Log Message:
Change Group's measured minimum size computation.
In this change:
If a Group clips content or resizeMode is scale, then measured minimum is zeroed out.
QE Notes: A couple of FxContainer and FxDataContainer tests will fail. Other tests that depend on measured minimum size of a Group with clipContent="true" or resizeMode="scale" will fail and need to be updated.
Doc Notes:
Bugs: None

  • Can you change the units used for size and position in layout editor?

    Hello,
    In Aperture 3.4, does anyone know if you can change the units used for size and position in layout editor?  The page is set in inches, but the image size and position are given in centimetres and I would prefer to work all in inches to create custom layouts.  I can't see any way to change this.  If anyone knows how it would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

    Aperture uses the unit settings defined in the System Preferences.  Set the "Measurement Units" in the "Region" tab of the "Language & Text" preferences to "US"; the Aperture will display the Size & Position in inches, if it is the "Book" layout manager you are asking about.

  • Minimum size of SGA for the recovery catalog db ?

    I've created a recovery catalog database and by default the total size of the SGA is 180MB. Problem is, there isnt' much memory on development server to run the target and recovery catalog database (catdb).
    Would it be possible to startup catdb with an SGA of size 10 MB or so? What's the minimum size? I figured since catdb is only used as for the recovery catalog and would rarely be access or changed, it doesn't need to use that much memory.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi David,
    In 10g, the minimal shared_pool_size is 120M, otherwise you will get
    ORA-00371: not enough shared pool memory, should be atleast 123232153 bytes
    You can set java_pool_size to 0, which is NOT the default.
    You could also set the large_pool_size to 0, but I am not sure this is recommended.
    In 8.0 shared_pool_size could be as low as 300K. Read your Reference manual for the values specifics to your version

  • Setting a JLabel's minimum size

    Hello,
    I have a container with a GridBag layout, and when I resize to a size wher everything fits its fine, but on the bottom of the window I have a JLabel, which can be quite large sometimes. When it is large, its minimum size is the length of the string, so when I resize its container i get some big ugly scroll bars and its contents dont get any smaller, although every other component can be much smaller.
    What I would like is for the JLabel to have a minimum size (say 100 pixels) and if the window is resized less than this, introduce scroll bars, otherwise just cut off some of the text, as the label isn't very important!
    I have tried loads of different stuff, the most obvious being JLabel.setMinimumSize(new Dimension(100,16)); but nothing seems to have worked, can anyone help?

             public void updateVideoInfo(){
              String str = " ";
              str = "  " + videoData.getCurrentCameraProperties().getDeviceName()+" at " + videoData.getWidth() + " by " + videoData.getHeight();
              videoInfo.setText(str);
              int width = this.getSize().width - play.getSize().width - stop.getSize().width;
              videoInfo.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(width-15,16));
         public void validate(){
              updateVideoInfo();
         }I did a quick work arround, which I had tried before but didnt work for some reason... but has now
    But this would be awfull to change If i ever add anything in the future so I will look at what you said!

  • Have JFrame respect the minimum size (stop resizing) - Partial solution

    Hi
    I remember I searched for a solution to make JFrame respect the minimum size of itself or it's components, but unfortunately there is no solution, at least not a satisfactory one.
    The force-a-resize-if-it-gets-too-small "solution" looks really bad so I desided to drop the whole thing.
    However I've been testing around with different Look & Feels and changing the layout, and what I discovered is that when setting setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true) the minimum size is respected.
    I haven't seen anyone mentioning this I thought I'd post it here.
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    class RespectMinimumSize extends JFrame {
        RespectMinimumSize() {
         setMinimumSize(new Dimension(400, 400));
         setLocationRelativeTo(null);
         pack();
         setVisible(true);
        public static void main(String [] args) {
         JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);
         JDialog.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true); // Works with JDialog as well
         Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().setDynamicLayout(true);
         new RespectMinimumSize();
    }

    thanks - initial testing seems to work OK.
    (I had to add a panel, to be able to set minimum size to the panel)

