Support of vr pay virtuell by business catalyst?

Hello everybody,
we would like to use http://www.vr-epay.info/?sub=API-VRPAYPAGE within business catalyst. However, there is no ready-to-use template  in it. Has anyone tried to work with this payment system before?
Many thanks in advance for your support  - and sorry for pointing to german website with the tecnical details.
Best,
Tobias

If you want to do a payment that is not supported by BC you have to implement it yourself as Liam has suggested. The case study link is a good start, I've actually built this for a customer in the real world but you can't apply discount codes via the API (at this point in time) so it's better to do it via AJAX / JSONP and keep "most" of the frontend (and discount codes) on BC while the "processing" is done with another server and the API.

  • What is up with the Help and Support Section for Business Catalyst?

It has been very difficult for my customers and myself to access the help and support section of the site for Business Catalyst issues as we are constantly diverted to non-related Abode issues. The portal for support on Business Catalyst issue needs to be ISOLATED from ADOBE's main support section. It is bad enough that there are so many issues to deal with, but to add all the issues for all the applications is simply impossible to decipher and discover a solution.
Before the Adobe integration on the Cloud services it was much more simpler, wiith a much more efficient and cleaner layout, now every page looks like its generated by a bot that doesn't understand what I am looking for. Even the actual URL of the page is hidden so I can't even book mark it without opening the frame in a new window. My clients will not know how to do that.
    Simplify plesase!

    Teejay,
Yes we are looking into this very thing and hope to improve this very soon.  Not only making things a bit clearer but also a central location for all your BC support needs.

  • How do I begin payment for a webMarketing Business Catalyst subscription?

Extreme frustration here.  I have a subscription to Muse, built an awesome website for my company, we have been testing it live under the "xxxx.businesscatalyst.com" option. I have looked everywhere and cannot find the place where I pay for a business catalyst subscription.
When I test launch it live to the xxxx.businesscatalyst.com website, I click manage and you can see all the stats and stuff in the "Admin Console" - also the dashboard screen says I have the webBasics Plan and that the status is live.  I never even chose webBasics initially and we havent paid anything, so i'm clueless on whats going on there. I have spent many hours trying to find where I choose my BC subscription and actually pay for it and there is no direction whatsoever in the admin console.
My company has a domain with a website running on it now and we want to use that same domain for the new Muse site I built.  That is also something that I am clueless about...I thought it would be straightforward, but when i research it all i see to find are tons of situations that seem way more complex than mine.  We don't want forms or client accounts, we just want a website with pictures.
Any ideas on where to start?  I have been to every "stock" help page on Adobe's sites and I get lost or hone in on a problem that is unrelated to mine.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Site published from Muse will be in web basic site plan.
You would need to upgrade the site from partner portal , for details please refer

    Hi,
I need assistance with transferring an existing website  - imagessays.com  -  (designed with Dreamweaver CS4) to my Creative Cloud CS6 account - to web hosting by CS6 Business Catalyst.
Beyond that, need advice as to how to repair a couple of non-funcitonal links on site (check out site to see a couple of pics that don't work).  I'm looking forward to uploading more content (pitchers an' writin's) and to do major upgrade to the site, but am unable to do so ... need technical support re how to do these simple (should be) things.
         Look forward to assistance.
    Thanks,

  • Does anyone know if Business Catalyst supports Westpac payments?

    Hi guys,
Do you know if Business Catalyst supports Westpac payments? Westpace is one of the biggest Australian banks: http://www.westpac.com.au/.
    Thanks for help.

Yes I am sure it does Sharkenny, however does the client have a merchant facility with Westpac? Eway gateway is supported by BC and most Australian banks can set that up for your client. There are other options available in BC if Westpac does not use Eway.
There was a KB article about it here http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/000/bc_68.html
BC supports a myriad of payment gateways. If you client does not have an Eway facility with Westpac, or does not want to do so because of cost, you can go for offline processing, where the webforms can collect credit card data and send an encrypted email with the details so the client can write up the cr card payment and go and deposit at the bank. Or you can use Paypal. However Paypal in BC only works with Shops, not web forms.

  • Does Business Catalyst Support Ioncube?

