Supressing the effect of causing a submit when pressing Return

We have hit a problem with a JSP application that we have written. It
consists of a number of JSP pages.
The pages render data from Java Beans which in turn are populated by various database (ORACLE) querys. Once the data is rendered the user
can update the data in the fields.
The problem we are having is that when the data is held in a text field
and the user changes its value and then presses 'Return' (as opposed to 'TAB') the form is submitted and the database record is written
back to the database.
What we would look to do is to supress that action from happening, i.e
when the user presses 'Return' it does NOT submit, but rather navigates
to the next field. We would only want the submit to happen when
the user presses the 'SAVE' button.
Is there a way to override this default behaviour of HTML ?

JSP and various other languages can easily state what's supposed to be on the page, but they can't tell the browser what to do in certain circumstances. You'll have to use a browser-programming language (well, client side programming) and the only "common" language out there right now is JavaScript.

If you are able to use a multi-meter, you can test to see if the power supply is culprit. Use the Power Mac G4: Power Supply Voltage Test (Sawtooth G4) document to aide you in the proceedure.

The test description is for a MDD, but the basics are the same.

One should also replace the 1/2 AA PRAM battery.
Also, check that the 20, 22, 24 pin connector is properly fitted to the motherboard, and that the wires are properly inserted in the connector. There is also a 10 wire ribbon, which goes from the motherboard to the power button board. Make sure that the ribbon is firmly connected at both ends, and that there is no apparent damage to the ribbon.
If the power supply tests good in a MDD, the power switch board could be suspect.

How can I remember the last place I browsed? When I return to the main page it would be great if a marking of some kind would show the last place I browsed.

I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do but firefox calls favorites bookmarks, and has a variety of methods of making, sorting and displaying these, it also stores your 'history' and lets you see that or use it in the location bar search.

Spider scene: look at all the bad matting and mismatched black levels.
Balrog scene: bad compositing (esp. transparency where it shouldn't be), mismatched black and white levels.
I think those were the worst moments, but the whole movie had very visible compositing mistakes, plus more than a few 3D CGI mistakes (bad motion match, bad camera match, bad lighting match, bad level of detail matches, etc.).
When you work on this stuff every day, the mistakes just jump out (kind of like having perfect pitch and listening to a poorly tuned orchestra).

What are the effects to plug-in development when updating InDesign CS version to CC version?

The plug-in for InDesign CS6 is incompatible with InDesign CC.
InDesign CC is a 64-bit application, Cocoa native on Mac OS.
You need to use the SDK for InDesign CC, but not available yet.

Issue : OBIEE applying default prompt values when pressing return button

Hi All,
On my dashboard, I am showing a summary report. This summary report has a link to detail report. I have provided a link for detail report just below the summary report on dashboard. Following is the issue which I am facing
[1] I run the dashboard for a particular prompt value on the dashboard. Let's say a date value = '1/1/2010'.
(There is no default value for the prompt).
[2] Now my summary report is updated according to the prompt value which I selected.
[3] I click on any value on summary reports and it drill down and recalculated the metrics
[4] Now when I click on the detail report, i get the detail report too ( in a new window). The issue starts from here.
[5] When I click on return link from the detail report page, it takes me back to the summary report page ( I land on the report which I got from step 3)
[6] I click on the return button under the summary report (rememeber I had drilled down) to see the report which i get in step 2
But, when I click on the return button under the summary report, it changes the prompt value too and applies the default value to the prompt and provides me the initial summary report with default promt value. The report which I got in step 2
Whereas what i want is when I click on the return link then I should get the report which I got in step 3.
Why does OBIEE applies the default value when I try to return back to my original summary report. Is this an OBIEE feature or I have some setting issue ?
Hope I have been able to explain the scenario!

the issue is not about going back to the summary report ...the issue is when i click on the return link below the summary report after returning from the detail report ( which opens in a new window) then it takes me to the initial summary report ( which was loaded by default when the dashboard was loaded) with all the default prompt filters whereas my requirement is to go back to the summary report with the filters which users selected from the prompt ....

