Table for Variants

Hi,
In our project, SAP User ids are being revamped and the user ids after the revamp will have a different nomenclature.
Say for eg, today a user id is TKUABC, after the revamp it will be something else. Because of this there is an impact on batch jobs, reports, etc, where the user ids are hard coded in reports or variants. For eg we have reports with variants which give all sales orders created by certain user ids. For these reports we have the user ids maintained in the variant. Such jobs and reports will get impacted  if the user ids follow a new nomenclature and the variants in these programs will not fetch the correct data.
My question is, is there any way (a table or view or a FM) to see all the variants in the system with the values in those variants and where they are used, so that we know that these variants will have to be modified.
Thanks in advance.
Mick

Mick,
You may need to some small utility for doing this.
I find simple coding for mass change of variants

  • Re: Variant tables usuage for variant configuration.

    Dear All.
I have variant configuration and I need variant tables for the dependencies. Can any body guide me how to use the variant tables.

    Hi.
I have used them mostly as a repository of technical data unknown to sales department (guys who create and configure sales order).
In a Packaging Industry they used variants for folding cartons and all technical data was maintained by a Techical Area in variant tables. Data was retrieved from configuration using procedures.
Variant table data is maintained in transaction CU60. This is not a very friendly interface and can't deal with multi-user updation. This is why one year after go-live this company started to use a Z-tables and LINKED them to variant tables (CU62). Using this  you can work with same procedures but with much more easier data maintenance. I recommend to take this in account.
    regards, SL

  • Tables, function modules for variant config data

    Hi all,
I need to extract characteristics and values for variant material from sales order and production orders. Could you please tell me the relevant tables and function modules?
    Regards,
    Sachin M

    Hi
    Try the following;
Function module to find values of characteristics - CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS .
Table # AUSP also holds values of characteristics, you can link to it via table INOB,which should also linked to table KONDH if you are using the same.

  • How to create a table with varied number of columns?

I am trying to create a balance table. The colunms should include years between the start year and end year the user will input at run time. The rows will be the customers with outstanding balance in those years.
If the user input years 2000 and 2002, the table should have columns 2000, 2001, 2002. But if the user input 2000 and 2001, the table will only have columns 2000 and 2001.
Can I do it? How? Thanka a lot.

Why did you create a new thread for this?
How to create a table with varied number of columns?

  • BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 is not carrying out pricing for variant config materials

    Hi Guys
I need to create a BAPI to create sales orders coming in through a web service from an external system, for normal materials all works well, but for variant config materials the pricing is not happening, like the way it does when I manually create an order, I don't want to manually pass the pricing condition in BAPICOND as I want the BAPI to dynamically determine the conditions from the access sequence.
While debugging VA01 I found that the control goes to the 'PRICING' function module twice, ones for the main material , and next for all its config materials, the second time it calls the 'PRICING' fm with pricing type 'O'. Here it selects the price for all the variant materials and loads into an internal table vkomv and displays in VA01 the variant materials that we select while creating the order, but in the case of the BAPI call, the control is going only to the 'PRICING' fm call for the header.
I have passed 'V'  in the application parameter and the variant material in the varcond parameter of the BAPICOND structure.
Any idea what I might be missing ??
    Thanks

  • Table with varying number of columns

    Hello experts,
    my issue:
I need to print a table with varying number of columns. Depending on if all cells of a certain column are initial the
whole column should disappear. Hiding is not enough.
If this columns is in the middle of the table the following columns should move left to fill the gap.
my approach: (maybe there is an easier one)
There are 4 different possible situations. My approach was to create 4 different tables with different amount of
columns. In the interface I fill the table that is really needed from the source table data and fill a flag that characteristics
    the situation, possible values (1,2,3,4).
In the form I'd like to print the appropriate table depending on the situations.
    my problem:
How to place all 4 possible tables lying upon each other in the form and print only the needed one depending on the flag value?
    my question:
Is my approach ok? Or is there an easier one?
If it is ok. How can I solve the problem regarding printing the right table.
    Thanks in advance!
    Heinz

