I'm switching my 928 to a replacement 928. How do I make sure my apps come with me?

Use the same Windows ID, or windows live email acocunt to set up the phone, and you can get all your apps, pictures and videos, all the things you uploaded to your Windows One drive will sync right back to the new phone.

If you really need to upgrade you can save a bit of money and get an older version than the ipad Air.
First, you can sell your ipad 1 to places like gazelle.com, cashforyourmac.com, sellyour mac.com, or many others out there. The sites I listed give you cash. At this point gazelle.com is giving $70.00 for any ipad 1 in 'good' condition. And cashforyourmac will give you $25.00 over what gazelle.com or sellyourmac.com offers you. Shipping is free.
Then, with that money, go the the Apple online certified refurbished store. As an example, a new 64gb Air costs $699.00. A refurbed 4th gen 64gb costs $529.00 and a 3rd gen 64gb costs $499.00. Personally, I'd skip the 3rd gen. So if you buy a 4th gen 64gb at $529.00 minus what you can get from a sale to above, you can get an ipad 4 64gb for just over $430.00, a savings of savings of about $270.00. (A new 32gb Air is $599.00, a 4th gen 32gb is $449.00, and a 3rd gen 32gb is not on the site right now.) Google it and check if you can get better offers anywhere else. Switching devices and Downgrading from Z10 OS10 to 9800 OS6

i recently upgraded my Blackberry Touch 9800 running OS6 to a Blackberry Z10 Running OS10
i am not to impressed with the battery life and features of the Z10. Now i need to downgrade i.e. switch devices back from Z10 to 9800.
The Z10 using Desktop Link and the 9800 uses Desktop Manager.
Trying to Switch device does not work.
Can anyone please advise on what to do?

BlackBerry doesn't think anyone will want to switch from the Z10 back to a BBOS device so they haven't built any type of device switch for that direction. Hopefully, as the poster before me stated, you have a backup from your previous device that you can restore to the 9800.
Note: Do NOT attempt to put the micro sim into the 9800 using any kind of sim adapter. I ruined my 9810 attempting to do that. The sim got stuck and wouldn't come out. It ripped out one of the sim card contacts. Just giving the word of caution.

I have an ipod touch and my wife bought me an iphone. While I was deployed, she used the iphone with her itunes account. We would like to switch devices (and apps). Is this possible?

Purchases are tied to the AppleID you used to make them, so not tied at all the any particular device.
If you backup the iPod to your computer accounts' iTunes, then just restore her iPhone from your iPod backup. She can do the same thing for the iPod. You will have then switched their configurations over from one device to the other.

Is it possible to format the entire macbook and saving apps like microsoft word on a harddisc and then just reinstalling them without having to buy an other licence?

I think you would have to reinstall the keys seeing that if you format the computer all the data is gone. Even though you backed up that data you never know what can happen when you try to reinstall certain apps. Not sure what method you can go by, you should run a diagnostics test to see how you computer is doing internally.

Can you change devices and keep all of your same apps if they are not saved on iCloud?

Looking to get a new device - have a 4s want to get a new one to replace my current - and I want to avoid downloading all of the same apps that I currently have on my phone without purchasing more iCloud space.
Does anyone know if there is an alternative to purchasing more iCloud space? Would be very helpful.

With the new device you can go to the app store and iTunes and tap Purchases and redownload...you can also login to iCloud with the new device and sync apps.

Z10 switch devices fiasco

I've just spent 3 hours trying to get a replacement Z10 up and running (still not got all my settings or Apps sorted). I cracked the screen on my last Z10 and the insurance company sent out a replacement. I backed up everything through the Blackberry Link desktop software, so imagined it would be a simple matter to switch devices and have all my settings, data and apps transferred. Problems started with the fact that the "switch device" option in BB link needs you have your old device available when you try use this service. I had to give the courier my broken handset when he dropped of my replacement, so I didn't have it available. I imagine someone who has lost their phone or if it's completely unresponsive would also have the same problem. This is a really bad oversight on Blackberry's part!! Next I tried to use the back up I had saved from my broken phone. This wouldn't work at first because the "personal files" were not present on the new handset. I finally got that sorted, but then had to go through everything again manually to try get my phone even close to what it was like before. So now in my BB Link software I have two phones listed, but can't merge them (and I'm not going to delete the old one till I'm 100% sure I've got everything in place). Come on Blackberry, sort this out!! I'm a tech savvy guy and I found it excruciating trying to deal with all this. You had such an amazing opportunity with the launch of BB10 and you have totally messed it up. Your old operating system might of been dated, BUT at least it worked!! (I was using one of my old Blackberry's while I waited for the replacement). I really don't want to see the end of this company, but if they keep shooting themselves in the foot like this, I don't hold out much hope for them.

In app purchase for the Simpsons tapped out didn't go through and now app won't open

I bought donuts on the Simpsons tapped out app n it went to iTunes and I did in app purchase, and now my app won't open and it seems like my phone is trying to download it keeps asking me for my apple password when app shuts down, I tries to delete app and reload it, it doesn't help I also retuned phone to default setting still nothing, i can go on my other devices and load app but it doesn't show my purchase, did this happen to anyone else and did u find an answer to fixing this problem????? Please Help!!!!!