How do I get loops to keep the effect settings I hear when previewing?

When I place loops into a new track, the effects settings go away and it is simply a dry signal. How can I move a loop from the browser into a new track and have it keep the effects settings that I hear when I preview the loop?

If you drag a green MIDI loop onto the Arrange window space, it should create a Software instrument track with all the required plug-ins for the sound, so don't drag it to an already existing Software instrument track.
If you drag it to an audio track it will convert it to an audio file, so obviously the instrument/fx plug-ins wont be in the channel strip.

After reading this discussion thread, I've seemed to have solved the problem for myself. I'm using the Trend Micro PC-Cillin Firewall. I disabled it and the airtunes worked. So, I went into the firewall settings. There's the ability to edit the profile and add to an exceptions list. You select the executable program, select incoming or outgoing, I accepted the other default settings and it worked.

I have a scenario during an refresh upgrade to CUCM 10.5(2) where it fails in the install logs with "component_install:807, failed to refresh_upgrade Infrastructure_post components | <LVL::Critical>".
The fix to this may be that I need to uninstall the AUNP dialplan before upgrading.

If I leave the laptop alone for 15 minutes, when I come back I have lost my internet connection

I have been using firefox for about two months now without any problems. With in the past two weeks, if I leave the laptop to do something else, when I return to the laptop and go to check my E-Mail etc. I lost my internet connection. I check and says I have an excellent wireless connection but I am forced to re-boot and then I'm back on. "WHY"

What kind of documents? Office? iWork? Text Edit? What version?
What settings do you have in regards to power saver and/or screen saver?
For these kinds of system glitches I always recommend installing and running Onyx 'Automation'. If that does not work you should reinstall the offending software, if possible.

Was my upgrade used when I returned a New phone on the 3rd day I had it?

I opened an account in October of last year. I received an Apple iPhone 4S and then 3 days later returned it for a Galaxy S3. There is not enough information in your post for anyone to know if you are actually upgrade eligible. What I was saying is that IF you started service in October of last year then more than likely you are not eligible to upgrade as upgrade eligibility usually becomes available every two years of service.

Strange pops when pressing play and stop. Logic 9.1.3, Mac internal Sound

So I opened Logic for the first time in a while.
Logic Pro Version 9.1.3 (1697.87) 32bit.
Mac 2 x 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Mac OS 10.6.5
6GB RAM
I am using the internal Mac sound card, set up as follows :
Core Audio
Built In Line Output
IO Buffer Size 512
I am running ONE Mono audio track, with one Space Designer plug-In (mono>Stereo) inserted on the first insert slot.
There is nothing else playing back on this particular logic song.
Every time I press the spacebar for play or stop, I get a tiny delay, a pop, and then is starts, or it stops playing.
This is using the Macs' own internal sound card. With Logic's own Space Deigner, on ONE mono audio track.
SO, any ideas as to why this happens?
The only reason I opened Logic, was because I wanted to show a producer friend of mine some personal Space Designer presets I had made a couple of years ago, in case that was the type of ambience he is interested in using for a mix.
My plan was to use Logic as an effects suite, using a Motu 828mk3 conected via ADAT Lightpipe to my Pro Tools HD converter, to send and recieve 4 stereo sends and returns with 4 instances of Space Designer.
But, if Logic hiccups with the internal sound card... what will happen when I use the Motu? I dread to think about it, but will test it tomorrow.
At least I have two weeks to get this working or re-do my convolution reverbs in another plug-in (Waves IR1) that I can use in Pro Tools, in case Logic just does not work out.

The multi-purpose internal audio chips used in Mac's & PC's has some built in latency and seemes to default to a basic 16-bit 48kHz format. Any change from this and the chip has to change on the fly, I knew sample rate did this, makes sense bit depth might as well.
Some internal chips have a built in noise gate which can also cause a "thump". (rare)
Cheap or out-of-spec audio chips with a high DC offset will cause a pop when pressing "Play" and "Stop", as will an audio file that has a high DC offset.