    Hi Heinz,
You can handle it with FormCalc Script at initialization.
Suppose you have a table with name TABLE having a header HEADER and data row DATA:
    TABLE-->HEADER(Cell1...Cell2...Cell3...Cell4)
              --->DATA(Cell1...Cell2...Cell3...Cell4)
Suppose you want to hide Cell3 for null values, then write below code at initialization of DATA:
    if(DATA[*].Cell3.rawValue eq null)
    then
    DATA[*].Cell3.presence = "hidden"
    HEADER.Cell3.presence = "hidden"
    else
    DATA[*].Cell3.presence = "visible"
    HEADER.Cell3.presence = "visible"
    endif
    Hope it would help.

  • Tables for variance calclation

    Hi Experts,
My Client has a different requirement for variance calculation.
Client want the Production order variance to be calculated based on their budgeted cost and not with reference to Target cost which is again based on Standard cost. Client requires to valuate the cost of Fert and Halb items based on their budgeted cost for the variance calculation ONLY.They want a seperate report for Management information and mainly concerned with Material related variance.
Now to start with, I entered prices of Raw material (as said to be the budgeted price)  in planned price 1 in Costing Tab 2 of material master for all items defined in BOM. Made a seperate Costing variant and valuation variant to consider the Planned price 1 for valuation.
With CK40N, calculated the cost of Fert and HALB items in Planned price1. Now I want to use this new cost i.e. Planned price 1 to calculate Target cost in production order calculation of  variances i.e. price, Quantity, Mix,Usage etc.
    My queries are as follows...
    1) Am I moving in a right direction and whether the approach is correct? If No, then request you to guide me any other method to calculate the cost as per client's requirement.
    2) If the answer to obove is yes, then requesting you to guide what should be the next step?
    3) I want to know the table names where the values of this new cost is stored so that  I can capture the values as per cost component structure and can be used for variance calculation. I have already checked the Tables KEEO and KEPH but the figures are not matching.
    4) Also let me know the Table names for actual cost of production order.
    Regards,
    makrand

    HI,
Ur Approch is correct and The tables KEKO and KEPH are absolutely correct. It must match.
AUFM is the table for fetching the values of production order.
once these things are ready, you can get the abaper to write the report to find the variance between KEKO and AUFM
    Hope my answer helps!~

  • Steps for Variant Configuration

    Hi Gurus,
Can any body tell me step by step procedure for variant configuration.
    My e-mail id. <REMOVED>
    Regds.......
    Sumit

