Tax code - Account key

Hi all,
Each tax code determines one account key. Each account key determine one GL account, right ? Could I define one tax code which can post to many GL accounts ?
Thank you very much & regards,
Sylvecast.

Dear all,
Thanks for your reply. But what I mean is: Could I assign <b>more than one GL Tax accounts to one tax code</b>.
By exemple: I have a tax code whose rate is 10%. But there are several cases i post the tax amount to a GL tax account, another case i post this amount to another one. So, i need create two tax codes which have the same tax rate and assign them to 2 tax account depend on my scenario OR <b>just create one tax code and assign it to 2 GL Tax account</b> ?
Thank you very much,
Best regards,
Sylvecast.

  • Tax code accounting

    Hi Gurus,
I need to configure the Tax code as per below requirement for my client. Say I have created 2 tax codes V1 & V2
For V1 tax code in PO at invoice tab the system will display
    Base amount --100 USD
    Input tax -- 8%-- 8 USD
    Total -
    108 USD
But during Invoice Verification my client wants like this
    Vendor Account=100 USD (Credit)
    GR/IR Account = 100 USD (Debit)
Tax Account = 8 USD (Credit)
    Expenses A/c = 8 USD (Debit)
As per his explanation he will not pay the tax amount to Vendor as Vendor is not passing the tax but the client has to pay to Government.
How to avoid the tax amount not to add to vendor account ?
So please explain me is it possible in SAP how can we do it.

  • Regarding tax code in condition records in SD & MM

In MM we are maintaining net price in info record and tax code is given there, when it is settle with MRKO its calculating rightly,
Eg: Info record price for XX material is 100 and tax code maintained AA as 12.5%
In FI entries after FI settlement its showing right amount as 112.5 with tax
My issue is the same cost of that material is flowing from material info record to DP90 and in to sales order with the 100rs,here I have maintained two conditions as
    UTXJ  and ZVAT
For this I have maintained access sequence as
UTXJ- plant/tax classification customer1/tax classification material 1 as
    ZVAT- plant/sales org/material
When ever with the condition utxj comes it will take 12.5% tax and for
zvat I am directly maintaing 20% vat on  few materials.
In condition records if I maintain tax code here for 12.5% as A1 and A2 as 20
In MM tax code is maintained and in SD in condition records if tax code is maintained on same cost of that material  what will be the effect in  accounting will be. Please guide me.

You might be aware of the fact that Tax code used for MM is different from SD.
As for MM, Tax code are for input tax.
Whereas, for SD., Tax code are for output tax.
And you define this in FTXP while creating a Tax code.
If in SD Pricing, you condition for Tax are:
    Condition
    Value
    Amount
    tax code
    Account Key
    PR00-Base Price
    100.00
    ERL
    UTXJ
    12.5%
    12.50
    A1
    MW1
    ZVAT
    20%
    40
    A2
    MW2
    Total Price after TAX
    152.50
The accounting doc will generate on the bases of GL account maintain Tcode OB40.
    Where,
    Transaction = Account Key
There for respective transaction MW1 & MW2, you have to maintain respective relevant GL Accounts.
    Transaction
    MW1
    GL Account
    3210000
    Transaction
    MW2
    GL Account
    3210001
Whereas, Say, if your transaction or the account key is common for both condition type in pricing, say, MWS.
Then in that case you need to active rule for tax code.
With that in MWS tax code column will get active.
Therefore you can maintain GL accounts as
    Transaction
    MWS
    Tax Code
    GL Account
    A1
    3210000
    A2
    3210001

  • Excise duties from tax code need to captured GR/IR clearing account

    Hi Team,
    i have configured new tax code , tax code :- VZ = ED 12% +ECS 2 + 1% +VAT 12.5 ,
Clint want to reflect excise duties to GR/IR clearing account at the time of MIRO, already clint using tax code C4 - ED 10% +ECS 2 + 1% +VAT 12.5 , when i usage C4 tax code excise duties reflecting to GR/IR clearing account, when i usage VZ tax code excise duties reflecting to Material account,
i done same configuration for VZ with reference to C4 , but why excise duties reflecting to material account for new configured tax code
    VZ = ED 12% +ECS 2 + 1% +VAT 12.5 , i configured tax code accounting entries
    C4 = ED 10% +ECS 2 + 1% +VAT 12.5 already using tax code accounting entries , i want entries like below
please guide me where i need to make changes , thanks..

