Style a column in an IRR

Hi,
I want to style a column in an interactive report ( i want the right border 4px solid black)
For the column header this works with .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA th#column_name
Ho to apply this to the data of the column??
Apex version 4.2.1

Hi Fac,
Thanks a lot,
there is a group by in my IR, it needs some customization like this
td[headers="SALDO_U BREAK_RAPP_ID_DIENSTJAAR_PERIODE_KREDIETBEHEERDER_4"]
The header is repeated, after that i see the header is changed to "SALDO_U BREAK_RAPP_ID_DIENSTJAAR_PERIODE_KREDIETBEHEERDER_5"
Is it possible to make the number dynamic in the css.You can use:
td[headers^="SALDO_U BREAK_RAPP_ID_DIENSTJAAR_PERIODE_KREDIETBEHEERDER_"]
//everything that starts with SALDO_U BREAK_RAPP_ID_DIENSTJAAR_PERIODE_KREDIETBEHEERDER_Vikram

  • Using Column Value in CSS Style for Column in Report

    I am trying to apply a CSS style (background color) to a column in a report based on another column.
    So for the Column attributes for a specific column, I would like to be able to add this to the 'CSS Style' Field under the group, "Column Formatting":
    background-color:#BKG_COLOR#;
    It doesn't seem to be taking my column value, which is #daf2ea
    In the CSS Style Field, if I change it to: background-color:#daf2ea - then it works.
    So it doesn't seem to take my column value of #BKG_COLOR" in the CSS Style field.
    Any ideas? Do I need to use the 'HTML Expression' field instead, and how would I do that?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi,
    that's correct, custom report templates will do.
    I find them sometimes quite limited, though. And I always ask myself "how would I do it without APEX", because there's often a lean jQuery solution that affords less coding.
    If you employ a so called "marker class" that depends on your colour value, you could begin like in the previous answer and enter the follwing into HTML Expression:
    <span class="#BKG_CLASS#">#THE_COLUMN_I_WANT_TO_SHOW#</span>
    That means you would not query a plain color, but some name that can act as a CSS marker, like
    select THE_COLUMN_I_WANT_TO_SHOW
          , case when THE_COLUMN_I_WANT_TO_SHOW > 100 then 'hotColor' else 'coldColor' end as BKG_CLASS
      from my_tableIn the page's Function and Global Variable Declaration, you'd enter
    function colorMyReport () {
      apex.jQuery('.hotColor').closest('td').css('background-color','#FAA');
    }And under Execute when Page Loads, you enter:
    colorMyReport();There's only one challenge, of course, when the report is paged via AJAX, because the script would only run once (on the first page shown).
    But if this is a solution for you, I'd be pleased to show you how to overcome this. Just let me know.
    Hope there is no typo in my typing, because I have to catch my train now :-)
    Bye!

  • Best way to style a column in an interactive report?

    Since I'd rather not do it directly in the SQL used to populate the report, can someone suggest a clean way to style all cells of a given column from an interactive report? Perhaps all cells of interest can be addressed through jquey using the "headers" attribute they share?

    Oh, and I'd also like to make the vertical separations between cells aparent if possible....Please try this one:
    .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA TD {border-style:ridge;border-color:#98bf21;
    border-width:3px;}For more details please visit:

  • CSS Style (report column attributes) not working

    I found the CSS Style settings for a report column only seem to work if using a "Standard Report Column". Since the report is wider than the screen, some columns are wrapping, making the report not-that-nice readable.
    Unfortunately I have the need to define some report columns where undesired wrapping occurs as "Display as Text (based on LOV, does not save state)" and tried to avoid wrapping using "white-space:nowrap;" or specifying a fixed width, but it seems I'm out of luck - is there a way around this (other than performing the report query using a huge DECODE clause and setting the column to "Standard Report Column" again, which somewhat renders the LOV useless except for the select list on the data entry form)? This is happening on APEX 3.12.
    Furthermore - is this expected behaviour?
    Thanks in advance,
    Holger

    Furthermore - is this expected behaviour?Looks like it, or it is a [long-standing bug|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1126613]. I've tried it (although only have access to APEX 3.0 at present) and none of the CSS class/style/custom attributes from Column Formatting or Tabular Form Element are being applied. If it's not a bug then it should be raised as an enhancement request.
    In the meantime you'll need to work round it.
    other than performing the report query using a huge DECODE clause Is that necessary due to a static LOV? If it's dynamic based on a table/view then get the look-up value in the query via a join or scalar subquery so you have a Standard Report Column and can use the CSS class/style/custom attributes from Column Formatting.
    Alternatively, stick with the Display as Text from LOV and create a custom named column report template using [colgroup/col|http://reference.sitepoint.com/html/colgroup] to specify fixed width columns.