    Hi Sumit,
Variant configuration is for manufacturing complex products. The manufacturer always has to offer new variants of its products. Often, new variants are created by modifying existing product designs as you process the order. The important thing is to react quickly to customers' requirements.
The customer determines the features of the product. A customer buying a car, for example, can choose the features of the car and combine these features as required.
The product configurator improves information exchange between sales, engineering, and production. Variant configuration helps the customer or salesperson to put together specifications for the product and ensure that the product can be produced from these specifications. It also ensures that production costs do not overstep the mark.
    Procedure -
Create a Material - KMAT type with Item category (002)
Create Characteristics in CT04 - Zbike, where in values mention the Color of the bile like Red, Blue etc
Create another characteristics in CT04 - ZPrice, where directly go the additional data tab and maintain the table SDCOM and field VKOND (ABAP Dictionary it will ask for)
Assign these two characteristics to a Class in CL01 - ZBikeclass (Type 300) in characteristics tab page.
Then go to CU41 Configuration profile select the material and enter the description click on the class assignment i.e. assign Zbikclass.
Now go back to CT04 - enter Zbike -go to values- select Red- go to extras - Other Dependencies - Select Procedure enter in front 10 write - $self.ZPrice='Red' and save
Now go back go to extras - Other Dependencies - assignments and assign relationship ( by default it will come just save)
Now select Blue- go to extras - Other Dependencies - Editor - Select Procedure enter in front of 10 write - $self.ZPrice='Blue' and save
Now go back go to extras - Other Dependencies - assignments and assign relationship ( by default it will come just save)
Now go to VK11 - Enter VA00 (Condition) (For Std RVA001 Pricing Procedure) - enter variant Red and Blue give the rates accordingly and create the sales order.
Variant configuration is for manufacturing complex products. The manufacturer is
always having to offer new variants of its products. Often, new variants are created
by modifying existing product designs as you process the order. The important thing
is to react quickly to customers' requirements.
The customer determines the features of the product. A customer buying a car, for
example, can choose the features of the car and combine these features as required.
The product configurator improves information exchange between sales, engineering,
and production. Variant configuration helps the customer or salesperson to put
together specifications for the product and ensure that the product can be produced
from these specifications. It also ensures that production costs do not overstep the
    mark.
    Integration
Variant configuration is integrated in the following applications:
    a.. CA Classification
    b.. LO Material Master
    c.. PP Bill of Material
    d.. PP Routings
    e.. PP-PI Master Recipes
    f.. SD Sales
    g.. SD Conditions
    h.. MM Purchasing
    i.. CO Costing
j.. PP Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    k.. PP Production Orders
You can configure the following objects:
    a.. Materials
b.. Standard networks in the Project System.
c.. PM General maintenance task lists
    d.. Model service specifications
    Features
You do not need to create a separate material for each variant of a product in your
company. You can use one configurable material to cover all variants. You create a
super BOM and a super routing for this material, containing all the components and
operations for producing all variants of the product.
To define the features of a configurable material, you use characteristics. To
enable you to use characteristics to configure a material, you assign the material
to a class of class type 300. Possible characteristics of a car, for example, are
model, country, color, and engine. The customer can choose from among different
    options for each characteristic (values).
The only limitations are combinations of features that are not possible for either
technical or marketing reasons. You cannot combine all types of car engine with all
types of transmission, for example, or certain types of upholstery are only
available for more expensive models. In Variant Configuration, you use dependencies
to control this. This prevents combinations of options that are not allowed.
Dependencies also select exactly the right BOM components and operations to produce
    a variant.
Each configurable object must have a configuration profile. The configuration
profile for a material controls the configuration process in the sales order.
You can make the price of a variant dependent on the characteristic values assigned
(Pricing). You can use variant conditions to define surcharges and discounts for a
    variant.
For variants that are required frequently, you can create material variants, which
can be produced without a sales order and kept in stock. When you receive a sales
order, you can check whether the variant required is in stock, so that you can
    deliver immediately.

    Hi,
one of the sales document currencies is not maintained properly in the system and therefore its failing.
you need to correct those documents before filling the set up tables.
Either you can chose the option fault document toleration limit to 1000...so that 1000 records wrong records can be tolerated or you have to crrect it first before filling up the set up tables.
This will generally happen in test systems.... but very rare in production...so try to maintain currrency again in the system.
generally you will see the sales doc number in the error for which its failing.
May be at the time of filling some óne was working on some sales document and tried it save it.
correct that doc and fill the set up tables again.
    Thanks

  • Help with tables for frustrated newbie

Could someone look at the starters of a site I'm trying to
get up and going? The link is here:
    http://canyoncrestfoundation.org/newhomepage.htm
The site is a table with five rows. I would like to be able
to use the basic design on other pages, and change the fourth row
down on different pages. It's the row with the image of the
teenagers, and it has the text what "if I try to type here...". I'm
using Dreamweaver 8 and if I move click on the draw table button in
Layout mode, and then try to move the cursor over that row, I get a
circle with a line diagonally across the middle. I really wanted to
be able to have varying layouts in that center part. Also, what do
I do to move the top text in that row over-- where it says,
"Partnering with..." Thank you! I'm feeling very frustrated with
    this.
Please be kind and gentle. I'm figuring this out on
my own, and am just a volunteer for the foundation.

Looks exactly like the problem I faced....

Do not 'draw' tables, insert them. copy and paste the
    following into a new
DW window and see how I've put the various elements
    together. Use separate
tables for each of your elements - it should get you on the
    right track:
PS: This may be a good tutorial to have a read through
    before you go any
    further too:
    http://www.dwfaq.com/Tutorials/Tables/flexible_tables.asp
It will show you how to 'nest' tables, so that adjacent
    cells don't 'blow'
    out as you add content....