    Hi,
Please check the Excise indicator of the material. I think you are creating the PO for the material which is not applicable for Excise credit.
Please test the 2 Tax Codes for same material and check.

  • Withholding Tax GL accounts on Tax Codes.

    Hi,
    Help Needed.
We currently have Withholding Tax GL account determination based on two Tax Types.
We want to change one Tax Type based on Tax Codes only and other to remain on Tax Type.
In OBWW, when we check the check Box for account determination based on "Tax Codes", both the Tax Types are changing to Tax Codes.
Instead is there a way, to assign one Tax Type based on Tax code and other to continue on Tax Type ?

    Hi Sunil,
Could u pls elaborate ur problem.
In OBWW, when we check the check Box for account determination based on "Tax Codes", both the Tax Types are changing to Tax Codes.
I am not able to understand what u want to say.
If i understand ur problem u mean to say that u want to create new tax type & want to assign to the same tax code & account number.
For this u can simply delete that particular entry & create new tax type & assign the same to new tax code & to same account number.
Please advice if same u had done, if not then what u did to solve this problem.

  • Create New Tax code and condition types

    hi experts,
i want to create new tax code V10 and new condition types ZWKT and ZSTX under V10.
i have a requirement that is create service general Purchase Order with following tax conditions
    1. Work Tax 4% on 70% of Bill Amount.
    2. Service Tax 12.36% on 33% of Bill Amount.
while creating PO when user select ZWKT and ZSTX, system should calculate 4%( on 70%) and 12.36% (on 33%) and place the tax amount on relevant fields automatically.
( i tryed with tcode:FTXP and created tax code(country key: IN, procedure: TAXINN and taxtype: V input tax) but problem with assigning condition types and calculation procedure)
please help me in this issue (step by step).
    Thanks.
    srinu.

    Hi,
Here you have to create two dummy condition type for Base Value. One for Service Tax and other one for Work Tax.
Then create two condition type for Work Tax & Service Tax.
Ex : Work Order Base Value condition type is "A"
Service Tax Base Value condition Type is "B"
Work Order Tax condition Type is "C"
Service Tax condition type is "D"
In Pricing procedure just add all the above condition type as below
Both Base Value condition type will be calculated from System Base Value  & in FV11 maintain the Base Value percentage against the Tax Code & Condition Type as per ur req (70% for Work Tax & 33% for Ser Tax)
Work Order Tax & Ser Tax will be calculated from respective Base Value. In FV11 just maintain the tax %.

  • Requirement of creation of new condition types and Account keys tax codes

    Hi,
In what all possible scenarios will the requirement to create new Condition types and accont keys arise for the creation of new depreciation keys.
    Thanks

Unless you use jurisdiction codes, and no external tax system, for
example with tax procedure TAXUSJ, there is no validity dates for the
condition records.  You can see this differnce by comparing the tables
A003 without jurisdiction codes and A053 with jurisdiction codes.  A053
contains the extra fields DATBI (key field) and DATAB.  This is the
    standard functionality.
Please have a look at the following part of note 418582:
" Changing past percentage rates has to be inhibited in order to avoid
database inconsistencies. For this reason, the functions which allow you
to transport time-dependent tax codes with percentage rates from the
    past are not supported."

  • Creating a tax code in FTXP I can't fill in an account for NVV

Creating a tax code in FTXP,
for my tax code I've filled in a Tax Percent. Rate for Transaction Key NVV but SAP doesn't allow me to fill in an account for this
Transaction Key in the tab tax accounts.
    What cuold it depend on?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Well NVV account key in sap standard is a non deductible key and it would not be display in OB40 for account assignment.
If you see NVV properties in OBCN it will display check box ticked for not deductible and posting indicat. 3.But if you want to use it for tax posting untick that check box and change posting indicator to 2.
Then it will show that key NVV in OB40 and let you assign gl for this key.

