Tablet 1GB promotion

We recently renewed our contract and got three of the tablets that came with the 1GB promotion.  It is not showing up on our Verizon Wireless web site and we are getting warnings that we are almost out of data, but that is because it is only showing the base 1GB plan and not the 3GB in addition it should be showing.  Our sales person (and the manager) both told us not to worry, but needless to say, we are!  Also, the warning notices don't serve any purpose when they are not reflecting reality. What gives? Thanks!

  • Misled about free 1GB promotion, not a happy camper

    Back in early September when the iPhone pre-registration opened, I wanted to take advantage of both the 1) iPhone trade-in program (for the 6/6 plus) as well as the 2) free 1GB promotion for each new smartphone purchased, and so I switched over to a More Everything plan (which re-entered into a new 2-year contract -- I was previously out of contract), and purchased 4 new smartphones.
    After waiting for about a month, the phones finally arrived, and I have gone and activated one of them. I logged onto my account expecting to see an extra 1GB added, but nothing. So after some searching around the forums here it appears that the 1GB promotion expired on 9/30??
    If this is true and I can no longer get the 4 x 1GB on my account, then I am going to be extremely upset. When I was placing my order for the 4 phones on the phone with a sales rep on 9/13, the rep had distinctly mentioned that I would be eligible for the 4 x 1GB. HOWEVER, first of all, he/she failed to mention that the promotion would end on 9/30. Secondly, he/she also failed to mention that that would be a problem for me since all 4 phones which I ordered would only be shipped by mid-to-late October. Had I known that I would not be able to get the 4 x 1GB because I would not receive the phones in time to activate them before 9/30, I would have strongly considered switching carriers, especially since I was already out of contract at that point. But unfortunately, now I'm stuck in a new 2-year contract with no 4GB that I was assured I would get.
    Is there someone who can clarify or correct this issue?

    So after several weeks of back and forth via AndreaS_VZW, I am glad to say Verizon has come through and resolved my issue. It was by no means an overnight process, and there were some hiccups along the way (not AndreaS_VZW's fault by any means), but thanks in large part to AndreaS_VZW I am now back to being a happy camper.
    Kudos to AndreaS_VZW for her patience and professionalism throughout my ordeal. I also appreciated the fact that she provided me with unsolicited status updates during the process. Hope anyone else facing similar issues will have as much luck as I did.

  • Can I still get the 1gb promotion if I but my phone from the Apple Store?

    Both phone s on my account have been up for upgrade for about 6 months now. We currently have the 700 family share plan. We want to upgrade at least one of the phones to the Iphone 6 and switch plans to the more everything plan. But none of the verizon wireless stores have the phone in stock. The Apple store does. So, can I get the promotion of the extra 1gb a month when activating a new 2 yr contract with smart phone, if I Purchase the phone from the apple store, so I can get my phone today instead of later this month ?

  • Details about the extra 1GB  free data promotion

    I noticed that you have a new promotion to add 1GB of data for where when you buy/activate a new smartphone. We currently have 4 smartphones in our family plan. One of the phones (iPhone 5) is being upgraded to an iPhone 6  (already preordered). We would then like to take the iPhone 5 and activate it with a new phone number for my son. Would we be eligible for the free 1GB of data and would we have to do this all at the same time? And noticing the expiration date of 9/30 on this offer, what if our iPhone 6  does not come until mid-October (like our confirmation is telling us)?

    Thanks for the additional details! If you would like to activate the iPhone 5 on the new line to guarantee you are able to receive the 1GB promotion you can place a temporary device on the line that the iPhone 5 is on to use until the iPhone 6 arrives. If you would like you can also start the new line with another smartphone now and then activate the iPhone 5 on the new line when the iPhone 6 arrives to activate.

  • 1 GB Promotion Error...Need help!

    I received and activated my iPhone 6 Thursday.  Unfortunately, the extra 1 GB of data did not show up on it's own.  I called Customer Service Friday and both the Rep & Supervisor said there is no way to fix this because the system automatically adds it and it's not an option for them to add.  So why did I get an email advertising this promo if Verizon cannot follow through?  And really, there is no way to manually add it when a customer is deserving of it (sounds like a great scheme to me)?  Does Verizon have "Joshua" from War Games that it cannot outsmart?  Who do I need to contact to get this corrected?
    BTW...I posted this question in Plans & Services on Friday and a rep was quick to ask for my credentials but then never got back with me.  Another customer posted the same issue in my thread and a different rep is assisting her.  I've followed up in that thread and I can't get either rep to reply.

