Not a question; merely a thanks.  Yesterday two women from Tech support (Deb and Rachael) spent a good amount of time on the phone with my 86-yr-old mom as they helped her set up a new phone.  They were patient and helpful.  thanks for that good service.

The live chat people are the best.  They've always helped me more than actually going to a store and dealing with the customer service there.

    Is there ANYONE out there who can identify and correct the problem causing intermittent non-functionality of my ATT/Yahoo email on FF? Evidently this is indeed a FF issue, as my email works fine with another browser on my Ipad. Does Mozilla in fact have in-house tech support people??
    To re-iterate the problem as I described it in this forum a week ago--but to which I had no response--I can open the email page, but it does not refresh to load new emails; I cannot compose and send, cannot delete, and cannot open any folders.
    I re-set FF, re-loaded an earlier version (that subsequently up-dated to v.22 on its own), tried System Restore. I spoke with ATT tech support then as well--at least they have live support, for free--and at the conclusion of nearly an hour the problem went away--until today, again--despite the tech's assertion that she did nothing, that perhaps an up-date had not completed loading?
    Today I downloaded the FF "Troubleshooter" software--that didn't help, either.
    I REALLY would appreciate an upper-level technician from Firefox/Mozilla responding to this--with a solution!

    This is Mozilla's tech support. Like most providers of free software, mozilla doesn't have a dedicated phone support system, but this site is manned by both staff (like me) and community members. You get support for ATT because you pay monthly to use their services.
    You should make sure you update to Firefox 23 (22 is out of date and no longer supported), and try all the steps at your previous post ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/966272]). Specifically, try a new profile or Reset Firefox [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]].

  • 3 hours of phone tech support on my C309g and still no wireless contectivity

    I spent 3 hours on the phone with Tech support on Sunday trying to connect my printer wirelessly.  After that long 3 hours, the technician elevated my call and said I would be getting a call back.  2 days later and nothing yet. 
    The technician  opened up port 427 inbound and outbound in Norton and in Windows firewall, but it still didn't work (that was the error message I am getting).  We uninstalled Norton and tried to connect that way, nothing.  I know that we did so much more in that 3 hours, but I can't remember all of it.  I am frustrated to no end.  If this is a problem for me I am sure it is a problem for other people.  I really think I will like the printer, but I am close to just taking it back and getting something that will connect in a touch of a button, like my laptop did.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Well, your router IP address is (IPv4 Default Gateway) 192.168.2.1 and your computer is 192.168.2.4 and your printer is 192.168.2.2.  All of these appear to be on the same network which is good.
    I think something is going on in Win 7 if you have all the firewalls disabled.  Have you done a Windows Update lately?
    Also, download and run this diagnostic, it may help us figure this out.

    why do I have to wait over 1.5 hours (still waiting) for tech support to pick up their phone?

    I have the Panasonic Frame Rate Converter, as well as the Component downloads for the Panasonic 1200A deck from the website.
    This is a freak occurrence, I believe. I have been editing with this setup for almost a year now, and this is the first time it has ever happened. Just came out of nowhere.

  • Wireless Mighty Mouse won't work properly with MacBook/tech support stumped

    Hi. First post. Anyone heard of this problem? Appears to be location-sensitive. Problem described below, but first, short background...
    Just bought entire Mac system after decades in corporate world with PC. Believed the TV ads that it would be simple. Already have been back to Mac store 6 times and have spent roughly 7 hours on phone with help line. Mac store even replaced Macbook entirely in case it was faulty logic board/Bluetooth circuit -- didn't help. Also, problem doesn't happen in store. So, to get to the point:
    Wireless Mighty Mouse doesn't work properly when hooked up to Macbook -- herky-jerky, slow, unresponsive, sluggish, imprecise, intermittently better/worse. Went through a few Mighty Mouses and finally gave up; now using hardwire mouse and there's no problem. But before I return Mighty Mouse for refund, would like to see if there's a solution b/c I'd prefer wireless.
    System is the latest little souped-up Macbook, 23" HD Cinema external monitor, external wireless Apple keyboard (which works fine), wireless Mighty Mouse (the culprit), Airport Express, HP printer. All brand new from local Mac store (Fifth Avenue, New York)... where the Genius counter folks have given up. I'm not convinced they believe me because (a) the problem doesn't occur there, and (b) after a couple of new Mighty Mouses, they finally just gave me a new Macbook to make me go away... but after going through the whole system setup once again, same problem. Have tried many different mousepads, BTW.
    Tried all the stuff phone tech support suggested -- removing/installing/reinstalling software, etc. Airport works fine; using modem and printer connections there. Bluetooth works fine with keyboard. I've scouted around for intefering devices; even unplugged electrostatic loudspeakers and old tubed amps in living room (concrete wall separates rooms), unplugged hifi in same room, etc. On 40th floor of Manhattan hi-rise; concrete walls between neighbors. Have never had interference before with anything; previous PC system worked fine with Microsoft wireless (optical) mouse.
    This is no longer urgent because hardwired Apple mouse works well. It's just mysterious.
    Any thoughts?
    Other than that, I like the Mac environment so far. Fifth Avenue store is cool, also, because it's open 24/7.

