About me, I use an iMac from mid-2011, which uses Mac OS X v10.8.5 really-well. It has "just" 4 GB of memory. As I typed this, on another browserI ran SpeedofMe.com. My Download Speed was 6.27 Mbps. My Upload Speed was 2.19 Mbps. A second time these were respectively, 5.77 Mbps & 2.21 Mbps.
So fully, I expect that my speed is OK, not the-best mind you, but OK _or_ passable. :-)
But I cannot even _get_ Mavericks, darned thing! Endlessly I see, "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later."
Frankly, this message has gotten on my nerves! I use writing here as a way to calm-down, temporarily. Thank you.

Bob ... for Mavericks you need to keep something in mind.
If at some point you need to repair the startup disk or reinstall OS X, that requires using OS X Recovery requires a high speed broadband connection as noted here > About OS X Recovery
Mavericks takes about 45 mins to an hour to download with a download speed of aproximately 25 to 35Mpbs. On a slow internet connection, the file will time out before it can finish.
6.27Mbps download speed will never work for installing Mavericks or using OS X Recovery.

The 404 error message I am getting reads: The URL https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com/principals/users/MY PERSONAL E-MAIL [email protected]/ encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct.
Of course, I removed the actual e-mail address it is stating for this discussion board. This thing is popping up every 5 minutes or less. I have edited, deleted and re-started all of the accounts, to no avail. I tried System Preferences to no avail. Any more suggestions out there?

Have you tried closing the app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the My Hours app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the My Hours app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

Logging Issue (First Time Error, Second attempt success)- Please help

We have BO XI 3.1 SP2.We have developed a custom java sdk code for logging in. The code works in Dev and Test however the same code errors out when using another CMS name(Prod). Not quite sure how to troubleshoot the issue. Another note is first time when we pass the login values (System Name, User Id, Pass, Auth) it errors out and second time it logs in fine. This happens every time start of the application.

Yes we do have Support and we are working with them to identify the root cause. Still no luck so far!!!
No. It does not redirect to Infoview page,once the logon is completed it redirects to a product selection screen from there it uses an open document to view webi report.
We have tried clearing all the cookies, history, temp files everything and start with a new browser the issue still remains. Well the logon page writes cookies however it does only when it can create an Enterprise Session.
Yes the Prod Environment is at SP2 Level. The Prod has been set up the same way as Dev and Test. Well the same code works in both the environments. Unsure how to troubleshoot to identify the root cause.
Any thoughts is greatly appreciated.

Since i upgarde my iPhone 5 to the latest ios 7.1.1, it doesn't work on iMessage. I've tried to follow the instruction posted by Apple but it still not work for me. It appear " iMessage unsuccessful activation" after i waiting for activation for a while. If anyone know how to get it successful please kindly share, HOW ?

I should also add: There's no pending downloads in the iTunes store on my device or App store. There are some pending downloads linked to my account, but they have been there for quite a while and have never been a problem before. Additionally, if these apps WERE the issue, I figure they would've begun to download on my device after I succesfully typed my password in.

The AC100 is an early attempt from Toshiba to create an ARM based netbook (a smartbook) with Nvidia's successful Tegra2 chipset.
Although, the AC100 looks like proper hardware design, it became only
mildly successful. Some of the reasons may have to do with the primary
operating system, Android ([see my earlier article about this|http://soltesza.wordpress.com/2010/06/27/toshiba-a100-smartbook-with-android-but-why/]) but even more can be attributed to the design decisions Toshiba made.
Since these machines are now available in my home country (Hungary)
at quite attractive price points (~$250 USD, some people seem to be
trying to get rid of it soon after purchase) I can't help bumping into