    After taking to 5 CS Rep and was given the run around.  The first 2 rep said that they would note it on my account for a manager to approve and it would take 2 weeks.  They were going to email me that it was added to my account.  But they never did.  So today, I spoke to 3 CS rep.  The first one added a 1GB promotion to my account, but it was only till 01/2015.  I ordered the iPhone in Oct and activated it the first week of Nov when I received it.  So I used the Verizon Chat and talked to the 2nd CS rep today.  She said that she cannot add it on my account since the promotion expired and I had to go to the Verizon store to talk to a manager to add it! What a bunch of **.  Out of frustration, I chatted again about 2 hours later and got Tammy on the IM.  I explained to her my situation and she was able to add 2x 2GB for our phone.  It was 2 plan, the first promotion will expire on Dec 2015 and then the 2nd promo will kick in and expire on Nov 2016.  Come on Verizon rep. I had to take 5 CS rep within a month to resolve the nationwide promotion that was on your Website and commercials on TV!!  Is it new CS rep that I talked to that don't know anything?  Verizon need to train their CS better and not waste my time.  I give Tammy a 10 and give Verizon Wireless a ZERO! It should not be this hard to add a nationwide promotion!!!!

  • Want to change share everything plan, but have a conundrum.

    I went into a Verizon store a couple of months ago to buy a smartphone. First time dealing with Verizon so they ask me what I am looking for and what kind of data I want to be allowed. After telling them what I wanted (unlimited talk and text, 1GB of data) they offer, "Since you are signing for a 2 year contract we have a promotion going on that you can get a free tablet (Elipsis) and 1GB of data per month for life." I thought, "Hey sounds good" right? So I went with that deal. I got a S4 with 1GB and the tablet on the share everything plan for $90 a month. After a a couple of months I saw my tablet used roughly a total of 10MB in those two months. So I decided I really didn't need it. I decided then to drop my data down to 250MB a month and still keep my 1 GB, so I thought. By selecting that I was informed I would lose my data promotion. Ok, Let's see what else I can do. I call Verizon to see about their single line plans for 1GB. They said if I wanted to go that route I would have to pay $165 for an early termination fee for the tablet line. So now I am left to either lose my data promotion for the tablet and still end up paying the $10 a month line fee, or pay $165 to cancel that line to get the single line plan. I don't see how how I can be charged the termination fee for a device I was given for free along with the data and for them to take away the promotional data because I want to lower the data on my share everything plan. The single line plan I am looking at is $60 a month and to drop the data on my share everything plan along with the 1Gb promotional data it would come to $65 (If I was allowed to do that). Seems kind of unfair to me.

        Hiker_Dude, we want you to take advantage of the best deals on our network. The tablet device was offered for free with a two year agreement. Do you remember signing the two year contractual agreement? Additionally, a letter confirmation was also sent to your billing address that confirmed these changes on your account, as well. As a result, if you cancel that line before the contract expires, the Early Termination fee would be valid.

  • Are There Any Good Windows Store Apps For Managing AD Users?

    I'm thinking of buying the $79 HP Stream 7 tablets (1GB RAM 16GB storage) and using them as pocket computers to manage AD users while walking about.
    We could simply run Remote Desktop to access our workstations and use RSAT tools, but it would be nicer if there was a touch friendly interface we could use on a 7 inch screen to easily do tasks such unlock and reset user passwords without dealing with remote
    controlling another PC through the tiny desktop UI.

  • What can I do if not one but two different supervisors have promised to call me back but have not?

    We had 4 lines and shared 6Gb/1Gb promotional of data.  Bill was appoximately $290 after receiving an employee discount through my employer of
    22% on the plan (does not apply to the individual lines).
    To make a long story short my wife called early in September about adding our oldest daughter back to our plan.  She spoke with a representative by the name of Devin who told her that our bill would NOT go up but instead would go down automatically once we moved to a plan with 10Gb and that the bill would be approximately $225-235 per month for the 5 lines.
    September 15th before adding my daughter we called again to verify the charges and finding out what we had to do to add her back.  This representative also told me the bill would be $235 per month but couldn't explain why - she did see that it was in the notes.   I was also was told that it was best to add her the night after her employer plan stopped covering her phone.
    September 18th before adding her we called to find out what we had to do to add her back.   This rep repeated what the others had said about the upcoming monthly charges.
    The following Monday or Tuesday I called and talked with yet another representative trying to discover what was the reason for the bill dropping so significantly.  The lady I spoke with indicated that we were to get a $22 (NOT $25) discount per line.  I know its an odd figure thats why I remember it.
    Sep 26th - called and spoke with representative who told me that we woud NOT be getting any discounts.  I then spoke with a supervisor (Derrick) who explained that we should have already been getting $25 off for two of the lines and gave us credit for 1 month charges but nothing else.   I asked him to pull the recordings - he said give him a week to investigate and make it right.
    Oct 3rd - a week later - Derrick missed the callback.
    Oct 4th - called and was advised that they had no way to get in touch with Derrick other than sending a message (I have to admit the gentleman was extremely pleasant - one of the better reps I've encountered) - said as much to his supervisor.
    Oct 11th - talked with Priscilla and then her supervisor who said that one of the reps was her employee - would talk with her/pull the recording and call me back in an hour.  She never called back.
    We never asked for any discount - it was a Verizon employee that told my wife that the bill would go down to $230.  Not once but 4 different times.  Two supervisors promised they would pull the recordings and call us back but never did.
    I'm not stupid - If the recordings proved that we made this up or that Verizon had NOT told us that the bill would go down to $230 then they 
    would have called back and rubbed it in my face.   By them not calling back I know that they have discovered that we have stated the facts as
    accurately as we can remember and have not made this up.
    Is there anyone at Verizon that can resolve this situation to our satisfaction?  There's a lot of difference between the promised $110 discount and the $50 indicated by Derrick.