  • Can a style control Columns and Column breaks?

    Good day,
    I am trying something very new and different for me in indesign.
    I am creating a catalog, that the text is being input by importing XML.  I have created styles for each of the tags coming in from the XML.
    but I am currious, Can I tell a style that I would like create a Column. and have my first tag put into the column,  then at the next part of the text I have a column break at the start of the text to move it to the next column?
    I am just trying to learn how to automate as much of this as possible.
    Thank you so much for the help!
    Dave Stabley

    And while you can create an object style that will define the number of columns in a frame (and you can set a fixed width), I'm not sure you can get ID to create new frames when placing XML, but it may be possible (it certainly is with ordinary text files). You have to try, maybe experimenting with Smart Text Reflow.

  • Row highlighting is gone on enabling inline style for columns

    We have a multi-select enabled table on which cusomter wanted to change the color based on row stauts (a column in the table).
    We did it on the column component of the table as background-color:#{row.Status == 'Inactive'? '#A5A5A5': row.Status == 'Draft'?'#D8D8D8':''};
    this works great though as soon as this is done the row highlight color is gone from the table and hence makes it impossible to know which rows are actually selected.
    we are using RUP3 (Rel 4) version of jdev 11.1.1.6.2 version from edelivery.

    To apply that css rules to only one table set property styleClass="MyCustomTable" of the <af:table> and change the above rules for these (note that each rule starts with af|table.MyCustomTable):
    af|table.MyCustomTable::status-message {background-color: #0090c1; color: white; border: 2px #a0b4ba inset;}
    af|table.MyCustomTable::column-resize-indicator {border: 1px solid #51bfff;}
    af|table.MyCustomTable::data-row:selected af|column::data-cell {border-top: 1px solid #00afea; border-bottom: 1px solid #00afea;}
    af|table.MyCustomTable::data-row:selected af|column::banded-data-cell {border-top: 1px solid orange; border-bottom: 1px solid orange;}
    af|table.MyCustomTable::data-row:selected:focused af|column::data-cell {border-top: 1px dashed #00afea; border-bottom: 1px dashed #00afea;}

  • Excel like 'Freeze column header' functionality in sharepoint OOB list view webpart

    Hi,
    I have OOB external list dropped on a page as listview webpart. It contains many records and hence while scrolling down headers are no available, hence it should freeze all column headers while scrolling down the page. Its directly dragged and dropped
    on site page hence no server side formatting can be done.
    Is there any way we can apply some client side script to freeze column headers to listview webpart while scrolling down? or any settings that can be done to acheive this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
    Normal techniques for freezing the header row of an HTML table tend to fall short when it comes to SharePoint 2010 lists due to the lack of THEAD elements.
    You can try something like this, although you may want to test it in various browsers in case the column heading alignment is off.
    <style>
    .ms-viewheadertr{background-color:white;}
    </style>
    <script>
    /* wrap the table in a div, set its height, give it scrollbars, and move it down */
    var myTable = document.querySelector(".ms-listviewtable");
    var wrapperDiv = document.createElement('div');
    wrapperDiv.setAttribute("ID","FreezePaneWrapper");
    wrapperDiv.setAttribute("style","OVERFLOW: auto; HEIGHT: 400px; padding-top:38px;");
    wrapperDiv.appendChild(myTable.cloneNode(true));
    myTable.parentNode.replaceChild(wrapperDiv,myTable);
    /* Freeze the header row and move it up*/
    var headerRow = document.querySelector(".ms-viewheadertr");
    document.getElementById("FreezePaneWrapper").style.width = "" + headerRow.scrollWidth + "px";
    headerRow.style.width = "" + headerRow.scrollWidth + "px";
    headerRow.style.position = "absolute";
    headerRow.style.top = ""+(headerRow.offsetTop-39)+"px";
    /* Tell the header's columns to be the same width as the cells in the first "alternating" row */
    var columns = document.querySelector("table.ms-listviewtable tr.ms-alternating").querySelectorAll("tr>td");
    headers = document.querySelectorAll("tr.ms-viewheadertr th");
    for(var i = 0; i < headers.length; i++){
    if(columns[i].scrollWidth > headers[i].scrollWidth){
    headers[i].style.width = ""+columns[i].scrollWidth + "px";
    }else{
    columns[i].style.width = ""+headers[i].scrollWidth + "px";
    </script>
    Edit: Also, you may want to inspect the HTML attributes on the external list view to be sure the class names match up with the querySelector parameters above. Specifically, the table should have a class of "ms-listviewtable", the header row should
    have a class of "ms-viewheadertr", and rows of alternating background color should have a class of "ms-alternating".
    If any of those are different in your case, you may be able to adjust the above code accordingly.