  • AD CS Web Enrollment Error - "public key does not meet the minimum size required"

    I've installed a standalone root CA and a enterprise subordinate CA in our environment - both are Windows 2008 R2. Everything is working except for Web Enrollment using a custom User template. I duplicated the default User template and choose
    2003 Compatible for the new one. I changed the minimum key length to 2048 and set the validity period to 2 years.
    We'd like to avoid using the Advanced Certificate Request page, so I modified certrqtp.inc to point to the new template:
    Else
    ' Request types for enterprise
    rgAvailReqTypes(0,FIELD_TEMPLATE)="User-custom"
    rgAvailReqTypes(0,FIELD_FRIENDLYNAME)=L_UserTemplateCert_Text
    rgAvailReqTypes(0,FIELD_CSPLIST)="Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0?Microsoft Base Cryptographic Provider v1.0"
    rgAvailReqTypes(0,FIELD_CSPLIST2)="Microsoft Base Cryptographic Provider v1.0?Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0"
    rgAvailReqTypes(0,FIELD_EXPORTABLE)="True"
    nAvailReqTypes=1
    End If
    I also ran into this issue where Web Enrollment jumps straight to the Advanced page if the original User template isn't present on the CA:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserversecurity/thread/9ab514bc-1f9f-424e-b70d-705874d9c623
    So I have both User templates loaded on the CA, and I get this error back when attempting a certificate request using IE 8 or 9:
    Your certificate request was denied.
    Your Request Id is 25. The disposition message is "Denied by Policy Module".
    Contact your administrator for further information.
    Looking at the CA's Failed Requests section, I see this error:
    The public key does not meet the minimum size required by the specified certificate template. 0x80094811 (-2146875375)
    I double-checked our custom template and it does specify 2048 as the minimum key size.
    Also, when trying with Chrome 11.0, I get an extra option during enrollment asking for a key size (1024 or 2048). When I choose 2048, the certificate request succeeds. I don't get the key size option when using IE, though.
    We'd like to get this working with IE if possible. Any ideas?

    We had the same error message. The problem turned out to be on the requesting computer, not the server. When we went to renew a cert in IIS on a server it was generating a 1028-bit key request. Since the minimum on the server was set to 2048-bit
    the request failed. So, there's two ways to handle this. You can change the certificate template on the server to have a minimum set to 1024-bit or you can have IIS submit a new request for a certificate and choose 2048-bit as the size of the key during the
    wizard. We opted to have IIS request a 2048-bit key. The same would apply for whatever computer, device, or software you are using to form the certificate request.
    Your message is pretty old, but I am running on the same problem right now. I've added a custom template to select (with 2048) minimum length, but the webpage from the IIS by default provides just 1024-bit. Where can i optimize the IIS to use a 2048-bit
    key when requesting the certificate?
    When I open the same site with Firefox for example, i got a listed option (Medium / High Strength) to choose for the encryption. It seems that the high strength is >= 2048-bit.

  • On certain sites, some lines have the lower half missing. Changing the font or its size does not help. The error does not appear with Iceape or Chromium.

    On some sites certain lines appear with the bottom half missing, as if obliterated. Changing the font or its size does not help. The error does not appear with Iceape or Chromium.

    I looks that the whole line doesn't fit in the container, so the bottom part is cut off. The usual cause is that a font is used that takes more vertical space, so any increase or changes from the font in what the website prescribes can cause this issue. I've seen web pages that were even affected by changing the minimum font size from none to 1 (!). If you do not have the font installed that the website specifies then Firefox will fallback to another (default) font that may have different dimensions.

