Table lock and transaction timout problem

          We encounter 2 problems and aprreciate your suggestion :
          1. if it is container-managed connection, supposed the trans-timeout-seconds is
          set to 10 secs.
          why does the ejb receive time-out exception with message like " timeout
          after 13 secs" rather than after 10 seconds.
          2. if the table accessed in the container-managed transaction is locked , why
          the ejb does not
          receive the timeout exception until the table get unlocked ?

Hi,
I think this is beacouse the LOck used for lockign the DB table is a Exclusive loacked.
If its a custom code try changin the locking mechanism from exclusive to share lock.
This may solve ur problem.
One more method... I think the exceptions from the function module used for locking is not declared in the program
so that its terminating. Call FM properly with all exceptions & handle the Exceptions programatically.
(Meaning U can code to tell some message by checking the SY-SUBRC)

MLHELP_SPRICE_CCS_INIT for the standard CCS.
These programs are provided by the ML Helpdesk tool via note 364368.
Although these reports are used by SAP Support you can execute them in
test mode to verify your CCS data.

Dynamic table with header locked and vertical scrollbar problem.

Hi,
I have created a dynamic table with header locked.The sample code is as below.

The above piece of code serves the purpose.
There is an overflow in both x as well as y directions and scrollbars appear.But the y scrollbar can be seen only when the x-scrollbar is moved to the extreme right.
Does anyone have a solution so that both the scrollbars can be seen as soon as the table loads without the need to move x to the extreme right to see y?

[E17] lock and keyboard layout problems when suspend

Hello,
I just installed E17 on my Dell Vostro laptop. The main problem I have is related to the suspend mode.
In settings > screen > screen lock, I enabled the option "lock on suspend" and the keyboard layout is selected to "be (default, basic)" (I have a belgian keyboard).
When I use the menu system > suspend, the screen is locked. But when I suspend my laptop by closing the lid (I see the power light indicator blinking on the side, so it's suspended) the screen is not locked when I open it.
Also related to the suspend mode. The layout is set to belgian (in the screen config as explained above but also in vconsole.conf and in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-keyboard.conf). When I put the luks decryption key or when E17 starts at boot, I have the right layout. However when I resume the laptop after being suspended, the layout is switched to qwerty (en_us I guess).
Any idea why ?

PS: this problem is maybe more related to E17 than to Archlinux but I haven't found any forum about enlightenment. If you think I have better chances somewhere else, let me know.

I was having problems with E17 after a fresh install (mixer problem, key bindings, etc), and I fixed it by deleting the configuration files at
~/.e
as the wiki says.

Logging Table changes and transactions

I am using oracle 11.2 DB and need to track some changes made to specific tables (need to capture old/new values of columns). I have experimented with creating a MV log on a table which seems to get me most of what I want:
CREATE materialized view log on students WITH SEQUENCE,rowid (id,last_name,first_name,middle_name) INCLUDING NEW VALUES
Since some of the processes update more that 1 table at a time before doing a commit, I need to be able to capture that these 3 table updates are all part of the same transaction (commit) . Is there any way of doing that?
ie.
update table 1 set x = '1';
update table 2 set y = '2';
update table 3 set z = '3';
commit;

Table layout and image display problems

Im having a few problems at the moment, designing a layout
using tables. I need to have 3 seperate tables, 1 for the left
side, 1 for middle and 1 for the right. However I can only get the
left and middle table on the same row, after that the right table
jumps down to the next row.
My second problem is with some images displaying in the
preview. 3 images wont display, they are the same extension (.jpg),
in the same folder as the rest but unlike the others wont display.
I can swap them out for other images which display fine so I cant
understand why they arent showing.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Use a three column, 1 row table, and put one of your tables
into each of the
three cells.

Table MBEW and Transaction MC.9

Hi,
I developed a report program that reads stocks from table MBEW, but it doesnt reconcile with the stocks you get from MC.9.
Im thinking MC.9 gets the data from other source tables. I need to explain why its not the same and possibly modify the code to reconcile the quantities.

Data Browser/Table view Maint: Display/maintenance allowed with restrictions
and i have this conditions
- Create Maintenance view to maintain Z_SD_CUST_MAT database table using SM30
- Assign transaction code 'ZCUSTMAT' to maintain table entries
- Information like Created by, changed by ERSDA, ERNAM, LAEDA, AENAM should be Display
only and should be populated by the system at the time of data maintenance.
how can i display only this four fields and in the table maitainence genarateor what Authorization Group i have to use.

Hi, since you are in the table maintainence , all the non-key fields will be enabled mode. If you want these fields to be in display mode, make them key fields.
But why do you want to have these fields disabled when accessing through sm30? You may as well use se11 or se16 to view the data .