  • Interactive Report Column Headings and Row Height

    I am using the div style="width:350px;" method to control the width of columns in various interactive reports. That works fine except for the following:
    1. When creating filters, the <div...> stuff shows up along with the actual column heading, thus confusing some end users
    2. Even when I uncheck the "Use same text for single row view" checkbox and then provide a simple single row view label, the <div> stuff still shows up on the single row view
    Does anyone have a better solution?
    Also, does anyone know of a way to limit the row height within an interactive report row? I have some columns of data that contain a large amount of HTML data and I'd like to be able to limit the number of rows that show on the report.
    Is Oracle planning to provide some better control over the Interactive Report columns in another version? The Interactive Report is such a huge improvement in usability in APEX - it would be great to take it to another level by providing some better control over column width and row height.

    Dale,
    Unfortunately we don't have much we can use to do what you would like. I would have said it's impossible until version 4 but you could actually do something similar to what Roel has done. His trick is in the edit button. He changed the edit button to use an "onload" call to a JavaScript process. You could do the same but call a process that goes across the rows and styles each column. Now because you don't have a way to identify the column (can't use the order because the end user could change it) you'll have to write the code to look at the top row first and then style the appropriate column. As far as I can tell, this would be quite difficult and inefficient. Having said that if you need it that bad and would like some help with it, put up an example application on apex.oracle.com and provide the workspace/username/password and I'll take a look.

  • InDesign CS3 crashing adding table style...HELP!!

    This issue started on Friday.  I just starting working on a large document that will have many tables throughout, so I must use the table styles.  Here is the order in which I do things to get the crash.
    Place document from Word in to InDesign document
    Highlight table to be changed
    Convert text using paragraph styles
    Alter column widths to fit page
    Highlight entire table to select table style
    Click desired table style
    CRASH!!!!
    I have tried the following things with NO LUCK:
    Deleted adobefntX file multiple times (actually worked for a couple of hours first time I did it)
    Deleted InDesign preferences (did nothing)
    Re-created all "Styles" in InDesign (Character, Paragraph, Cell, & Table) (Did nothing)
    Changed the order in which I altered the tables text and formatting (thinking it was just a silly order problem)
    Unistalled and Re-installed CS3 (worked for 5 tables and then CRASH)
    Updated ALL software (Adobe and Mac)
    Started up in Safe mode and CRASH!!!
    I realize from seraching for this problem on the web that I am probably the ONLY person having this issue, but I thought it was a font problem until I started in Safe Mode and still crashed.  I am totally confused as to what I should do next.  I am running on a

