Deprecate (mostly) creationPolicy="queued". This feature hasn't worked correctly since Flex 1.5.
The ContainerCreationPolicy.QUEUED property could not be deprecated due to a bug, but the Container.creationIndex property is deprecated, and the "queued" option is removed from the inspectable metadata enumeration.

This patch contains multiple changes, mostly renames, outlined below:
1.Rename properties in FxComponent: skinObject -> skin, skinZZ -> skinClass.
2.Rename property in Skin: data -> fxComponent (this also means Skin doesn?\226?\128?\153t implement IDataRenderer anymore)
3.Renames in DataGroup: Mostly around "skin" to "renderer" to get terminology correct
4.Random other cleanups: For instance changing typing of "*" to "Object" in ItemsComponent and DataGroup or removing some un-used imports in Group and GroupBase.
5.Lots of cleanup in flex4tests to deal with renaming of classes and renaming of properties
6.Gumbo-manifest.mxml - typo...some files listed as mx.componentss.* instead of mx.components.*. This file is going away as all components are moved into the 2009 namespace, but we'll fix this for now.
7.Defaults.css ?\226?\128?\147 FxDataComponent should be FxDataContainer.
8.SystemManger fix: this was in the previous SystemManager but got overwritten by a bad merge. Jim?\226?\128?\153s aware of the issue, and I?\226?\128?\153m checking in the fix for it.

GREATER THAN symbol appearing as &gt ; in SQL*Plus

Version:11.2.0.3
OS : RHEL 5.4
We are a Software vedor firm.We have sent our SQL files to our client to execute. But the codes for various procedures and functions were failing
because, in their SQL*Plus session (in Putty) the LESS THAN character < was appearing as &lt ; and GREATER THAN character > was appearing as &gt ;
In the original code which we had sent to them has no problems with > or < characters.

I checked with my client. They have put our scripts in Collabnet SVN version control and the implementor DBA will be provided the http URL .
Apparently SVN is accessed using http protocol and yes you are right it is opened through a browser by typing an URL like below
http://10.80.16.214:79839/svn/brcf/DBfiles/2012/WMHReleasel8/hrtb_pkt_wave.sqlFor most of the end users , the GREATER THAN character appears as > without any issues . For some users it appears as &gt ; . One potential cause is the difference in Internet Explorer version. They are currently looking into this.

NULL oracle_process_id in FND_CONCURRENT_REQUEST table

I am having a strange issue in Production environment. and it has happened twice in the last 1 months.
Issue --
few custom jobs run long but when I try to see the corresponding SQL, it has 0 hash value in the FND_concurrent_request table. All the subsequent requests of the same job also show are running (phase code and satus code = R) but with NULL oracle_process_id.
Due to NULL oracle_process_id, I am not able to see the associated database process and what the request is doing. This happens with all subsequent requests of the same job and as a result concurrent queue is full thereby causing other jobs in the same queue to wait
And this request with NULL Oracle process ID does not finish or complete unless CANCELLED from front or back end. But even after CANCELLING all such requests, subsequent pending ones also go in the same status.
I checked the concurrent manager log for this job and I dont see any error reported there. This behaviour is seen for 8-10 custom concurrent jobs. I dont see error in the ICM log as well.
Finally the queue becomes so choked that we need to bounce the application. Bouncing concurrent tier alone also did not help.
Other custom job in the same concurrent manager complete successfully.
Bouncing included
-- shutting down web nodes
-- shutting down application tier
-- Manulally cancelling all the requests with NULL oracle_process_id in FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS table
-- Manually killing all the left over 'applmgr' processes. These are most print queue processes whcih keeps coming despite clean shut down of the application
Even after we kill all the 'applmgr' processes, these print queue process come again after 5-7 min. Not sure why or if this is causing issue.
-- Database bounce along with the listener
--Starting the application
-- Same job now start completing fine and has the associated Oracle Process ID as well
Our environment Details
ERP version - 11.5.9 (RUP4 patchset)
Datbase - 9.2.0.6
OS - AIX 5.3 (application and db tier)
Web nodes - RHEL5
Pls help or guide with your input or if anyone has ever encountered any such issue before. This is really getting nasty because of PROD getting impacted.