10.10.3 caps lock and tab key problems

Since I upgraded to 10.10.3 I've had no tab key or caps lock. No one else has written about this. Am I the only one having these problems?
I guess I will take the keyboard home to try with a different Mac.

It sounds like you updated your computer and now 2 keys do not appear to be working. You should use this section of the following article to troubleshoot that:
OS X Yosemite: If keys on your keyboard don’t work
If other keys don’t work
You may have accidentally set an option that changes how your keyboard operates.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Dictation & Speech, then click Text to Speech. If “Speak selected text when the key is pressed” is selected, deselect it or click Change Key to select another key.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, then click Keyboard. Make sure Slow Keys is turned off. If Slow Keys is on, you must hold down a key longer than usual before it’s recognized.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, then click Mouse & Trackpad. Make sure Mouse Keys is off. If Mouse Keys is on, pressing keys in the numeric keypad moves the pointer instead of entering numbers.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Input Sources. Select “Show Input menu in menu bar.” Open the Input menu, then make sure the correct keyboard layout is selected.
To see the keyboard layout, click Keyboard, then choose “Show Keyboard & Character Viewers in menu bar.”

WAE 512 and transaction logs problem

Hi guys,
I have a WAE 512 with ACNS 5.5.1b7 and I'm not able to export archived logs correctly. I tried to configure the WAE as below:
transaction-logs enable
transaction-logs archive interval every-day at 23:00
transaction-logs export enable
transaction-logs export interval every-day at 23:30
transaction-logs export ftp-server 10.253.8.125 cache **** .
and the WAE exported only one file of about 9 MB even if the files was stored on the WAE as you can see from the output:

End user identity is visible.
File markers are disabled.
Archive interval: every-day at 23:00 local time
Maximum size of archive file: 2000000 KB
Log File format is squid.
Windows domain is not logged with the authenticated username
Exporting files to ftp servers is enabled.

Export interval: every-day at 23:30 local time

Remote syslog host is not configured.

I made a test and I configured the archiveng every hour from 12:00 to 15:00 and the export at 15:10, the file trasnferred by the WAE was only three one of 12:00 the other of 13:00 and 14:00 the 15:00 has been missed.
What can I do?

Hi Davide,
You seem to be missing the path on the FTP server; which goes on the export command.
Disable transaction logs, then remove the export command and then add it again like this: transaction-logs export ftp-server 10.253.8.125 cache **** / ; after that enable transaction logs again and test it.

Disk space transaction and temp table lock in oracle

Today many sessions used to get disk space transaction lock and temp table lock and i am seeing these locks first time in my Production database,
is there any workaround to avoid this contension.

Other than the fact that you have seen a number what, precisely, is the issue.

Allocations are differing in table T811F and 4KE3 transaction(urgent)

Hi experts,
we have come across an incident where the allocations in table T811F and transaction 4ke3 are differing alot?can any one tell why it is so? the tracing factor tab of 4ke3 is showing 000 for some profit centers where as it is showing 100 in T811F table the sender and receiever rules are 1 and 4 respectively in 4ke3.due points will be given.

V$Lock and V$locked_object

Hi,
If i query v$lock, i am returned a lot of rows with TYPE=TX and with LMOD=6 but mean while if i query v$locked_object, i don't see any objects are locked, For the same SID i find in v$lock, i also fined undo segments allocated. why i dont see any locked objects in v$locked_object?

This view stores all information relating to locks in the database. Important possible values of type are TM (DML or Table Lock), TX (Transaction), MR (Media Recovery), ST (Disk Space Transaction).
You're finding TX lock with LMODE=6. So your transaction is locking some rows in exclusive mode.
LMODE=6 is an exclusive lock.

DIR not visible from attached sap object and validation check problem

Hi Experts,
I have created new sap object link for table BUT000 and transaction code is BP.
Now
1) when I am creating DIR through CV01N, I am able to view Object link column with one filed called PARTNER.
If I enter wrong or Invalid partner here, system is not performing any validation, it accepts it and if I save DIR it gets saved with invalid business partner.
2) secondly lets say i have entered valid business partner and saved the DIR, then in transaction code BP, I am not able to view any DIR for that business partner.
Need your valuable Input on this.

While adding the screen I had copy pasted logic from screen 1204 as per guidelines to add the screen.
One more thing added in guide line was, 'Please do not make any changes in it'.
I think this is the system check which is already there when we copy paste logic from 1204 but due to some reason it has got problem.
For the 2nd screen also I have given the same logic which is in 1204 screen of CV130.
But here the problem is when I double click on any Module or any perform it asks me to create.
That means this module and performs does not exist in function group CV140, they all exist in function group CV130.
I try creating the same modules in CV140 also but there are many variables, internal tables which does not exist in CV140.
Any help on this will be appreciated.
