Testing webservice using Weblogic's test client
Hi,
Getting this when I start the test client to test the webservice, looks like its a MAC address....what i expect is the IP address, bit of a pain having to type the ip address each time. Any help would be great.
http://[2002:1011:cd64::1011:cd64]:7001/wls_utc?wsdlUrl=http%3A%2F%2F%5B2002%3A1011%3Acd64%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A1011%3Acd64%5D%3A7001%2Ftransactions%2FTransactionService%3FWSDL
Using weblogic 11g running on Windos 7, this is my test machine.
regards
David
An alternative is:
use txn WSADMIN and open the node for your web-service. Then, press the 'Rench' button or F8 to open the web based test tool.
You need to provide logon credentials if basic authentication was required for the WS.
Pls reward points if helpful.

Got SSLKeyException:FATAL Alert:BAD_CERTIFICATE using weblogic ws test tool
Hi,
Iam trying to test the webservices using the WebLogic Webservice standard testing home page. The services work fine without SSL, but if the server is setup to use SSL, I get a BAD CERTIFICATE exception using the testing home page.
Although, when I invoke the services through a different SOAP client they do work with SSL turned on provided I import the trusted ca (using my own certificate authority) to java cacerts file.
I set up the custom trust and identity keystores and Iam using my own trusted authority. Configured the SSL as detailed in
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/secmanage/ssl.html
Is this a bug related to WebLogic Webservice testing home page or am I missing something. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I converted the trusted CA cert to PEM format and copied it to the domain directory and restarted the weblogic server after setting the following properties weblogic.webservice.client.ssl.strictcertchecking=false
weblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
But, Iam still getting the BAD certificate exception.

Error while testing webservice using SOAP
Hi,
While i was testing my published webservice using soap-ui it gave me following error,
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<soap:Body>
<soap:Fault>
<faultcode>soap:Server</faultcode>
<faultstring>Internal SOAP Processing Failure</faultstring>
<detail/>
</soap:Fault>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
and in the event log i can see a event as follows and there is no warning or error
Upon investigation i got to know the following steps might solve the problem..i.e..
- Is the receive location for the SOAP webservice enabled? - YES
- Can you browse to (the WSDL of) the webservice? Is displayed correctly? -YES
- Is the webservice configured to run in the correct application pool? -YES
-The user under which application pool is running have the read/write permission on the %temp% folder.-Dont Know how to check
-In IIS,Check the identity of the application pool on which Web service is running and make sure that the user is the member of both “IIS_WPG” and “BizTalk Isolated host users”.
-DONT Know how to check
Please Help me in guiding me in the last two points
and if there are any other solutions for this..
Thanks,
Sarva.You mentioned you checked that the webservice is configured under correct application pool. you can find the user under which the application pool is configured (open iis- > select application pools -> find out the "Identity column" to
know the user for your application pool.
-The user under which application pool is running have the read/write permission on the %temp% folder.-Dont Know how to check
Go to run -> type "%temp%" -> Go one step back -> Right click to the folder -> Properties -> Security -> check the application pool user is present under "Group or user names"
-In IIS,Check the identity of the application pool on which Web service is running and make sure that the user is the member of both “IIS_WPG” and “BizTalk Isolated host users”.
-DONT Know how to check
Refer How to Add Service Account to the IIS_WPG Group to add your application pool user under IIS_WPG. Also similar activity to add your service account to "BizTalk Isolated
host users" if it is local groups. Or Ask your network support team if "BizTalk Isolated host users" is domain group.
Please Help me in guiding me in the last two points
and if there are any other solutions for this..
Thanks,
Sarva.
Your event viewer might have more information pointing exactly what is causing "Internal SOAP processing failure".
Also refer this
which might be helpful for you.

Tool to test Webservices using SwA (Soap with Attachements)
Hi All,
I generally use the took xmlspy to test any webservice.
But now i am working with a webservice that is using SOAP with Attachemtns.
it seems we cannot use xmlspy to test/invoke webservices that use soap with attachements.
is there any tool by which we can send/receive soap message along with attachements to and from webservices.Hi,
Have you tried SoapUI?
The standard (free) version & SoapUI Pro both support soap with attachments. Try it out & see if it works for you. SoapUI is proving to be one of the best tools for testing web services.

Issue with testing webservice using SOAMANAGER.
Hello,
I created an RFC and exposed it as a webservice. Everything worked fine.
I had to enhance the RFC by adding a couple of field, and then I recreated the webservice. When I now test this webservice using the SOAMANAGER I get the following error message.
Message Envelope not found. Probably empty soap message.
Any pointers as to what could be going wrong. I have deleted the entire webservice, and recreated the service in the SOAMANAGER. I also restarted the browser so there was no caching issues on the browser with sessions and stuff like that.
Thank You for your help in advance.

