SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING error

Hi all,
In transaction SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING, when I run the customizing step:
Maintain Runtime Environment -> Schedule Background Job for Deadline Monitoring
I have SP14.
I get this error:
Error within CL_SWF_ADM_JOB_FACTORY=>GET_INSTANCE
Any ideas? Or a way to debug this?
Thanks,
Gökhan

I solved my problem.
This is an SAP Bug, which is fixed by applying the note:

    Dear Experts,
Basis team is performing PI 7.1(EHP1 - SP04) readiness check. We are not able to activate Configure RFC Destination. Please refer the following attachment.
We have checked if WF-BATCH user got locked. It is fine and in unlocked status. Is there any setting which are missing? Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Phani,
Create a RFC connection of type R/3 in the transaction SM59.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/26/64f62cfa8911d386e70000e82011b8/frameset.htm
    Or you may go to:
    Tcode SM59 -> R/3 connections -> Create
    1) Give RFC destination name.
    2) Connection type - 3.
    3) Technical settings tab -> Target Host -> give the Application Server name -> press enter.
The IP address automatically gets filled up.
    4) Logon security tab -> Assign the Logon details.
Also, on the button of the image you posted there is a:
"No Language Can Be Defined for the RFC Destination"
    Check for that too.

    Hi,
Hereu2019s a list of common errors/problems in SAP XI and their possible resolutions. This Guide will help you troubleshoot your integration scenarios in SAP XI/PI. This is in no way an exhaustive list. You can add your points/ideas to this list. Please feel free to post your inputs using the comments form at the end of this article.
    Cache Update Problems
Use transaction SXI_CACHE to update the Integration Directory cache. Alternatively, you can use the following URLs to update the CPA cache. Use XIDIRUSER to refresh the cache.
For complete cache refresh - http://<hostname>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
For delta cache refresh - http://<hostname>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=delta
If this does not solve the issue, check transaction SLDCHECK to ensure that connection to SLD is available. If the connection fails, check the configuration in the transaction SLDAPICUST. Make sure that the password maintained is correct and the maintained service user is not locked.
Now in the Integration Repository go to Environment u2192 Clear SLD Data Cache. Also go to Integration Directoy and clear the cache using menu Environment u2192 Clear SLD Data Cache.
Open the XI Start Page and click on Administration. On the Repository tab, choose Cache Overview. Refresh the cache using the buttons/icons on the right. Use XIDIRUSER to refresh the cache. Carry out cache refresh in the same way on the Directory and Runtime tabs.
If you are facing cache update problems in your BPM (say you have modified the BPM, but when executed old version of the BPM is picked up instead of the new one), run the transaction SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING and press F9 carry out automatic BPM/Workflow Customizing.
    Routing Errors
    NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE or NO_RECEIVER_CASE_ASYNC
This means no receiver could be found. Check your Receiver Determination. Activate and update cache. Asysnchronous messages can be manually restarted.
    TOO_MANY_RECEIVERS_CASE_BE
More than one receiver found. Check your ID configuration to ensure that there is exactly one receiver for the synchronous message. Multiple receivers for synchronous interfaces are not permitted.
    Mapping Errors
    JCO_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE
Check whether RFC destination AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER is correctly configured
    NO_MAPPINGPROGRAM_FOUND
Ensure that mapping program exists and is activated. If it exists then update the cache.
    EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE
This error occurs due to erroneous XML formatting. Check your mapping program and ensure that you supply valid input data.
    Messages stuck in queues
Check the queues using transactions SMQ1 (outbound)/SMQ2 (inbound). Resolve the displayed errors. You can cancel the messages from SXMB_MONI. Execute LUW if necessary and avoid deleting entries manually.
    Conversion Errors
Unable to convert the sender service XXXX to an ALE logical system
This error occurs in case of scenarios with IDoc adapters. Whenever you use business systems, make sure that the corresponding logical system name is maintained in the SLD.
Open your business system in the Integration Directory. Switch to Change mode. Access the menu path Service u2192 Adapter Specific Identifiers. Click the button that says u2018Compare with System Landscape Directoryu2019 and chose Apply. Save and activate your change list.
In case of business services, you can manually type a logical system name in the Adapter Specific Identifiers if required. This name should match the corresponding logical system name defined in the partner SAP systemu2019s partner profiles.
    Errors on the outbound side
Sometimes the link between SAP XI and the target system (say ERP) goes down and messages fail on the outbound side. It may not be possible to restart them from using RWB or the transactions like SXI_MONITOR/SXMB_MONI. In such cases, you can follow the procedure outlined in the following article - Dealing with errors on the outbound side.

I tried deleting the queueus in smq1 and smq2.It did not solve the problem. The test connection for INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI in sm59 is also working properly. But I don't see any entries for t-RFCs in sm58.
Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?
    Regards,

    Hi Puloma,
    1. go to TCODE: SWEL and check if you have any errors over there
    2. go to TCODE: SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING
    - maintaint runtime environment
    - configure RFC destination
and check if the password for user WF-BATCH is correct

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario in which data flow from JDBC => BPE => ECC.
while sending data from JDBC to BPE adapter, faced below error in SXMB_MONI.
    "Error in BPE Adapter Processing"
In SXMB_MONI, Overall status displays as "Manual Restart Possible" error as attached below.
I completed the all configuration related to SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING and SXI_CACHE.
also my Integration process has return code 0 in SXI_CACHE.
I also want to know what are the software's required in PI related to BPM for both JAVA and ABAP Stack. i have a SAP PI System with version 7.31.
Please guide me to solve this error and also inform me if any configuration related to BPE adapter is missing or not.

