Syntax for url

hi @ all,
i want create an url which contains an item on one page and a column name of a report like #column_name# in another page. it must be possible that the url fills the item at the one page with the column value of a row on the other page.
can me help someone with the syntax of the url or is there a special thread
thanks

I don't know what you mean but I'm pretty sure there is no way to do anything like what I think you might mean. If you describe an example in precise detail, someone will probably be able to give a better answer.

  • Authentication syntax for HTTP GET method using TCP functions in Labview on linux

    Hi,
    Currently, I am trying to communicate to web server. I have Labview installed on a Linux machine. The HTTP function blocks and other labview functions do not work. Hence, I am building a HTTP code string using TCP functions (port 80) to talk to the web server. I am successfully able to fetch a response from web sites (example www.ni.com) from my vi. However, when I try to communicate to my web server, it does not work. It requires an authentication. I am able to open http://ipaddress in my browser from my machine using username and password. Can someone help with Authentication string requirement for GET method?
    so far the string is:
    GET /index/ HTTP/1.1
    Host: http://xx.xx.xx.xx

    An easy option would be to try http://userassword@server syntax for the URL.
    Else I posted a Twitter fetcher once (won't work anymore since Twitter moved to Oauth authentication) at LAVA. Based on code from @cloew.
    The code is part of this LLB.

  • Syntax for invoking servlet from form in a servlet context

              Hi all,

              some JSPs into a directory C under B. Within a jsp called c.jsp in C, a servlet
              is called in a form. What syntax should I use to call the servlet properly. For
              the given web application A, the url syntax for it is http://server/A/C/c.jsp.
              I used 'action=servlet', 'action=/servlet', but failed. For 'action=servlet',

    What is the servlet-mapping in the web.xml file? If this is your servlet mapping:
              <servlet>
              <servlet-name>CookieCounter</servlet-name>
              <servlet-class>examples.servlets.CookieCounter</servlet-class>
              </servlet>

              <servlet-name>CookieCounter</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>monster</url-pattern>
              </servlet-mapping>
              Then the appropriate action is action=monster (or possibly action=../monster).

  • Syntax for adding the file type

    Hi,
    I am trying to add the file type source in the SES server. The SES server is running on a remote machine and I try to add the file directory on the local machine as a source. Could someone give me the syntax please. Also is there a link which helps me with the syntaxes for the different sources in SES.
    Thanks

    Is this on Windows? Handling remote file crawls on Windiows can be a bit tricky.
    If so, then:
    1/ You should to use a UNC-style path to the file, eg \\servername\share\folder\. It will automatically get converted to a FILE url. (Or you can directly specify the file URL). You can't use a "drive letter shortcut".
    2/ You need to make sure that the owner of the Oracle database service (normally called "OracleServiceSES") has access to the shared file system. The service is started by the "Local System" user by default, which does NOT have access to remote file systems. See the NTFS crawler section in the admin guide for more info.
    3/ The connection to the share must be automatic (eg via Active Directory) for the user running the Oracle database service. If, when you access a UNC file path on the server it prompts for a username and password, this isn't going to work.
    If you want to directly enter the URL, the syntax is (non-obviously)
    file://localhost///servername/share/folder
    Note "localhost" is not a placeholder. You need to ALWAYS put "localhost" in there, regardless of the server you are accessing. And note that there are three slashes after it.

  • Question on syntax for role portion (LH side) of the credential

    I am concerned about syntax for the role portion (the stuff to the left of the "@" sign). Specifically, what are the illegal characters? Can I use dashes and periods? And I presume I can intermix alpha and numeric characters, and I need to know if that's not the case.
    Thanks,
    Rob

    That's a little complicated ... there are multiple layers to consider.
    Firstly, recall where credentials go ... they go in iTunes U URL (URI) query component. WIthin the query component of any URI, certain characters are reserved. Those characters are:
    From RFC 2396:
    The query component is a string of information to be interpreted by
    the resource.
    query = *uric
    Within a query component, the characters ";", "/", "?", ":", "@",
    "&", "=", "+", ",", and "$" are reserved.
    So you'll want to avoid those characters outright. In addition, there are characters that are not allowed (or have special meanings within) any URI (again I refer you to RFC 2396).
    My suggestion would be to apply the same rules as would apply to a variable within most programming languages ... you're safest if you stick to alphanumerics and the underscore, start with an alphabetic character.
    Recall, too, that while you use roles in whatever way makes most sense for your site, the intention is to use that slot as, well, a "role" ... you should be able to define that simply, in most cases, without the need for special characters. A "role" would be something like "Student" or "Instructor" or "Visitor" or "Guest" or "Actor" or "Producer" or "Editor" or "Dean" or "VideoProductionAssistant" or "Administrator" ... think of a role not so much as who somebody "is" within iTunes U, rather think of it as the place to describe what a person "does" within iTunes U. I suspect ... and I could be wrong ... but I suspect that the reason you're asking about special characters is because you want to create a role-per-user at your site ... and you want to make sure your rules for usernames will map to what's allowed in the role slot.

