Apple merely needs to improve ATV2 so it can work no matter what order you open or close it on a HDTV/Stereo.
Note: Other people have suggested that you just hit the select or Menu button to put ATV to sleep, but that did NOT work for me.
I figured this out through trial and error so I hope it works for you too.

  • WRT1900ac internet connectivity problem, internet light blinking white!!!!?

So my wrt1900ac has been blinking white starting tonight. I logged into the router and did a router reboot. That didnt work, then I rebooted my modem still didnt work.
After all that I did a factory reset to my wrt1900ac which was a big mistake cause now my wrt1900ac WILL NOT set back up. It keeps getting stuck on detecting internet.
So I did a factory reset on my modem which is c1000a, and after the factory reset my modem works fine connects to wifi no problem what so ever. I put my modem back into transparent bridge mode, and tried to re-setup my router. Once again the wrt1900ac internet light just blinks white and will not connect even though my modem works perfectly fine can someone help me out please??
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Disconnect the router from the modem and login via IP Address 192.168.1.1. If you can't check the gateway address of the IP address your router gives your device. The default gateway is the router ip address. It can change if the router detects an IP address conflict.

  • Compaq Laptop CQ60-615DX Little white light beside the dc jack blinking repeatedly non-stop

Compaq Laptop CQ60-615DX white light next to where you plug in the power cable keeps blinking. Never stops Blinking. Computer doesn't power on.
The DC jack is loose, took the laptop apart, pressed down on the dc jack to hold it in place, and stuck the power cable back in. Tried to wiggle the cable around to see if the jack is bad. But it feels pretty solid, it's just the housing holding the dc jack in place that's broken.
But I'm still getting the little white light beside the dc jack blinking repeatedly non-stop. No system power.
    Question is.
    1. Is the DC power jack bad and needs to be replaced or.
    2. There is a short in the motherboard and the motherboard needs to be replaced.
I have check all over the internet for what the white light blinking means. I've found no answer.
Could someone please tell me what is wrong with this computer?

I already encouted this problem yesterday and I want to share this information on how I was able to fix this issue where in the dc jack blinking repeatedly and the laptop wont turn on.  This issue is resulted due to overheat so laptop automatically shutdown and results to some kind of hibernation.
    1. First you need to dissamble your laptop (compaq cq60). To clean the exhaust fan. I cleaned it because it was very dirty. I used my laptop for almost five years. If you dont know how to dissamble your laptop, you can check the tutorial from youtube. Just be very careful.
    2. After Removing all the parts you can use a brush to remove all the dust inside your laptop. After cleaning all the dirt inside the laptop you need to let the motherboard cool for 1 to 1.5 hrs.
    3. When you put the dc jack dont put the battery. So once you plugged the DC jack you can see if the light beside the jack still blinking or steady.
    4. Once the light is steady., you can now power on your laptop. and a message will appear that your laptop overheated.
    5. You can use cooling fan to prevent from heating.
    6. Clean the parts inside your laptop every half year. to remove dust that cause the exhaust fan not to work properly.
Now I was able to use my laptop again.
    Best Regards to All!

  • I changed my imac hd setting to no access and then i restarted it. Now, im stuck on a white screen, what do i do? I can't even enter my password.

I was playing around with my imac (because im an idiot), and i clicked on computer. I decided to change my macintosh hd setting the last one (can't remeber if it was everyone or something else) to no access (it was on read only). After i did that i couldn't click anything, i tried to change it back but it wouldn't open the computer page for my so i couldn't click on the macintoch hd. I pressed the start button on the back until it shut off. I waited for 10 seconds and then i started it up again. It opened on the grey page with the apple logo and then it went to the white screen i waited for the page to change so i could enter in my password but it never came up. It's just stuck on the white page. I'm freaking out right now, i don't think i have my files backed up, but right now i could careless as long as my mac works. It's the iMac 21 inch screen and OS X Lion but i've done software update. Any ideas?

  • Sometimes I cannot get my apple tv to work after being in sleep mode. I then have to turn the power on and off to make it work. Note the white light will come one when I try and wake it up. But, the light will not blink.

Most of the time when I wake up my apple tv, the white light will come on, but will not blink when I have this problem.  I then have to pull the plug and then put the plug back in the socket, then it will work.

How long have you had it? If it is still under warranty, you can have Apple help you out completely. If it is not under warranty, Apple might still be able to send you articles to assist you in this manner. Check "Contact Us" on any page at the bottom.

  • A beeping sound, along with a little white light blinking on/off on my MacBook Pro?

My MacBook Pro is making a loud beeping sound along with a little white light blinking on and off at the bottom of the keyboard. None of the keys are working so I do not have the ability to shut it down. Any idea how to stop the beeping sound?

Apple One to One is a paid service which has to be purchased when the computer is purchased.

Appointments at the Genius Bar however are free (evaluation, troubleshooting, etc) - repairs would have to be paid for if out of warranty.

  • Apple TV status light blinking white

My apple TV status light is blinking white and the TV gets no signal.  I have re-booted the apple tv and it gives me the sign to plug it into iTunes.  I cannot do that as it has no USB connection so I am bit lost.  I also have no idea how to tell which  generation Apple TV I have.  I have had it for a few years and finally had a reason to use it.  I am pretty sure it is a 2G, but I am not sure.  It worked when I initially set it up for a few minutes then required a software upgrade and everything went downhill after that.  Any suggestions?  Is it garbage?

I cannot do that as it has no USB connection
Yes it does.  Its on the back.
The upgrade process failed for some reason.  It just needs to be connected to iTunes via a USB cable so iTunes can manually install the firmware.

A non-responsive device is a scary place to be. Let's see if we can get that to respond to you again. Disconnect the phone from the USB port. Press and hold the Volume down button (located on the right edge). While continuing to hold Volume down, press and hold the Power button until the device powers off and the notification stops(approximately fifteen seconds) then release all buttons. If the device does not power back on automatically within a minute press the power button for 3 to 5 seconds as you normally would to power back on. Let us know whether or not you get the device back in business.
