Suppress units & currency (e.g; EUR, HL, ...)

hi,
is it possible to hide in my results the currencies or units, for example EUR, USD, HL, ...
I already tried switching on and off the option "hide repeated key values" but this didn't help...
thanks a lot!
jorre

Joris,
to my knowledge, we have only these 2 options. one will show without dimentions. if we have several currency or units, it's not useful.
as you said one more option in Query Properties. i have used that option in BW3.1 it worked for me. i didn't work on BW3.5. if these 2 won't work... check with SAP. create a customer message.
Update the thread with your findings.
All the best.

  • Does anyone an Excel macro to display units/currencies next to its KF?

    Hello,
I need to change my BEX-display in the following way:
    Current:
    Order#           Amount (loc.Currcy)            Quanitity (BUOM)
    12345             1000 EUR                             5 ST
My idea is to have it as follows:
Order#           Amount            Loc.Currcy         Quanitity        Base Unit Of Measure
    12345             1000                EUR                     5                   ST
Ok, I know how to supress the units/currencies for the Key Figures. I also was thinking of using the units/currencies as characteristics but then they would be display right to Order #.  I want to have it in a new column right of its associated Key Figure.
I think I can do this with an Excel macro. As I'm not an Expert here, I'm wondering if someone already had done the effort to code such a macro and would be willing to share it with us.
    Thanks

Use the "Index Array" primitave under the "Array" sub-palette of the functions Palette. The array wires into the top input, and the index of the element you want wires into the bottom input - then the element of the array at the index is returned out the right hand side of the primative (I've attached an example VI).
    cheers,
    Christopher

    Hi,
Please create a calculated key figure and use the function NODIM
so you have will have a new calculated key figure = NODIM ( cube key figures)
Note - this will be fixed for this query.. you will not be able to change it at the report level... units can only be seen if you remove the NODIM

  • How to 'Suppress Units' in IP?

In SEM-BPS you had an option, when creating a layout, to 'Suppress Units' against key figures.  How do you do that in Query Designer for creating a Planning Query?
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Jaime

    Hi,
Use NODIM function in your keyfigure.
In Data Function, take the <i>Value Without Dimension (Unit-free)</i> function for your keyfigure.

  • Problem with field  KONWA-Rate Unit(Currency or Percentage) of table KONP

    Hi Gurus,
I m facing problem with field 'KONWA -Rate Unit (Currency or Percentage)' of table KONP. This field is showing ‘Currency’ and '%' both in table KONP. For some materials its showing currency value and for some its showing '%'. Due to which its creating load problems. My question is how this '%' is coming (means is there any calculation behind that or something else) in table KONP and how can I identify this.
I am sure u will have the answer for this question so Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
take the following example: you sell liquor to customers; in your country, when you sell liquor your company is entitled to pay customs and excise fees to governamental authorities.
These excises and duties are a percentage of the retail price. You'll then create such a condition record with this rate so that you calculation schema will post the correct value during the processing of billing documents...
    hope this shed light

  • Can i create IC  without  unit/currency dimention?

i am not having the key figures of type amount and quantity, in that case can i create the infocube with out creating unit/currency dimention.

    Hi,
These 3 r fixed dimensions - predeined by SAP. So you need not create any dimension for unit or time or datapackage. Just go to dimensions screen of ur iC. You ll find these 3 at the biottom of the screen as fixed dimensions

  • Units/currencies

    hi friends,
how to handle units and currencies info in bpc7nw? I heard with single account dimension, with properties(units/currencies)? what is best practice?
how frequently full optimization and lite optimization are used in case daily loads are happending from bi to bpc7nw?
    thanks,

    Raju,
units  can be  either  handled  as  different members  in the account Dimension or as a separate Dimension  containing your  various units, depending  on how  you  want to  use  them  in your  application and reports.
For  currencies- you need  a separate supporting application  RATE .. go through APshell  for  further  peek into the  actual  application.
    check these links

I  do  not  think  there  is  any  difference between lite  and  full  optimization on the NW side (probably  the SAP  TEAM can  confirm/deny the  same  and  throw  some  light  on this).
All  full/lite  optimization does is puts  an  end to  the ongoing loading  into  a  single  request  and creates  a  new  request for future  loads....so  it  depends  on your  application needs as  to  when/ how often you  want  to put  a logical end to  this loading  and  do the  optimization, so  that  the cube  and application is  easy  for  you  to  manage.
    hope  this helps..

  • How to suppress unit of measure in structure

    hi,
i am using a structure values based on fiscal period. I would like to suppress unit of measure for the values. For normal key values without using structure, I can suppress unit of  measure by function NODIM. But i am not able to use that here.
How to use it. pls reply.
    Thanks,

    Avneet,
I am not able to understand your question - if it is a key figure structure - you should be able to use NODIM in a formula...

  • Input Ready Query without unit / currency

    HI ,
In my input ready query, it is enabling along with the unit / currency. How to show the input ready query without unit / currency
if I use NODIM() function, it is not possible to creating input ready field.
Please suggest me is there any way to create input ready field without unit / currency.
    Thanks and regards
    Rajesh

    HI Hyma,
1.use the currency / unit field in the filter or drilldown
In this case if the query may have more than 2 fileds which are input ready having differnt unit/ currency, for Ex: Amount = Quantity * Rate
Currency for amount and Rate is INR and for Quantity is Tonnes. if I restrict both INR & TO in filter, in the system it will store both currency and unit for amount, rate and quantity.
    HI Andrey,
    2. 0CURRENCY or any currency IO that you use in ROWS of query
In this case also, if I use only one type of currency/unit as input ready then it is fine,, but in my query I want to use more then one currency/unit at a time.(As above Example)
Please suggest me how to solve this...
    Regards
    Rajesh

  • How to hide/suppress unit of measure for  values of columns in structure

    hi,
hi i am using following in rows and columns.
    Rows:
    1. material group
    2. structure (key figures)
         key figure 1
         key figure 2
         key figure 3
    3. base unit of measure
    Columns:
    1. structure (time scale)
        fiscal period 1
        fiscal period 2
        fiscal period 3
        fiscal period 4
If I run the report I am getting unit of measure for each key figure in each fiscal period. I wan to show unit of measure only once in a base unit of measure (row).
I want to suppress / hide unit of measure in columns (time scale - fiscal period). If I wasn't using strcture, I could have used NODIM in formula. But I dont think that I can use NODIM in strctuere.
    Is there any alternative.
    pls suggest. Thanks.