    Question:
Is it possible to run JRox/Ioncube on an Adobe Business Catalyst server?
    Back Story:
I have a client who has the need to extend the capabilities of the built-in BC Affiliate program. They currently own and have been using JRox Affiliate Marketing Software. This software is PHP based and requires the Ioncube to authenticate the JRox PHP script license.
BC tech thread, "Server-side scripts will not run in BC." However, also indicated is that apps run on a remote serve could be integrated (iframed) into BC?
Looking for a best practice, or alternative compatible BC solution. I.e., Omnistar, Post Affiliate Pro, SalesForce...
    —Many thanks!

    Hi there,
from the above mentioned possibilites, I'm sure that Post Affiliate Pro integrates with Adobe Business Catalyst. It is PHP based as well.

  • Creative Cloud and existing Business Catalyst partners - FAQ

This FAQ will cover topics related to Creative Cloud, for existing Business Catalyst users.
How can I signup for Creative Cloud?
Your Business Catalyst account should have been already updated right now with your Adobe ID. If you haven’t updated it yet, visit the Adobe ID – Business Catalyst account update FAQ.
What benefits do I get with Creative Cloud ?
In addition to acccess to all Creative Suite programs, Lightroom and others in one place, a Creative Cloud membership enables you to host up to five Business Catalyst websites. These sites will be webBasics sites. For a full comparison between plans, see this page. If you purchase Muse or Dreamweaver as individual products in Creative Cloud, you can host one Business Catalyst website for each of them.
My web design shop has several employees, each with their own Business Catalyst login with access our Partner Portal. Do we need Adobe IDs for each of our employees?
Yes. Since these users are partner users, they need to use an Adobe ID. Visit the Adobe ID – Business Catalyst account update FAQ for more details
I have a paid website that I want to host using my Creative Cloud subscription. Can I do this?
This is not possible. You need to create a new webBasics temporary website in Business Catalyst and push it live.
Can I move a trial/live Creative Cloud site under a different Creative Cloud subscription?
This is not possible right now.
Do I get any discount if I upgrade a Creative Cloud website to a higher Business Catalyst plan such as webMarketing or webCommerce?
Currently there are no upgrade discounts for Creative Cloud members.
What are the limitations of the webBasics websites that come with Business Catalyst and Creative Cloud membership?
You will be limited to 100 MB of storage and 1 additional user (such as your customer). You will not get email, SMS or newsletters for this web plan.
Can I buy more users? Can I buy more space? Can I buy email?
We are working on creating this workflow but at this point we don’t have an exact release date for this feature.
How can I upgrade the webBasics websites that come with Creative Cloud to a higher Business Catalyst plan?
We are working on creating this workflow but at this point we don’t have an exact release date for this feature.
Do I get any discount for purchasing more websites if I am a Creative Cloud subscriber?
Right now there is no discount for Creative Cloud members.
If I am an existing Paid Partner and I have a few employees for whom I paid Creative Cloud subscriptions, how many websites can I claim?
You will have 5 websites for each employee. However, you will pay different licenses for all of them. Before purchasing these licenses, please contact Adobe Support to add these users to your partner portal. After you have added users to your partner portal, you will be able to access all the websites from it.
*NOTE: If you have already add employees to your partner portal, then everything will work automatically.
If you don’t want to access all your websites from the same Partner Portal, you don’t have to do anything.
How can I set permissions for my employees regarding these websites? What permissions can I set?
This will be part of a later Creative Cloud that will be launched this year.
What happens if I cancel or stop paying my Creative Cloud subscription?
Each live website (among the free websites under your Creative Cloud subscription) will stay live for an additional 30 days. This gives you time to decide whether you want to keep the site(s) live or remove them.  You will be prompted to upgrade your website to a regular Business Catalyst site plan.
After 30 days, your website will enter in temporary mode. When entering the temporary mode, your custom domain name will be removed from the website. In order to reactivate it, pay for your website directly with Business Catalyst.
If you are inactive on a temporary website, it will automatically be deleted.
    === Dreamweaver CS6 FAQ ===
I have logged in on Dreamweaver CS6 and I cannot see my partner site. How can I edit it?
This is a known issue. For paid partners (Standard or Premium) you can use the workaround described below:
export one of your sites as an .ste file
Open the .ste file in another text editor, and modify it
    Replace the :
httpaddress with your partner's site URL address
secureURL with your partner site secure URL
siteid with the site ID of your partner site
Save the .ste file with another name
Import this .ste file into Dreamwaver, choose a local root folder
Please take a look at Brad's blog post here for more detailed steps on how to import your partner site in Dreamweaver.
I'm trying to login to Dreamweaver CS6 with my Business Catalyst credentials, and it doesn't work. What credentials do I need?
You can login to Dreamweaver CS6 with your Adobe ID. If you haven't merged your BC account with an Adobe ID account, you'll need to merge it and then you should be able to login.
How do I access sites in Dreamweaver with an Adobe ID other than the one linked to my Creative Cloud or Dreamweaver subscription?
Dreamweaver defaults to using the Adobe ID from your subscription to avoid the inconvenience of logging in multiple times. To use a different ID, just click the "Logout" button in the lower-right hand corner of the Business Catalyst panel and log in with a different Adobe ID:
You'll need to have a file open in an existing BC site for the "Logout" button to be visible. Logging out will not affect the Adobe ID used in conjunction with your Dreamweaver subscription. To change the Adobe ID for your subscription, click Help -> Deactivate.

