System 9 Planning Architecture Documentation

Hi <BR><BR>Is System 9 Planning equivalent to Planning Version 4?<BR>Can somebody forward a copy of System 9 Planning Architecture over?<BR><BR>Thanks

Good Day,We just finished off implementing System 9 Planning/Essbase 9.2 version. We have Oracle on AIX for Data Repository and Essbase on AIX for Analytics (New name for Essbase). We use Windows Server 2003 SP1 and run IBM WebSphere. 9.2 does have Shared Services, which manages all the security access that you need for Plannning/Essbase. Also there is new AAS (Analytics Admin Services) console, with which you can connect and check your Essbase applications.Good good so far.ThanksAzmat Bhatti

  • Version 999 Project System Plan Data Issue

I am using transaction CJ9B to copy the Project System related plan data i.e. plan data at the WBS element level from Version 10F, period 1 to 12  in year 2010 to version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010. The transaction CJ9B runs successfully in the update mode. But when report CJI4 is executed for version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010 then we do not find plan data in sync with version 10F.
I analysed this issue, had a meeting with end user and blanked out target version 999 using source version 9ZR for the year 2010. Then I again copied version 999 from version 10F. Still plan data in version 999 do not exist as they are in version 10F. I have checked the version 999 master data in transaction OKEV. Integrated Planning for SPL, COPA, cost center accounting and business process is active. COPY Allowed is also enabled. Version 999 is unlocked as well.
Hence I am not sure why the copy functionality is not working fine for version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010.
Can you please take a look and revert with your opinion so that this issue can be fixed ?
    Thanks,
    Umesh

    Hi,
If you want to copy all the plan date from 10F to 999, then in Txn CJ9B
select the indicator reset and overwrite in target version and execute in test mode.

  • 3D Axis System Plane Background Colour

Having created a 3D axis system in DIAdem 9.1, I then tried to colour the three planes. However, the colour sits on top of everything, hiding the data below! I've tried 'moving' it backwards but without success; is there a fix for this?
    Thanks,
    Si.

    Hi Walter,
Thanks for your response. I too wondered if this was the case so immediately set about downloading the relevant files. I have now installed them and find that it doesn't make any difference (since I can only have three attachments I won't post a copy of the graph as the only thing that has changed is the version number).
However, I have discovered that I can influence the problem but not in a way that allows me to have the graph I wanted. You may have noticed that I have a 3D line in the plot as well as the surface and this is playing a role in the problem. For example, if I swap the order of the curve definitions so that the line is first and the surface second then I get the graph in attachment 3D Graph3. This is an improvement but despite the hidden line calculation box being ticked for the surface, it doesn't work, hence I can see the gridlines and other data. After this I found that if I deleted the 3D line then things improved further. The surface appeared to be dominant but still let some panel colour show through. This is in the attachment 3D Graph4. If then converted the surface to a global palette colour rather a single colour then I almost get something that will do. I can also add the 3D line back in. This is 3D Graph5. However, I would like to see the line "on top" of the surface in terms of the layers to the plot. Bizarrely this happens when the curve is BELOW the surface in the curve definition list but this action also causes the panel colour to come to the foreground too.
Ultimately what I would like is a 3D plot with coloured panels, a surface "on top" of the panels, and then a 3D curve "on top" of the surface. Looks like I need to keep trying!
    Regards,
    Si.

  • Multiple Apple TV System Planning

I am donating apple tv's to the Maine Children's Cancer Program to put in the kids treatment rooms. There will be 5 160GB apple TVs connecting to a mac mini with a 1TB WD hard drive. All of this connecting over a wireless network using an airport extreme.
-Does any one have any tips to optimize the setup?
-Can I sort Movies by type or Ratings?
-If I use the streaming functionality, any tips on keeping the apple tvs from losing connection with the library they are connected to?
It is very important that this system work well and not be a maintenance nightmare. It needs to just work. All suggestions appreciated.

