Test PCUI without the Portal??

Hi there,
i have a question. I am not famliar with BSP applications. So i hope you can help me.
We have the SAP CRM PCUI in our Portal.
So i wanna test now the BSP Application without the Portal.
I went to Content-Administration and in the iView of the PCUI
There i can see such things:
Applicationparameter: appl=CRMM_ACCOUNT&blview=ZMMB_V_ACC&sap-syscmd=nocookie
Business Server Page (BSP) Application CRM_BSP_FRAME
Startsite  entrypoint.do
Then i go to the CRM on ABAP side and called the SE80
There i found the package: CRM_BSP_PCF
And in there the BSP Application: CRM_BSP_FRAME
When i wanna test this Application a new window opens where i can choose the .do file.
I choose the entrypoint.do
The IE opens and a error occurs:
No Application Was Transferred to the Framework
Exception-Klasse CX_CRM_BSP_GENERAL
Fehlername
Programm CL_CRM_BSP_FRAME_MAIN=========CP
Include CL_CRM_BSP_FRAME_MAIN=========CM001
ABAP-Klasse CL_CRM_BSP_FRAME_MAIN
Methode DO_REQUEST
Zeile 55
Langtext -
So how can i test the application from the ABAP side?
Can someone help here?

Hi,
This kind of error because of the inconsistency in the Field group customizng. Keep a breakpoint in the exception and back track to the class. Or keep a breakpoint in class CL_CRM_BSP_FRAME_DETAIL method READ_FIELDGROUP. Here you should be able to find the fieldgroup responsible for the exception. Later you can correct the fieldgroup. You can also run the consistency check for the suspected fieldgroup in trx crmc_blueprint.
The best option is to identify the fieldgroups in the application where you are encountering the dump and then check the fieldgroups. In most cases, there is no issue with fieldgroup, it is more to do with layout generation. Please regenerate the layout for the field group.
Please do let me know in case of any issues.
Thanks & regards,
Bhavya

  • Accessing a Collaboration room without the Portal masthead

    Hi,
    I have the URL to the Collaboration room I created.
    I want to provide the link to the room to the user and it should open in the same window.When Iam trying to open it in the samw window in the content area, I am again getting the  coll. room opened with the Portal masthead(welcome area,navigation etc.,).Is there a way to create a link to the room without the portal header?
    I assure to reward points to all those who help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vasu.

    Hi Rabih,
    Finally, I solved it on my own.
    Here is the soln.,
    First create a copy of the Default framework page and edit it. Untick the visible checkbox for Portal masthead, toplevel navigation and detailed navigation.Save it.
    Create a URL for accessing this link like irj/servlet/pcd...
    Now coming to the coll. room URL, create a URL iview with the above URL and pass the Collaboration connector as parameter to the URL iview.
    It worked for me.
    If u need further clarification,mail me at [email protected]
    If the above answer is helpful, consider rewarding points.
    Thanks,
    Vasu.

  • Calling a page without the portal wrap

    I have a portlet with a form in it.
    The form:
    <netui:form action="toggleFavourite" onSubmit="return toggleFavourite(this)">
    If the user has JavaScript DISABLED, the form works like an ordinary form - the page submits itself.
    If the user has JavaScript ENABLED, the "toggleFavourite()" function is called, which submits the form entirely in JavaScript by extracting the target of the form, and calling it in script. This means that the page doesn't have to be reloaded.
    When using the non-JavaScript method, I obviously need the form to submit, and come back with my portal page, including the portlet I submitted from (i.e. exactly as it normally does in WebLogic portals).
    Whe submitting using JavaScript, I don't need the response to include any of the header/footer/pages/other portlets - I just want to return the single page referenced by the Page Flow (i.e. the page specified in the Forward action).
    Is there anything I can add/change in the URL that's submitted in JavaScript to specifically tell the portal server to ONLY return the content within the specific JSP referenced in the Forward action?
    The reason I'm asking this, is that it's a lot slower pulling down the entire portal page, than it would be to just return that single portlet content.
    I hope I've explained this clear enough, but feel free to ask questions.

    Nearly there.
    I can now generate a URL to the portlet, along with parameters to pass in. All that's left to do is trigger the action to make use of the parameters.
    It's beginning to sound very much like a bodge job - like we're trying to do something that hasn't been catered for. I've actually managed to get something working now, using a different bodge. I want to call the current portlet, calling the action "toggleFavourite". I therefore now do this:
    PortletPresentationContext portCtx = PortletPresentationContext.getPortletPresentationContext(request);
    String paramName = portCtx.getInstanceLabel();
    paramName += "_actionOverride";
    String paramValue = portCtx.getPortletUri();
    paramValue = paramValue.substring(0, paramValue.lastIndexOf("/")+1);
    paramValue += "toggleFavourite";
    StandalonePortletURL url = StandalonePortletURL.createStandalonePortletURL(request,response);
    url.addParameter("_nfpb","true");
    url.addParameter(paramName, paramValue);
    String postbackURL = url.toString();
    I then have a form elsewhere in the page, and use JavaScript to take the parameters from the form, and append them to the URL generated above.
    It's working, but it's not pretty!
    Sounds like 9.2 will be the only clean option.

    1) first check your portal desktop which frame work it is using.
    By default we use default framework page.
    It can be found in the path   Content admin->portal content.   in pcd content navigate to  content provided by SAP-> end user content
    There you can find the default framework page
    open that and check the desktop inner page and click open
    remove the portal favorites iviews and put your own iview there.
    My suggestion is make a copy of your default framework page and customize it and use this framework page in the portal desktop
    Search for customizing the default framework page and desktop in SDN. you will get lot of links
    Here is the help link to know more on default framework page

    Media cache files are not involved in the removal of the Adobe watermark from the project.prel file from a tryout.
    Just a re-enforcement mention...you cannot remove the Adobe watermark from a tryout "saved" exported product; whereas, you can from a saved/closed project file (project.prel).
    By exported product, I mean a burn to disc in the tryout or the Timeline of the tryout exported to a file saved to the computer hard drive.
    In the case of removing the Adobe watermark from the tryout project.prel, classically you delete the rendered files (Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files) in the purchased program. In no way is media cache involved in this. Some of us have found that there was an automatic removal of the Adobe watermark resulting from just opening the tryout project.prel file in the purchased program.
    Please review and consider.
    Thank you.

  • Publishing a site through UAG without using the Portal login

    Good Day -
     I'd like to ask if there is a way to publish access to an internal site through UAG without users having to use the Portal login - say by providing a link -

    Hello,
    The portal app is mandatory even if you not use it, indeed if you delete this app UAG stop to work as expected.
    In order to publish your internal site without going through the portal, in select application select the following options:
    Type: Web
    Web: Other Web Application (application specific hostname)
    With this you could bind a direct DNS name to your publication without using the portal in order to access to it.

  • Execute self Test (Press D at Boot time) without the internal DVD-ROM

    It's possible to execute the Apple Hardware test (using the Application's DVD pressing letter D at boot) without the internal DVD-ROM, by using an external USB DVD-ROM unit ?, thanks

    Not so — I've done it on my UMBP.
    Quoting from the UMBP user guide, pages 57-8:
    +To use Apple Hardware Test:+
    +1 Disconnect all external devices from your computer except the power adapter.+
    +If you have an Ethernet cable connected, disconnect it.+
    +2 Restart your computer and hold down the D key as it starts up.+
    +3 When the Apple Hardware Test chooser screen appears, select the language for your location.+
    +4 Press the Return key or click the right arrow button.+
    +5 When the Apple Hardware Test main screen appears (after about 45 seconds), follow the onscreen instructions.+
    +6 If Apple Hardware Test detects a problem, it displays an error code. Make a note of the error code before pursuing support options. If Apple Hardware Test doesn’t detect a hardware failure, the problem might be software related.+
    +*If this procedure doesn’t work, you can insert the Applications Install DVD to use Apple Hardware Test.* For more information, see the Apple Hardware Test Read Me file on the Applications Install DVD that came with your computer.+
    So Apple does acknowledge that this may not always work, but it is certainly possible on my own 2.4GHz UMBP — which is, of course, running Leopard.

  • Accessing portal pagegroup pages without need to SSO login to the portal.

    how do I make an entire page group publicly accessible so that all users who try to access the portal page do not need to SSO login to view the page.
    I changed for the page as PUBLIC and given view privileges..however the portlets do not show up...can anyone tell an easy way to make a created pagegroup publicly accessible.
    It would be good if someone can elaborate on how ppl usually build a pagegroup which is publicly accessible without logging into oracle portal.
    Thanks,
    Prasanth.

    Hey Christian -- I think you left off one piece. He mentioned that the portlets are not showing up. Barring anything like external applications, it could be that the portlets are inheriting from their provider and the provider is not set to be public.
    Prasanth: To check/change this, go to Navigator and the Providers tab. Then drill down to the provider where your portlets are. Click Grant Access on the provider level or drill down to the individual portlet depending on how your portlets are setup.
    If you grant public access on the provider level, everything under that provider will be publicly accessible unless you set them otherwise. To grant public access to a provider, add the user PUBLIC and give them execute rights. To grant public access to an individual portlet, drill to that portlet and click grant access. Clear the check mark that says Inherit Privileges from Portal DB Provider and grant the user PUBLIC execute access to that portlet.