SQL Reports Bad Idea Against RMAN Catalog?

11.2.0.1 SPARC 64
We use OEM to manage/execute our backups. The MML is NetBackup. One downside to this is that the "job" within OEM executes the backup for 20+ databases. In a serial fashion the backups occur in NetBackup...but most are queued - they throttle through and over time they complete. To this end, we have no way of seeing the true backup duration. We know the rman start and completion times, but they're not "actual."
I started looking at creating a sql statement/report/[pl/sql] block that would give us the granular informatin on the true timings of the backup "pieces" as they relate to a "set."
Research out on the wire shows a number of high level solutions, but nothing to which a report shows the data files, etc. Usually when I see this I start to question..."hey, is this even a good approach?"
I do realize that through the RMAN utility there are a number of reports which are available...this post, however, is focused on the idea of sql reports against the rman catalog.
Any advice would be welcome.
Conceptual report:
-> INCREMENTAL LEVEL 0
--> BACKUP SET
---> BACKUP PIECE
----> HANDLE, TAG, DATAFILE, START, COMPLETION
I'm NOT looking for the sql...I can work that out, I just want to know if this is a smart approach or best to stay out of the catalog.

Can't get printer working

I have CUPS running on a BSD server - I have had no problem connecting various BSD workstations and my own Macbook (OS X 10.4) to the published print queues, but my wife's Macbook (OS X 10.5) will not work. Under the default printers I should be able to click Add but it's grayed out.
Any ideas?

The Add button will only become available once the Print Using menu has selected, or you manually select, a print model/driver. For most BSD queues the Print Using menu should automatically select Generic PostScript. I can only assume her Mac is not able to determine the printer type and this is stopping the Add button from being available. If you manually select Generic PS, does the button become active?

How to setup QoS for IP/Mac Address WRVS4400N

I need some help setting up QoS for two Cisco/Linksys devivces on my network.
Network devices are Comcast SB6120 modem into WRVS4400n (v2.0.2.1 firmware) that divides into one 24 port gigabit Netgear unmanaged switch, 1 port into AT&T Cisco Microcell, 1 port to HP Officejet 7700 wired printer. Unmanaged switch has approx 10 devices attached (including another 8 port unmanaged gigabit switch). 3 static leases are defined for the network for three devices (HP OJ 7700 printer, Cisco/Linksys PAP2 VOIP adapter, windows home server v1. DHCP is handled by WRVS4400n. Comcast service provides 12mbps of service upstream, 4mbps downstream.
Need to setup QoS for AT&T Microcell and PAP2 VOIP adapter. The real issue that I can't figure out how to configure is IP based priority access. I can do rate control for an IP address but can't figure out how to specify priority control for an IP.
Here are my the current config questions:
1. Bandwidth management page: For the microcell device plugged into port 1, do i set the default CoS to 4 or 1?
2. Bandwidth management page: Should the bandwidth management type be set to priority? I assume yes since I need to define the UDP/TCP ports for priority. The major issues here are
a) one of the ports the Microcell uses is secure https (TCP 443) which is could also be used by any other internet device.
b) can't specify priority for the PAP2, since it's behind the unmanaged 24 port switch
3. QoS setup page: Do I need just 2 queues (one for the port ID for the Microcell and one for the IP address of the Linksys adapter)?
4. QoS setup page: I assume I need to define DSCP for the unmanaged switch but not sure how to tie a queue to an IP address
4. QoS setup page: Shoud priority 0 be set for the most important queue (microcell) and the priority 1 CoS be for the VOIP adapter? Again, not sure about how to define priority by IP address.
5. DSCP setup page: As far as I can find, there's no documentation on how to setup this page.

That's what I do. I keep it simple, one calendar, one set of contacts.
iCloud is really the simplest way to go, as it will sync your (eventual) single Contacts and Calendar across all your devices.
I would:
Figure out which single calendar (in Calendar.app) and contacts (in Contacts.app) that you want to keep.
I'd make a backup of each one. For example,
in Contacts, File > Export... > Contacts Archive...
in Calendar, File > Export... > Calendar Archive...
Make a backup of the other calendar events and contacts that you want to save.
delete all the contacts and calendars from your phones and your iPad.
add the contacts and events from the backups to the single calendar in Calendar.app and your contacts in Contacts.app on your iMac. There is probably some way to export the contacts and events you are adding, and then combine them, but you could also just add them manually.
Then when you configure all your devices for iCloud, they will be all synced automatically.

