Submit button disabed, when uploading eGate.sar

Hi,
I am facing a problem when installing Jcaps 5.1 on Solaris 10 sparc. Following are the steps.
1) Successfully installed Repository
2) Successfully logged into web-admin page.(with username and password)
3) From the "browse" button able to add /caps/ProductCD1/eGate.sar file.
But "Submit" button is not enabled, tried in firefox(1.04), mozilla browsers.
Please let me know how can i proceed further.
Thanks in Advance

Use Internet Explorer on Windows.
You could try running IE under Wine on Solaris but the effort required to do that might not be worht the trouble particularly that you will need a Windows platform to run the Enterprise Designer anyway.
Read the documentation for pre-requisites and supported platforms.

    Hi,
    You have the choice between xml or pdf, in later versions of designer you can choose with a dropdown on the email button Object palette, the "Submit As";
    In earlier version you had to edit the XML Source and change the format from xml to pdf (or vice-versa);

  • Safari needs to click submit button twice when file uploading

    Hi all,
    I'm using Safari 4.0.5 and developing the html (no AJAX, but plain PHP posting) form with the file uploading on my local environment. I tested it fast and thick several times, then suddenly Safari stopped to upload the jpeg file, indicating loading animation on the address bar. So I tried to click the submit button once again, I succeed in sending two posts including one jpeg image.
    There's no problem with other browsers like Firefox and Chrome. Additionally, I tried to reinstalled Safari, rebooted Snow Leopard and checked file's permissions by Disk Utility app, but no dice.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    I am having the exact same problem except that I'm in Safari 5.0. Did you ever come to any resolution on the problem?
    I am having trouble uploading certain jpegs (can't find a common thread between the images that won't work though they tend to be larger than 100k and larger than 800px wide). When I have the problem the progress bar just hangs at about 10%. The page never times out. Never throws any kind of error. I confirmed that the file is never making it to the application layer. Such a weird and intermittent problem. All other browsers are fine. Just Safari is a problem. Even with these images that are giving me a problem, sometimes they work - especially after restarting the browser.
    Any help or insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

    > There are only two ways to process form data -
    You understand that, right? You are asking about how to
    process form data -
    and I am saying that there are only 2 ways to do that.
    > 1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
    You understand that? Each form has an action -
    <form action="..."
    --------------------^^^
    The contents of that action attribute tells the browser what
    to do when the
    form's submit button is successfully pressed.
    In other words, you could have <form
    action=mailto:[email protected]
    That would be ONE way to do it - but there are many
    disadvantages, as
    explained further in my post. The other way is method 2 -
    > Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
    form's data, b)
    > process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a
    database, c) formulate
    > and
    > send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
    redirect the visitor
    > to some ending page
    To do that, you'd have to *have* some server-side script -
    there are quite a
    few of them to choose from but the normal host usually also
    supplies one as
    part of your hosting package.
    > You would have to decide which of these methods is best
    for your needs,
    > but if it's Method 2, then start by asking your host
    what they provide for
    > form processing.
    Do you undertand that?

  • Submit button disappears when returning to the quiz slide

    Hi everyone,
    We just upgraded from Captivate 4.0 to 5.5. I'm learning 5.5 differences from 4.0 and have one that I can't figure out.
    On the quiz slides, if the learner moves back and forward within the quiz slides, the quiz buttons are fine. However, if they click Back on the 1st quiz slide, then go forward to the quiz slide the submit button flashes briefly then disappears for that slide and all the other quiz slides. I can't find a setting to fix this.
    Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Sounds like a quiz scope issue.  If you click back on the first quiz slide that would take you to the slide BEFORE the first quiz slide which is technically outside the quiz scope.  This usually results in Captivate locking the quiz.
    I haven't personally seen this button disappearing act but you can test whether quiz scope is the likely culprit by adding a scored click box to the first slide of the project, which will then extend the quiz scope out to that slide.  If this prevents your quiz slide buttons from disappearing, we know where the issue comes from.  That may mean you have still found a bug that needs to be fixed though.

  • How do I remove the submit button?

    I have a form that provides information only.  Is it possible to remove the submit button.  There is also a text input box at the base of the form with no provision for deleteing. How can I delete this?.

    When you convert a web form that you've created in FormsCentral and download as a PDF, you have the option of not including a submit button. If you created a PDF form with the desktop version of Acrobat, it won't have a submit button unless you upload it to the FormsCentral service and enable it for submission.
    Still, you can remove it in Acrobat by first saving a non-enabled version by selecting: File > Save A Copy
    and opening the copy (it doens't happen automatically) and deleting the button.

  • How do I remove the "SUBMIT" button from a forms central PDF?

  • Submit Button In Web Dynpro Layout not working.