I am a gadget fan, I always have my hand trembling seeing those prices
and I need to cool myself down before doing some impulse-buy I regret
later.
What could make me click on the "Buy" button?
*More memory*
First of all, 1-2GB of RAM instead of the measly 512MB the AC100
hosts. Why the heck tried Toshiba sell a netbook with 512MB of RAM when
ALL of the Atom N450 netbooks seemed to come with 2 GB at that time?
This amount of RAM would allow to slap Ubuntu onto the machine and not
worry about running out of memory when loading up OpenOffice. Ubuntu has
been demonstrated on the AC100 and even looks snappy. (see this [site dedicated to Ubuntu on the AC100|http://tosh-ac100.wetpaint.com/]). Toshiba could easily put 2GB of RAM into the machine without major cost-increase.
*Desktop OS and/or Android*
Putting 1-2GB of RAM into the AC100 would open the gate for using a
proper, netbook-oriented desktop OS which can take advantage of the
form-factor. They should use Ubuntu, since that could be fixed up on
this hardware in no time (especially if they purchase some consultancy
from Canonical).
I don't think that Android needs to stay on the machine but if
Toshiba still thinks it is such a good idea for any user-group, they
could make the AC100 dual-boot, or even better, run both OSes in
parallel (2GB of RAM would make this absolutely possible). Android would
be the light-and-easy OS on the device but the user could any time
switch to a full Ubuntu desktop with an Android launcher icon and start
using OpenOffice or other decent desktop software. The
paravirtualization developed by B-labs would be an [instant solution |http://armdevices.net/2011/04/04/android-virtualization-on-ti-omap4-processors-dual-core-cortex-a9/]for this problem and would future proof the machine for a possible Windows8 scenario later.
*More battery*
The 8 hour runtime of the AC100 is decent enough but more
battery-time is always welcome. The enclosure has a LOT of free/empty
space under the keyboard due to the ultra-compact nature of Tegra2 and
its supporting circuitry. Toshiba should again take advantage of the
form-factor and add one or more extra battery docking bays under the
keyboard which could extend the runtime to 16-24 hours. (Admittedly,
they would make the unit weight much more but since these batteries
would be optional, this decision would be up to the user. A 24-hour
runtime with a 3-battery arrangement would make the AC100 extremely
appealing for a large-set of users. It would be acceptable that the
batteries are charged in series (so the recharge process is lengthier)
so that Toshiba doesn't have to switch to a more expensive power supply.
(Although the power supply issue is probably not a serious cost
factor).
*What else*
Of course, there would be a lot of things to be improved (more USB
ports, higher-resolution display...etc) but I tried to draw up things
which require smaller redesign so that an improved version could be
implemented faster.
I believe the AC100 line could be made really successful and Toshiba should take steps to make this happen.

I buy notebook toshiba ac100 3 weeks before and I suffer major problem...
something happened with my screen , I press the power button and notebook is running /I can tell from turning on play-multimedia button for music and it plays music/ but the screen is not running !
I try many many things, like only on A/C , only on battery , pushing button for switch between screen and ext.monitor , but unfortunately - the screen was still black !
so I connect to flat tv with HDMI cable, and there you go - i have the screen ot the TV , but only there !
my question is this is problem with the screen or something I do wrong ?!

PLEASE HELP! iMovie and .MPG Files

Hello. Please help me. I'm on a G5. 10.5.3. iMovie 7.1.2 (577) I have a series of .MPG files that I need to import into iMovie to edit, arrange and then export over to iDVD, etc. iMovie does not see the .MPG files. The Apple site states that iMovie sees only MPEG-4 files and DV files. I also own Quicktime Pro 7.5 (149.5). When I open the .MPG file in Quicktime Pro, even though the file plays perfectly, when I select "Export to MPEG-4" so I can create a readable file by iMovie, I get an error message that say's "Failed: Export process terminated unexpectedly (10). Complete frustration. Is there another way I can convert these files so iMovie can see them? What's wrong with my Quicktime Pro? I bought DivX Pro last night. I thought maybe that program would make an iMovie readable file. No luck. I used DivX to convert and it created a DivX file with NO SOUND. Wasted money.
If anyone has any solutions for my problems noted here or possible alternatives so I can achieve what I'm trying to do successfully, PLEASE ADVISE as soon as possible.