I had this same exact thing happen. The problem seemed to occur when I tried to do an in-app purchase and my iTunes Apple ID needed payment verification. Tapped Out triggered the iOS to open the verification part of the App Store. After verification iOS asked if I wanted to proceed with the purchase. I hit "ok". The App Store was trying to handle the in app purchase like it was a regular app purchase. When I went back into Tapped Out, I was met with an error message stating that the purchase has been made, and it was waiting for download. I also couldn't initiate any more in app purchases. When I quit and relaunched Tapped Out, it flashed the loading screen and then quickly crashed. Followed by a prompt for my Apple ID password.
The disconnect here is somewhere in the coding from Tapped Out to the iOS. Tapped Out is asking for authorization on a in app purchase and the iOS is trying to initiate a regular app purchase.
I have tried erasing and reinstalling Tapped Out. I have tried signing out of my iTunes account and launching Tapped Out. I have tried "Resetting All Settings" from the general setting panel in iOS, which usually fixes everything... Nothing is working though.
I was able to download Tapped Out on a different iOS device (all running 7.0.4 btw) and was able to run it, sign in with my Tapped Out login and Apple ID. I was even able to initiate the in app purchase fully. So this tells me that the bug here is buried deep in the preference of iOS 7 on my original device, not the Tapped Out account or my iTunes Apple ID.
The sure fire answer to solve this is to do a clean erase and restore of the device. I really don't want to do that though because it will get rid of my current camera roll and my text history. Plus I'll have to resync all my music and that takes a while. I'm hoping the bug just times out and the app refreshes itself... But I'm doubtful of that. I think we are the unintentional collateral damage from some sloppy coding on EA's part. A clean erase and install might be the only answer. Hopefully it will rectify itself though...

Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

My iphone 4 conked out.it was not receiving signal so I switched on and off. But instead of taking me to the apps page it showed ios6 and asked me to go to itunes for an update.instead of updating it asked me to restore settings.now only logo appears

Did you do the update via iTunes?
If you are only getting the logo will want to try to see if can get device in recovery mode and try the restore process via iTunes again.
If you are still unable to get the device to restore will need a repair

Sony album and music app not finding files on device,

Hi just got my new Sony Xperia Z3+ device and found a couple things I cant get my brain round and would appreciate some assistance.
By the way my phone has no external sd card in it, plain phone memory.
1. I got an app called rocket player with a lot of music, yet sony music app seems to think there are no songs on my phone.
2. when i open rocket player and select song and state use as ringtone and then check it in setting its still the previous/ original ringtone from the device, i press the top right and again no songs displayed.
3. I have same isue with photos, I have downloaded images from my dropbox saved on to device and sony ablum app will not display any of my photos. Today my mrs sent me a lot of photos through whats app and NONE show in sony ablum. I even created 2 folders in sony album went to file commander and moved some photos into the two folder locations, open sony album and again NOTHING apart from orginal photos either taken by phone camera or screenshots.
Can someone help me fix these annoying issues. appreciate it.

Issue has now been resolved..
Rang Vodafone as nothing was working, as I was withing my 14 days of a new contract they sent me out a device to see if that could have been the case.
Well setup new one exactly the same way but no issue right from the word go, music imported from computer went into the phones Sony album and again photos download from Dropbox or what's app appeared in phone album app..
So think it was a faulty device

GreenPower battery saving app and "my Xperia" service

I have recently migrated from an iPhone to Sony Z1 on EE, and I have been pretty happy with this transition.
The only thing I have noticed is that the Stamina mode was not performing as I was hoping, so I downloadd a third party battery saving app called GreenPower. This app has significantly increased the battery life of Z1 to the point where I'm only charging the phone every few days.
The nature of this GreenPower app is to automatically disable WIFI and Mobile Data while the screen is switched off, unless you specify a whitelist of apps to keep data enabled if the apps are active. Unfortunately, this mechanism stopped "my Xperia" service from being able to locate my phone.
What is the "exact" mechanism in which "my Xperia" service locates my phone? Is there a process on my phone that polls, or push from my Xperia service?
Any suggestions on the list of processes to add to my white list of apps in GreenPower? I have added "my Xperia" app to this list but this did not help.

MyXperia needs the data to be on or wifi, third party apps will create issues with other apps, there isn't a way around it, other than uninstall such apps.

I Can't Switch between 'power-saving GPU' and 'High-Performance GPU' in Catalyst Control Center

Whatever if my computer was only on the battery or was only plugged in to the main power supply. In Catalyst Control Center, I noticed that 'High-Performance GPU' was always selected', although the 'automatically select power-saving GPU when on battery' was enabled. Also, When I tried to switch into the 'power-saving GPU', there was no response at all. However, when my laptop was only on the battery, I noticed the the try of switching into 'Power-Saving GPU' results in shutting down my computer suddenly.
Thus, I had to open the Device Manager, then I disabled 'Radeon HD'. After that, 'power-Saving GPU' was selected(Screen shot below), regardless of whether my laptop was on only the battery or was only plugged in to the main power supply. To switch it into 'High-performance GPU' again, I only must enable 'Radeon HD' in the Device Manager since clicking on 'High-performance GPU' in the Catalyst Control Center didn't respond.
As conclusion, 'High-performance GPU is always selected, regardless of whether my computer was only the Battery, or was only plugged in to the main power supply. To let 'power-saving GPU' is selected, then 'Radeon HD' must be disabled in the Device Manager.

Devices and app finder not appearing in spotify for desktop

Hello everyone! Someone can help me? The Devices and app finder tab is not showing up for me in my spotify in version dekstop. And I'm not able to sync my song from my "local files" to my iphone. On my iphone:

Apps have been disabled since v1.0.1, see related threads and ideas about external apps. Device sync is possible in individual playlists with the "Available Offline" switch on the right side of the header, as far as I know.