    Sir/Madam
That's a wonderful gesture for a good cause, and I hate to add a negative comment, but have you considered what content you'd be looking to stream or sync here?
Any streamed content would in theory need to be legally purchased iTunes store material or homegrown/other non-copyrighted content. Even then does the iTunes licensing allow for streaming in say a hospital, prison, other institution? - like commercial DVDs I suspect not.
Even if streaming iTunes material here would be ok, streaming ripped music and certainly DVDs could put the recipients in a tricky position in terms of the legality of such activity.
Sorry to pose the questions, but would hate for your kind philanthropic gesture to be declined due to legal technicalities that you had not forseen.
Perhaps (I hope) this is not an issue at all, and you have already considered such things or there are local solutions in place for this sort of thing.
    Again sorry for negative comments.
Hope it all works out for the best.

Only the uBR10k CMTS platform supports the SIP and SPA modules.
The SIP needs to be installed in Slots 1, 2, 3, or 4 of the Cisco uBR10k router (referred to as WAN slots).
The SPA's would then be installed into the SIP.
    The various SPA's available are:
Cisco Wideband SPA - For Wideband / M-CMTS solutions.
1-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet Shared Port Adapter - For network connectivity
5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Shared Port Adapter - For network connectivity
Here is an excerpt from the Cisco uBR10012 Universal Broadband Router SIP and SPA Software Configuration Guide:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/shared_port_adapters/configuration/ubr10012/12.3_23_bc/sipsp_d3.html
    SPA Interface Processors (SIP)
A SIP is a carrier card that inserts into a router slot like a line card. It provides no network connectivity on its own.
A SIP contains one or more bays (subslots), which are used to house one or more SPAs. The SPA provides interface ports for network connectivity.
During normal operation the SIP should reside in the router fully populated either with functional SPAs in all bays, or with a blank filler plate (SPA-BLANK=) inserted in all empty bays.
SIPs support online insertion and removal (OIR) with SPAs inserted in their bays. SPAs also support OIR and can be inserted or removed independently from the SIP.
    Shared Port Adapters (SPA)
A SPA is a modular type of port adapter that inserts into a bay of a compatible SIP carrier card to provide network connectivity and increased interface port density. A SIP can hold one or more SPAs, depending on the SIP type.
SPAs are available in various types. The Cisco Wideband SPA is a single-wide, half-height SPA. Figure 2-1 shows how bays are numbered on the Cisco Wideband SIP.

  • Add consumer group to System Plan

I am trying to write a SQL statement that will do the following:
    2. Add the APPUSER consumer group to the SYSTEM_PLAN resource plan. Change the level 3 CPU resource allocation percentages: 60% for the APPUSER consumer group and 40% for the LOW_GROUP consumer group.
    SQL>BEGIN
    DBMS_RESOURCE_MANAGER.CREATE_SYSTEM_PLAN (SYSTEM_PLAN => ‘system_plan’,
    CONSUMER_GROUP1 => ‘APPUSER’, GROUP1_CPU3 => 60,
    CONSUMER_GROUP2 => ‘LOW_GROUP’, GROUP2_CPU3 => 40);
    END;

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
    I appreciate the help.

Yes, you are correct. I misunderstood what I was reading. I thought in the example they were naming the plan. I will revise and see what happen.
    SQL>BEGIN

  • RDS 2012 Architecture Documentation

I am looking for some guidance or documentation about designing a RDS 2012 environment both session hosted and virtual desktops.
Some actual questions I have around RDS 2012 are:
    - Can RD Connection brokers shared over more than 1 datacenter with one collection of Session hosts? What connection is required between the datacenters?
    - Can RD Gateway shared over more than 1 datacenter with one of more collections? What connection is required between the datacenters?
    - Can we have 1 RD Gateway for more than 1 RDS Session host deployment in te same domain (not collections but complete seperated RDS environments)
    - Can we have 1 RD Web Access for more than 1 RDS Session host deployment in the same domain (not collections but complete seperated RDS environments)
The only documentation I have found is the IPD of RDS 2008 R2, however there are a lot of changes in RDS 2012. Technet also doesn't have the RDS 2012 documentation online.
    Thnx,

  • Did we implement SOA architecture

    Hi ,
I am new to SOA and just wanted to know, whether we are on right tract to implement SOA architecture in our peoject or not.
We have a landscape of five system .
    CRM 5.0
    ECC 6.0
    XI
    BI
    EP 7
Now we are in a process to implement all the main processes in the system as a webservice.
Just for an example , we have created a FM which would create a BP in CRM system, similarly we have created FM's for creating SERVICE ORDER in CRM system, PLAN and CAMPAIGN creatinn in CRM system.Like this we have lots of other small and big processes.
Similarly we are trying to imlement all processes in ECC side as webservice.
So my question is , once we have created webservice for all processes does it mean we have implemented SOA in our project?
    Regards
    PG

    Hi,
Although you are already working on defining your own services, I'd strongly suggest taking a look at the ES Workplace for enterprise services already provided by SAP. As an example, the enterprise services for CRM contain predefined services for Business Partner Data Management and Campaign Management.
The benefit of re-using these services is that these have been defined using a formal methodology, and in consultation with customers and partners. So you'll get industry best practice business services which you can customize if you want. SAP has an ecosystem around Enterprise Services Definition which any customer or partner can join. This way, they have a say on what SAP rolls out to customers.
For an SOA Roadmap, I'd suggest taking a look at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/soa-methodology. This will help you in step-by-step progress towards SOA. Not all steps might be relevant so you can be choose whichever you consider appropriate. But it is good to have an end-to-end view.
There are a lot of documents on SDN related to SOA Reference Architecture which SAP proposes. Please take some time out to look at it. /people/kareemullahshah.quadri/blog/2007/02/19/sap-architecture-150enterprise-soa-basics is also a good weblog on SOA and what SAP offers. /people/kareemullahshah.quadri/blog/2007/02/19/sap-architecture-150enterprise-soa-basics is good one for build vs. buy SOA.
If you are a SAP shop, then it might be best to use SAP's SOA Reference Architecture as a guideline. If you have a mixed IT portfolio, please do review what other vendors like IBM, Oracle/BEA, etc suggest in terms of SOA reference architectures.
An ESR will act as the central repository for your services and a must have for SOA implementations. You will find that in all SOA reference architectures. This helps you down the road when the number of enterprise services increases. Governance is a nightmare in SOA and ESR will help you in that. SOA Reference Architectures from SAP and other vendors contain necessary components you should have for an SOA landscape.
Hope it helps. Feel free to post any questions that come to your mind.
    Regards,
    Shehryar

  • ABAP Documentation Generation, Javadoc-like

    Hello everyone,
I've got one topic to discuss that I do not find very much information about on SCN. It's about documentation. and I don't mean SAP documentation like help.sap.com, but the documentation about the software we (=developers) are producing by writing ABAP-code. That thing that we tend to neglect.
So is there any tool that is similar to [Javadoc|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javadoc], something like a ABAP Documentation Generator? A tool that generates a code-based documentation out of the source-code comments? As far as I know, there is no such functionality in the ABAP workbench. The only community project I found was ABAP Docs, but that seems to be inactive and is not even accessibly online.
How do you document your software? Do you use external tools, anything that is integrated into the SAP system? Or is it a completely segregated solution like we use in my company (Word)? What strategies do you use to create Architecture Documentation, Technical Documentation and End User Documentation?
It seems to me that there are lots of software solutions that can create modern documentation including different formats, layout templates, guidelines etc. But I haven't found anything related to ABAP development. Maybe the best example is Wikipedias [Comparison of documentation generators|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_documentation_generators]. Just search for ABAP.
I am looking forward to read about your experiences in documenting ABAP software!

Surprisingly (more or less) the list has no entry for a tool that supports ABAP, that was my point.
In the [Language support|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_documentation_generators#Language_support] table there is an Any With Comments column. Looking at the examples for [Natural Docs|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_Docs] and [ROBODoc|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROBODoc], they might work for ABAP too. YMMV
    Hope this helps,
    Rossen