At this point the upgrade workflow is not functional just yet, as mentioned here: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2153
So the webBasics Creative Cloud cannot be upgraded directly  to the webBasics+ level for now.
But a workaround for this case would be to re-publish your Dreamweaver/Muse project (I suppose you've used one of these solutions to build the site in the first place, right?) in a new trial/temporary site  -> let us know what is the URL of that site (don't push it live) -> we will change the site plan from our backend to webBasics+ -> you will be able to publish it using the webBasics+ site plan.
Please note that this is going to be a separate charge, besides your Creative Cloud subscription. The monthly fee for webBasics+ will be $12.21/month, as mentioned here: http://www.adobe.com/products/business-catalyst/buying-guide-subscriptions.html
Another way to use the webBasics+ plan would be to simply trigger a new trial site here: https://syd.worldsecuresystems.com/PartnerPortal/FreeTrialSignup.aspx#splash with the same Adobe ID as the one used to buy the Creative Cloud subscription and  take that site live separately.

  • Need information on the art of the possible with Business Catalyst

    Hi
My wife is setting up an online Business that will sell downloadable language resources (for learning foreign languages). These will include worksheets, soundfiles, and also animations (that are being done by a separate animator).
I am a 'rusty' Java developer and have said that I would do the IT for her.
We have purchased an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription as she is doing the worksheets in InDesign, and they will be sold as PDF's.
I have mocked up the beginnings of a website with Muse, but was intending to use that for getting the look and feel right, then replicating it in Java and HTML5.
However, today I started looking a Business Catalyst and seeing what it could do, but I am confused about it.
Would I be able to sell downloadable items using the eCommerce features?
Can I set up a mock shop on the free BC site?
How much does the eCommerce upgrade actually cost? Like I said, we are a Creative Cloud subscriber.
There will be some features that I will need to code, perhaps talking to another database, I understand that you can call out from the app to your own webservices etc?
    Thanks for any help.
    matt

    Hi Matt,
BC sounds like a good solution for you from the little bit you shared.
Do you mean javascript or java? Java doesn't run on BC as FYI.
    Here are your answers:
Would I be able to sell downloadable items using the eCommerce features?
Yes you can. BC allows you to have media downloads for purchase.
Can I set up a mock shop on the free BC site?
Yes, you can start a free trial site that will allow you build and try out BC. Once you are ready to go live with the site you would pay to upgrade the site to a live site.
How much does the eCommerce upgrade actually cost? Like I said, we are a Creative Cloud subscriber.
The price is $38.88 per month (USA pricing. AU differs - more info here on pricing: US Monthly Pricing | Adobe Business Catalyst ) with Creative Cloud you have five basic sites with BC but to "upgrade" you pay the regular price for BC sites.
There will be some features that I will need to code, perhaps talking to another database, I understand that you can call out from the app to your own webservices etc?
There are APIs that allow you to talk to other services and send information back to BC.
You can find more answers by reading the KB: BC Help & support
On a side note, if you need help getting started with Business Catalyst I would happily offer my services. Send me a PM if you need additional help.

  • Form central + business catalyst + ecommerce issue.