    I am not familiar with InDesign Interchange, do you think this will help?
    That's why I suggested it. But you didn't answer my question: Is this happening with only one file? The reason I ask is because if one file is corrupted, saving to INX and back to INDD often clears out minor corruptions. If you're seeing this in many files it's unlikely they're all corrupt.
    1. Convert text using paragraph styles - I meant modified "placed" text using character styles
    Now I'm really confused. Your steps are:
    Place document from Word in to InDesign document
    Highlight table to be changed
    Modify placed text using character styles
    Are you really highlighting an entire table and applying a character style? While this will work to modify certain formatting aspects, it's not really the best approach. Character styles are for characters *within* a paragraph. Paragraph styles are for *entire* paragraphs. Each table cell contains at least one full paragraph, even if it's just a single number, a space, even if there's nothing there at all. If you want to format the contents of an entire cell or range of cells with the same formatting, use a paragraph style, not a character style. If you want to italicize one or two words in some text in a cell (the way I just did), then use a character style.
    I really feel that the issue either stems from fonts or from placing the document from Word.
    Could be. Cheap fonts are the cause of many problems in Indesign. Indesign is really picky about fonts. But let's try the easy fix first (INX). If you don't trust it, save the .inx to a new .indd filename (keep your old .indd file as a backup).

    (Appearance when viewing in "layout backgrounds' shows equal padding shift to right to edge of div.gridContainer.clearfix box.)
    Base problem is that the borders on outside of layoutDiv1 (or the column itself) continues to be pusher right, thus misaligning outside borders of three seperate divs; header, menu, and LayoutDiv1.
    Am i missing something in how to contain without borders (full width) being overrun. Or, maybe improper insertion of padding rules?

  • Can the column names be changes dynamically in OBIEE presentation

    Hi,
    Is thr any way through which I can change the column names depending on the value of a column.

    so here according to plan_name the meaning of each character column changes. And I want to display each type of meaning on the presentation layer.

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I haven't tested these options, but you might. Maybe you try to supress the header for your table with data. After that, create a second table, which will be used as the header, and insert the same number of columns as the first table.
    So on the 'header' table, create a conditional style (Criteria, Column Properties, Conditional Formatting), pointing to the values on shown in the first table. (You maybe need the data to be queried in both).
    If this does't work, you can try to adapt the javascript shown in this blog: DELIVER BI OBIEE 11g &amp;amp; 10g , ODI , OBIA: OBIEE Table make a row BOLD with JAVA
    And instead of making the row bold, change the value.
    Hope this helps. Sorry if it does't work.
    Best regards.

  • Styles in report table

    So it doesn't appear that putting a style into the Report: Column: CSS Style does anything. It doesn't override an existing style. As such, how do I custom style a column in a report? I'd like to use the following style to create vertical "sections" in the report. I can't seem to find a way to use it from the styles, and I can't find anything in a reference for how to use it in an inline style.
    td.l {border-left:1px solid black}

    So it doesn't appear that putting a style into the Report: Column: CSS Style does anything. It doesn't override an existing style.No. That property causes the cell value to be generated inside a SPAN element, and the style is applied to this inline element rather than the entire table cell. This has been a problem since the dawn of time, as it's not what anyone actually wants it to do, and Oracle have thus far been immune to enhancement requests to produce the expected behaviour.
    As such, how do I custom style a column in a report? I'd like to use the following style to create vertical "sections" in the report. I can't seem to find a way to use it from the styles, and I can't find anything in a reference for how to use it in an inline style.Vertical breaking of a table in this way is achieved using the COLGROUP/COL elements:
    http://reference.sitepoint.com/html/colgroup
    As this type of column grouping is going to be specific to a single report or family of reports it needs to be implemented in APEX using a custom named-column report template, where the COLGROUPs/COLs can be specified in the template Before Rows property.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/themes.htm#BABFFGG
    Adding suitable CLASS attributes to the COLGROUPs/COLs will enable styles to be applied as desired, such as thicker borders at COLGROUP boundaries (although support for this may not be forthcoming in some browsers: YMMV.)

  • Column flow plugin help

    Hello!
    If someone has experience with Column Flow plugin for InDesign, please help me get started.
    I have made 2 paragraph styles, with names starting with numbers 1 and 2 to indicate number of columns. Unfortunately, plugin just splits text into separate text frames but paragraphs with style named "2xxx" remain in just 1 column.
    Thanx in advance.

    With the version available for download, you need to set  the number
    of columns in the object style.
    Column Flow has been drastically improved ( i.e. there can be any
    number of different column settings, the number does not need to be
    set in the style name, you can use up to four different object styles,
    etc.), but the new version is not yet available on the web site. (The
    documentation needs to be updated, etc.)
    Send me an email and I'll be happy to send you the newest version.