    Hey, thanks! That was fast. I'm impressed by the Mac community.
    This program helped my hardwired mouse, actually, and did give me wider parameters on the wireless mouse, but it didn't correct the herky-jerky/sluggishness -- actually amplified those problems.

    How come, not only is my phone going Mental and shutting itself and apps down,that everytime i phone tech support an get through to a advisor that they ask for my name an then can't hear me an hang-up? So not only do I have a huge problem on my only Phone but Nobody tohelp me?!?! I'm getting really frustrated by this whole thing Now. Has anybody else experienced these problems?

    A few weeks ago I saw the Lenovo K430 on NewEgg while shopping for a new Desktop. I was amazed by the K430’s features and great looks. However, after doing some research I became very baffled about the Power Turbo Switch and the many horror stories about upgrading the graphics card.
    I called Lenovo Technical Support to talk about possibilities and get advice about the graphics card, a woman answered the phone and informed me she had no idea or information about graphics card; but she recommended I speak to Sales. I was transferred to sales and they too informed me that they knew nothing about the computer or graphics card.
    I decided to call B&H Photo, the name sounds deceiving but they really are the best with support. The Technical Support told me if I really wanted a great computer I should think about building my own.
    So today, I embarked on the journey to build my own computer and I want to say thank you to Lenovo. If it wasn’t for Lenovo's extremely bad Tech Support and Sales I would not have built my own computer.
    Lenovo you are so terrible and clueless, you have inspired me, you have driven me by showing me your lack of knowledge and sense of awareness, the idea that a company has a sales and tech department that knows absolutely nothing about their own product. Thank you Lenovo, you are simply the worse PC maker on the Planet!
    Thanks to you; today I have the most powerful computer I could ever imagined. The only Tech Support Leno provides is the word Support on their website.

  • Does anyone have a phone number for Apple Tech Support?

    Is there a phone number to call Apple Tech Support? I've read and read the manual....can't find it. Have looked online under "iPod + iTunes Support"....saw a section about complimentary one time tech support...but no phone number. Is there any way to call them without signing up for the $59 Support contract?
    Any help would be appreciated.....I'm at a dead end.

  • Part Number Mixup - tech support phone number

         I have been trying to buy a replacement wireless WAN antenna (AUX) #P93P4387 (listed in HMM on page #127 and illustrated on page #112).  Trouble is there is also PN 93P4387 on listed on page 131 and illustrated on page 128.  The latter has been shipped.  I need the former.
        I talked to IBM parts today and they said that I have to have tech support clarify the proper item and gave me a number.  I called it and got a garbled message - obviously I was given an incorrect phone number.  Then went to the web site and could not find a phone number.
         I need the item pictures as "23" on page 112 of the HMM for the T60 and dated October 2007.  Can somebody identify the proper part number or refer me to someone I can talk to so that I can call IBM Parts back and get this thing???

    Trouble with Wireless WAN...  Can anyone help me get the correct part or suggest an alternative approach?
    I have a T60p (8743-CTO). 
    I replaced the fan but ,in the process, lost a part:  Wireless WAN (AUX) antenna cable (page 78 in HMM),  It is shown In the Overall Parts List exploded drawing (page 112) as #23 or PN 93P4387.
    I ordered this and received the part shown in the LCD FRU (page 128) as #6 which, unfortunately, is also a 93P4387. 
    It appears that Lenovo has the same part number for two separate items.
    I have tried to get a parts distributor, Lenovo Parts and Lenovo Tech Support to unravel this mystery but nobody will help.
    I would simply like to get the wireless capability in my laptop working again,.
    If anyone can help me find a correct part number or suggest a workaround I would be most appreciative.

    However, I have 3 Issues Regarding iPad 2 with IOS 7:
    1.)  I can no longer open up the apps from the update page. (I used to be
    able to &amp; it was a quick way of making certain that I wanted to keep an app
    before I updated it.
    2.)  I have many apps that I have updated since installing the new
    operating system &amp; they now have "open" symbols next to them, but I don't
    know how to get them off of my update list (since that has already been
    done to them).
    3.)  My iPad has gotten stuck or frozen more in this last week since the
    new update then has in the last 2 years put together. (It seems to be stemming from the "Updates" page as sometimes  that page is just white &amp; will not open, even though everything else opens &amp; I have an internet connection.)

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.     I cannot find the Tech Support number for QuickTime support. I have been trying to resolve my QuickTime issue for three days and really need phone assistance. The self-reporting Tech Support online form requires a serial number for the product, but QuickTime does not come with a serial number.

    When I click on the link to launch QuickTime Pro, it does not launch the program. A small box appears at the bottom of the screen with the QuickTime logo "Apple QuickTime", but when I hover the mouse over the icon, it contains a blank blue screen. If I click on it, nothing happens.
    Any suggestions?

    I just bought this quicktime pro ( junk ) I can't believe there is no support for it other than these forums. tried several numbers and you end up with some poor boob in INDIA who doesn't know anything about it or they ask for a serial number that you can't give and don't have. WOW what a disapointment this products lack of support turned out to be, wish I didn't buy it.
    Anyway loaded it and it plays, but when I try to download the video to my computer the drop box on the right corner does not drop down. what am I missing here.?