It seems that i have found the answer. I have checked the query properties --> check the option - Display scaling factors for key figures.
Pls let me know if  you have any other alternatives. Thanks.

  • Currency translation from EUR to USD

    Dear all,
Our local currency is TWD and we need to convert document currency in sales order from EUR to the third currency (e.g. USD) when executing BW query in BEx Analyzer. Currently we only have exchange rates for all currencies to TWD in exchange rate table. Except for defining exchange rate of EUR to USD in exchange rate table, is it possible to convert EUR to USD (e.g. convert EUR to TWD first and then convert TWD to USD)?

    Hi,
This info may be of help for you.
Check these tables Exchange rates are maintained here.
    Table TCURR - Exchange rates
    Table TCURF
Table TCURV - Exchange rate types for currency translation
    Table TCUR*
    Table TCURC - Currency Codes
The update of exchange rates is updating tables TCURR and TCURV. If you run at the same place the transfer of global settings, the tables TCURF, TCURS, TCURT, TCURV, TCURW, TCURX, TCURC and TCURN are updated.
For details check the programs RSIMPCUST (global settings) vs. RSIMPCURR (exchange rates).
You can maintain exchange rate factors in TCURF table via RSA1>source system>context menu (transfer global settings check only currencies)/transfer exchange rates, this updates TCURF table but also updates all currency related tables. You need to check what all tables you need to update. Also you can look into standard program RSIMPCUST to know what all currency tables will be updated.
If you want to maintain them directly in BW then go to SPRO > Genral settings and Currencies (SPRO -> Global Settings -> Currencies).
OB08 maintains the enties for currency conversion, here you can check whether the exchange rate is maintained to convert the currency from one curr to other.
    Thanks,

  • Currency Change to EUR

    Hi,
Can you please tell me what are all the steps to be known to change the currency from Slovakia(SKK) to EURO in the Hyperion Planning Application.
Advance thanks for your kind help...
    Regards,
    Upendra........

    Upendra,
Do you have existing historical data that is stored as SKK? If so, here's what I'd do. (This assumes that Euro's are already configured as one of the currencies in your app.)
    1) If you don't already have EURO as a reporting currency, I would set it as such.
    2) Update your FX conversion business rule to reflect the fact that EURO is now a reporting currency.
    3) Make sure you have the rates required to convert SKK to EURO. (and refresh your cube)
    4) Run the FX conversion business rule.
    5) Export all of the Slovakia data in Euro's. (Create a report script to do this.)
    6) Edit the Slovakia entity(s) and change their base currency to Euro.
    7) Clear Slovakia's data.
    7) Import the data for Slovakia (in Euros) you just exported into the LOCAL CURRENCY.
    8) Run your updated FX business rule and make sure that the Slovakia local currency equals EURO's.
At this point, if you don't need Euro's as a reporting currency, you can remove this and update your FX business rule. I would highly recommend doing this in a DEV environment first.
    Hope this helps,
    - Jake

  • Currency unit in Report painter

    Hi,
I met a problem when i maintain a report using report panter. Table FAGLFLEXT is used for the library, and I want to using currency translation function. I use Basic key figure "HSL local currency" and CC_HSL translation local currency for the report. But when i run the report, there is a problem, system tell me that can not find the unit of source currency, so can not translated to target currency. The data of local currency can be displayed.
i set the format of the local currency column, find that even i click "print the unit", there is no currency unit of the data, so I think there is some problem.
What is the problem? thank you!

    Hi Amir,
    Thank you for your answer.
I changed the key figue to "Crcy Transltn TransCrcy (Act.)" as told, and run the report again, but still have problem.
No valid exchange rate for currency translation from  to USD
    Message no. GR640
    Diagnosis
The system could not find a valid exchange rate for the currency translation.
    System Response
The system could not translate into the target currency.
    Procedure
Check the target currency, the exchange rate date and the exchange rate type.
I am sure i have maintain the exchange rate type and related rate.
The setting of "Define Currencies of leading Ledger" is "1 Translation taking transaction currency as a basis".
I think the problem is that the system cannot find the unit of the currency, so the error massage display as "No valid exchange rate for currency translation from  to USD". If can find the unit of currency, i thought the message should be like "No valid exchange rate for currency translation from EUR to USD".
If the unit can be found, I think after set the format of the column "print the unit", in the report the unit can be displayed. But in my system, can not display the unit.
What do you think about this? thanks in advance.

    Hi Sebastian,
Yes it can be possible to get the currency unit along with currency in ur report.
To do this, first of all u need to have the currency unit in ur flat file or else in ur data.
If u have so, here are the steps to do that.
1.Double click ur amount info object under 'currency/unit of measure tab' , in the unit/currency field just give as 0currency.
2.And then activate ur info object.
3.In Transformations u will find another field '0currency', just map it to the amount field.
and then do the process as usally loading data to target, and the execute the report.
u will be able to see currency unit filed also.
    hope this helps u.
    Thanks,
    Sai Chand.