BPM Restart

Hi,
I am implementing an in 7.1 but have some doubts about the restart behaviour.
1: My understanding and experience is when the IP fails for any error and there is no exception branch to deal with it, you get the SYSFAIL in the queue and all messages behind it are stuck until the error IP is killed or restarted using sxmb_moni_bpe. Upon restart the process will continue for the failed branch.
2: When an IP fails and an excpetion branch is called, if an Alert is thrown then the process will continue down the exception branch and hence if you restart the process it iwon't begin from the last failure point, instead it will continue down the exception branch and execute any steps along the way there. Also if you handle the error with the exception branch and all subsequent steps are complete successfully then the process will complete successfully, hence you will see no entry in the sxmb_moni_bpe --> restart....
If any of the above is incorrect please let me know. Particularly about the messages getting stuck in the queue behind the errorneous IP. This behaviour is really not good and if in 7.1 there has been something added to get round the issue of queue blockages please let me know,

there is no exception branch to deal with it
The BPM should be designed in such a way that you handle the exceptions properly.....let it be Transformation exception or error in receiving back the response in SYNC flow.
Mostly the queues are stuck because the BPM design is poor....however if the system itself goes down during processing, then the queues will get blocked for all the processes....not only for BPM.
Do you have any particular error case in mind which you think could block the queues in BPM-processing
hence you will see no entry in the sxmb_moni_bpe --> restart....
The behavior is perfect.....see if you want that the BPM goes into error state, then instead of raising an alert Throw An Exception.

Missing log from fwsm

Hi,
I noticed that some of our fwsm traffic log is not appearing in the syslog server. I noticed in the show logging queue, it's reporting discard messages like below:

Does anyone know what it mean by this ? I have tried to increase the queue to 2048 but after a few minutes, it start to fill up and discard message counter increase. I tried to set unlimited but the Current Msg counter keep increment without going down. Does this mean the fw is dropping or the syslog server is too slow to serve ?

Disable local logging ...
Only test with logging trap 4 and then with trap 7.
Check your logging server and check trough a repeated ping if the connection is not dropping.

What causes memory use of my program increase? (Write to Spreadsheet? Running in LV environment? External dlls? Waveform graphs?)

I have attached a plot for the discussion here..
I am monitoring the memory usage by my VI thru calling a window's dll to keep checking that (Many thanks to Matt).
I saw raising slopes and flat (wow! First time I catch this, that's what I am expecting)
I am thinking where could there be a reason for memory growing up!
What I did:-
1. Mostly use queues (all limited # of elements) for parameters delivery between loops and between subVIs
2. I close Obtained queue ref. every time I finish with it (only leaving a few keeping alive so they won't be killed)
3. For all arrays I initialized with a fixed size array constant and do all jobs with Replace subset, Index Array and that In-place block.
Above are measures I intended to use to save memory.
However for a few points I think there might cause a memory grows, and I wish that someone can share with me your experience or give me an answer...
1. Write to spread file:-- I keep using this to log data, events into harddisk, in my use I always append new logs/data to the existing file, however I keep doing it all the time throughout the run-time.
2. Running my program in LV.exe -- I havn't compiled it yet. However when I was taking the plot's data, my PC is left with no one using it.
3. There is a couple of external dlls running -- however it sounds to me from other's view point, external dll's resource doesn't count into Labview.exe. Since I am monitoring Labview's memory use, that couldn't be a source of the raising I see from this plot, right?
4. Waveform graphs -- I am not sure whether this can be a problem. Everytime I feed data into a waveform control, I initialized a constant array and then replace elements into it, I don't think my data source is casuing any problem.
Can someone comment on my above descriptions of my program?

Write to spreadsheet file is a high level VI that opens and closes the file with every call. I would recommend to open the file once at the start of the programs, then append using lowlevel functions. Close the file after the program is done.
Have you done any profiling to see which subVIs shows the bulk of the memory use?
You might also turn off debugging to see if it makes a difference. Don't open the front panel of subVIs (and avoid functions that force the front panel to be in memory) unless they need to show something important to the user.
It would really help if we could see some actual code. Can you strip it down to the essentials that still show the problem?

failover is functioning
i see log messages sent (UDP514) to the syslog server from the primary
Standby logging is enabled.
However, i see no log messages being generated to the syslog.
Am I missing something in this scenario?

Hi Bruce,
Did you try clear logging? If not, i would suggest to do the same.
Please do "show logging statistics" in affected contexts and see if the counters like "host" are increasing. Also, please do "show logging queue" and see the below counter's value:
switch/Admin# show logging queue
        Logging Queue length limit : 80 msg(s), 8 msg(s) discarded.
        Current 0 msg on queue, 5 msgs most on queue
By default, logging queue would be 80. If you see it is 0 please increase it.
Also, do "show resource usage" in affected and look at the counter's highlighted below:

If you see the last counter on right increasing then there is a resource problem. Also, do "show resource allocation" and see if you have any minimum resource guaranteed or not. Generally, if you don't any number in right-most column, you don't need to worry about resource crunch. But it is a good practice to have some minimum guaranteed to each context.
Coming to your question of sending logs from specific interface, i don't see any way of doing it. i guess it will send logs from the interface through which the syslog server is reachable. But you can always make the ACE to define the interface or hostname as a device-id to be included in the log messages it will send, even though the actual interface through which the log sent is different.

Selection of agent algorithm

I have an agent who is a member of 2 queues.
Queue 1 is selected by "most skilled" and he is a 3 which is the lowest of any agent in that queue.
He is also a memeber of Queue 2 which is selected by "longest available agent. He is top ratedof a 10 in that queue.
So when the gaent becomes availavle we want him to answer the call in the queue he is top rated in.
However, he always gets the next call from the "most skilled" queue instead, even though he has the lowest rating of all 50 people in that queue.
Any ideas, Thanks!

If Queue 2 is selected by "longest available agent. The will his top rating of 10 not get ignored anyways? As rating is only applicable is Most Skilled routing anyways?

The problem with submitting a bug report is I don't know how to replicate it.
The java file showed up on the "Referenced Libraries". I removed it from there and it fixed the problem.
If I return it to the classpath via Eclipse it doesn't demonstrate the problem.
I don't know how it got into the classpath to cause this problem. I even tried editing the classpath (which I'm fairly certain was not how the problem was caused) but that didn't replicate the problem.
I didn't check the .classpath to see what the entry was before I removed it via eclipse so I don't know what the entry looked like. The problem wasn't in the version is SVN so I don't know how to find what changes were made.
If you sill want a bug report I can enter one but with out any instructions on how to replicate it.

Mostly rename changes. IVisualItem -> IVisualElement. IVisualContainer -> IVisualElementContainer. Also changed the APIs so that it's addElement, removeElement, etc.. instead of addItem, removeItem, etc... Moreover, all of these APIs have been added to IVisualElementContainer (not just the read-only ones). Now there's a common interface for all containers (even Halo's Container class implements it). There's no more need to do:
if (x is Group || x is FxContainer)
Just use the IVisualElementContainer interface.
Some classes, like FxScroller (and perhaps DataGroup/FxDataContainer), will only implement the "getter" part of the API. For now, if you call the mutation methods, we will throw an exception. Perhaps later we'll add a separate interface for the read-only portion and the mutator interface will extend that one.
There might be a few more places in the code that need to be updated to use the new names for the methods. I know Mustella needs cleaning up so it doesn't use getItem and uses getElement instead. I've left the old APIs in there exactly for this purpose, so we can gradually move over to the new names (esp. QA).
At some point soon, we will remove the old methods as well as type them more strictly to only accept IVisualElements, for example addElement(element:IVisualElement). Part of this work is dependent on updating the Flash Component Kit so that it implements IVisualElement (and perhaps IVisualElementContainer for containers).
Ran checkintests and all gumbo mustella tests.