    Hi all
We have a few websites and have been using form cental to create contact us forms, gift voucher ordering, and event booking/payment through paypal for these sites.
I thought that any results we got (ie names and email addresses) would be going directly into the business catalyst mailing lists so that when we send out a newsletter, those new enquiries and customers get it.
But Ive now realised there is no link between the too (frustrating)
So Im now wondering why i even need to be paying for form central.
Can I do all of that in business catalyst?
Also I tried to find out how to upgrade my BC to include ecommerce (since Im assuming I cant may gift voucher order forms and link to paypal with BC webmarketing plan)
I eventually found you have to go to BC: Site settings >Site management> and then there is supposed to be an option that says upgrade... but the only option it has is 'delete'!
Getting a bit frustrated, so Im hoping someone can give me a hand on this one. :-)
    Brian

    Hi Brian,
That is a different Adobe product for global use, and as you noted does not tie into Business Catalyst.
If you have Business Catalyast you do not need to be paying for Form Central, there is no where in the documentation that it states you need to use it. If you found somewhere that said you did, please let the BC support team know so they can update that information.
Upgrade should appear in the top left, if not and/or If you been using Muse:
    http://www.lawryk.com/my-adobe-blog/video-tutorial-upgrading-your-muse-hostin-with-busines s-catalyst
You will need to build web forms and mailing lists to have those work with BC and you will need to set up products, catalogs and use the payment from in BC for eCommerce.

  • Business Catalyst Customer Subscription Management

    Hi,
I am a business catalyst partner and web designer / developer.
I want to delete an old play site on BC, which was upgraded for one of my customers.
The site is under his subscription and I want to re-create a new site from scratch under his annual paid subscription for him.
The CRM Data as well other customer data in BC is not relevant and does not need to be migrated.
Is it possible to create a new site based on a different ecommerce template and re-assign it to my customers subscription / account, if I delete the old site before?
I would like to avoid a migration process from another site if possible as no data needs to be kept.
Though I find no function in the partner portal to delete a site without loosing the whole subscription of my customer?
I did rise a ticket with Adobe but it seems they proposing to do this for me in the background instead of me being able to do this on my own?
Is this a real limitation or do I not understand the process to do on my own?
We should be able to re-assign sites to different subscriptions and delete and recreate sites in BC without the help of the support and without loosing our customers subscription? Imagine how embarrassing to ask a customer that he has to give his credit card again even if he would get refunded for the time remaining which I daught by an annual payment method?
    Help would be greatly appreciated.
I am also happy to pay for someone who can explain me the process in detail as this topic is urgent for me.
    Dirk

    Hi Florin,
thank you so much for answering that question.
You seem to be very knowledgable and also thank you for the quick replay as very this case is very important to me.
Allow me one more question please?
If you say: Recreate the site on the same site, do you mean there is a way to re-install a free e-commerce template like the Boutique template on a site where the content and the site specific assets is either deleted or only half installed please?
The background is: When I creating this site with the free Boutique template from BCGurus something went wrong which I did not realise at the time.
The site was upgraded at the time to a payed customer subscription too early, which was clearly my mistake.
Instead I should have taken the time to test and adjust the template first and then upgrade the site to a paid subscription for my customer.
I did not escalate earlier as my initial thought was that I anyway have to change a lot about the site template to fit the needs for my customer with his specific design. (Vegas.jQuery landing page just to name one.)
    Some examples what went wrong:
The CSS folder was not created and the image folder is missing as well, also some parts of the web apps (that is the critical part I guess) have not been created correctly?
You can view the page at: http://chriscoachingservices.businesscatalyst.com/
    Troubleshooting:
To create a second working trial site and to copy all settings, and content over would be possible I guess, but it is a pain to use then BC ID Grabber and more or less hand re-create the web app's if I understand the case right?
Also I do not trust the site much that all e-commerce specific settings have been correctly rolled out?
The customer has not used the site yet as dysfunctional and has not CRM or custom CMS data in. In theory I should be able to copy (SFTP) the content from a working site with the same template over and run a search and replace ind DreamWeaver for the Web App and content holder specific ID's but people from BCGurus did let me know that this is quite a long and stressful procedure?
    The reason behind:
The to early upgrade was that the customer had the budget ready and also wanted his email addresses associated with the e-commerce solution early. Or I must have maybe delete some accidently while attempting to connect via dreamweaver. I can not replicate the case yet.
    Thanks,
    Dirk