  • Nano syntax highlighting: catch-all syntax for configuration files

    After years of using nano, I only recently learned that it supports syntax coloring... (Why would they turn that off by default? ) Well, I thought I'll make up for it by making extra good use of it from now on...
    Unfortunately it didn't ship a highlighting syntax for the the kind of files that I use nano the most for: system configuration files.
    So I wrote my own, and after tweaking a bit here and there whenever I encountered a config file for which the highlighting wasn't satisfactory at first, I think the result is now good enough (screenshots below) that it's worth sharing with my fellow Arch users:
    Code & Instructions:
    Here is the syntax definition:
    # config file highlighting
    syntax "conf" "(\.(conf|config|cfg|cnf|rc|lst|list|defs|ini|desktop|mime|types|preset|cache|seat|service|htaccess)$|(^|/)(\w*crontab|mirrorlist|group|hosts|passwd|rpc|netconfig|shadow|fstab|inittab|inputrc|protocols|sudoers)$|conf.d/|.config/)"
    # default text
    color magenta "^.*$"
    # special values
    icolor brightblue "(^|\s|=)(default|true|false|on|off|yes|no)(\s|$)"
    # keys
    icolor cyan "^\s*(set\s+)?[A-Z0-9_\/\.\%\@+-]+\s*([:]|\>)"
    # commands
    color blue "^\s*set\s+\<"
    # punctuation
    color blue "[.]"
    # numbers
    color red "(^|\s|[[/:|<>(){}=,]|\])[-+]?[0-9](\.?[0-9])*%?($|\>)"
    # keys
    icolor cyan "^\s*(\$if )?([A-Z0-9_\/\.\%\@+-]|\s)+="
    # punctuation
    color blue "/"
    color brightwhite "(\]|[()<>[{},;:=])"
    color brightwhite "(^|\[|\{|\:)\s*-(\s|$)"
    # section headings
    icolor brightyellow "^\s*(\[([A-Z0-9_\.-]|\s)+\])+\s*$"
    color brightcyan "^\s*((Sub)?Section\s*(=|\>)|End(Sub)?Section\s*$)"
    color brightcyan "^\s*\$(end)?if(\s|$)"
    # URLs
    icolor green "\b(([A-Z]+://|www[.])[A-Z0-9/:#?&$=_\.\-]+)(\b|$| )"
    # XML-like tags
    icolor brightcyan "</?\w+((\s*\w+\s*=)?\s*("[^"]*"|'[^']*'|!?[A-Z0-9_:/]))*(\s*/)?>"
    # strings
    color yellow "\"(\\.|[^"])*\"" "'(\\.|[^'])*'"
    # comments
    color white "#.*$"
    color blue "^\s*##.*$"
    color white "^;.*$"
    color white start="<!--" end="-->"
    To install, save the above above code snippet as a file called conf.nanorc in the folder /usr/share/nano/ (or /usr/local/share/nano/ or similar if you feel strongly about the /usr <--> /usr/local separation), and then add the following to the end of the file /etc/nanorc:
    ## Configuration files (catch-all syntax)
    include "/usr/share/nano/conf.nanorc"
    Hints:
    The colors I chose look good (imo) with the terminal background and color settings that I use, but might not look good, or even readable, with yours, so simply change the color names in the code snippet to whatever you prefer - valid color names are:
    If you use a console with white background, you'll have to change at least the white color I chose for comments and punctuation.
    The first code line in the snippet includes a regular expression that defines for which file names this syntax highlighting should be used. Whenever you encounter a config file that is not matched by this, but you would still like to open it with syntax highlighting, you can manually select this syntax with nano's -Y switch, like so:
    nano -Y conf myConfigFile
    Technical Note:
    It's implemented as a single catch-all syntax, since nano chooses which syntax to apply based on the filename, and in the case of config files usually not much can be learned about the content format from the file name extension (.conf can by anything from flat key/value tuples to XML, .ini can be the official INI format or something else, etc...).
    This means that some compromises have been made, so with this highlighting syntax probably no config file looks 100% as good as a highlighting syntax that would be specifically optimized for one kind of config format, but all in all the vast majority of config files should look pretty good.
    Screenshots:
    /etc/rc.conf,  /etc/hosts:
    /etc/pacman.conf,  /etc/group:
    xorg.conf,  some .desktop file:
    httpd.conf (Apache config),  php.ini:
    More screenshots:

