Suggestions needed on Purchasing scenario

Hi Experts,
I have to create a report for the pending Purchase Orders.
Now, in R/3, EKPO contains information of all the POs.
EKBE contains information of the completely and partially invoiced POs.
So, I have created 2 datasources, one from EKPO and one from EKBE.
The EKPO datasource goes to on ODS, and the EKBE datasource goes to another ods.
To calculate the pending values, eg: Pending PO Quantity, i have to subtract the PO Quantity for a particular Line Item of a PO from EKBE, from the one in EKPO.
If the value is not equal to zero, then that line item is pending.
So, for this, how do i go about using the 2 ODSs?
1. Can i create a datamart on both the ODSs and then do the required calculation?
2. Can i create an export datasource from EKPO ODS and then do the required calculation in EKBE ODS?
3. Any other suggestions?
Kindly help.
Thanx in advance

hi,
i guess u dont have to create an infoset.
that might complicate things,
instead use data mart create an infocube abd use start routine to do ur calculations for pending PO's.
use 2 diffrent transformations for uploading data from the ods.
and use the start routine of any one to do the calculations.
actualyy u could have done this at r3 side by adding one field there only and then uploading the required data in only one ods and then create a cube on it.
this would have simplified ur work.

Hi, I have been trying to update many things on my 2009 white macbook. Everytime I do it tells me I need a different version. I don't know what versions I need or even where to begin or if I need to purchase new hardware? It says my version is 10.5.8. I have tried downloading 10.6 but not sure what to do. Everyone else seems to be updating there's and mine is way behind however it still tells me I have no software updates...Any suggestions?

You have to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change to add to the base code or as a bug fix within an existing Operating System. Such as the .8 added to 10.5.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
10.5 Leopard was based on Power PC code and was written to be able to run on both Power PC and Intel processors.
10.6 Snow Leopard has completely rewritten code and only runs on Intel Macs.
10.7 Lion used some 32 bit which allows it to run on Late 2006 through Early 2008 MacBooks and a lot of 64 bit code.
10.8 Mountain Lion is pure 64 bit, which excludes more systems than Lion did. It's not something you can add memory to, for example, as it involves the base architecture.

  • Centralised Purchasing Scenario but decentralised GR and IV.

    Hi,
We've a scenario where certain items are procured centrally for all the locations across India. Purchase price, vendor etc. are finalised by Corporate office. Corporate office raise the PO but goods are delivered to various storage locations across India and each location books inventory in their accounts. Quality inspection is also done at receiving location and same location also process the vendor invoice. Payment to the vendor is also made at the location where goods were received.
We're planning to have multiple company codes i.e. Corporate office will be one company code and other units will be company code as well.
I think if we raise a PO and at item level, enter Plant of another company code.. cross company code purchasing scenario can be managed. Does this work and if yes, any specific configuration required.
In summary, the scenario is, Purchase order will be created by one company code (may be header) where as GR and IV shall be done by different company codes. Please suggest how standard SAP works in such cases.
    Regards
    Vivek

this works pretty well. In customizing you have to take care that you do not assign the purchasing org to a company code, instead you have to assign it to plants to make this happen.
The delivery adress is taken from the plant mentioned in the PO item (or even from the storage location if it has an address), but you have to state in the form to where the vendor has to send the invoice if IV is done decentralized.

  • Suggestion needed Invoice Reconciliation

    Dear All,
I need your inputs and suggestions on the below scenario.
My client, at the time of creating Sales Order, selected Credit Card as Payment Means and added the Sales ORder. SAP had posted a Down Payment Invoice based on the Sales Order automatically.  When an invoice is created, the system automatically linked the previuosly paid down payment and closed the invoice. However, what happened was that the credit card payment which was initially entered at the time of Sales Order was dishonoured and subsequently, the customer paid through cheque. The customer wants to know how to reconcile this transaction?
    Regards,
    Bharath S

    Hi Bharath,
I know this is slightly complicated. You cannot cancel the incoming payment as it is already linked to down payment. The AR invoice is also closed because of the down payment. My suggestion is to manually create  a reverse journal entry for the incoming payment and do a standalone incoming payment using 'Check' as payment means then reconcile these both manually on the BP internal reconciliation area.
    Hope it helps
    regard

  • Hello, I have a Macbook pro which runs under 10.5.8. I want to use a PC interface. been told I need to purchase paralellDestop 6, Windows & Microsoft 2008licence?

