TextBox problem on Motorola (L6) device

Question

I have a problem on the L6 when showing a TextBox - before the TextBox is shown, a TextField edit box is shown first (which I must dismiss by pressing OK, before the TextBox is shown).
Does anyone know how to get round this problem? I see the desired operation has been achieved in Opera Mini - so it is possible...

does the jad name have to be the same as the jar?{color:#000080}AFAIK, yes it does.
Not only that, it's good policy for the jad, jar and MIDlet to all have the same name -- in the list of installed programs, some devices display the jar name and others display the MIDlet name. I haven't checked what happens if the jar contains a MIDlet suite rather than one MIDlet.
That said, some free hosting sites convert the name of the jad and jar to lowercase, which can cause a problem. Others (example: GetJar.com) require you to upload only a jar, and create the jad for you (options normally set in the jad are entered online).
Maybe you can use some other technique to identify your users.
