Table over 1 page in length won't start on page with text already on it

I posted this in reply to a comment a while ago, and never got a reply. Pardon the faux pas if I shouldn't repost:
I do lots of multi-page tables that have a large number of cells with single line of text in each cell. The one I'm looking at right now has a row height of 0.21" for 42 rows. There are four lines of text on the page above where the table should start, and when I insert the table from Numbers, it jumps to the first line of the next page and cascades as it should. In Pages 2, I could insert a layout break after the last character of text on the page, set the top layout margin to 0.125" and the table would start on the first line of the new layout, cascading over any additional pages necessary.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If you place an object on Master page, that object gets locked for pages (on which that master page is applied) and cannot be edited.
When you place a content on master page, Muse puts the actual content and not just the container. So if you want different text on diferent pages, you need to place the txt boxes separately on all the pages.
Regarding your white box covering the Menu, You can copy your white box from master page and then go to your age where you want it and do a Edit>Paste in Place. It should place the white box on the page on the exact same location where it was on the Master page. This box on page is now editable for you.
And now you can delete the whiet box from Master page.

Can't find home page with current bookmarks and pined tabs/home page reverted to Fire Fox start up page

Some how my home page reverted to Fire Fox start up page and lost my up to date book marks/ this is very bad. I had just finished uninstalling some tag along programs that installed even when I hit decline when installing a program I received with the fire fox emblem that would automatically notify me of new updates on existing programs. How can I get it back?

.pages file created in Pages for Mac won't open in Pages for iPad

Just created a pages document on my Mac, saved it to my google drive and when attempting to "open in" from my google drive the file won't open in pages for iPhone or iPad (mini).
All versions of Pages are on latest release.
Messge reads:
Document can't be imported.
The file format is invalid.
I download both the mac app and ios app a week ago.

I've been testing file structures via google drive this morning and have yet to find a solution.
Compressed files will not open in Pages on the ipad and an upload to Google Drive of a .pages document re downloaded to my desktop will no longer open in Pages on the Mac.
Somewhere in the google ecosystem during upload or download / "open in" (on the ipad) the file is being restructured so that it cannot be recognized.
An hour call with the team at Google hasn't supplied an answer yet and they have opened a case file to investigate.
I'll update when I hear back.

Pages 5.0 won't open existing Pages '09 docs

Upgraded to Mavericks and updated Pages. However, new Pages 5.0 won't let me open older existing Pages documents saved on my Mac. However, it will open Pages documents saved in iCloud. When attempting to open Pages docs on my Mac, I get the following error message:
How do I get around this? Do I have to dig around and find my old iWorks disk and reinstall Pages '09?

Sorry to be "that guy", but i've done that without an issue, I can now add pages by copying previous ones, but now Pages 4.3 groups a new page which is blank, with page 13. It also adds a the copy of the last page below the two that get grouped together. So basically, I end up with 2 copys of page 13, and the original.

Won't start as it says it already is .. even though I've done a 'cold restart'.. answer to look for xpicleanup.dat doesn't work as I don't have that file on my system

quite frustrating...when I first got messasge that firefox couldn't start I 'restarted' my system.. still got same message that another copy was running and I had to restart (or stop other copy).
Still go message. then tried cold start...i.e. shut down and then start...
then found msage about looking for and deleting xpicleanup.dat... could not find it on path suggested so I did 'search' for the file.. it's not on my computer and firefox won't start...should I just earse it and download firefox again

Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

PB Won't start--grey screen with logo--no spinning wheel

Did an update that required a restart--got grey screen with the apple logo and that's all. Tried resetting the Pram and the PMU, no luck. Won't start in safe mode or from another DVD (tried both the original and my Tiger disks). It was working normally before the update (iTunes and I think an Airport update and a couple of other things). I've removed and re-installed the RAM with no change.

HD disconnected it starts from a CD. HD re-connected it now displays the spinning geary thing but doesn't get any further. Disk First Aid found and fixed many problems but it still won't go past the spinning thingy. It passed Apple's hardware tests. So--a new HD is likely in order but I want to try a more comprehensive disk repair program and recommendations for that and for a new HD are welcome!