Hello, I have a Macbook pro which runs under 10.5.8. I want to use a PC interface. I've been told I need to purchase paralell Destop 6, Windows licence and Microsoft Office 2008 for PC. Is that correct ?

If you have a MacBook Pro with 10.5, that's usually a machine that's getting long in the tooth and thus running Windows as a virtual machine (one OS inside another) will likely be slow.
Also spending all that money for Windows (VirtualBox is free) and Office seems like almost a waste of effort if the machine is going to die suddenly.
MacBook Pro's last about 4-5 years.
To do what you want your going to have to upgrade OS X to 10.6, then either buy VMFusion or Parallels which they are now catering to 10.7 and 10.8 users, so it's slow on 10.6, or use the free VirtualBox which will run well on 10.6. Then buy a copy of Windows 7 as earlier Windows versions are not being sold, then Office 11 or whatever.
You can also install OfficeMac into 10.6, if they still sell a copy.
You see your outdated really, and anything that can work is soon to be ignored etc.
What I would consider doing instead, since your not a OS upgrade type of person (we are on 10.8 now which won't run on your machine or be extremely slow) is to buy yourself a decent Windows 7 laptop and install Office into that. Some have the demo already inside and all you have to do is activate it.
This way you get your Windows experience and Office experience, don't have to fiddle with complicated virtual machine software, or Apple's problematic Bootcamp etc as Apple really is leaving 10.5 and 10.6 users behind, and by next summer will be leaving 10.7 users behind too.
Windows 7 laptop will be the cheapest and least stressful option for you, you can continue to use the Mac until it drops dead of course.
I say this because your on 10.5, your like most computer users, just a computer user and not a geek.
You obviously have some reason you need Office, likely for a job or school and since 99% use Windows and Office, then that's what you should be using.
If your only needing Office or Office like program for something temporary, then I suggest you install the free LibreOffice into OS X, however I don't know if it will run in 10.5, you might have to upgrade to 10.6 via the 10.6.3 white retail disk, however Apple doesn't sell it anymore, but perhaps Amazon or elsewhere does.
Sorry, you have been out of the upgrade loop for quite some time, so a new machine is in order as that one is about to die soon, so I wouldn't be spending too much on it really.
If you have a fat wallet you can buy a new Mac with 10.8, and have Windows 7 installed in BootCamp (direct boot) and also into VMFusion or Parallels (copies the Bootcamp Windows so you can use both) and Office for you. It will come all set up, enter your password and use the machine.
I think OtherWorld Computing will sell you a pre-configured Mac all set up like that for you, Apple won't do it though.
You can also pay a local PC/Mac specialist to do the same.
Don't forget setting up a backup system for both Windows and OS X, add anti-malware software in Windows, you'll need that.
IMO a new Windows 7 laptop would be the cheaper, less stressful option, Learning Bootcamp and virtual machine software can be a pain if your not computer savvy, al;so Apple has a nasty habit of upgrading the operating system constantly, now on a annual basis. You don't upgrade and all your third party software, then your denied security updates in short order. Windows 7 laptop will last a decade on the same version, only needing simple updates, not upgrades.
If you want your Windows machine to last even longer, like a decade, then get a desktop tower instead of a laptop.
Mac's are for those who can handle a lot of change, as Apple is about always inflicting change.  It's costly change too.
    Good Luck
Windows in BootCamp or Virtual Machine?

  • Do I need to purchase this??

    Hey guys,
My small company wants to publish all their workbooks and materials on apps and sell them.
I have an acrobat acct, Indesign CS5.5 and was wondering, in order to sell these folios and sell them as apps, do I need to purchase DPS??
or is there other ways?? It seems very expensive.
    Nick

I'd suggest getting some advertisers to pick up the slack, otherwise you're stuck spending over 11K. The other option is signing up for a free Acrobat account, but you can only distribute one folio at a time, which I could see working if you're distributing some internal collateral. That's my $.02.

  • Do I really need to purchase apple care.. ?

