Column flow plugin help

Hello!
If someone has experience with Column Flow plugin for InDesign, please help me get started.
I have made 2 paragraph styles, with names starting with numbers 1 and 2 to indicate number of columns. Unfortunately, plugin just splits text into separate text frames but paragraphs with style named "2xxx" remain in just 1 column.

With the version available for download, you need to set the number
of columns in the object style.
Column Flow has been drastically improved ( i.e. there can be any
number of different column settings, the number does not need to be
set in the style name, you can use up to four different object styles,
etc.), but the new version is not yet available on the web site. (The
documentation needs to be updated, etc.)

Horizontal column flow in InDesign

Dear all, hapy to discover this forum. I was searching hours on it in order to find a solution, but didn't find anything But I can't imagine that others doesn't deal with a simular problem.
I am working on a kind of encyclopedia. And the system is as follows:
For each name I have 2 columns. And each name is placed below each other (see my image for this, it's a jpg of a spread), separated by a line. But my text area has the stay on each page the same. I was wondering if there is a system to automatically flow from one page to another... So, if there is a text correction and i have to delete some rows, that i can easily repair this?
I tried to paste several horizontal columns in another text area. When I place my cursor before the columns and enter some returns, they move on my fixed baseline grid, but the problem starts when my last column of page 2 have to go to page 3 (i couldn't link the columns inside my text area to each other). Or the entire name is placed to page 3 or nothing. But I can't divide it in two parts (one on p.2 and another on p.3). I hope that I am clear and that someone can help me with this problems. I think my jpg can explain a lot (I don't necessary need a solution for the lines as dividers, these ones I can enter afterwards, which should also take me a lot of time of course).

but i really don't know how to use it...
i have different paragraph styles (one for name; one for date; one for text information), but i just need this 2 column flow for all these paragraph styles.
so, i imported my text in a text area and in my first paragraph style name starts with 2...
but of course all the text is still in 1 column after importing.
do i have to select anything in the column flow settings?
when i select this text area, i can select "flow current page" and so on ... in the plugin men, but this only gives errors...
would be great if anyone can say me what i have to do step by step in my situation.
i guess i am just stupid

Hi I need to create a flow rule that will notify an employee's supervisor when a user updates their own employee record.
So I need to link the LAST_UPDATED_BY of the currently updated record to employee_id from FND_USER
where the FND_USER.USER_ID = <current>.LAST_UPDATED_BY
I'm looking at my Flow Rule Launch Criteria, but I cannot see how I can say....
COLUMN=LAST_UPDATED_BY
CONDITION=Equals
VALUE= <result of my SQL> <==========
It looks like I can only put specific hardcoded values in here ??
Any ideas, or examples for this type of thing?
Is my requirement clear?

In the launch criteria you can specify under the table name FND_USER, Relationship keys would be (USER_NAME, USER_ID)
please check the check box "UPdate" uncheck "Insert"
coming to the columns enter value "LAST_UPDATE_BY" and condition "IS Update"
the value part cannot be updated.
The launch criteria created specifies that when ever the colum Last_update_by of FND_USER is updated the flow rule will get fired.

I had a similar issue with Photoshop when I upgraded to both Snow Leopard and Lion. it turned out to be Rosetta is no longer present in the newer OS. Once I upgraded to Lion, Appleworks stopped working after all these years.

How can I create a document with two columns in which the text in the left hand column flows to the left column on page 2,3 etc, and doesn't interfere with the text I want to place in the right? Pages 5.

I'm using pages 5 and want to comment in a right hand column, on a (latin) text which I wish to place in a left hand column.
Ideally I'd like to be able to copy and paste the latin text and see it flow over into the left hand column on multiple pages.
At the moment it is impossible for me to keep the text only in the left hand column Any help!?

Columns do what columns do, flow from the bottom of the left hand column to the top of the right hand next column. So won't do what you want.
Your tag says you are using OS X 10.5.8 but you say you are using Pages 5 so one or the other is not correct.
If you migrated up to Pages 5 what did you do with your previous Pages '08 or '09?
Because Pages 5 is missing over 100 features, one of which is Textbox linking, that would allow to flow down through a series of Textboxes set up like columns.
What you can do is run the Latin text down a narrow document to the left and add individual Textboxes to the right and put your English translations in those. The Latin will flow but the English will not.

