Tables in Flex

Hello!
How can I draw tables in Flex please?

What I am looking for is a classic table like the HTML one to display data with no interactivity and printer friendly: some columns, some rows, black border and white background.
I can use any of the HBox, VBox, Canvas containers, but it would seem bad coding to me to use one for each TD.

Excel type of table in flex

Hello,
i have a problem in designing excel type of table in flex
UI.As i know only Data grid which display as rows.how to display
the table loke excel sheet where sub headers and table as rows and
columns
and the user has to enter the data into each cell.any info is
welcomed.

Adobe Flex integration - Issue with populating table in Flex

I'm trying to populate a table EXORGDS. In SAP I have defined the same DATASOURCE as EXORGDS. Here is the code I have defined in Flex.

FM BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1 with table and Flex

Since you didn't post the WSDL itself I am forced to ask the obvious, is the table you want "exposed" on the web service side?

Sorry for that. I did realize that it was a mess after the post, but I had to leave.
I am using FLEX Builder 3.
I tried changing the parameter of the <mx:operation from e4x to XML and still the same issue occurs. How do I use the event.message.body in the code?

How to access internal table data from webdynpro to Flex application.

The data transfer from Abap WebDeypro to flex island works well. I followed , there is an example from Thomas Jung (by the way as always Great Work) and Karthikeyan Venkatesan (Infosys) but this example covers simple type only.
There is no example with complex types like arrayCollection which handle the transfer of data from flex to WebDynpro.
i tried to do pass internal table value to flex-datagrid.but its not work.
i would like to know
1.how to access internal table data from webdynpro to Flex application.
2.how to pass the internal table to flex-datagrid.
2.how to pass dynamically in ADOBE flex.
3. how to do Flex is receiving the wd context data?
4. how can we update WD context with FLEX data.
Ple give me sample example and step by step procedure.

Insert an HTML Table tag as a value in a Tree Table

Hi helper,
Can I insert an HTML Table tag inside a TreeTable (Hierarchical data) using AdvancedDataGrid as a value?
I need to create a Tree table in flex and I have beside normal int values some cells that need to show a certain images in an HTML Table I will create.
Is it possible?

My doubt is compulsory we give the view instance for flex field,
and also give the view instance for advanced table.
when i created the flex field in advanced table,it didn't ask the view instance.
the advanced table and flex field view instance are different

Inserting Into MYSQL Table Via Air/PHP = Not Allowed?

I'm having trouble inserting data into my mysql database tables through my air app. All the code is pretty much exactly the same as in some examples I've seen but it simply won't do it. Is this because of some sort of security restriction because the air app is on my machine and the server with my mysql database on is elsehwhere? Or is it possible to insert data via an air app?

You will have to use a common identifier, eg:
give each row in your database an ID.
then pass that ID value on the button press to a PHP script, which does something like:
$deleteID = $_POST["delID"];
mysql_query("DELETE FROM exampleTable WHERE ID='$deleteID
maybe check that a row with that ID exists first for verification, then pass back a value indicating if removal was a success or not.
You can delete on other values, but remember they have to be unique for the database, else you'll run the risk of deleting multiple values.
Or you could delete on a compound key, depends on the data you're storing in the grid.

The Flash Player has a very limited number of HTML tags it
can handle - table is not one of them. Since Flex is just a way to
build Flash Player content you are limited by what the Flash Player
can do.
We don't supply a full browser/HTML rendering engine in the
Flash Player because it would make the Flash Player a
multi-megabyte download (eg, 11-12 MBytes); right now the Player
has a small footprint which enables it to be downloaded by
virtually everyone.
The Adobe AIR player (see labs.adobe.com) does have a full
HTML component and can run Flex programs. The caveat is that the
apps are not run in the browser, but on the local machine. The
end-user has to download the AIR player in order to use it.

The MVC and Flex

Hi All,
I used the ColdFusion wizard to generate a simple table
update Flex app. I'm using this to give myself some examples for
correct programming. Is this pretty much the standard framework for
developing flex aps? I haven't done multiple tables yet, but it
seems like it would just follow the same scheme.
I'm jsut looking for a best practice here.
Right now I'm trying to understand passing objects from
Coldfusion to Flex. It seems to like queries, but not objects.
That's another post though.

Why doesn't list component identify grid component

Hi,
I have couple of doubts.
1. I put <grid> component inside of <List>
component . Surprise! The <List> component is not identifying
the <Grid> component. Is this bug of Flex Or it's property of
Flex <List> component.
What I have to do to make <Grid> visible even I put
inside of <List> component.
2. what is an equilanat of <Table> in Flex. Ofcourse it
may be DataGrid. Suppose If I use DataGrid I have lot of
restrictions.
These are the problems I am facing with <DataGrid>
( i ) Is this possible to put radio button / link bar as one
of column in a row. I mean how to put radio button / link bar as
row in array
( ii ) Is it possible to make columns in a row as variable
sizes i.e. suppose if DataGrid header has size=100. Is it possible
to make column of next row size as 200.
anybody help me in this regard. I am eagarly waiting for
reply.Because I have been strugling to solve this problem for last
4 days.

A custom itemRenderer will be the solution to several of your
issues(1,i).
For 2., there is no exact equivalent of an html table. Look
at Grid, TileList, or consider making your own component.
for ii), no, all cells in a columns must be the same size.