  • G/L account item without tax code in document with deferred taxes

    Hi ,
While releasing the billing document to accounting i get this error " G/L account item without tax code in document with deferred taxes". Not able to release it to accounts. What could be the possible reason??
Actually, this error is occuring only when i am using a Discount Condition (Z Condition).
Please guide what could be the problem in the Discount Condition?
    Thanks and Best Regards

whats this Z condition type. Is it  a tax condition type. If yes , please check the tax code assigned to this in the condition type defintion (VK12) and in FTXP check if this code is assigned with Account key.
Also in the pricing procedure, if this condition is Active (not statistical) whats the account key assigned to it. Then check  whats the GL Account assigned to this Account key (VKOA).
Then in FS03 , check this GL account number and under "Control Data" whats the Tax category maintained. You can have a * for the tax category here.
    Hope this helps

  • Add tax item for a tax code in a G/L account item

How do we add a tax item for a tax code in a G/L account item. Basically we get an error when we release the billing document to accounting like
"Tax statement item missing for tax code"
    Diagnosis
No tax item exists for tax code O0 in a G/L account item...
    Appreciate any feedback.
    - Prakash

    Dear Prakash,
There is no other setting than this. For double check please check below again:
    1. Tax code created in FTXP (Input / Output tax)
    2. Tax percentage maintained in FTXP if tax procedure in formula based & percentage assigned in FV12 if procedure is condition based against the identified condition type
    3. GL asignement in OB40 for auto posting against the account keys.
Hope this will solve ur problem.

  • Account Determination for Tax using Sale Tax Code

    Hi,
We are using TAXINN and sales tax codes. We are using JTX1 condition in our sales pricing procedure for which we r maintaing condition record with correct tax code applied to it. We have assigned account keys in Tax Procedure, so no acct. key is assigned to JTX1 in sales pricing procedure. In record of JTX1 we are maintaining same tax rate (with tax code assigned to it) for eg. 4 % (not 100%) as maintained in tax code.
Now, we are able to save billing document but while creating accounting document system is giving following error:
No account is spesified in item 0000001002
No acct. was specified for acct. type S in item 1002 of the FICO doc.
The financial acctg. pgm. cannot process the doc.
A sys. error has probably occured in ther sppln. you called up. Check the data transferred to item 1002 of the FICO doc.
    Pls. help.
    Regards,
    Dipti

    Hi Dipti,
Hope you are working for Indian Client.
Since you are using TAXINN procedure, you should not use JTX1(Tax Jurisdict.Code) condition at all. As you are aware after implementation of VAT, we should switch off Tax Jurisdiction at all lelvels.
    SD Pricing Procedure:
    1. Condition Type Settings
    a. Excise conditions (if req'd)
    b. LST / CST Conditions
    c. Freight and Insurance Conditions
    2. Access Sequence Settings
    3. Maintain Pricing Procedure
    4. Assign tax code to Company code
Therefore, check your IMG settings once again.
    Bye,

  • Tax Condition type : Account keys in SD Pricing procedure .

    Dear SAP Gurus,
In the configuration of the taxes (Service, Ecess & H & Ecess)
The tax codes are defiined and the condition type JXX has been defined with the account keys .
Then the taxes are automatically posted to the accounts .
But in the SD pricing procedue for the same condition type the account key defined is EXD .
But where is this account key going to post the value of the condition type JXX ..
Please explain the use of the account key in the Tax Conditon types in the pricing procedure.
    regards,
    Amlan Sarkar.

    Hi,
The account keys ERL , ERS, DIFF which are related to revenue and sales deduction in your pricing procedure are defined in transaction VKOA. Here the account key, chart of accounts, your sales organization and G/L accnt combination are maintained.
Whereas all the tax codes G/L accounts get picked from transaction OB40 , So in your pricing procedure where ever you see tax account keys, make sure you go to OB40, input your tax code and then you will see all the G/L accounts against each respective account key. This is nothing but the calculation of tax on sales / purchases.
Hope this will solve your query.
If it does, please dont forget to reward points for contribution.
    Regards
    Ravi
