Tabs on Top - When a tab reloads whole page jumps

I am trying to get used to the new tabs on top. My webmail is open all the time and reloads every 30 seconds to check for new mail. Every time it does this, the whole web page jumps down and jumps back up slightly no matter what tab I am working on.
During reload the tab becomes deeper slightly and this causes the web page I am on to move down by the same distance then go back up again once reload is complete. This is very annoying when I am reading the page or in the process of ticking a box or dotting an option as it means I miss it because it's moved.
This does not happen with tabs on bottom. If this can't be fixed I'll have no choice but to move tabs back to what they were before FF4.
Does anyone else have this? Is it fixable?

Use Firefox Button instead of Menu Bar.
Go to View Menu>Toolbars>Uncheck Menu Bar option.
You will see orange firefox button on top left with tabs moving upwards.

  • Can I change a part of HTML page from server without reload whole page?

    Hey guys!
I would like to make a page what shows a couple of information, some of these from database. I would like to refresh these datas every minute, but I don't want to reload whole page, because there are charts and other things that calculated in long time.
If I use IFRAME's than I have to use more than 10, and I don't know which is best solution.
    Anyone can suggest something?
My English is bad, so if you dont understand well what I would like to, please let me know and I gonna try to explain better.
    best regards,
    N.

The tag is a normal HTML -tag, which causes the browser to reload that page after the specified time.
So if you put this in you HTML:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Titless</TITLE>
    <META http-equiv="refresh" content="60;url=this.html">
    </TITLE>
    <BODY ...It'll wait 60 seconds and then (re)loads the page 'this.html'...
(so this can be the same or another page).

  • Keeping Active Window in Application top when Command-Tabbing

Let's say I'm working on several documents in Word while using a page from Firefox as a reference point. I'll type something in Word in one document (let's call it document A), Command-Tab to Firefox, look something up, then Command-Tab back to Word, expecting document A (the active window when switching away from Word) to pop up back in front of me. Instead, when I command-tab back to Word, another random window in the app is active, forcing me to Command-` until I cycle back to Document A.
This has become very annoying and time consuming; can someone please tell me if there's some kind of setting I need to flip on to make sure that the active window in one application will still be on "top" when I Command-Tab back to it?
Please don't suggest Witch unless it's the absolute only way to solve this. I gave it a try, and its reliability was very wishy-washy. Sometimes apps would show up, sometimes they'd completely disappear for no reason. I'd prefer to use something reliable.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Is this only happening in word? I've been using the tab function and don't have a problem, which suggests that it may be a setting in word.

  • Make firefox tabs auto-size similar to chrome rather than having the tab navigator arrows when the tab width is full???

I want the tabs to auto-size/shrink when the tab bar width is full as opposed to adding the annoying extra step of navigation arrows...
    any suggestions?

  • Loading content without reloading whole page

    Hi Guys
I have a "one page" wordpress site. But have hit a stumbling block in my creation.
Essentially what I want is for one of the "sections" on my one page site to have it's own menu, and for each menu item to 'reveal' it's own content beneath it without re-loading the whole page.
My first thought is an Iframe, but this might be a bit dated now.
A plugin would be most ideal to simplify things.
    Thanks :-)

    Actually yes
I knew there was something in my previous experience to do this job and that was it... "tabs"
Atleast it gives me the correct keywords to search for to find a more suitable solution.
So unless anyone knows of any good Wordpress plugins for this, concider this topic answered :-)
(ps. I'm not after a plugin to shortcut anything.... its more the case that I need it maintanable by clients)

  • Spry tabbed panels java script error screwing up whole page when I reopen document in dreamweaver

    I need help!
I am creating a site in dreamweaver and I am using spry tabbed panels for my content on every page.  I've created 4 pages.  When I go to reopen the pages after quitting dreamweaver 2 open and work just fine.  However, for the other two I receive a window that says,
this document contains javascript code for a widget that no longer exists.  If you don't remove the code, the browser may display javascript errors when loading the page.  Would you like dreamweaver to find all instances of this code for you.
I've selected both yes and no options and either way my entire page becomes all jumbled.  I've tried deleting the script in code view and it doesn't help?

  • Why Ctrl+Tab stops working when opening a flash embedded page?

This a huge pet peeve I have. Everytime I watch a video in youtube.com or megavideo.com, I can't just Ctrl+Tab to change tabs. I'll have to clic in some portion of the page without video to get it to work, but even that, isn't always the case.

I have been noticing that when using the computer the mouse keeps going in places where I really do not want and just now select the sentence without I have done anything. Sometimes goes to places like bookmark or open tabs in website when I am reading a page.
Also I have noticed opened windows that I have not opened.
I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.
Also I have add a password to my computer and even using the same one it looks like is not working.
The I photo stopped working, Mac Mail does not let me add rules (this is from one day to the other)
The computer is mine, the internet I use is payed by me with a password. I did not give permission to anyone to use my computer or share my files.
In system preferences in the sharing folder is showing everyone and staff.
My computer is private I do not own a company and I do not have a network set up in my house.
I had my photos removed from my computer and even after trying to reinstall I photo and fix the Mac Mail is not working.
I am receiving emails saying that I have sent emails to people that I do not know and including in a time where I am working and not using the computer.
Any suggestions in how to fix this issue?
    I really appreciate.

With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.

  • How to stop a while loop when using tab control

How do you use a tab contol to stop what is happening on one tab when you switch to another tab?  In the test example I attached, I have a while loop nested inside a case structure controlled by the tab control.  When I tab to page two the elapsed timer starts but when I switch to another tab it does not stop.  I can't come up with an easy way to stop or exit the while loop when I change tabs.
    Thank you

I played with it a little more and came up with this fix.  This fixes it but is not tied to the changing tabs as I was looking for.  Is this just too many nested loops and a bad idea?

  • WIsh to place Tabs Bar beneath address bar; No "Tabs on Top" options listed anywhere.

There is no "Tabs on Top" option.
Tab Mix Plus will move it to bottom of view-port, but not below address bar at top of view-port.
Extremely awkward; makes navigation difficult and harder to locate tabs, being more distant from view-port.

    Thanks, madperson.

  • Wrong tab switch order after moving tabs

    Photoshop CC 2014
    OS X Yosemite
Photoshop doesn't update tab index (?) when moving tabs around, causing ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab to jump back and forth.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create a couple of new documents, say 4.
    2) Switch between tabs using ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab. Works nicely from left to right and back.
    3) Move the tabs so the document name order would be something like 4, 1, 3, 2.
    4) Switch between tabs as above. PS switches between tabs based on opening/creation time rather than tab order.
Read about this in a support article dated some 4 years ago.
Is it me or does this come across as just plain wrong? Surely must be a bug. Something up with my mac/system/application settings?

  • How to display the search result without reloading the whole page

    HI,
I have separate fragments for Search Box to enter keyword and Search Result to display the result. Also I have different sections within the page to put these fragments. So how could I display the results without reloading the whole page.
Also if I have next button in my search result area, how could I display the search results in next page without reloading all other sections present in our page. Please let me know if any service or idoc function present such that result could be shown in search result section without reloading whole page.
Please let me know how to restrict page reload for every action within a page.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh

This is default behaviour of the template of your space. You can create a new page template and than you can create a region for the search results.
Or you can create a custom taskflow were you use the webcenter taskflows to search for the space.
Take a look at this white paper:
    Extending webcenter spaces: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/pdf/owcs_r11_extend_spaces_wp.pdf
    and this one:

hello, you have various malicious addons present. please try these steps:
    # [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
    # afterwards go to the firefox menu [[Image:New Fx Menu]] > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
    # finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] and [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