Hello have a question, my mac won t start, it appears a folder with a ? Inside....can anybody help me.....

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

Firefox won't start loading pages at random times

Firefox doesn't even start loading websites at random times. About half of the time it works well and loads pages and then it randomly stops loading again. I've tried all the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can but the problem remains. As a coincidence I have a couple of friends with exactly the same problem - we all use Mac. (I wanted to add troubleshooting information but Firefox didn't work.)

I was convinced with you ans. And i tried by enabling the Local LAN option in VPN.
But all vain... Its working off the VPN but not on.
And I did something: installed old 10g XE and guess what! its working perfectly fine. I don't even need to change the port.
For the time being work is being done. but i'd love to know the reason n case with 11g.

3 beeps, then two beeps, over and the computer won't start up

My computer froze and it said I needed to restart. I help the power button like told and when it restarted the macbook won't load. The power light continues to flash and I receive three beeps, then two beeps, then three again and the process just keeps repeating. If I hit the power button the computer shuts back off. I can hear the hard disk running but nothing will load. Anyone out there experience this problem before?

Leopard Won't start, I messed with permissions.

Hi! Ok, i have a Macbook Pro, the hard disk failed and i taken it to repair, a new hard disk was installed and they put all my old disk information in the new one. I was happy. I started to work and realized that every time I wanted to save a file in an old folder i had no privileges, Tired (instead creating a new account) i selected the hard disk, get info, and put read, write execute permissions to everybody, and press Apply to enclosed items (!!). Ok, everything was fine until i restarted. Eternal grey loading screen. I used disk copy, repaired disk and permissions, nothing, disk warrior, repair disk and permissions, both programs said to me everything was ok, but leopard wasn't booting. Then I found the Target disk Mode, I connected my macbook pro to my macbook pressed cmd and T and yes! the disk mounted and i was able to see it in my macbook. I was happy again.(since the macbook pro have very important files) I worked with some files in my macbook and i had an idea, in my macbook pro System folder, get info and put it as read only, i didn't think that work but when i restarted, the computer booted! I was happier than ever! and i started to think i was some kind of genius. Until i restarted Again. the macbook pro won't boot. Ok, no problem, i though, i will use target disk mode... pressed cmd T..nothing...errr, well, i will run disk copy from the cd....cmd C, nothing..diskwarrior, nothing, the only thing it let me, is cmd and S, single-user mode and i've been trying to fix it from there for two days now, i'm desperate. To clarify:
Things i tried till now:
Cmd + T: nothing
Cmd + C nothing with any cd
PRAM reset: yes, i done that.
cmd + SHIFT: i done that
and cmd + S, yes works everytime but i haven't the knowledge to fix it by myself, I tried many things i read from this boards and the internet but my computer still dead, if someone can guide me, i will be forever grateful. All the sudos, chowns, chmods i made, gave me a /System/Library/CoreServices//boot.efi: Operation not permitted

I just can't believe... I invented that i had to press the command key for Target disk mode or start up from the cds... I spend a whole day writing unintelligible (for me) lines of codes in single user mode just because i was pressing a wrong key, after i read a thousand times the list of start up keys options. I feel sooo dumb.

I was able to save all my important files using target disk mode.
Then I repaired permissions using disk aid, leopard stills doesn't booting, but i really don't care, i have my files, i will try disk copy and if doesn't work, i will do a clean install, i will loose some settings, but no problem, it was a recent install anyway.