  • Unable to change group text name or add person to some group texts in iOS 8

    I really like the ability to change group text names as it helps me separate work group texts from personal especially when I have coworkers that have separate business phones. I'm unable to change the name of some group texts as the option is not there when I go into details. I'm also unable to add contact to the same group texts that I'm unable to change the name on. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

    Hi CaliWingsFan,
    If you are having issues with renaming and adding users to group texts, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
    First, quit all running applications and test again -
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
    Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
    iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

  • How can I select the minimum size of Elements 10? It won't install due to lack of disk space on C:

    I have just purchased and downloaded Elements 10. Can't install it due to insufficient disk space on my C drive. I have enough space on my D drive, but it will not install there, probably because my sustem files are on C drive. The Install wisard does not provide for a selection of the size of Elements 10. Is there a way to select the minimum size? If so, how can I do this?

    There is not an option to customize the installation.  The system requirements for Photoshop Elements 10 request that you at least have 4 gigabytes free, plus more for installation, how much free space do you have on your C drive?

    If you have a way to differeniate these measures you can add user defined measures in EIS. One way you could differeniate them is to put in filtering sql the uses like clauses to select members with Quantity or amount in them and have them put under the headings you want

  • Set minimum size for GridBagLayout

    Hi all,
    I have a dialog which using GridBagLayout. I spent quite a lot of time to test, but still got the following problems. Could anyone give me some solutions?
    1. How do I set the dialog to have a minimum size ?
    Since the dialog is sizeable, so I have to make this limitation to prevent the dialog being too small .
    I tried the following code:
            this.getContentPane().setMinimumSize(new Dimension(686,520));
            this.setMinimumSize(new Dimension(686,520));but it's still not work... , I can still resize it too small.. any other way ?
    2. How do I set its default size when dialog pop up?
    I don't know why the dialog always auto popup in maximum size.
    I have tried to use this.setSize(new Dimension(686, 536)); inside jbInit() function, but still not work...
    Please help ... Thanks a lot.

    Why dont you try this.setResizable(false);?

  • How to set Minimum size of JFrame?

    Hi,
    I want to set minimum size of my JFrame. How can i set it?
    I want to maintain a minimum size while resizing the JFrame. The user should not resize beyond the minimum size of JFrame.
    Any body knows solution, please post it.
    Thanks in Advance.

    One posible solution is to add a ComponentListener to the
    JFrame that implements ... (struggles to remember) ...
    componentResized().
    Inside componentResized(), check the size of your JFrame,
    and if it is smaller than your preferred minimal dimension,
    resize it up to your minimum.
    // in the constructor, perhaps, or initialization routine
    addComponentListener(
      newComponentAdapter()
        public void componentMoved(ComponentEvent e)
            Dimension size = e.getComponent().getSize();
            size.width = Math.max(size.width, myMinimalWidth);
            size.height = Math.max(size.height, myMinimalHeight);
            e.getComponent.setSize(size);
      }); Pity there's no setMinimumSize() like the JComponent class.
    Best of luck !

  • How to measure the size of a string

    windows app store how to measure the size of a string?
    string str = "Hello word windows app store";

    if you need the actual width the string occupies in pixels than use (see
    this MSDN link for more details):
    Graphics.MeasureString(String, Font)
    if you only need the "length" of the string i.e. no. of characters than use (see
    this MSDN link for more details):
    str.Length
    dont forget to bing / google :)
    hope this helps!
    Graphics.MeasureString(String, Font) can not use in windows store app.
    TextBlock has Measure()
    method, as following:
    Size MeasureString(string content, Size availableSize, double fontSize, string fontFamily="Segoe UI")
        TextBlock tb = new TextBlock();
        tb.TextWrapping = TextWrapping.Wrap;
        tb.Text = content;
        tb.FontFamily = new Windows.UI.Xaml.Media.FontFamily(fontFamily);
        tb.FontSize = fontSize;
        tb.Measure(availableSize);
        return tb.DesiredSize;
    Test:
    string str = "Hello word windows app store";
    Size size = MeasureString(str, new Size(800, 600), 40);
