Student Discount...... been charged for Premium.

Help!  I had student discount and then I noticed that I was charged the full amount this month.  I had a lapse of two weeks of getting my new student card as I was on holiday.  I have tried to change my account from Premium to Student, but it won't accept it.  Do I need to cancel my subscription first and then go for a month free trial then do the student bit again?  Why can't I just put in my student card, and why has it charged me double? Getting really frustrated and thinking of just cancelling the lot...... Thanks for your help. 

Hello teresa, to re-enroll for the student discount you do need to cancel your current premium subscription, and then re-enroll into the student discount program. The student pricing will then take effect next month. 
The double charge you encured, was it placed at the exact same time? If that's the case, then one of those charges is a holding charge, and will clear once payment is processed. If you have two charges on the same day, then you most likely clicked the subscribe button twice, and bought two months of premium. You can confirm this by seeing when your card will be charged again on your subscription page. If the charges were on two seperate days, then you most likely have a second account, and will need to get in touch with support. Note that if you receive an automated email directing you to the community and/or help boards, make sure you reply directly to that email (even if it is from a no reply address) and support will get back to you as soon as possible.

    I suggest you use this online contact form. When you get an automatic email sending you to the community, make sure that you reply back to that so you get in touch with one of the staff. You should hear from them in 24-48 hours.

  • Student Discount, Double Charges, and Mediocre Support

    I have been using spotify for quite some time now. I have paid my fair share of 9.99/mo, and quite frankly, I don't mind paying money to avoid someone or something blaring obnoxiously in my ear every 45 seconds. The one thing that did, and still does, irk me beyond words was when I attempted to sign up for the $4.99/mo deal for twelve months, I was not given the 4.99 rate for a full twelve months...but that was a while ago, and I had since gotten over it...until... Today I attempted to renew the 12 month $4.99 deal and was not only charged once, but twice; both charges appear on my bank statement and not at all on my Spotify Account Receipts. It gets better, though...I wasn't even given the promised upgraded features, and after reading some fine print (lovely) I noticed that I could reuse this offer 4 times (just as long as I am still enrolled in my accredited university, which I am). So, after realizing that Spotify doesn't have a support number, but rather a bulletin board and more-or-less a system to send complaints to, here I am, posting, hoping that I can get reimbursed the money I was charged. Thanks,A very frustrated customer.

    The student discount  must be renewed each year.
    You need to first cancel your current Premium, and once you revert back to Free, you may resubscribe to the student discount.
    Now for the refund, you might want to contact support directly here so they can help you. Keep in mind they will decide your eligibility for the refund.
    If you receive an automated email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.
    Support usually answers within 24-48 hours.

    Everything Pack is meant to give me Unlimited Texts but, on 28/07/15, I have been charged for texts to wife and son mobiles. Not happy. No point trying to find out via Twitter or Facebook as they won't tell you anything. No Live Chat facility.

    I'm really sorry to hear about this - let me see if I can help, or at least point you in the right direction.  So, you may want to contact the EE Customer Service team over the phone, if you don't think Twitter or Facebook will be able to resolve this for you. I'm not sure why you would have been charged - unless it was a premium service, for example you were texting a charity to make a donation, but I can see you say it was just your wifes & sons mobile number, so yeah... contacting EE directly is probably the best course of action.     First, sorry for my terrible English.
    1, Yesterday, I purchased the 800mins China subscription(order No. [removed for privacy]) yesterday and incorrectly purchase another 400mins China subscription(order No. [removed for privacy]) 3 minutes later than that 800mins one. So, I have been charged for both of these 2 orders and I just want to keep the 800 mins one. Is there anything I can do to have the refund back for that 400mins one which I absolutely want to cancel?
    2. Yesterday, I purchased a 60mins Hong Kong subscription(order No. [removed for privacy]), however, right now it seems like I cannot use it. My current minutes are still 0 . I think that might caused buy my previous 3 month's Hongkong 60mins order. So, I want to cancel this yesterday's one (order No. [removed for privacy]) and have the refund.   • I have been charged for my 'free' Education £70 gift card

    I bought a macbook air i7 haswell, 256GB flash drive, 8GB from apple using the education discount.
    It said I would receive a free £70 gift voucher as part of this deal they have which expires on september the 6th.
    I just received my bank statement and it shows me being charged in 2 installments:
    70.00 - This is taken out the day the gift voucher was dispatched.
    1080.80   - I assume this is for the Macbook Air.
    Why have I been charged for a 'free' education gift card??

    You say you've been charged almost 13 dollars right?
    It seems like you are subscribed to Spotify through the in-app payments.
    Your subscription is being handled by Apple.
    You'll need to cancel directly from the App Store in order to stop getting charged monthly.
    Just follow these steps to cancel your subscription:
    Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
    Tap on iTunes & App Store.
    Tap on your Apple ID at the top.
    Choose View Apple ID from the popup menu.
    Enter your password when prompted and tap on OK.
    Tap on Manage under Subscriptions .
    Tap on the Spotify subscription.
    Turn the Auto-Renewal option to Off.

    You cannot call anyone.  You contact them as everyone else does:  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
    You delete the app as you do any other app.  Hold an icon until they wiggle.  Tap the "x".  This is covered in the manual.

    Sounds like you need a new battery.  Take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.

    Using the Egg vs Chicken app yesterday I tried to purchased a bucket of stars in the app for $15.99, however, the stars didn't appear but I have been charged for them, twice! How do I go about getting a refund or getting the stars?

    - Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

    Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