WCS won't start/run - Health Monitor is already running

I am posting here my frustrations with running WCS in a Virtual Machine (VMWare) and just wanted to let everyone know what my issue was and what fixed it. WCS will complain when the memory is below 2.0 GB at the time of installation, but does not stipulate that this will cause it to not work, only that performance will be affected. Until my server arrives, I am forced to run WCS in a VM on a Windows XP desktop that has 3 GB of RAM. Not wanting to suck up too much RAM for the VM due to the fact that the workstation is used for other applications, I selected 1.0 GB of RAM. WCS installed and started the services fine. I pulled up the login page locally just to be sure. When I came back to work today, it was down. The wcs-0-0.log indicated everything was fine, but the apache_error.log showed this:

So you can see that it shut down after a couple of minutes. When I ran the WCSStatus link, it showed only that "Health monitor is already running." - that's all. So with that non-specific error, I was left to continue the struggle on my own. No current posts in the NetPro forum describe my issue, although bug CSCsx34113 was close:

When a user log outs of the physical console of a Win2K3 server, the Apache process and the WCS JVM exit.
Conditions:
This only affects Win2K3 servers, and only happens when logging out of the physical console. Logging out of a Remote Desktop does not cause the processes to exit
Workaround:
Do not log out of the physical console, if you must use it.
Use Remote Desktop.
Further Problem Description:
None
I decided to bump the RAM to 2.0 GB on the VM anyways, and restart the VM. BINGO! WCS is up and operational. Hope this helps...

Hey all, I have also experienced issues with services shutting down when logging out of WCS on a Remote Desktop session to the WCS server. I have experienced this with every version of WCS I have installed from 4.2 up to 5.2.x. If I were to launch WCS in a browser on the server everything was fine until I closed the browser (a logout probaby does the same thing). I always used to check my upgrades to make sure everything worked ok and then when I logged off I couldn't run WCS remotely and would eventually have to restart the WCS server to resolve the issue.
With the 6.0.132.0 code I just made sure NOT to launch WCS in a browser on the server. I performed my check remotely and avoided the whole issue.
For grins I just tested this by launching a browser on the WCS server and signing in and out of the application. It continued to run (never did in previous versions). It looks like perhaps this may have been resolved (at least for me) in the 6.0.132.0 WCS code.

ITunes won't start. Conflict with ProTools?

iTunes was working fine and then it stopped working. It may be related to upgrading to ProTools 6.4, based on when the problem started, but I was able to get it up and running again for a little while. A few days ago it stopped working at all. The icon bounces briefly but the program itself never starts.
I've attempted reinstalling (many, many times) to no avail. I've deleted everything on my hard drive with the word "itunes" in it then reinstalled and got as far as agreeing to the software license. In the top left would be a grayed out "iTunes" tab and a "Help" tab, but the pinwheel would just keep spinning and that was as far as it would go. I tried to downgrade to iTunes 6.5 after deleting all iTunes files, it went through most of the stages before installation but when it got to the "Install" page the applications were all grayed out and nothing could be installed.
This is driving me nuts and I've spent far too many hours on this. Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be most gratefully received.

IPod Touch 4G shows in iTunes but won't start a session with PC

So.. I do get an error message saying that a session could not be started with the iPod, or as it says in Swedish "iTunes kunde inte säkerhetskopiera iPod-enheten "namn's iPod" eftersom en session inte kunde startas med iPod".
The iPod does show up in iTunes and I can view all my music, apps and stuff, but when I try to sync it I just get the error message.
Why is that?! I haven't dared to do any drastic things such as rebooting my PC or iPod since I know I'll probably loose everything on both, but I did restart everything, erase the earlier safetycopy of the iPod and such.
I have tried to google an solution but have only found similar questions with no answer.
Help me out, please! The iPod is only 2,5 months old, this can't be the end!

Try connecting your ipod to another computer and sync only 1 file or song just for isolation purpose only to see if it'll sync.
If still not syncing, then porbably you may have a bad iOS installed in iPod which is hard to see if it has a problem because you said nothing's wrong with iPod. I just saying is, it MIGHT have a bad iOS.
If you are unable to do a restore, put your ipod in DFU mode, then connect to iTunes and iTunes will detect your ipod in restore mode. Press shift key (PC keyboard) then click the restore button on iTunes. I hope you have your copy of IPSW file for restoration purposes.