Using weblogic as ssl client?
Hi,
I am trying to connect from en ejb to a remote rmi server using ssl, I imported the servers key into the weblogic keystore and I see that's in there when running in ssl debug but the server complains

is there anything I have to set up in the config.xml or elsewhere? As ssl server it works fine.
Thanks,
IggyYou can do the Auto Sign-on through Smart Tunnel. If you need SSL VPN - then choose webvpn & SSL VPN. If you need only webvpn, then use only webvpn. With regard to java info of port-forwarding, check if the list is being used in the group-policy.
While the smart tunnel now allows Java applet to work for some application, single sign on no longer works for it. Try creating a bookmark for the application and enable the ST option. This is a Smart Tunnel limitation.

Webapp client using weblogic-generated stubs
Hi,
I have a simple webservice that has been tested for a while and works without

I am trying to code a webapp client (using jsp/struts) using the same stubs, and

EHi,
Thanks for your help with this. As it turns out, I received this message from
the weblogic team here:
=======
All,
The J2EE monitoring tool OVTA rolled out to Weblogic Farm Linux QA and Stage environment
had a bug in the instrumentation. The bug induces a java.lang.IllegalAccessError.
A patch as been rolled out to fix this issue.
=======
Once the patch was rolled out and weblogic was restarted, the issue disappeared.
Thanks again for your help!

Any ideas? I am seeing identical behavior on 2 different applications.

Hello,
The 7.0 reference is a namespace and not a problem and not associated
with your issue. I think you are seeing normal process threading

with jsp sessions. There is an example using a jsp [1] and one with

Not able to test webservice through enterprise manager
Hi All,
We have deployed few composites. Deployment was successful. but when we try to test the service using "Test" button in the composite. we are getting an error below the WSDL URL in the Test Webservice page.
Following is the error:
Either the WSDL URL is invalid or the WSDL file is not valid or incorrect. - oracle.sysman.emas.sdk.wsm.WsmServiceAccessException: Cannot locate service: oracle.wsm.policymanager.IPolicyService
I'm able to open the WSDL in browser. We dont have any OWSM policlies set for any of the composites.
When i use the WSDL URL in a partner link, the operation and other properties getting loaded, i/p and o/p elements of the WSDL also getting retrieved.
SOA version: 11.1.1.6
This is applicable for all composites we deployed.
Please help us in resolving this issue.

AshishIn Overview of service in SOAMANAGER you have
Open porttype WSDL document
Open WSDL document for selected binding
Open Web Service navigator for selected binding
The WSDL is a xml file so if you click second link is correct you get xml page. If you want to test the service giving it an input you have to click on third link.
For what about no entry in WSADMIN, I am facing this issue too, but I think it's normal because the complete management of the web service should migrate to SOAMANAGER, being obsolete WSADMIN.

Unable to capture the Citrix network response time using OATS Load testing.
Unable to capture the Citrix network response time using OATS Load testing. Here is the scenario " in our project users logs into Citrix network and select the Hyperion application and does the Transaction and the Clients wants us to simulate the same scenario for load testing. We have scripted starting from Citrix Login and then launching Hyperion application. But the time taken to launch the Hyperion Application from Citrix network has not been captured whereas Hyperion Transaction time have been recorded. Can any help to resolve this issue ASAP?

while configuring The Test Agent on Client machine.
Pre-requisite used:
VS2012 update 4, Test agent & Test controller of same version used
User has TFS admin access.
Same user id used for configuring Test Agent.
Description:
Test controller is installed on server A. I want to install test agent on client machine B.
Windows Fire wall is OFF on both Machines A & B. While configuring Test Agent below error is occurred:
“Test Agent could not connect to the test controller”
In log file error was “I, 2015/04/02, 15:32:21.723, Could not get the status from the test agent. Exception: Failed to connect to an IPC Port: The system cannot find the file specified.”
In Event viewer below error details given:
Unable to connect to the controller on ‘My Server: 6901’. The agent can connect to the controller but the controller cannot connect to the agent because of following reason: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.
Make sure that the firewall on the test agent machine is not blocking the connection.
Could you please help me to find solution?
Thanks in advance!

KanchanHi Kanchan,
So on each computer, you create a local user account that is a member of the Administrators group, and use the same account and password on each machine(controller and Agent), am I right?
Could you enable the detailed log message?

met a similar issue before which was related to the Firewall exceptions, maybe you could refer to it here:

Using Loadrunner to test Jinitiator applets
I am not familiar with JInitiator, and I am currently researching using LoadRunner 7.5 to perform load testing on an applet using JInitiator 1.1.8.19. The applet also uses Java RMI as its messaging protocol.
Is there any information about how to do load testing on JInitiator, or has anyone used Loadrunner for Jinitiator jvm-based testing before?
If so, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Of course, the deadline for my research was yesterday! :/
Thanks,
Brent FriedmanYou want to use LoadRunner 7.5 to load test Forms? This is possible, just make sure you use Oracle NCA. The rest should be straighforward.
You don't test JInitiator, as such. LoadRunner will simulate the clients. So you don't need to do "Jinitiator jvm-based testing". Remember, you're testing Forms on the middle tier, no JInitiator on the client.

Could anyone guide me the procedure step-by-step to do it. Any help is really appreciated. Can I send the merged wsdl through XML spy to a test webservice and test it. How can i create a test webservice to test it.
Thanks
MichaelHi,