    Don't worry you will not hear back if it's anything like my last few interaction with this company good luck. Oh you may have one of these online CSR tell you they are here to help but that just a smoke screen.

  • Tablet promotion misrepresented?

    I stopped by the Verizon Company Store in Perrysburg, OH for a few questions on an older phone acting up. While there the salesman promoted 2 "free" Ellipsis tablets offering no charge for the devices, a $20 discount on my current 10GB data plan to cancel out the 2 tablets $10 line charges, and no activation fees. Sounded like free to me.
    Then the next billing cycled through with a $45+ increase.
    Called *611 and was told that adding the tablet promotion cancelled out my Edge promotion (that had no expiration date) because you can't have 2 promotions going at the same time. What kind of logic is that when the "promotions" are all on separate lines? No 2 promos on the same line. Whats the point of an unlimited promotion if your going to take it away later?
    The Verizon store misrepresented this tablet offer as "no increase at all to my current bill".
    The *611 rep told me I have to return to the Verizon store to resolve it. Great...a 100+ mile round trip in gas will add another layer of expense to me and no guarantee it will even get resolved!

    I also won a vzw rewards program coupon but mine was for $200 off and when I tried to purchase a new ipad air 2, 64 gb, I was told that I could not use the edge program because the computer wouldn't let them process the order. I don't understand why they wouldn't let me use the edge program, agreeing to a two year contract and paying the $429.99 out.  Is the goal not to have a customer attached to this company for as long as they can get you? Now I'm mad that I have spent the last month of my life bidding on the rewards site and telling other people about it. I will be sure and let them know how this turned out.

    According to the introduction text, any working tablet traded into Best Buy should generate at least a guaranteed $50 gift card to the customer.
    Today I visited the Vallejo CA store to trade in a working 32g HTC EVO View 4g tablet. The manger and several employees tried to process the trade in a variety of methods. Each method was either denied because:
    1. the tablet was not in BBs online trade in system or
    2. quotation of the fine print
    I'm displeased that I went through the trouble to travel to BB store with an excellent condition tablet and was rejected from the promotional offer. I left the store without argument, but upon reading the promotional page again it seems BB has outright lied about the details of this promotion.
    As another forum member stated, the word guaranteed should mean guaranteed.
    Please help.

  • Waiting for 1GB Data Promotion to be added

    I don't know how long it has to take to add the 1GB Data promotion to my account?!  I bought a new phone and renewed my contract for another 2 years on 9/19. I called on Friday 9/19, and one of the customer service reps had to submit a request for it to be added. I followed up twice after and it's still not showing up in my account?  Can someone please help?

    Customer Service didn't say that it'll be added next billing cycle?  They said that it's waiting for approval..it's been over a week and still haven't heard back (phone call or Direct Message) from Verizon Wireless Customer Support

    We just upgraded and activated a new iPhone last week and were supposed to receive an additional 1 GB data to our Share Everything Family Plan but have not received the additional 1 GB. How soon can I expect it to show on our account? Thanks for your help!

    I was going to call but figured I'd be on the phone forever on hold, so I chose to see if it could be resolved here. A rep from Verizon has been in contact with me so I hope it will be resolved in a timely manner. The thing that bothers me is why the 1gig wasn't automatically added to my account.   • Where is the extra free 1GB data each line promised?

    I purchased two of Iphone 6 on September 24, 2014 and I received and activated those on October 22, 2014.
    When I made a purchase decision, I asked and confirmed with agent if I can get a free extra 1GB each line for two years. That agent said “for each upgrade, you do, without changing your plan, when you activate the devices, you will get a free extra gb of data when you activate the device. It will apply once you activate the 2 phones. You will see the change in your account.”(this is the part of the saved chatting log).
    Now I cannot find that free extra data on my account, so I contacted Customer service. But the CS agent said that I was misinformed at that time and I cannot get that free extra data for my plan!!
    I chatted twice and called to make sure this promotion and I have the saved chatting log now. Was I misinformed three times? They checked my accout every time when I contacted.
    I really hope this promise will be kept.
    If verizonwireless did not misinformed? or lied free extra data bonus at that time, I planned to change the carrier.
    Please help me to get this data promotion!!

    You mention that you were on a grandfathered plan, and were having trouble getting the promotional GBs of data for your upgrades and tablets. This may be part of the problem:
    must be on a 1 GB or higher MORE Everything plan before the line is added or before an upgrade is completed (Don't activate the smartphone on a non-qualifying plan then change the plan - the promotion will not be added.
