Hi Amareswar,
In your case, request your bank to provide cheque number with leading zeros in electronic bank statement as the leading zeros in the assignment field is SAP system behaviour.
Alternatively, use 'Define Search String for Electronic Bank Statement' (refer http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/6d/0cdf4b142e11d3963800a0c9426c73/frameset.htm for details) in the IMG, customize it to search for the cheque number provided in the note to payee field > then append leading zeros.
The first method is the solution we are using and it is the most cost effective.

SRM 7.0 -Adding Custom fields in Contract Item screen at particular positn

Hi,
We have a requirement to add new custom fields in the Contract Item screen at required position, in Left and right side container.
We have tried the following methods but have not been able to achieve the same. Kindly help!
1) Added new field in Context through enhancemnt in the Details screen View of Contract , Binded the field to the field in structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_CTR and add the field to teh Layout - Using this method, The field is not saved to the table.
2) Added the field to meta data table /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IC - This is positionng the field on teh right container at the bottom. We want to position it on left side.
Kindly help to understand where we are going wrong.

Hi Prasuna,
Sorry ..You are right..I was looking at some other WDC related to contract data..It you map the CUFs to /SAPSRM/S_CLL_CTR_ITEM which has the include structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_CTR then it should work fine.
If you do this, are you able to view the new fields on the screen?
you mentioned that you are not able to save the data to the table.
Include your fields in INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF as well because if you add CUF to any of those doc types, you also have to add those CUF to the global structure for CUF documents.
Also Check if you fields are there in structures BBPS_CTR_CUF_ITEM,BBPS_CTR_UI_ITEM and BBPS_CTR_ITEM.
Check whether you have implemented the BADI's like BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI ,BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI and BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI . check out the structures (whether they having the CUFS) used in those if you have implemented any of them .

RFC system error: Screen output without connection to user

After running transaction SMWP, we nagivate to the "Parameters for object load management" node using the following path:
Runtime Information -> Adapter Status Information -> Parameters in R/3 Backend(s) -> ECC -> Parameters for object load management
Under the node Parameters for object load management, when we double click any of the entries we receive the following error message in the form of a pop-up: RFC system error: Screen output without connection to user.
Has anyone encountered the aforementioned error?

while creating the syncbo you have to give the RFC destination for corresponding Bapi wrappers
so plz check that.
and can you please explain the exact error in detail and add the trace..

Addition of new tabs under contract item screen in SRM 7.0

Hello Experts,
My requirement is to add the three new tabs with custom fields under the contract item screen.
I thin i have to user web-dynpro ABAP for this requirement since it is SRM 7.0. Once i developm the web dynpro applications separately for each tab, how do i integrate those web dynpro with the contract item dynpro and how to populate the values for the new fields added in the tabs. if i want to fetch the data from the custom tables into the tabs, i need to create a new web dynpro where i will write the logic to fetch the values, but to fetch the values i should first get the input data from the contract scrren which is a standard application. In the new tabs, i need to display and edit values for demands ( purchase requisitions ) for that contract line items, so i sould get the material number, year of demand, purchasing organisation etc from the contract screen. So it means i have to enahnce the main screen for contract item.
Please advise how to achieve this.
I have seen the details for adding a new fields to the the contract item scrren and some oss notes , but here i need to add the new tabs and custom fields into that and i need to integrate these data with the contract line item.

In any Display line item screen (Customer, GL or Vendor), I am not
able to see the field called "User ID" or "Entered By". How can i see
the above line item screens with the field "User ID, Entered by" field.

Hi,
For GL line item display, Customer line item display and Vendor line item display you can use transactions codes FBL3N, FBL5N and FBL1N respectively. After the report is executed, you can click on layout icon and add the required fields.
User name is there in the layout and you can add it in your layout and save it.

There are some fields that can be made mandatory using Field Selection for Notification & Order.
Some fields should be made mandatory using development (User Exit IPRM0004)

How to make an EditText with CFL act like a system "Item Description" ?

Hello,
I have added an EditText with a CFL linked to "lf_items".
I want the EditText to act like a system "Item Description" EditText, so that when
the user enters a value and presses on CTRL+TAB in it, a CFL event will not be triggered and the focus will simply be transfered to the next item.
Does anybody know how to do that ?

In sap's marketing document one can enter a free description to
the "Item Description" column by using CTRL + TAB .
I needed to build a similar solution.
The answer I found was to:
Track a CTRL+ TAB press,
Read the value the user entered from the EditText.Value
Totally stop the CFL event
Do oMatrix.FlushToDataSource()
Write the value to the DBDataSource of the user table
Do oMatrix.LoadFromDataSource()
Allow the CFL event to run as usual.

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
a. Boot into the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
Step 2
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
If you've booted from an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Step 3
Boot in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is damaged and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to step 5.
If you can boot and log in now, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
Step 4
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
Step 5
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
Step 6
Reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
Step 7
Repeat step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a backup.
Step 8
A dead logic-board battery in a Mac Pro can cause a gray screen at boot. Typically the boot failure will be preceded by loss of the startup disk and system clock settings. See the user manual for replacement instructions.
Step 9
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.

Restricting the systems items on the 'find system items' window

I am trying to do some customizatiosn on form POXPOEPO. block PO_LINES and item_name is po_lines.item_number which is beside field 'Type' (line_type). when the three dots are pressed then a window appears to input 'enter reduction criteria for long list' when the percentage is pressed 'System Items' find window appears listing all the items defined. what i want this window to display only those items for which item_type = 'Consums' on MTL_system_items and 'user item type' on 'master item' definition window tab 'main'.
What is the way to achieve this.

Cannot enter accounting information in system options screen

I am trying to make a new organization in an multi-org env.
While doing the setup I am not able to enter accounting information/ Tax Information etc. using system options screen using receivables manager responsibility.The path for the screen is
Receivables manager>setup>system>system option.

Create a new responsibility. Assign Set of Books, New Org to this responsibility. Assign this responsibility to your user id. You this responsibility to setup your AR.

I have seen a lot of cases like your issue, and it's easy to solve.
First, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and repair permissions. Sometimes, a permission can be damaged and it makes that an application doesn't work properly.
If that doesn't work, open Finder, select Go menu > Go to Folder, type ~/Library/Prefereces, delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" and "com.apple.systempreferences.plist" and restart

Selected file system item could not be found

I have an issue with a volume that seems unrelated to the other post to which I replied here. This particular volume is an extra slice/partition on the primary software RAID drive (simply made up of two internal drives).
When I select the Volume from the Volumes tab/list in Server Admin I receive an exclamation mark at the bottom with the error: "The Selected file system item could not be found"
Each time that I try to press the Share button and actually set the properties for it and Save and then refresh the shares, that volume is never shared. Seems like an odd issue as there do not appear to be any problems with the volume otherwise.

I am getting the same error message, but only on my Xserve RAID volume. I'm able to adjust permissions on anything else. I currently do not have the option of reformatting the RAID volume right now.
What my initial assumption is that this RAID used some complicated permissions and was connected to a OS X 10.4 Server. I did not do an upgrade to the server but a full format and reinstall of OS X 10.5 Server. My workaround to date has been to change he permissions in the Finder but that's a real pain.
I've tried renaming the volume and a few other tricks.
I'm not sure what to do next to get the OS X 10.5 Server Admin to work with the permissions on my RAID.
