TAB between columns

how can i "select a tab" in a select statement
select colA || TAB || COLB from TableA

You are right, but you will not get required results if you dont have column alias.
Try this:
select 'a' || chr(9) || 'b' from dual
If you have alias if works perfectly fine
select 'a' || chr(9) || 'b' "columna tab column b" from dual

I think the simpler example would be just:
select a || chr(9) || b  a_tab_b
from t;