    Hi All,
             I have integrated an adobe form in my web dynpro application.According to my requirement the view of screen should change when the user clicks on submit button.So I have given the submit button as one of the UI element in my WD object along with the form.But when I click on the submit button the functionality doesnot work.
    The same submit button works when there is no adobe form integrated in my WD application.
    Please let me know what needs tyo be done so make that submit button work.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sarang

    Sarang,
    Lets go step-by-step.
    1. Create two views in your applications lets say the names are View1 and View2.
    2. Goto Diagram View of the Window in under Windows node in your Web Dynpro Explorer in NWDS.
    3. Create Inbound and Outbound plugs for View1 namely inbView1 and outView1
    4. Repeat the same for View2. So names will be inbView2 and outView2.
    5. Create a navigational link between the Vies by creating a link from outView1 plug to inView2 plug.
    6. Goto Layout tab for the View1. This is where you have embedded the Interactive form element.
    7. Set the displayType property to native.
    8. Under Events there will be onSubmit method, craete a new method called navigateToView2 and click Go. This will take you where you can implement your logic.
    9. Fire the outbound plug of View1. See following code snippet:-
    public void onActiong navigateToView2(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
        //@@begin onActiongotoView2(ServerEvent)
        wdThis.wdFirePlugOutView1();
        //@@end
    10. Edit the Interactive form, it should open Adove LiveCycle Designer.
    11. Drag-drop Submit button from WD Native library ontot the form.
    11. Don't modify anything and check if you see below code snippet in the Editor.
    // DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE BEYOND THIS POINT - 705.20051114114126.253659.250577 - SubmitToSAP.xfo
                          ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
                          // END OF DO NOT MODIFY
    12. Now whenever you click submit button on the form, what it does is that it makes call to WD framework and the onSubmit action handler is called where you have written the code to navigate to View2.

  • Adobe form with Webdynpro - Form is hanging on click of Submit button

    Hello Experts,
    My View has an adobe form that has many dropdowns and input fields. There are some fields which get automatically populated based on entries made by the users. There are several internal tables getting populated in the WDDOINIT method. I have a 'Submit Button' which when clicked should close the browser, retrieve data in the Context and do processing in SAP.
    When I click on the submit button, I get a 'Wait' symbol (the circle symbol) for a very long time and then the Connection time out error comes up.
    I commented the population of some internal tables in the 'Init' method. when I tested by clicking this button, it worked. The browser got closed and processing in SAP was done too.
    I am working with a fairly large data. 2-3 of the internal tables (that I commented) have 2000-3000 records. Is there is restriction on how much data the WDN can handle? I am stuck now because even though all codes are correct, the wdn is not able to handle the data.
    Any suggestions ?
    appreciate all your help! Regards, Liz

    This issue is resolved. This was due to loading a large data set to the form.

  • Problems with "Submit" button on simple PDF form.

    Hi there!
    I have searched, but perhaps not searching forums correctly to find my answer as this seems like it should be easy to fix (she said hopefully).
    I have created a simple, offline PDF form for an event registration.
    I have fields all done, set it up to email back a simple FDF from the client with a Combo Box "Submit" button.
    When the client fills in the fields and hits "Submit" button, she gets:
    "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
    I created this in Adobe Acrobat 9.
    Client is filling in using Windows XP.
    I have extended release, no security, etc.
    Is there something simple I am missing?
    Have been able to get this to work before.
    But now, not so much!
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    That's not normal. Do you know what version of Acrobat/Reader the other person is using? Can you post the form somewhere? If not, I'd be happy to take a look at it if you are free to email it to me at: acroscript at gmail dot com

  • Email Submit Button

    I need to email a PDF form to any person I want to. But when you add the Email Submit Button to the form it requires you to enter an email address. What if the email address is different every time? Is there a way to add an Email button so when the form user clicks on the Email button it brings up Microsoft Outlook and you can type in any email address that you want?

    You need to have an email submit button that, when clicked, sends the email.. but you can set properties of that button and trigger it from another button. So hide EmailSubmitButton1 (or whatever it's called), create a new button, and add script like this:
    // Set whatever address you like in the mailto: line
    EmailSubmitButton1.resolveNode("#event.submit").setAttribute("mailto:[email protected]?subject=h i there", "target");
    EmailSubmitButton1.execEvent("click");
    This finds the submit button's submit node and sets it's target property to whatever you specify, and then clicks it.

  • Email submit button created in LC ES2 causes Acrobat and Reader to crash

    I've created a form in LC ES2, and included an email submit button. When I open this form in Acrobat Reader 10.1.3, click the submit button, and specify "Desktop Email Application," as opposed to the "Internet Email" option, no email is generated, Reader locks up and requires force closing. This happens also with Acrobat X Pro. With both programs, it happens (1) when the form is Reader enabled AND when it's not, (2) when I use an http submit button with a submit to URL of: mailto:[email protected], and (3) when I use a standard button, with control type "submit" and a submit to URL of: mailto:[email protected]
    I AM able to save the form in Acrobat Pro and in Reader (when rights are enabled), I just can't email it.

    Have had the same problem for years. It crashes for me when i just try to email within acrobat. Not sure if its a problem causes by my work network or if it is just another thing never to be fixed by Adobe.

  • Email Submit button works in Acrobat but not Reader

    I have a form with an email submit button.  When those who have Adobe Reader click on the Submit button, nothing happens.  For the users with Acrobat, the submit button works as designed. The users all have the latest version of Reader, Java and Flash.  When the Acrobat users click the button a box appears asking them to select Desktop or Internet email.  Once they make a selection, the form is sent.  When the Reader users click the button nothing happens.  I'm sure there must be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust.  Can you help me?

    Hi Susan,
    I appreciate we have meandered through this, but bear with us...
    Here is a screen shot of a regular button set up to return the completed form as a PDF.
    Now if you deploy this form WITHOUT Reader Enabling the form, then users with Reader will see this warning:
    However before you deploy the form open it in Acrobat and go to the Advanced menu (in version 9) and select "Extend features in Acrobat Reader" and save the form with an amended name. Then send this new "Reader extended" form out to the users with Reader and they will be able to return the completed PDF.
    Without seeing the actual form it is difficult to work out how the submit button is set up.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall
