Praise where its due. David and Stephanie have been very helpful with my intermeittent sync problem and have been in touch daily with updates.
They arranged an engineer visit today.
The Engineer was really helpful - replaced the drop line and master socket - very neat job too.
So far all good so thanks for the help received.

I know many contributors to these forums say thanks to mods in each individual thread but not being a regular forum contributor I thought I would start this thread.
I have had BB speed problems for months, which affected my Vision ‘on demand’ usage (the dreaded V04 message). Contacted India, spoken to engineers, had an engineer visit. The visiting engineer changed my telephone plate to an ADSL v1.0 type (no filters needed on any extension) and disconnected the earth wire. No real success.
Raised a compliant though the BT.com pages, then contact the mods direct, since then things have improved. Took a couple of goes but I now have speeds of just below 3.0mbps and have been able to watch the on demand stuff. I have been connected now for almost five days, no restarts / resync. I trust it will now remain stable, but only time will tell.
Contacting the mods is a one to one exchange and they appear to claim ownership of your problem. At least they make the effort, so a BIG thanks, especially Stephanie.Hi brightspark.
I am sure the mods will appreciate you making the effort to show your appreciation, cos I don't see mannnny threads saying thanks to the mods.

Happy ending (thanks to the Mods).
Just a quick post to offset all the doom and gloom normally found here.
I contacted the forum moderators (Dean) after my BB began to deteriorate and noist began to appear on the landline.
An engineer visit was scheduled for the 11th March between 8 and 1 and the engineer promptly showed up at 9:15.
He diagnosed the fault as a broken line in the junction box attached to the outside of my house.
He then moved the box a little lower as the lines were a tad short and replaced the wire into the house.
He was also informative when I began to ask some technical questions as well as not trying to fob me off with waffle for those questions that he didn't know the answers to.
I am now back to my usual speeds (around 46D/8U due to distance from cab).
Only need to get interleave mode switched back to fast mode.
So all in as good a result as I could have expected.
Thanks Mods.I've been dealing with Dean recently and whilst it's taken longer to fix my problem than I would have liked - not Dean's fault btw - I also would like to commend him and all the other mods.
I doubt that without a moderators help my problem would have been resolved by now.
Dealing with these guys certainly helps considerably, in my case my email. Certainly far easier & far less frustrating than dealing with a call centre. -

Running 10.6.8. Trying to open and view contents of a CD (of an MRI) and getting message 'This program cannot be run in DOS mode' Is there a way? Thanks for the help.
Go to the support site for the provider of the MRI software.
Sounds like it windows/PC. I have ran across that for the CDs that veterinarians provide for digital x-rays.
I would try on a PC or on yuur Mac with Windows via BootCamp or a virtual machine like VirtualBox -
I have a problem that I can not load or even close the download in iTunes, it turns out I have hanging in the mode, and because of that I can't download from AppStore, because it turns out that the other programs I have on standby. What do I do? Thank you.
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I wish to give my heart felt thanks to the CCA dev team for the latest version (3.2.1), out of the many CCA's I have used over the years this has to be the best revision thus far.
In short I had to do a complete overhaul of a UC-520 last night from its original configuration which was done using "CCC" which was part of an Early Fields Trial test, the system was in a very aged state and in desperate need of the overhaul. CCA managed to upgrade both the CME and CUE with no troubles, which for me has been the first time this has been achievable, in fact when you press the "F2" command to review what's taking place, I noticed that its error handling is significantly improved over previous versions.
I cannot imagine the time and effort that was put into bringing this version to market, but it certainly has improved the ability to rebuild a system from scratch without major drama, what was more impressive is that it allowed an upgrade of the CUE from version 3.2 to 8.1.6.3 without incremental upgrade procedures which I have had to do multiple times in the past... This alone is worthy of praise
The only trouble I had was with the 7941/7961 phones, many of them would not upgrade due to their firmware version, all the 7965/7970 phones upgraded happily even though their firmwars were pretty much original manufacturers... I do however have two phones that are in a semi bricked state now due to this firmware issue, and am not sure how I am going to recover them from this state, but I do know they require a firmware upgrade to recover them.
So any thoughts on the above would be greatly appreciated

Please goto the downloads section of the respective phone and grab the lowest most probably for

When you get the files if you wish to use the CCA, just delete the phone loads from maitenance->phone load management. Then drag and drop the zip files on the UC to add the new phone load. After successfull upgrade to the uppper metioned version of the phones which could not be updated prevoiusly just remove these fimwares and add the shipped with software pack versions of the latest ones.

How Can I say "thank you" to the iMovie Team? Someone forward it to them?
My son died Sunday. In the middle of incredible grief, I needed to make a video of stills of his life. I had never touched iMovie (or iDVD) before. I was able to stumble through every thing I needed to do and get it done against a very tight deadline.
I wanted them to KNOW that the decisions that they made in all the hundreds of meetings and planning that made this program able to be used by someone that could barely see the screen through tears MATTERS.
It won't make Hollywood, but it comforted my son's friends and family when we needed to see him. Do you EVER think what you do does not matter.

You can try to use following powershell command (if you want to allocate 14,16 LPs for each NIC and 0,1 LP for default queue ) :

Get a Report crashed error while running report using the mode character
Hello,
I'am getting an "Enable to run report - Report as crashde" issue only when I'am running reports using the mode character. The same report with desformat pdf never has any problems. I have changed the englife (set to one) increase the cachesize but I still have the same issue.
I'm using report 6i and Oracle 8i.

How to determine the Support Team from the Reported by?
Hello Everyone,
I am working with Solution Manager 4.0 and I want to use Automatic Partner Determination in Service Desk. My employer wants the Support Team (SLFN0003) to be determined by the Reported by (SLFN0002).
There are already parts of the Automatic Partner Determination that work, like determining the Sold-to Party from the IBase component. Because of that I believe the customizing leading to a correct Partner Determination Procedure is working. But somehow I cant seem to get the determination of the Support Team from the Reported by to work. Hopefully someone can help me on this matter.