Its a bit generic error. So many things could be checked:
    1. In SWWL, delete the earlier running instances before running the new scenario.
    2. Reimport the IP in ID again. Save, activate and try running your scenario again.
    3. In tcode sxmb_adm_bpe - Automatic BPM Customizing, check for the error.
    4. Check if SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING appears green.

  • BPM Error: BPE_ADAPTER MESSAGE_NOT_USED

    Hi,
we have an issue in our XI production system, where message is not reaching BPM and its giving below error.

      </SAP:Error>
    We carried out following steps:
    1. Did cache refresh using Tcode 'sxi_cache', IP object is giving return code as "99".
    2. We deleted the Integration Process object from Integration directory and reimported the object from Integration Reporsitory again.
    3. We re-imported the IR object from QA server again in Production, but it still didn't work. (It is working fine in QA environment).
    4. We went through following SAP Note 901366 & 910437 (Both have been applied).
Can you please help us resolve this issue at the earliest.
    Regards,
    Ashish

    Hi Orit,
We had this issue because workflow customizing object for use of xml object types was not activated in our system.
This issue was resolved using tcode 'SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING', and activate 'Activate Use of XML Object Types'.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Error Business Process Engine

Good afternoon, first of all thank you very much for the support they can provide. I have developed a JDBC interface -> BPM (Multimapping) which works well. Modify a Message Mapping in the BPM that I use for an RFC Lookup, I have added the Configurable Parameters in the BPM and Integration Directory and everything works fine at design time. But when running the interface at run time the message reaches the BPM and the error "error in BPE inbound Permanent processing".
I have reviewed the Business Process Engine in the RWB and the item is Red Schedule Background Job for Reorganization and detail reads: "Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled".
As I can solve this problem. Thank you very much.

    Hello,
Please go to trx SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING and check if all nodes are green.
You can run the Automatic Customizing there to schedule the job for reorganization.
    Kind regards,
    Sarah

  • BPM Cache Error

    Hi All:
I am getting strange error in SXI_Cache. The moment I import the IP (BPM) in ID and activate it, ABAP cache becomes RED and says " Cache Contents is obsolete". Can any one let me know why XI is behaving like this?
If I delete the imported IP from ID, then cache becomes green.
I check SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING and found this error:

on running the scenario..i get the error in the MONI
    Error Category: BPE ADAPTER
    Error ID: UNKNOWN MESSAGE...
    whats the reason???????

    Hi,
    Tcode : SXI_CACHE
Select your integration process which you created in IR and activate.
again you will get the return code is 2 and again activate your integration process until you will get the return code is '0'.
Prerequisite for BPM : check tcode : SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING
all are in green hook , if not get all are green hook

  • Error because of e

    Hi XI gurus,
I have a simple BPM which takes input from JDBC and maps it to an IDOC and then sends it to a R/3 system.
For error handling purposes I have used correlation. If some error record is found, the bpm stops at a recieve step. So to restart the BPM, we need to send again a message to BPM.
This is where the problem comes, the incoming message shows the chequered flag in the 1st coloumn in SXMB_MONI, but a red flag in the 'Outbound Status' coloumn.
Moreover when I click on PE just before it, It does not take me to the BPM workflow log, but to some 'Event Queue Administration' (TCODE SWEQADM).
I tried to find the answer in previos threads, which suggested folloing:
    1. activate the IP using SXI_CACHE
        - done.
    2. clearing SLD data cache.
        - done.
    3. re-importing the IP into the ID.
        - done.
    4. delete the erroneous work list usinf SWWL.
        - not authorised to use this transaction.
    5. do something with tran. SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING
        - but no idea what that meant.
I am at my wits' end.
    Help me out.
    Thanks
    Raghav

    Hi,
I somehow am not very clear with the logic that you are using here.
<i>For error handling purposes I have used correlation. If some error record is found, the bpm stops at a recieve step.</i>
Does this mean that, you have not done any configuration (for ex: error handling branch) to handle such error? if this is the case, the BPM errors out at the receive step, without further processing(a runtime error, and hence you see a red flag in the outbound status column in moni).
<i>So to restart the BPM, we need to send again a message to BPM.</i>
Since you have used correlation, your BPM is already running, but has stopped, due to an error at the receive step. You cannot restart it by sending a new message.
    Regards,
    Smitha.

  • Automatic workflow customizing SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING

    Hi Friends,
I am getting issues with "Automatic workflow customizing - SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING". Can you all please look into this? The problem is
I entered the transaction "SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING". There i can see that all are not GREEN.
Under "Maintain Runtime Environment", i have following items RED:
    1. Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines.
    2. Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors.
Under Maintain Definition Environment, following item is RED:
    1. Check Entries from HR Control Tables
Everything else are GREEN. Can you please let me know why the above are RED and How to make it GREEN?
I have implemented FILE TO IDOC scenarion using BPM and getting a error of 99 in SXI_CACHE. Is this problem is because of the above are RED?
    Thanks