  • Business Catalyst vs Drupal Comparison

Have a client with 3 sites on Business Catalyst and they have been using BC for over 5 years. They are the Australian subsidiary of a multi-national organisation and head office is looking to standardise worldwide on Drupal. The Australian CEO has asked for help in developing a comparison of Business Catalyst to Drupal so that she can counter the head office move. They have no internal resources to maintain the website and have always engaged our services for website maintenance, updates, SEO, etc. The industry this business is in is highly government regulated. Only one of the sites uses eCommerce and this is handled by us and an external logistics company. On a second site the visitor can request information (already packaged)  which we post as the client cannot see the names/addresses (due to government regulations).  As a result, email marketing is not possible.
Was wondering if anyone has some real recent comparative information please as opposed to what can be read on the internet. In particular I would be looking for information on maintenance, updates, security, plugins, ease of use ......
    Thanks
    Geoff

    Hey Geoff,
You could spend hours on this but the critical difference outside of features, scope of what you can do etc because that is really dependent on the exact needs of the project etc. If you feel you can do what they need to do in BC as well as drupal then your looking at the core factors:
    - A BC system that has its system closed off for better security, PCI compliance validation and high security features. To achieve the same in Drupal will be extra cost and there will be the constant cost and development that they would have to pay more on to achieve similar.
    - Support - Adobe run the servers on Amazon using some of the latest tech, resources, monitoring etc there is. They do this, they support both the hardware and the software side of it and that is factored into the yearly costs that they would be paying. For Drupal they would have to pay the server fee's, people to support them, hardware maintenance, the software and so on. You can always turn to Adobe for support on the site, Drupal may have some basic support but not as much.
    - Updates: BC is seamless and backwards compatible. There is a bug Adobe fix it, not you or the client, with Drupal that is something someone will need to do, any custom work on Drupal when there is an update needs to be re-done or maintained, any changes to code that will be needed to be able to support the update will need to be done. Any security breaches that come out because it is open source will need to be action right away. BC does not suffer from that same issue because it is closed off system but if there are updates and fixes that need to be done - They do it. And again that is part of the monthly cost - For a big Drupal site and this being important thats cost on top.
    - All in one features. You very may well get SSL certificates, site hosting, Email Campaigns, plugins all under the cost of what BC charge but that will be several different bills each month/year VS BC which is a one of to one company and thus easier to manage.
    - Integrations. Yep you may get better email campaigns with mail chimp but you have to setup and maintain the API connections between your drupal site and BC etc.
People like things like Drupal because your not restricted, But as you start to factor in all this - the costs start adding up and the internal work to maintain and handle a site takes up time.
With BC you can focus on the SEO, Digital marketing etc more, You either have to pay more or have more staff to handle that and maintain the website.

  • Muse-Business Catalyst Integration: Is it ever going to happen?

Back a couple years ago when Muse was announced, it was also announced that it would eventually feature integration with the content management features of Business Catalyst. That hasn't happened yet, to any meaningful degree. Is Muse-BC integration no longer on the development roadmap? Or if it is, could Adobe please provide Muse users with some concrete, specific, non-ambiguous details of what those plans are? Such as, what features, when? What features never?
I realize Adobe doesn't like to discuss this, but after all this time I think it is only fair to share this information with both the Muse and Business Catalyst communities so that we can make our plans moving forward accordingly.

    Chuck Braman a écrit:

That is why i decided to pay 2000$ US to become a BC premium partner...
After loads of tickets with the support team and filing in 2 bugs (That are not fixed yet after 5 months).
Should we start thinking about some sort of class action?, just saying.

  • Which apps come with a new Business Catalyst subscription and how do I get them?

Which apps come with a new Business Catalyst subscription and how do I get them?

    When you break it down..
    - Ecommerce implementation that hooks into payment gateways.
    - PCI Level 1 compliance
    - Intergraated SSL so you do not need to pay for a certificate
    - SAAS - Updates and new features auto installed which you do not have to worry about
    - Support access to Adobe support staff most of the week
    - Server support, mainatance etc which you do not have to do or pay for
    - Blog, eCommerce etc all in one and not having to pay extra for along with the big one...
    - Marketing system in there and 10 email accounts as well in there.
When you consider the stability and scalability and start adding those costs on other systems, to get to that level you would be paying as much if not more anyway and have your bits scattered across multiple systems trying to integrate them in.