Column Visibility Expression help - SSRS

I have a report in SSRS that has 12 columns. On each column, I have a corresponding column visibility expression like so:
=IIF(InStr(JOIN(Parameters!HideColumns.Value,

Where I have the "01" I change to "02","03","04","05","06","07","08","09","10","11"
& "12" respectfully across my column. The intent is to pass a parameter and allow the end user to "Hide" the column from visibility to allow them the flexibility on printing records. The issue I am having is I need a default that allows
them to not hide anything, meaning print all 12 columns. Right now, its forcing me to pick one column to hide, is there something I could add to this to say, All? Hope this makes sense.

For default value of this parameter(Parameters!HideColumns.Value)
add a value that is not in 01 to 12 .
As an example if you add 13 to the default value of the parameter, than your expression will not hide the column

How to load externl files (PDF) into BLOB column. Please help.

I've currently been working on loading many external binary files (PDF) into BLOB column. After some digging, I learn that the SQL*LOADER can be used to load data from external files into table. I also got help from another forummate mentioning to use PL/SQL procedure to do so. Since I have not done anything like this before. So, my question is what is the simple approach needed to upload PDF files into a table(there is only one table containing BLOB column in my database). In addition, the LOBs can not be query-able, I wanted to list the contents of the LOBs column to make sure that I did successfully upload data into the database. How can I do that?. I do need your help. Please direct me step by step how to do so. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Report changes to new variables in report editor q_invoice itself for example from remit_to_address_id to remit_to_address_id1 , previous_customer_id to previous_customer_id1 and start giving error that original variables e.g. remit_to_address_id , previous_customer_id are not defined in the query. Variable names and xml tags are also different from each other. even after trying to fix it, error persist.

2-Column Flowed Layout Problem

Hi,
In the interest in saving paper and toner, I have begun using 2 column layouts.Here is something I'm working on:
MasterPage1 has 3 content areas (Header, LeftColumn,RightColumn) //restriced to 1 occurance
MasterPage2 has 2 content areas (LeftColumn,RightColumn) //occurances not restricted--used for content overflow from MasterPage1
MasterPage3 has 1 content area //occurances not restricted--NOT used for overflow from above--different content altogether
The Pagination is such that content flows through the LeftColumn,RightColumn content areas in the order shown above. It is slick! Overflow from the RightColumn of MasterPage1 goes to LeftColumn of MasterPage2. So far, so good. Just what I wanted... except
Here is the problem: When the form is first opened, there is no overflow--all the flowed 2-column content fits on MasterPage1. MasterPage2 exists however it doesn't have any content yet because there is no overflow yet from MasterPage1. It's rendered empty--I get an unused MasterPage2, between MasterPage1 & MasterPage3.
In a perfect world, I wouldn't have an empty MasterPage2 when the form opens. In a perfect world, MasterPage2 would only exist when there is content in the MasterPage2.LeftColumn content area.
I think there must be a scripting solution--like testing a content area for content. There are no events for a content area and the xml for a content area is an empty element with attributes for x, y, w, h, name and id.
So how do you test for content in a contentArea? Perhaps there is a different way?

Thanks for the demo. That is interesting--I think it might be possible to solve yours because you are flowing a single object and I think you could determine the total h value for it and control the occurrences of the MasterPage.
Something like setting MasterPage Max Occurance to 1 on the Object pallet
Then, track the combined h

HT1351 The DEVICES heading is not showing in my library column...help????

I am unable to sync my ipod with new songs that I have just downloaded because the "DEVICES" heading is NOT showing in the left hand column under the Library (where everything is listed while in itunes).
I have tried to call for help, but I was told I needed to pay a 19.99 fee for the tech support- which is rediculous in my opinion since I paid for the ipod, paid for the songs, paid for the laptop, shouldn't the tech support be included in there for free?
Anyway, my question IS....what happened to the DEVICES heading? How do i get it back? How am I to sync my music?

It is for 90 days from the date you purchased your iPod, or for two years if you purchased the AppleCare extended coverage for it.
The "Devices" header will only appear if the iPod you're connecting is recognized, which apparently it is not. This may help:

I try to install PL/FLOW to APEX . There is an error after commad @plflow.pks runs.

I have used PLFLOW before with very good success, but never with Apex, although it should be no problem.
