Testing the IMAQ with pattern generator

Hi, I'm developing a test box in which I need to send a generic,
monochrome signal to the IMAQ. Does anyone recommend a cheap, easy
pattern generator or alignment generator? I can't find anything in an
IC form, if it's even available. Just trying to get some input from
other IMAQ users, thanks.

Hello Derek,
I saw that the following post was not answered for some time, so I wanted to follow-up with it.
The cheapest solution for a monochrome signal would most likely be a cheap camera (<$100), but it will not allow you to generate your own test pattern.
National Instruments offer a Video Arb (NI-5431) that will generate video test patterns.

Wait... why is this up i thought, I thought I did everything like I suppose to to succesfully switch it to me, the new owner... but now its asking for some C******@yahoo.com.... I only have @gmail.com emails and none start with a C... The guy sold me the phone because he was switching to Verizon, and I tried to call him, and now the number is disconnected... I guess he switched to Verizon with a new number... Now im stuck with a paperweight that costed me $200.00... What can I do at this point... Please help me... What computer model do you have? Are you using the internal MIC or any external one? Have you checked the volume of that mic and try to decrease it? Also low down the volume from your speakers or from your default playback device.
What operating system do you have?
Please provide this additional information to understand more your setup and if the cause of it is settings related.
By the way, did it worked before? If its the first time, you can also try to update the sound driver or even remove it from device manager and having the device detected again, maybe in that way it will resolve the problem.

Now all out put was confiured with email.

If your SD output configuration is set up correctly, an e-mail from SAP using medium 5 should go through just fine via SAPconnect (transaction SCOT). When it works, the external recipient should receive an e-mail with a PDF attachment containing the form image, regardless of whether it has been created via SAPscript or Smart Forms.
Depending on your output determination settings, this even can happen in the background, without any interaction with the SAP front end (e.g. for invoices created automatically by a batch job).
Typically, a failed send will be flagged in the message control table (NAST), and this table should be monitored closely. However, there are many reasons why a document hasn't gone through, and this can be the case with both outgoing faxes and e-mails from SAP.
The solution to both is the same: After identifying the failed document, re-send it manually by going inside it in change mode and repeating the appropriate output. If an obsolete customer e-mail address was the culprit, a customer master change would also be required, along with an audit of any docs recently created for this customer.
If any underlying data has changed since initial issuance, a re-sent document may not appear identical to the (failed) original.
Sometimes, as when address info has been corrected, this can be a good thing. After all, the new document is more accurate than the old one.
In other cases, such as when pricing info has changed, it might be a cause for serious concern.
There are several ways to deal with this concern:
1) Limit the types of changes allowed on certain docs after creation
2) Set up a doc image archive via ArchiveLink and re-issue output from there instead of from the current doc; or
3) For highly sensitive docs, consider a more secure delivery method

How to Test, Inbound idoc ,with out the Sender System, using a Text File

Hi Guru's .
we wanted to test BLAORD03 inbound idoc (Message Type BLAORD).with out the SENDER SYSTEM.
on the same client.
we wanted to test this idoc with text file from our local machine.
Can anyone give us detail steps.like how to create File layout
with Segment name,and values for the fields.how to pass this file to the system.

Generate a file with the data entered through segments through we19 ,and use the same file for processing through we16.
when i am trying to do this syst complaing about

I work in the power conversion industry and do these types of measurements all the time…
Do you want to just measure power quality or create and measure power quality problems?
What hardware are you using?
Power quality analyzer?
Programmable AC power source?
Fast Transient Generator?
Here is an example of what I do.
To create PQ problems I use a California Instruments AC source set to nominal power for the unit under test. Using Labview I program several transients consisting of fixed and random duration dropouts and surges. I also use a Schaffer Fast Transient Burst Generator to apply high frequency noise bursts directly onto power lines.
For measuring power quality I use a Voltech PM3000A power analyzer and Labview to measure everything from voltage, current, and frequency, to harmonics and %THD

Imaq learn pattern 2 angle

hello,
i need advice about how the imaq learn pattern 2 computes the angle.
the problem i got is following: we use the imaq learn pattern 2 to get compare the angle between 5 pictures form a video. the first one is the reference pic (=0° angle). everything seems to work fine, but the angle changes with the size of the template and where it is cut out from.
i thought that this may be a problem with the pic. a lot of information in the picture stays the same only a little is different (just take a look at the attached pictures). can anyone please tell me how the imaq learn pattern calculates the angel, if it is the tool to go for to solve the problem, or should i try to get the angle from somewhere else?
Same picture - different size= different angle. Same picture - cut out a couple of pixels away = different ange?!?

Which version of LV and Vision do you use?
Do you also compute the angle via the Match Pattern 2.vi?

IMAQ Match Pattern

I just cant get my program to work. If I define the structure I'm
looking for with a ROI it works very nicely, but when I try to load an
image to look for it just crashes with the following error code:

A couple of things to look at-
If you are loading an image from disk and trying to use that image directly as the source for the IMAQ Match Pattern 2.vi, you will need to have the image "learned" previously, and then save it as a PNG. The PNG file type can save the extra information associated with a pattern to match.
If you are loading an image and learning it in your program, you will need to make sure that the image to learn is 8 bit, and that all other settings for the IMAQ Learn pattern are connected.

i have got the sollution. in the webservice i'm giving the input (03D86AFB7EE7D14585EF515C59B5F559) same as in data base .while testing the webservice internally the value should be converted into bytes bcoz in the domain the data type was RAW .
so db didnt recognise that value thats why i got the error.
so i use the fm GUID_CONVERT and convert that as db format

Which software to test the line? BERT or any advice?

need some advices about the best test method for below system:
I have a physical network line between two computers which consists of fiber optic cable, media converters and utp cables. Nontheless end of the lines are regular RJ45 connectors. Ican ping the other PC through this line.
but I want to test this line with a software running on PC ( Bit Error Tester or something similar software I can run on PCs and see if the line works fine)
I dont want to test the line with cable tester devices. Is there a software you can recommend me for test purposes?

Is the lightning bolt symbol suppose to blink while the battery is charging on the iphone with new iOS7 Software?

After downloading the iOS7 software my battery was having MAJIOR issues. Issue #1 Phone does not keep charge, #2 my iphone no longer accepts a charge from wires that are 3rd party(meaning a lightning bolt charger that is not made by apple), #3 Once the phone reaches 100% i will sometimes keep it on the charger as I use it but as I am using the phone on the charger, the percent of the battery starts to decrease as if it was not on the charger. #4 The lighning bolt DOES NOT blink while charger and it does not disappear once the phone is fully charged so it looks like the phone is still charging. Can someone please tell me what I should do and is it normal for the lightning bolt to blink while charging and disapear once the charge is full??

Can you shutdown the computer (Mac I suppose), then do the SMC reset and after that a PRAM reset (without the iPhone connected, also disconnect all external devices).
SMC reset for computers with no removable battery:
1. Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
2. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option(Alt) keys and the power button at the same time.
3. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
4. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Test the iPhone (with all other external devices still disconnected), still the same issue? If yes,
do the PRAM reset:
1.Shut down the computer.
2.Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
3.Turn on the computer.
4.Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
5.Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
6.Release the keys.
Test the iPhone (with all other external devices still disconnected), still the same issue?
If yes, disconnect the iPhone and test if everything is ok with sevral external devices connected, if OK: It may be a failure in the iPhone.
If no, there maybe an issue with the USB of the mac. But: you have to test by starting in another account in which you onle start iTunes and no other programs. It might also be a software failure of a user program.

Use of synchronisation with the SUN DAO Pattern

I am writing a DAO package to handle access to multiple datasources at a record level (e.g. user records may be located at datasource A, but customer records at datasource B). The role of the package is to provide DAO objects to clients (e.g. business objects in an application package to come later). Nothing too unusual. I have digested the SUN design pattern for DAO.
As I understand it, it can be summarised as: client code calls on an abstract DAOFactory to provide the appropriate concrete DAOFactory . The concrete factory can then supply the correct DAO object. The concrete DAOFactory is also responsible for providing the connection services (such as pooling). So far so good. I have pasted the concrete DAOFactory code form the design pattern page:

I have some questions on this overall design.
1) The design for the factories as given looks inelegant and requires upgrading each time a new DAO is added ? much better surely to dynamically generate the DAOs using reflection. If I implement a mapping of data type to data source using a properties file (typical entry, Key = Role, Value = Oracle), the use of abstract and concrete factories can be reduced to a single factory. The single factory reads in the mapping on initialisation and provides a method getDAO to client code. The method takes the data type, looks up the data source and returns the correct DAO class using reflection (e.g. the client passes ?Role? to getDAO and the factory returns Oracle + DAO + Role = OracleDAORole.class). This also has the advantage that the client code does not need to specify the data source to use. I have read some forums and note that performance is an issue with reflection; however I have not seen any significant difference in performance between using reflection to generate a class name and using a factory pattern (e.g. testing just the code paths, for 10 million operations, both reflection and factory took 2.5 seconds each). Does anyone have any opinions on the pros and cons of this approach?
2) If we go with the original DAO design (ignoring 1 above) I have marked the part of the concrete factory code that I have a problem with: using a connection pool in the concrete factory. As the factory?s createConnection method is static, you cannot use NotifyAll or Wait methods here, and therefore you cannot synchronise access to the pool (correct?). I have therefore created a separate connection pool class (which uses the singleton pattern and uses synchronised methods to manage the pool). Is this a sensible way to approach this or is there a clever way to synchronise access to static methods?
