Templates in Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN

Hi!
I would like to use the templates from Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN --> Project --> Projectstandards --> Documentation types --> Project templates
for the documents in Tcode SOLAR01, SOLAR02.
The problem is that many of them are empty.
<b>How can I use the templates with content?
Is there some integrated Knowledge management system?</b>

SAP only provides you with some templates. Not all of the documentation types have templates assign to it & that is why it is "empty".
You can assign your own company-specific document templates to the existing document types or alternatively create new documentation types & assign the templates there.
Then ensure that these documentation types are assigned to your project so that it is accessible in SOLAR01/SOLAR02.

I would to delete a maintenance project from tcode solar_project_admin that is involved in Change Request management.
The problem is that I get the error "The project is already used in Change Request Management".
My question is:
- how to delete task list and
- deactivate the flag change request management
and to delete the whole project.

Hi,
Kindly ensure that the IMG steps has been fulfilled; also the transport domain, domain links and transport routes need to be configured correctly too.
For solving issue, I would propose you, to complete the maintenance
cycle by switching the project phase to "in completion" and close the
tasklist by closing the IMG and CTS projects, and create a new project,
assign a new maintenance cycle.

Not able to create project using tcode solar_project_admin

Hi,
In solution manager, in tcode solar_project_admin - when creating project, say (SOL200), I got message saying that (Project SOL200 already exists) .
from tcode solar_project_admin --> Project -> create.
I can not create any project, whenever I tried to create a project, I get error message saying already exists !! .
Please suggest on how to create project.

SAP Note 1540274 will fix this for you.
This error happens when the module SPROJECT_CHECK_EXISTENCE has an error in it.
Plz implement the note to fix the issue.
The error message you get is : SPROJECT303

How to publish template via tcode SE80?

Hi,
How to publish template via transaction code SE80 in R/3 to ITS, I could not find correspond buttions or menu path, will anybody tell me more detailed with a sample.

Hello tt,
When in SE80 go to Internet Services, specify an internet service then right click on the service (or template or mime if only one file is to be published) from the tree and select publish. You can specify where to publish to by going to the menu in SE80: Utilities > Settings > Internet Transaction Server tab > Publish tab.

Documents Templates for SOLAR01

Hi!
I would like to use document templates via Tcode SOLAR01, such as Business Blueprint.
Unfortunately some of these templates are blank and do not contain some information (e.g. business blueprint, scenario documentaion)
It is possible to upload the templates in Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
How can get these templates?

Document templates not visible in Complaints transaction

Dear CRM gurus,
CRM 5.0
I created an MS word document template using tcode CRM_KW_TEMPL in CRM 5.0 for the business object type BUS2000120 which is a complaint. However, after saving the template when I go into CRMD_ORDER for creating a complaints transaction type & try creating a new document based on the template, the name of the template is not shown in the window which opens up for selecting the template.
I have done the background config for setting up the document template profile, folder template & assigning these to the transaction type header. Can someone please let me know what could I be missing?

Is it same behavior on all sites or just 1 site
What do we see in Fiddler traces
Did you made any changes in DOCICON.XML
or some where else

CHANGE REQUESTS tab missing under SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN

Am trying to configure CHARM in our SolMan system. I referred to the below link for configuration.

I am trying to create a project under tcode: SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
while creating project with in SYSTEM LANDSCAPE tab we can see FOLLOWING
SYSTEMS /\ CENTRAL OBJECTS /\ IMG PROJECTS .
But am unable to see CHANGE REQUESTS tab which should be at last in the above mentioned sequence .
can any 1 tell me why its not there. Do i need to configure anything more to get the CHANGE REQUESTS tab

i had the same problem few weeks ago. I couldn't find the Change request Tab in Solar_project_admin
I fixed it by following : SAP note : 802793
The note explain how to re assign the client to manage change request management.
We folow the note, then the missing tab appear

Questions regarding Project Creation - SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN

Hi,
I went to tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN and created a project called ZTEST. Internally there is a tab IMG project from where i created a project named ZTEST for development system.
Questions:
1) Is the project created from SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN is a SMI project ?
2) IMG project created is what we are seeing in SPRO_ADMIN of solution manager .. is this right or is it the one creating in development system SPRO ?
3) Where can we can see the CTS project created for the SM1 or IMG project ?
4) Also do we need to create IMG project from SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN for the quality and production system type also ? or required only for development system ? if so what is the reason ?
5) I tried one project creating IMG project for quality and production but the project is not creating, but if i doonly for development system it is creating ok and maintenance cycle underneath it is creating... Any idea why ?

So if understood correct, basically only one IMG project needs to be created that too for Dev System. Also this is the stage CTS project also got created is it correct ? which again means only one CTS project overall per SMI project.
One more question which i missed earlier:
A SMI project created with only Dev and QA in the landscape and some reqs has been assigned to it and may or may not imported some of them to QA also, later i created a Prod system and made the logical component to configure for the same and it got reflected in the SMI project also. But if i go to scheduler it is not showing the PRD system, is it something to be done manually ?

Solar_project_admin to transport whole project

We have some documentation in Solution Manager (in transaction "solar02"). It is version 3.1 we are using.
We have to transport Documentation of project "smart" to a newer Solution Manager(version 3.2). However project "smart" exists aso on newer Solution Manager system but can be overwritten.
I am pritty new in Solution Manager.
I wander if transport function (track icon) can be used in transaction "solar_project_admin" to transport whole project to transport files and then import them to newer Solution Manager

as per above link u can try with option
1.
use Tcode - SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
1. Select the project in the project overview.
2. Choose the Transport Project pushbutton or Project ® Transport.
3. Specify the transport scope in the following dialog box. To transport the project without project documentation, reset the With Notes flag. The project documentation is transported by default.
4. Specify a transport request or create a new one.
5. Save your entries.

How to transport changes made on Workflow Template to other cleint

We have make changes to Workflow template via tcode PFTC_CHG (Change Task), with workflow builder screen, we make changes on the standard task, work item text etc, save the changes to workflow template WS90000XXX. However the changes we make is not save under a Transport Request number.
How to make the changes on workflow template to save under a transport request and transport it to other client. ?

Hi Eric,
All development and customization of workflwo are saved in a transport request.
If while making the changes it did not prompt you for a TR then check the TR in whcih the task was created.
To port TRs follow the below procedure:
1. Go to t-code SCC1.
2. Select the transport request number and enter the source system (client)
3. Click on 'Including Request Subtasks.
4. Click on button 'Start immediately'
This would port the TR.
Please note to port workbench TRs before the customizing TRs.

Where to perform SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN

i have some doubts to clarify:
1. Do we require seperate client to be created, i am talking about the client where i would use Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
2. Do i require a seperate client for Maintenance Optimizer,
3. can i configure Maintenance Optimizer in the same Client where i would create my project by Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN.

You can go ahead and use the same single client for all your configuration. You need two clients one for development and one production only if you have more customization.

Now what are the steps to go about. How to proceed.
Will there be only one Solution Manager or different countries will have sepearte Solman. Will one Solman will do all rollouts.

Hi,
1.Creation of Task list:
Go to tcode solar_project_admin->system landscape tab->change management tab->create maintenance cycle which will create a task list/maintenance cycle.
2.Before creating the task list go to img project tab,create a project in the development system.
Once the project is properly cretated and task list is created,other errors will be resolved.
Check and Revert back for clarifications.