    You mean GNU makefiles?
    I'm afraid they might be out of scope for this generic config-file syntax.
    Logically they're not system config files, and technically they're a pretty specialized and complex format (different "types" of rules, rules spanning multiple lines, rules containing arbitrary Bash code, etc.).
    This is how an .mk file currently looks with this highlighting syntax:
    $ nano -Y conf /usr/lib/httpd/build/rules.mk
    And apart from highlighting variables of the form $$abc or $(abc), I'm not sure how much can be improved here without breaking the highlighting for more conventional config files.
    It would probably be better to create a specialized highlighting syntax just for .mk files.
    EDIT: I sat down and did just that, here's the result: nano syntax highlighting: GNU makefiles, and here is how the above makefile snipped looks with it:

  • How to remove bullets and spacing for url links in the Related Links iview?

    I tried to look for a property that I can edit the look-n-feel of the url links in the Related Link iView using "Theme Editor".
    All I need is to remove the bullets and increase some vertical spacing between the links.
    Currently, it looks like this:
    URL iView A
    URL Iview B
    I go through the whole section of Related Links properties, none of them seems to do what I want.
    Here are the list of properties in Related Link section (of Navigation Panel):
    Link Color
    Text Decoration of Link
    Hover Color
    Text Decoration of Hovered Link
    Initially, I thought "Text Decoration of Link" should be the right property I should look at. But there are a drop-down with 5 options: None, Underline, Blinking, Overline and Line-Through, which really can't achieve what I want.
    Thanks for advice.

    Hi, Kai.
    I checked the Related iView properties (URL Template), I don't see what layoutset it is really using. I am not sure, is that a layout set apply to the Related Link Iview?
    For the regular KM iView, I will see what Layout Set I want to apply, then I can go and change the properties (of layout coontroller, collection renderer & resource renderer)you mentioned. But for this Related Link iView, I really don't know. I guess it may be in the code itself.
    If there is a layout set for Related Link iView (or the place to apply layout set to it), can you point to me which one is that? (I did a search through the layout set names, I only find the AppQuicklinkExplorer (I used this for Dynamic Nav. Link iView before), if I can aply this layout set to Related Link iView, my problem will be solved.)
    Thanks for help.

  • Syntax for using a variable in an equation.

    Hi all,
    Simple question here.  What is tha appropriate syntax for using a variable in a calculation equation.  Specifically, I am taking an established curve fitting equation from my channels and trying to calculate it over a lineargenerated data set to extend the curve  beyond the original data sample.  Here is the small portion of script I have that will not work.  Thanks for any help.
    dim a,b,c
    a = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(5).Channels("air consumption formula").Properties("ResultApprAnsatzCoef1").Value
    b = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(5).Channels("air consumption formula").Properties("ResultApprAnsatzCoef2").Value
    c = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(5).Channels("air consumption formula").Properties("ResultApprAnsatzCoef3").Value
    Call Calculate("Ch(""[5]/Air Consumption LG"")= ""a"" + Ch(""[5]/LinearGenerated"")*""b""+""c""*ch(""[5]/LinearGenerated"")^2")

    Hi Gloorious,
    I am using diadem script.  In my example above, for the equation, if I substitue a,b,and c with numerical values, the script runs just fine and the formula executes as desired.  Is there a way to place the variables there instead as I have tried to do (I was hoping it was just a syntax issue) or do I have to approach it a completely different way?
    This script will execute just fine:
    Call Calculate("Ch(""[5]/Air Consumption LG"")= 4 + Ch(""[5]/LinearGenerated"")*5+6*ch(""[5]/LinearGenerated"")^2")
    but this will not:
    dim a,b,c
    a = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(5).Channels("air consumption formula").Properties("ResultApprAnsatzCoef1").Value
    b = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(5).Channels("air consumption formula").Properties("ResultApprAnsatzCoef2").Value
    c = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(5).Channels("air consumption formula").Properties("ResultApprAnsatzCoef3").Value
    Call Calculate("Ch(""[5]/Air Consumption LG"")= ""a"" + Ch(""[5]/LinearGenerated"")*""b""+""c""*ch(""[5]/LinearGenerated"")^2")

    Thanks

    Hi
    definitely
    syntax:- EVAULATE('your db function(%1,%2)', parameter list)
    here %1 and %2 are the no.of parameters (columns or may constant values) to be passed for the db-function
    if you have 3 parameters then you need to use %3 also.. means the columns to be passed.
    following exapmples are for ORACLE db,
    ex1: EVALUATE('upper(%1)', 'kishore kumar') gives the result as -> KISHORE KUMAR
    ex2: EVALUATE('upper(%1)', 'Markets.Region') here Markets.Region is column.
    you also can call the user-defined functions through evaulate
    EVALUATE('functioname(%1,%2), column1, column2)
    the above function has 2 parameters to be inputted