Gif images for iconic button?anybody met success

I have done everything what is specified in the doc i.e added the lineof code for app.iconpath and referred the same in the HTML FOR cartridge in serverApp param
and also in the cartridge parameters but the result no the buttons just stare balank at me.
Instead i tried to replace the buttons with the 1k,2k size gif images oops! Oracle Developer server can't even take a byte of
image files and the application hangs searching for the file.
Why can anyone who has met with success please tell me how?

N8 map problem PLEASE HELP!!!

i don't know why my device and ovi suite are giving me this issue. i did a delete data and restore after having issues with bubbles and sleeping screen, when they were in beta form. also something else was causing the phone to run slowly, i don't know what it was. after the delete and restorel, i re-installed the firmware 014.002. now everytime i plug in my mobile to my computer and i try to re-install the maps i get a message saying that i need to update my old maps. the thing is, i don't have any maps on the phone. i'm using Maps version 3.06 if that helps. i even tried delete data and restore, and re-installing the firmware again to see if that would help, but no success.
please somebody help me. i sold my GPS unit and was using the N8 as a replacement. it was doing an awesome job up until now. also i tried contacting nokia about the problem and their tech support seems to have reading problems and they keep telling me to do the steps i already did....

Whilst I would only ever advocate a "three key reset" upon S^3 device as a last resort due to erasure of data upon Mass memory amongst other issues, there is obviously something corrupted upon your device perhaps due to UDP = User Data Preservation feature which has not been cleared by your attempts so far.
It maybe that re-installation of complete software at a Nokia Care Point may be required to resolve this issue, which would also restore regional mapping included upon E:\ Mass memory.

Ditch the return statement in your finally clause and move it to the end of the try block in stead. The whole idea behind finally is that it is always executed even after you return from the method, you don't add a return statement to your finally.
In your case you don't need a finally clause, you only add calls to it that MUST be executed, such as freeing up resources.

HT4461 Error 1004 please try again later?

Sketch indicates an update but gives me an Error 1004 please try again later message, what does the number signify and when will it resolve. Also, I want a record of my purchase, unfortunately I have to prove my purchase before I 'may' get my update. They don't appear to keep a registration database to automate the process.

Open LaunchPad and find the icon of the app you're trying to install. There will be a small progress bar below it. Click the "X" to stop the download.

from the App Store menu bar, then select View hidden purchases. Stop or resume the download.
Step 3
Sign out of the App Store and sign back in.
Step 4
Uninstall the app you're trying to update and reinstall it from your Purchases list.

You'll get a ton of ideas from others so, by no means, don't think that mine will solve your issue. I, personally have fallen in love with [StreamClip|http://www.squared5.com>. It does a ton of stuff.
As for your Error 10, hopefully that's just an "out of space" (on your drive) error and not an I/O error (a problem with the drive reading/writing)
But, you said you have Quicktime Pro and you're going to iMovie so I'd try to make your .MPG files a DV Stream...I think that's what I movie likes.

Registration Parameters Cannot be Validated Successfully

Ran into what might be a simple problem: Jsut installed Essbase V9 and trying to configure EAS and Essbase Server. I entered the user name and pw for the user account as well as shared services and I get the error "Registration Parameters Cannot be Validated Successfully, Please Verify If the Information is correct". Any ideas why this error ?

1. It should not matter , whether its foreground or background ( but its a different question ,why your services are not able to start at background).
2. As Atul said, ensure your shared services is up and running ( its pre requisite is openLDAP).
3.As you have error while configuring with SS , it point out that your SS was down ,while you were configuring.
Pls do validate , to see what the log in red says
4. Finally, how to run the services?. To answer that, generally they are 'automatic' in nature and they get started withe OS start( IF you have an issue ,better to start it in the foreground , identify the problem, resolve and start in the background)
