Text Filter Brightens the Image

I'm trying to add some text to my video, which is fine, but then it brightens the image. Is there a way to prevent that?

Using just the basic text?

If the program was working fine, and now isn't, or just isn't working the way it should, the first things to do are:
1) Trash your FCP preferences. Download the Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/pref_man.htm

2) Open the Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.
3) Shut down for 10 min. Go for a quick walk around the block and get SOME exercise today. Come back, turn on the computer and see how things are.

Why is the text going over the image when the text layer is below the image layer?? It is so frustrating.

Are you sending the texts to his phone number or his Apple ID? It might be that the texts originated from your phone is to his Apple ID and not his phone number and his Apple ID was not registered for the Message app on his phone. So any texts to his Apple ID is not received by his phone.
Can you receive his texts? If yes, then reply back from what he send you and see if he can receive the texts.

Average filter but the image is gray and not color RGB

Negative Highlights brighten the image instead of darkening

This is happening in Lightroom 4 final and is possibly related to this issue: Re: Brightening shadows darkens highlightsBrightening shadows darkens highlights.
Start with a fresh image
Set Whites to a highish value, like 55-60 or better 100.
Slowly move the Highlights or Shadows slider to the left
The image gets brighter even it is supposed to get darker. If you move Highlights to the positive side, the image gets darker.
Clarity also has this side effect.

How do I convert specific images on my clipboard to text once pasting the image onto my .pdf document?

Hey Adobe experts, I could really use your help.
I have a couple screen shots from school lectures that I pasted onto OneNote. These screenshots have substantial amount of text I could use. I have created a big .pDF document where I have been saving my notes and text. Now - how do I convert the SPECIFIC images I paste onto the document into text? I'm using the word "Specific" here because I know I can run OCR on a blank page without any text. But how do I run OCR on an image
It automatically happened a couple times when I tried saving the document immediately after I pasted the image - when I was under "edit PDF" I was able to edit and change fonts of the text. But how do I do this at will? Is there a special button somewhere?
P.S. I already tried OCR - but this is only limited to pages without already "renderable text".

If you are referring to running OCR on a page with image and renderable text, it is not supported. However, you could use the following workaround for the same:
1. Print the PDF document to Microsoft XPS Document Writer or go to File->Export to...->Image-> (Any format example TIFF or PNG)
2. Convert the output created to PDF. This PDF will contain all text and images as images.
3. Run OCR on this PDF.
This should resolve your problem

Muse updates the changed text but not the images

Hi,
So I love muse, but I have a big problem, which is that when I publish changes to the site (using BC) it updates the text changes I have made, but not the images.
I have tried everything, including deleting the original files and creating new buttons, I have created images behind the text buttons instead of having the images as backgrounds in the text.
Still nothing (I have cleared my caches and checked on other computers too)

Problem using text boxes as the "image" to drag and drop over audio file

I have been adding audio files to my page in iWeb (previous version, not '08), but I am having a problem giving them titles.
When you first drag a file from iTunes into iWeb, it provides a space for you to drag and drop a picture. The online iWeb guide also says that you can drag a text box there instead of a picture.
I created a text box with the text I would like to drop over the controller. However, it is no longer allowing me to drop the text box there. I used to be able to do this, and I don't know what I'm doing differently now. Any suggestions?

foobar2000 with the ipod plugin will allow you to drag/drop FLAC files and when it syncs the ipod, it converts the FLAC files on the fly. MUCH better than dealing with the crappy iTunes interface and having to pre-convert the files. I absolutely loathe iTunes and it just gets worse and worse!

Show text by clicking the image

Is there any feature in adobe muse to show the text (slide up effect from footer) by clicking specified img?? This would give the animation and enrich my page. I could use JavaScript but....

I haven't deduced a way to get exactly the behavior your looking for, but here's something that's close.
I've taken a Composition widget and removed all but one trigger container / target container pair, and set the options as shown in the screenshot.
The green trigger is shown mostly behind the red close box. In the "real" version I'd position the close box exactly on top of the trigger container.
If you preview this in a browser, it slides in from the bottom when the trigger is clicked and fades out when the trigger (actually the close box at this point) is clicked a second time.
With the options that are currently available in the widget, I don't think there's a way to get the slide out effect in combination with the other settings needed for this case, but someone else may have a creative way to achieve it.

Picture appears white (cannot see the image) when using camera raw filter in photoshop cc

I have a fresh install of Photoshop CC on my macbook. I am running into an issue when editing an image in Photoshop cc and using the camera raw filter. If I choose the camera raw filter camera raw opens up but all I see is white - the picture is not showing within the camera raw interface. This happens whenever I am working on a layer and apply the camera raw filter. The only time it works is when I do not have any layers but only the image as it comes directly from within camera raw - then it works fine. I'm guessing there is something really basic I am missing but it is maddening!

The Camera RAW filter will not work on an adjustment layer alone. Select the layer with the image and the adjustment layer and convert to a smart object to apply the Camera RAW filter to the image with the adjustment layer applied.

Is it possible to work only on a small part of the image in FCP ?

I"m working on a DV film that I have made this winter, but on the original film, the image (video) is a lot darker on both top corners (I have some problems with my camera when I use it outside during the winter).
Is there any way to work only on a part of the image with a filter, instead of working on the whole image. I would like to work on thoses 2 darker spot without touching the rest of the image.

What you need to do is color correct just those two portions of the image. In a DaVinci and Final Touch this is called using "power windows." Now, you can do this one of two ways.
1) Layer the same clip on the timeline 3 times. V1, V2 and V3. Same start and end time on all clips. Now, use the 4-point garbage matte on the clips on the upper layers to isolate those sections and then apply the 3-way color corrector to brighten the images.
2) Colorista by Red Giant Software (www.redgiantsoftware.com) is a $200 color correction filter that allows you to layer color correction and isolate specific areas...using POWER WINDOWS in effect.

Problem with Alt Text output from thumbnail image of Lightbox widget

I’m having a problem with the Lightbox widget not producing alternative text based on the image properties. I’ve set ALT text for the image properties on both the larger Ligtbox image as well as the thumbnail. But the HTML output from Muse does not include the ALT text on the thumbnail version of the image. Here’s an example:

This may be a problem that came in a previous release of Muse. I have a few older examples where ALT text is produced, but it’s no longer updated if I update the Image Properties.

I'm seeing the same problem. Looks like a bug to me. Any ideas as to how we can get this on Adobe's bug fix list?

How to change the image of the favourtie portlet

Can anyone tell me how can I change the image of the favourite
portlet ? I found that I can only change the title text but not
the image. Any clue ?

This is a hard coded image in the 3.0.x releases of Portal.
If you want to change it, the only way you can do it today is to
replace the ml_us.gif file which you will find in
$ORACLE_HOME/portal30/images
This is the image for the US language, there will be one for
each language installed. e.g. ml_f.gif for French.
If you replace that gif file with an image of your own using the
same file name, then yours will be rendered rather than the
default.

Why does my page loose formating when i add a text link on an image box?

I wanted to make my own nav with texts links. but i wanted to put the nav on an image like a black box. when i add the text and then link them to pages they started to work when i previewed them in iweb. But when i uploaded it to my ftp it messed up the formating on my page! So I tried to add a new text box without a link on the same image... now it doesn't even show up. What is the general rule of text on images? all i want to do is make a text nav on the image. Also i have made sure the image is sent back and the text to front.

I don't know if you've fixed them since michaelfromrochester's suggestion but all of the links are white with green rollover for me now.
If you haven't fixed them the clear your browser's cache (Command+Option+E for Safari) and reload the site.

Why do pages that consist solely of a jpg or png result in the message that the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors?

Whenever I click on URL links to pages that consist solely of a jpeg or png, I get a text-only message 'the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors'. Yet if I copy the same URL and try it in IE, the image displays just fine. This has been happening for some time, thru several upgrades of Firefox.

That is the default text that Firefox displays on a tab.<br />
As soon as the image has loaded then that text is replaced by the image.
If you keep seeing that text then something is blocking images.