    Hi..
Been using my macbook for about a year now with no issues at all and just got a reminder call from the local apple store suggesting me to purchase the apple care before the 1 year official warranty expires.
Well, my mac is always in safe hands and I kind of doubt if a mac would break down so soon. Was wondering do i really should go in for apple care or should I leave it the way it is.. ? Got some big expenses coming up so don't really want to spend on anything else at the moment. Thanks in advance..:)

For a portable, I would get Applecare, regardless of the systems good care. Portables, by their nature, have alot of function squeezed into a small enclosure, and being portable adds additional opportunities for bumps and physical stresses. I've always bought Applecare for our portable systems, and have had claims on some systems and none on others. Applecare is, after all, nothing more than an insurance policy. Another thought is that some credit cards extend the manufacturers warranty, so if you paid via credit card that offers that service, Applecare may not be needed at all.

  • Can I upgrade from CS5.1 to CC or do I need to purchase a new product for PS

About three years ago I purchased the student version of PS which came with MANY other items including Ai, Dw, Fw, Br, Fb, Fc,and Ct.  I mainly used Dw and Ps for website development. I was wondering if there is an upgrade for Ps to the new CC version or do I need to purchase a whole new product.  I'm also looking for a student version.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

CC is a subscription mode.  I know of no prior requirement to subscribe, just subscribe.

  • Just trying iMovie, I am trying to burn a dvd it's pointing me to iDVD is that a program that I need to purchase?

i took video of a friends wedding and uploaded it to my imac 27. I want to burn a dvd of the video that i captured. iMovie is pointing me to an application iDVD is this a program that I need to purchase? I am running Lion on this iMac27.

Unfortunately, Apple discontinued iDVD; but, you can either try the other poster's suggestion or buy a retail iLife 11 disk at many online resellers. iDVD is the best software available with its customizable menus and themes to take your project from amateur to pzazz! Most Apple stores no longer have the retail iLife 11.
And, when you want to export your movie from iMovie, use the following settings - they produce the best quality especially if you shoot your footage in HD: use the Share > Export using Quicktime. In the resulting window, use these settings (by clicking on Options):

Upgrading to OS X 10.7 FAQ
Backup your user files and folders manually (drag and drop) from all partitions/OS's installed to a external powered drive and disconnect this drive, before proceeding in addition to TimeMachine, Bootable Clones etc.
You need to make sure you're running the latest version of Snow Leopard10.6.8
Click the "Apple" symbol in the top left corner of your screen and select "About This Mac."
Make sure you're running version 10.6.8.
If not, click "Software Update" from the same Apple menu and update your system.
Then when that's finished launch the MacAppStore from the same menu.
You'll see the giant Lion banner across the top. Click on it.
This brings you to the app page for Lion. It costs $29.99 -- click the price, then click "Buy App."

(there are reports of hacking Lion to work on 32 bit Intel Core DuoMac's, it's unsupported by Apple and not advised)
    Didn't get Lion?
These are user to user support forums and Apple doesn't respond here,
We users can't speak for Apple about your free Lion status or problems downloading, reissuing a download.
It's possible Apple could be spacing out the downloads as not to knock theservers offline. So be patient.
If after a week or so when the initial rush is over, and you still haven't gotten your Lion, I suggest you contact Apple.
    Mission critical
If your using Mac's in a mission critical type environment or have third party hardware or software you must rely upon working correctly. It's advised to wait until all the bugs, driver updates, third party software and other issues are resolved before upgrading. This might take several months. Then if you do so, do one machine at a time andcarefully test everything before full deployment.

Verizon says I have plenty of iCloud storage.  iCloud says I need to purchase storage.  Which is correct?  My phone won't back up.

Verizon wouldn't have any idea how much iCloud storage you have; they don't have access to your account.  Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage and tap the name of your phone under Backups.  The bottom of the screen will tell you how much storage you have left and Next Backup Size will tell you how much you need to back up.
If you need to reduce your storage, this article provides some suggestions: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847.

  • If I get the photography plan does it come with phone gap build (the 25 private apps) or do I need to purchase them seperately

I have been using the phone gap build service and I noticed that the plans page links to the Creative Cloud plans as well (the ? in the top right). I was wondering if I get the photoshop/lightroom plan if I get access to the paid phone gap build service or if I need to purchase that as well?
    Thanks.

Phone Gap is not part of the photography bundle. Why should it? You do not get Dreamweaver or Flash to actually build content for Phone Gap, only PS and LR.

Check with your carrier about roaming charges.  They are usually prohibitive.  Best to get a local SIM.