  • 500 Internal Server Error when I add struts portlet in the portal

    I'm using jDeveloper 10g and have created a sample struts app which is working fine when using the regular struts-html.tld tags and struts-bean.tld tags .I'd like to get it working using the pdk-struts-html.tld taglib though so that I can deploy it as a portlet.
    When I run the jsp page as follow:
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/pdk-struts-html.tld" prefix="pdk-struts-html"%>
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-bean.tld" prefix="bean"%>
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=GBK"%>

    <pdk-struts-html:password property="password" />
    <pdk-struts-html:submit />
    </pdk-struts-html:form>

  • ESS with ERP2005 (without a Portal)

    Hi,
    in the moment we are using ESS with SAP Enterprise (4.7).
    Now we are planning the Upgrade to ERP2005.
    We have several customers who has outsourced their HR Processes to us. We maintain their ESS on our SAP Servers.
    If we change to ERP2005 the problem is, that our customers have their own Portal which is often no SAP portal. The Portal is a very strategic IT part of our customers, so we have no access to the Portal. On the other hand our customers has no HR know-how to maintain the ESS om their own.
    We heard about the internal ESS. May be this could be the solution in our situation. Where can we get more information about the internal ESS. Who has tested this software already.
    Best regards
    Thomas

    Hi,
    the internal ESS is nothing else than an EP 7.0 "in disguise". It is a regular java stack, portal 7.0 and the BP for ESS and MSS just in one install on the same machine than HCM.
    It is of no difference if you are using a regular external Portal Scenario or an internal ESS.
    Generally speaking, SAP will push the Portal. It is now more or less mandatory for ESS/MSS and BW  - SRM will follow with the next release. Web Dynpro will be essential part of the GUI-Strategy and WD without portal makes not a lot of sense.
    So, customers with a different portal will need to pursuit a "Dual Portal" strategy in future, because there will be no WD integration int other portals. SAP stated very clearly in internal discussions that customers with a different portal strategy will have serious integration problems.
    What I recommend is using EP for integration of SAP and use KM with federated portals for "syndication", i.e. for content integration of other portals.
    When you are a provider of services, that would be a good point to start as a service offering

  • How can I print out the graph I need only, without the controls and indicators?

    I'm doing some programming in LABVIEW. I need to print out only the graph, without the buttons, controls, indicators. I tried to look for such a function in LABVIEW, but in vain. How can I achieve the result I expect in my programming?

    Hi Fenny,
    you should use the report generation functions to create a report containing your graph image and print it.
    Take a look at the Sample Test Report.vi you find in the report examples of LV.
    Just look at the part of the diagram where it is used Append Control Image to report.vi (in the center of the report functions chain); a graph reference is wired to the Ctrl reference input ( to create a reference of your graph right click on it and select create reference).
    Let me know if you need more help,
    Alberto

  • How to edit a spreadsheet (excel file) in the portal?

    Hello experts,
    at the moment i am working on the requirement to edit a spreadsheet in the portal.
    Until now i was able to display an excel file with the help of the 'KM Document iView (without content filter)'.
    Everything is displayed alright and i can perform changes in the spreadsheet.
    BUT: There is no such thing like a Save-Button or something like that. Does the SAP NW Portal already provide a solution for this requirement? Or will i have to develop an own application?
    I have already searched the forums and sap help, but i haven't found any solution. I can't imagine that such an easy requirement would need coding.
    Best Regards
    Marcus
    (Po*nts will be rewarded for good answers)

    Hi Marcus,
    I do not think you can do the task the way you want. You will have to look for some workaround that may be download the file, edit it and then upload it back. You will have to code in your application for that. If you want to do this way I can help you further to edit and save the excel.

  • How to execute the Portal Activity Report

    Hello,

    I saved I have restarted the service to effect the changes and in Portal Catalog

    I have clicked the Restart the portal also.
    I would like to know how to execute this Portal Activity Report after making this configuration.
    Can anyone help me.
    Thnx in advance
    cheers
    Kris

    Hi Kris,
    here an example with steps:
    1. Navigate to Content Administration -> Portal Content
    2. Step into a test folder and right click on the folder to create a new iView
    2. Select the template "Portal Activity Report iView"
       Name: Daily User Logins
       Technical Name: DailyUserLogins
    3. Open the newly created iView and define the following parameters
       under "Specify report content"
          Start of Reporting: Date 01.01.2005 and Time: 08:00
          End of Reporting: Date 31.12.2005 and Time: 24:00
          Time Unit for Reporting: Daily
       under "Configure report options"
          Information to Report: Number of users logged on
    You have created a new reporting iView, aggregating information about the number of anonymous and authenticated users on a daily basis.
    Hope this helps,
    Robert
